How does it work for stealth killers? Does it not activate?
Correct. Or, at least, this is how it worked way back. I haven't touched it in a long time.
-
Positive and constructive post. We need more of those.

Bhvr should just delete spine chill, make it basekit but it lights up when you're in the killer's terror radius ... well at least until they make some proper visual indicators.
Fun fact: dbd mobile has a visual indicator for TR.

It's kinda funny how they first nerfed it back in the days from 4s to 3s when Enduring was no longer affecting DS. They said that 4s were no longer needed but then a short time later they buffed it to 5s because high mobility killers could easily counter the 3s stun. The problem was (and still is) that you need to get to full speed once you hit the ground and that 3s were not enough.
And now they nerf it to 3s again, because it's "no longer needed"
I don't remember the exact timeline of the changes. 3 sec is nothing, though. Probably, who buffed it at 5 sec is no longer part of the decision process and those who are have little knowledge of gameplay. Or, they intentionally overnerfed to shift the meta. Which,by the way, is not the correct way to encourage variety. It only encourages a different set of meta perks.
-
90 sec? Wait for the forever Legion/Plague meta. You're gonna need way more than fancy skillchecks to stay awake.
@fulltonon said:
or just remove skill check, so you can watch your phone while playing this game.
See, this is the right mindset. Play dbd on one platform while going dbd dating sim on another. Based.

1 - That's the goal? Why would you want to buff meta killers? There's no point in making M1 killers better if you keep the gap between them and meta killers the same. Also bloodlust has been buffed too! So killers who know when to break pallets win bc it'll take less time to do and killers who don't kick pallets because they're bad also win because BHVR said so.
2 - The kick means survivor can't tap generators mid-chase anymore. It means kicking gens is actually useful now and also it takes less time to do. Also 10s gen increase means every single thing related to gen speed slowdown (add-ons & perks) has been buffed, because x% of 90s is higher than x% of 80s. 4 stacks of Thana alone will mean a gen takes 115 seconds to complete, that's insanely good (for killers, survivors will cry themselves to sleep thinking about forever plague and legion)
Ruin has been nerfed too hard I agree, it shouldn't be a hex anymore or the desactivation effect should be deleted, but both is way overkill. And the slowdown speed hasn't actually been reduced by half, bc 90>80.
POP is still good if you use it properly. Also it probably gets the extra 2.5% from the kick buff?
PR and DMS are stil veryl good on their own, but they were way too op together. The combo still works if you actually make the effort of pressuring the gen instead of getting free pressure + block a gen + know where the survivor is. You can just equip BBQ and still gain the same effect, if you work for it a little bit.
Also overcharge, jolt, thana, eruption have been buffed, and they're all gen perks, you'll be fine. Monstrous shrine buff is also very good.
On the survivor side, 5s BT is nothing if the killer wants to tunnel. DS won't be used anymore, DH for distance is dead (we'll have to wait for the ptb to judge the rest), OTR will probably be nerfed before it goes live, IW and Spine chill were nerfed to the ground, Self-care is even worse and calm spirit got the nerf it desperatly needed (I'm still not over it). Only lightweight and botany got actual good buffs on the survivor side (and OTR, but again i doubt it'll make it live).
In conclusion killers will be stronger in chases and survivors will take longer to do gens. Camping has been buffed unintentionnally (survivors can't "just do gens and leave" when the gens take longer but the hook stage weren't increased, and monstrous shrine makes it deplete a whole 20% faster). So no, i can hardly imagine how the kill rates would drop.
This is a balanced view. Take note, folks.
-
It's not a macro. If you hold m1 during a swing you come out swinging at the 1st frame available. That coupled with reappearence often being desynced despite a patch where they changed it, makes it look like that on survivor side.
@Murgleïs said:
There is only 1 macro on nurse, it’s blink charge / fatigue cancel when you m1 instead of going into fatigue. Is it very situational and not game breaking at all.
That was allegedly fixed. And it's 100% an exploit, no point in arguing that. The fatigue is there for balance purposes.

