Hmm yes killer gets their righteous 4k but yeah lets give survivors yet ANOTHER second chance just to prolong the game. At that point just end the game not worth spending more time in the trial especially if hatch was closed.
-
His chainsaw hitbox doesn't extend that far out, only wide. It's bhvrs horrible servers that feels like you're always playing on 200 ping unless the killer legitimately had it which we STILL don't have an option to see.

They are completely different. Sensitivity doesnt correlate to be an advantage if you turn them to one side. Its just an individual matter on what you like and can handle. FOV is just an advantage.
Sensitivity can 100% be an advantage. Also who cares if FOV is an advantage on killer? Its a 4v1 you're already at a disadvantage so why does it matter so much.

I mean it does let you see things you wouldn't have without it.
That is not really a good argument for something that should be an accessibility option without hindering how you want to play the game (aka running 4 perks you want to and not 3 and 1 to get rid of motion sickness). It's literally embarrassing how bhvr put an accessibility thing as a perk. Basically removing some of the players agency.

I think they think everyone needs to be on the exact same playing field unless you're up a whole perks lot for it.
QoL and accessibility should NEVER be locked behind a perk.

@GoshJosh said:
I understand removing one.. but both? The main building is one of the few saving graces for survivors on that map... well, and the moronic two dedicated totem spawns by shack.
I mean... it being the most busted main buildings in the game is well deserving of no windows on the side.
-
Any soley m1 based killer. With how the current meta is just to waste as much time as possible you cant afford to go after x survivor, get dh'd for distance then go onto someone else that's gonna do the same thing.
-
Because "it would possibly make immersing less affective" and "balance around how much the killer can see". Like idk how the killer fov can affect how X will work mid game but bhvr things I guess.
-
Here's the thing.. in the current state of dbd survivors dont need meta to do well. But any m1 based killer like clown or trapper needs it cause they just dont have pressure.
-
Would be a great edition to killer. Not survivor as its 3rd person.
-
@Johnny_XMan said:
I don’t think DS, UB, and BT should be put in the same category as other “meta” perks.
Because they are there to counter a playstyle not a perk. If they considerably reduced the accessibility of those playstyles and incentivize them. I’d argue we would see other perks being brought instead of the constant feeling to need to have BT in every match or DS because of how the killer chooses to play that day.
Unbreakable should as it can just completely make a killer afraid to snowball and lose everything for the teams mistake of grouping up.
-
DMS. It has the simplest counter when paired with pain res. After you lose the aura on the survivor that was downed, let go of the gen for a few seconds until the person gets hooked then get back on.
I'm afraid they're gonna do 2 things instead of just 1 which is a slight duration decrease. But I'm afraid they're gonna add a cool down as well after the perk is up.
-
Well killer perks are most likely getting nerfed as well so a nurse nerf probably wont be needed.
-
I still don't get why people complain about it when it has 4 different methods to search for totems, 3 of which just gives you wall hacks for totems.

That's why you learn how to curve, learn all of the aspects of his kit and you can absolutely destroy the enemy team with time.
With time when its your enemy. Someone pre drops and your curve abilities get dropped to 0 cause most pallets are just safe after they've been dropped.
-
Idk because he was a "wee bit overpowered"
-
Ehhh... against people that know how to play against billy you 100% need perks. Cause back revving can only get you so far unless you're one of the few curve billys left.
-
@GannTM said:
You forgot to add “it’s needed against Nurse or you die in 20 seconds” which is a very fair argument.
Its crazy because.... ive seen good survivors run nurses for close to a minute when the nurse was well known for being good.

