Why, out of interest?
I've played just over 100 games with her, and am pretty confident in saying that nearly everything she can do, other killers can do better and more consistently.
Now that people know what to expect, she has the Wraith issue of being able to find chases fast, but taking a very long time to close them out.
I find her passive phasing in particular really good on indoor maps like Lerys and RPD. I've been downed plenty of times on outdoor maps because her passive phasing happened at a bad time.
In a swf I find it difficult to tell exactly when she left you. If she doesn't make it obvious by turning away and teleporting it can be difficult to tell exactly when she left you.
I'm not saying she won't get destroyed by good survivors. But when you compare her to the other C tier killers, I think she's far better than them.
-
I genuinely think the new killer is underrated. I wouldn't put her lower than B tier.

Slightly worse version but if someone wants to play killer more there you go
EDIT: I did my math wrong and it is actually 585 000 (still worse than OG poster 675 000)

That's pretty helpful for the killer players so thanks mate π

You can save one more master challenge by sparing out the Billy and Glyph challenges on the right, and claiming the two killer challanges in between (just one master challenge):
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/FF815VWQZ2QP/tome-10-4.jpg
You do not have to claim the Glyph master challenge on the right at all in your solution, since you'll reach the survivor behind it via the killer master challenge above!
It's really irritating I missed that π thanks for letting me know mate π

Not too sure lad. I'd say that number wouldn't be too far off.
Thanks for coming to the discussion lad π

Devotion 17 Level 10. Tbh with how long I've been playing and the amount of free time I had years ago, it should be higher.
If I could play games for 2+ hours without needing a break then I probably would be. There's only a select few games that I can do this with.

I can only go off of anecdotal evidence but when playing with friends with it turned off I get a hell of a lot more than when it's turned on, as do they, so either we're incredibly terrible when it's turned on or it messes with the timing.
Considering though that it also messes with Power Struggle + DS it wouldn't surprise me.
I'm doing just as well with flashlight saves now as when I have it turned off. I've been inconsistent with flashbang locker saves though so I don't know.
Would really like someone to put up a side by side video to prove does it change anything.
-
I haven't touched dbd since last week because of Elden Ring. I know at least 2 people who are the same.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
Fun fact, if someone has wiggle set to skill checks it actually messes with the timing
Was this proven? Me and a few mates tested this when going to locker saves and it didn't seem to affect it.
-
I'd change Flashbangs. Here's the changes:
- 25% gen progression to get a flashbang instead of 50%
- Flashbangs stack like Stake Out. This is so you don't need to let go of a gen to get the flashbang
Simple quality of life changes.
-
Personay believe this is a bait but i can't be certain π€
However for the people who genuinely believe we should nerf all those perks, here's the problem.
- Highest rank survivors will be fine, except vs Nurse and Blight.
- Low rank survivors (where killer is stronger) will be completely destroyed and probably leave the game.
- High rates will go up, leading the devs to consider buffing survivors and nerfing the top tier killers.
- Killers will find something else to complain about like Deliverance or For The People.
Overall the game will be in a worse state.

This is such a common hag misconception though. If a survivor is constantly chasing you its a 3v1 and eventually his flashlight will run out and a good hag can play around this to turn the tables on him. People see hag lose 3 gens and assume she must be weak but never take into account the end game and what happens in those two gens
Exactly. If she just stays at one half of the map and controls it, she is very strong. Hags never care about how many gens pop. They also are usually quite happy to play he dirty side of the game (camp and 4 man slug).
Flashlights eventually do run out but it still isn't good design imo.

Massively disagree with Hag. I think a killer who, imo, is weak when survivors have flashlights but too strong without them is badly balanced.
If we fix camping, I think Bubba is perfectly balanced.

I'm excited for it in a year and a half when the price drops to $20 during Steam sales.
Compared to most new games it's quite cheap. Β£45 is a lot less than the Call Of Dutys that cost Β£65.
I think your risking spoilers but fair enough π
-
I like facing Huntress, when she is used sparingly. Before Nurse was disabled, Huntress was the killer I faced the most. That plus the bullshit hitboxes she has, can make you begin to hate her.
-
After facing a Hag, regardless of your teammates, this is the normal reaction to her.
Everytime I face Hag I think "I'm done with this game".
-
If you said the add-ons trash then I say we should give it a buff.
Imo a nice buff would be to double your speed boost while coming out of cloak π

-
I disagree massively. First off I believe, as unfun as it may be at the highest level, it's balanced.
Secondly they have released so many good perks the last year. No Way Out, Lethal Pursuer, Deadlocked, Pain Resonance, Buffed Dead Mans Switch. All of these are great perks and are seen quite often at high ranks.

Do it first. I changed my path slightly because I noticed I made a mistake.
Collecting the Billy challenge is better than saving it. We're now saving the bottom 2 challenges instead.

I'd far rather the devs just release a lot less charms. They have been quite useless since the early tome levels.