I am not seeing that, but I could be wrong and so can the wiki as i have seen mistakes before. I didnt take into account play with your food anyway which has around the same increases as bloodlust so there is a bit more range there but it doesnt change the numbers that much
- Nerf: the Bloodlust Speed boost is no longer applied to a Lunge Attack.
Bloodlust is a mechanic that was introduced with Patch 1.5.0. It increases the Killer's movement speed during a prolonged chase in order to shorten the overall chase time. Bloodlust, like Perks, has three Tiers: Bloodlust is being built-up whenever a Killer chases a Survivor for a certain amount of time without interrupting the Chase.Losing Line of Sight of a Survivor or if they are gaining enough distance from the Killer will result in a swift decrease of Bloodlust. You lose all Bloodlust when -
Testing ptb bugs is irrelevant. The ptb runs on an out-of-date build.

Don't bother. Nothing will be done about this. It's been in the game forever. They even told us it looks fine on the killer screen and a 150ms ping is pretty good. You get the message.

Opening an exit gate added as well. I assume that means DS is deactivated as soon as you begin opening an exit.
It likely is. Currently, it's deactivated even if you just tap and release an action that resets, like cleansing or unhooking.

I apologize. You are right that the <4.6 killers get the fill lunge of .69m but if the killer is faster than 4.6 they get increased lunge based on their new speed. (at least according to the wiki
They get incresead lunge based on speed with the exception of bloodlust boost. It should be on the wiki as well in the bloodlust or lunge section.

@Murgleïs said:
The Feng could have last longer using the trees. She was still able to reset the chase, she made mistakes and paid the price.
I agree. After all, pallets are made of wood. So, no need to use the second-hand stuff when you can get the real thing.
-
A Killers lunge grants 150% movement speed of the killer for .3 seconds 4.4 killer no bloodlust gets .66m extra and a fully bloodlusted 4.6 killer gets .78m extra
I can't comment on the rest, but all killers have the same lunge and bloodlust extra speed doesn't affect it.
-
It's probably going to play out like when Undying released. There will be a fee months of slaughter, a dip in player numbers and then they'll nerf some stuff.

1.3s to be precice. 1.7s of distance can be made which, moving at a speed of 4m/s, gives the survivor (1.7*4m =) 6.8m of distance.
For comparison, 5 second DS stun grants 3.7s of distance which, moving at a speed of 4m/s, gives the survivor (3.7*4m=) 14.8m of distance.
That's an increase of 8m. 115% killers catch up at a speed of 0.4m/s, meaning that in a situation with no obstacles, no bloodlust, and only holding the W key that's 20 seconds of distance lost.
Alright. For dropping facts like that, you earned a Tommy and Calimero ❤️ (Pssst! Don't tell'em the box is broken and shredded. They won't have it any other way!)

Generally, you lose the endurance status effect if you get put in deep wound. We shall see how they code those. Also, no player with two braincells will hit someone within 5 sec of unhooking.
DS is inconsequential, nobody will run hit.
-
Oversight and spaghetti code.
-
If you want to simulate this, keep in mind that the survivor is locked in the animation for about 1 sec. So, you don't gain the full 3 sec of distance.
-
@Risky_Biscuit said:
Alot of these changes are questionable, but this one sounds like it'll be consistently abused by survivors. They'll do unsafe rescues, then the unhooked player will use the effect of OTR to save the rescuer immediately, with zero risk to either one of them. They both have a whopping 80 seconds to be a complete nuisance for the killer, bodyblocking and trolling with their nigh invincibility from a single perk. It's definitely overtuned, and they are definitely going to have to nerf it, otherwise it's just a superior version of borrowed time. Not good.
They lose the endurance if they try to unhook.

@HexPleaseLetMeSpeak said:
Dude honestly, if I don't have a kill by 3-4 hooks. I'm tunneling someone out, you literally have to unless you're playing against literal babies.
Until BHVR adds an actual benefit to hooking multiple people without ever killing anyone, there's literally no reason for me to waste my time on it. I need to get a kill and actually apply pressure or else gens will just keep flying and I've accomplished nothing.
I mean, if you have a kill by 3-4 hooks, it means you already have tunneled someone out.
All you're saying is that if your early tunnel wasn't succesful, then you're gonna keep doing it harder.

Ok so im just lucky and my grabs became hits.
Yeah, grab validation still applies. But endurance in itself won't prevent grabs.
-
Yes.
-
If you increase gen times, there's even less incentive to pre-cleanse, because you'd be literally throwing the match. It's already impossible to do now with a facecamping killer.
Someone who does play the game would know that the two things can't go together. And yet both changes were made. With aura to boot, so even less of a reason to touch totems early.
I've already said this, most of this update is backward compared to its declared goals. The noed change is but one example.
-
They were silent on that front. Safe to assume the answer is no.
-
Solos got OTR. Everything else they got the short end of the stick in this patch (yeah, mini BT is inconsequential).
-
It's a buff also if you weren't a camptunneler.

Next week there’s a PTB, then we’ll see how things go. I don’t like some of these changes either but bhvr is always willing to change some things after they’re being tested in the PTB
You're overly optimistic about the purpose of the ptb. It's 90% simply an early access. Even worse because we get an out-of-date build already.
Moreover, they've been notoriously stubborn in forcing big changes down our throats whenever they put man-hours into those, despite massive community negative feedback.
What you're reading in the devs' post is going to be the live version.

It's 10% faster. Calm down. Camping has nothing to do with looping so maybe you could exclude it from your next breathless outrage post? A little focus, please.
If the killer is camping (and is incentivized to do so), no one can loop. So, technically, camping does have something to do with looping.

They will still be able to do this though, right? Won't running with 1 second of BT cover the distance of old DH anyway? So it's really not that different, if not better? And it would mean you have the choice of pulling the pallet or just taking a hit and saving the pallet whilst you run to a safer loop (if hit)?
WORST thing is (for killers at least), I'm guessing they will NOT have any indication on whether a survivor has used their DH or not. So right now you can bait out a DH right? Well with the new DH you will never know if they really used it or not. That's a scary thought.
It's confirmed there will be an animation.

It's definitely going to replace BT. Why bring something to protect someone else when you can have it to protect yourself instead?
It's like the time they tried selfish care where self care slowed your healing speed for others, so if you were the one person NOT running it, you were punished for everyone else doing it. Now you have to run OTR because nobody will be protecting you with BT.
Same reason survivors bring it now, because not everyone uses DS (soon to be replaced by OTR). Or people bringing CoH, because not everyone brings items to heal up.
Besides, 5 sec endurance is nothing. Smart killers will just position themselves to bodyblock.
With gens taking longer, making the unhook successful is going to be crucial.

I'll have to play first to figure out if it will majorly restructure what I do. My favorite Survivor build is: Iron Will, Calm Spirit, Spine Chill, & some other Perk depending on what is needed for the team. :) So all the ones I frequent took a hit. I'm not certain they took enough of a hit that I won't use them.
Took enough of a hit? I have to be blunt, your build has just gotten ######### annihilated.
I'm not sure what you can be running as a replacement. If you want stealth, probably not much. You might be better served using a gateway build with lithe, dance with me, quick & quiet.

A general rule is that when Bloodlust activates, you've already lost the chase.
Buffing Bloodlust 2 and 3 won't really do much.
You mean currently.
Because with nerfed gen times and improved bloodlust, when it kicks in, you won't have lost the chase.

Wasn't getting rid of the slowdown meta the whole point of the base changes?
They buffed chase mechanics at base. It means there's even less reason to run anything other than slowdown and seal the deal on your ability to stop gens. The entire update is backward.
-
Don't play solo Q after next update. You're not overreacting. Next update, you get found first, you ain't getting off that hook.

Def was intended as a address to camping imo.
Well. If they intended, they failed. Really hard too. Game is about to become Deathgarden 2.0
-
You're mistaken. There's some anti-tunnel (with a big nerf to DS to undo everything else)
But there's no anti-camping in the update. They actually buffed camping via increased gen time, reduced hit cooldown and leaving hook grabs untouched.

Borrowed time helps with tunneling, it doesn't make camping any harder
killer can still very much trade the hooked guy for the unhooker, or get multiple downs. As long as they have someone on the hook they win bc the others won't have time to do the gens
Correct.
The devs basically pulled a Deathgarden with this update.