I dunno. I find hag to be almost stupidly easy, crouch through the traps, flashy flashy the one in front of the hook, and you're good to go.
As far as basement and trickster, while his ranged potential is threatening, I don't think he's that much more difficult than any other killer. Honestly I'd say huntress would be the harder killer to save from, as she only needs to land two hatchets, rather than 12.
Well that's not a camping Hag if your able to crouch through all her traps.
Trickster has to hit 12 knives but unlike Huntress if he misses a shot, it doesn't really matter. Also a camping Trickster builds up main event stupidly easy.
-
@AsherFrost said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2823364#Comment_2823364
Well yeah, trickster and hag? Those are easy saves.
Not really lol easy in basement. Especially at low ranks also where players don't have access to the anti-camping perks.
-
This game needs to get new players to survive. At the lowest rank of dbd the game is considered killer sided, so they should stay.
At low ranks camping will probably stop people playing this game. They are already bad at looping and don't understand why camping is still in the game. If you get your mates to play this game, it's incredibly challenging to explain why I can't save them vs a camping Bubba, Trickster or Hag.
-
I really like the current state of Bubba. I really hope they don't nerf him either (though I don't see why they would).
I've seen a few people say that Bubba should lose some charges after getting a hit with the chainsaw. Personally I wouldn't be against this. You never down more than 1 survivor per chainsaw charge unless your camping anyway.
-
Come on.. I just wanted to give dbd a break for a bit while I played Elden Ring.
Well I guess I'm going to miss out on a lot of bloodpoints.

I didn't even start it! I do own it, but still have not got around to playing it.
I will say time is a massive factor for me, I need to spend so much time on these games because I'm really not good at them, and I just don't have a large amount of free time
DS3 has the best bosses of the series imo so it's unfortunate you haven't gotten to experience them yet. If you have no time that's fine π I usually give play souls games in short bursts (2 hours) after work before I leave it for a day.

Ok that's my 3rd favourite game of all time so I respect that. A literal 10/10 game.
Did you not finish DS3?
-
@Mandy said:
I have concerns...I always get hyped and then get a bit disappointed when a game doesn't live up to my expectations (Dying Light 2 for example). I probably won't play Elden Ring at first - lets just say my completion rate with Souls born games are a bit on the low side :( But I will definitely be watching some streamers play it.
Not finishing a souls game is a sin π₯
I'd say watch the first few hours of the game and then decide. That's what I did before playing Detriot Become Human.

Nah, it is part of the experience to have a somewhat difficult game. And personally, I think the difficulty of Souls-games is hugely exaggerated. They are challenging, this is for sure, but they are not really the hardest games ever.
But I have also tried to play games like I wanna be the guy, and IMO Miyazaki makes casual games compared to this ######### who created I wanna be the guy.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2821887#Comment_2821887
I dont know, I just did not enjoy it in general. Not even the gameplay itself, but it just felt weird to play a From Software-Game which such a low amount of customization, e.g. I want to try out different weapons and the excitment to find a new weapon and test out its moveset makes a lot for me in Fromt Software-Games.
I think I will try Cuphead at some point, but I really struggle to start new games. I am that kind of guy who dumps in lots of hours in a few games instead.
What I will say about Cuphead is that it's a different style of game but it is incredibly difficult.
The thing you will love the most about it is the music. As a souls fan you know how important the music is to a boss. Well Cupheads boss music is amazing!

I know, wouldn't it be awful if they added a mode to make the game more accessible so everyone could enjoy it.
As Aven said it's part of the experience. You play a souls game for the souls experience. You expect bosses that will take a hour plus to beat, but when you beat it you feel amazing. You appreciate the difficulty because it feels fair.
-
Agreed
-
@dugman said:
Eh, not really interested in Dark Souls type games. π€·ββοΈ
Fair enough π it's a game where you need a lot of patience. It's the most rewarding game series you'll ever play though.
When you meet someone who's beaten the games, without help, you have literally meet a brother.
-
I played killer about 50/50 with survivor till about a year ago. I don't play it anywhere near as much now.
I like to talk while playing multiplayer games, otherwise I'd rather just play a single player game. It's why I don't play a lot of solo q either.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
Yes, very excited for it. I did not play Sekiro (only a bit, but it did not really get me) and the last Soulslike I played was Code Vein over a year ago.
So since DS3 I have not played a From Software-Game. Really looking forward to it.
I didn't enjoy it either. I think my problem was I never really used the parrying system.
If you haven't played Cuphead before, you should try it.

They can do anything, teleport you, insta heal you, kill you etc.
Basically theres far too many situations where you can gain increased speed and sadly BHVR isnt the best at coding and I could imagine they would accidentally mess up and get a bunch of people banned or it would take ages to put in.
SBMM took years. That's kills and escapes only...
Now imagine a system that tracks loads of different situations from exhaustion perks, increased speed on hit, boons, clown bottles, medkit addon (event) etc. Etc. So many factors can result in a change in speed
Yea I assumed so. I wouldn't want to risk getting banned by behaviour because a hacker kept following me and teleporting me once I was close to going down.
-
@Shaped said:
I love their games but I am not that excited anymore. It is getting repetitive, maybe I am not thinking straight tho.
My favorite is probably sekiro so far. Elden ring reminds me of dark souls too much for some reason, and I am tired of ds.
I actually didn't really like Sekiro. I thought they repeated the same bosses too much. I'm definitely not burned out of DS and the bosses they have.
@Sleem said:

I am getting old - the excitement fades.
It is a lot kinda the same... you`ve seen it before.
Yea it is very similar. I'm not as excited about it being open world as everyone else is (because I like to collect everything). However the bosses are unrivalled from any other game and the feeling beating them is unrivalled.
-
Could be wrong but I think cheaters are able to mess around with other survivors movement speeds.
-
Unique killers are very tough to balance, especially now after 5+ years of perks. Nurse is the best killer in the game because she completely ignores the rules to surviving in dbd.
You need a killer who can down survivors, hook them and sacrifice them. If you don't need most of the perks on both sides are useless. Unfortunately giant spiders can't do that. Plus it takes too long creating new killers like that on a consistent basis since they need to create completely new models.
-
Alien would be quite unique and could also be quite scary (which I like).
For me it's one of the 3 chapters I think the 6th year could be.