Good god! There are categories to tunneling now?
Well given that tunneling is a acronym for tunnel vision... should just be going after 1 single person the entire match and not caring about other people unless they consistently hinder you. Not this "he went for me off hook even though i was the easier target".
-
@IlliterateGenocide said:
I really don't know how to feel about it.
if they do it wrong they could encourage camping and tunneling
or they could encourage gen rushing.
They already inadvertently encourge camping and tunneling with how miserable the survivor meta is to play against.
But for people that actually want to play and win can chill.
-
Giga chad trapper.
-
Its really not an issue and I find anyone that thinks it is just likes to drag out the game longer than it needs to be.
-
I'm surprised they removed sky billy before space billy (yes they are 2 different things).
-
Maybe, you technically were "healed"
-
COH never became useless it is still a faster self heal than self care and dead hard is blatantly overpowered for a perk that can be brought on each survivor.
-
Thing is iron will says it silences grunt of pain not breathing which is something else entirely.
-
Well prestiging increased your chance to find better quality addons so if you like using greens purple and iris it will most likely be worth it.
-
Gigachad trapper.

Idk about fair but it was a legit strategy as rng is what decides how the game goes.

Blight needs a rework he is only viable for high end dpi switch mouse users they can abuse him in ways he wasn't meant to so you have 0 counter play but the average players and especially console gamers they can't play him.
Dpi doesnt affect how far you can flick anymore....

Am I the only person who thinks Clown is pretty decent on these forums???
Against bad survivors yeah. Against people that pre drop and run away as you set up a speed + slow bottle.... not so much.

Looks like a normal hit. His red stain was basically entirely on the log and not on the ground.

If Circle of Healing got nerfed by "popular demand" and Dead Hard is getting nerfed, according to the developer stream, because it's not fun to go against, then it would seem that Killers can also get nerfed because they're not fun to go against. It's the nature of the beast.
You can't really have unfun things to go against in games. If you want a non DBD example, look at noob-tubes and snipers in first person shoot games. The entire reason those were nerfed was because they aren't fun to go against.
CoH was undeniably busted as a perk in a 4v1 and so is DH. That is what should be the true reason they get nerfed.
-
Yeah I don't know what they were thinking with sadako. In the games current state every killer has to have some form of anti loop whether that be a speed boost or just straight pyramid head type power because this game wasnt really built for the 1v4 despite it being 1v4.
-
@blue4zion said:
I still don't understand the dead hard hate. Simply because they dont also hate on the rest of exhaustion perks as much,
THEY ALL EXTEND CHASE TIME. Its a matter of when, and i think dead hard being in your face, often making whiffs then it just feels worse.
You can see someone use lithe or sprint burst (unless it's 99'd) and decide to leave chase extremely early instead of spending 25 seconds chasing someone to get a hit, spend 10-20 more seconds to get within hit distance then getting E'd for distance. So you basically spent 45 seconds to get rid of 2/3 health states (this example is just of an average survivor that knew how to use dh for distance but isn't all that good at looping).
Overall bigger loss in time than chasing someone when they use sb/lithe at the start of a chase.
-
Well yeah survivors are the money makers. Hence why we get like 3 survivor skins for every 1 killer skin. Unless its something like the CryptTV collab.

Here comes the buzzkill
The real buzzkill is when a new license brings people in just to realize how the games in a horrible state.

Man are people learning the houses now... if so gg's to me playing non-antiloop killers.

PSA: when you nerf something, it's because you want to bring that specific thing to level of others. In the case of DH, it's because survivors with DH have way too much of an advantage to killers in chase. Nerfing a ton of killers just because of a DH nerf would make no sense as you'd just give survivors way too much of an advantage in chase again.
Also can we stop with the Sprint Burst thing? It's obvious that you guys who say "b-b-but Sprint Burst is better and you guys will complain about it!!!!" are just salty DH users sad that your perk is getting nerfed, you're not fooling anyone.
Yeah cause at least with sprint burst there's some setup to use it mid chase which if you really wanted to use it mid chase you would have to go to the killer to force chase with you. Thats the risk factor, if the killer doesnt chase you, you effectively wasted some time trying to force chase from the killer. And I find that fine unlike "press e for distance and I-frames on command while injured".

It's not even overpowered people just suck and can't accept it
Here this video explains exactly how it's op https://youtu.be/LNNtGyvAi_U. Or I guess I just "bait out the E key for distance".
-
Ive seen plenty of good survivors run good blights and nurses. The reason dh needs to be nerfed is because it's literally uncounterable when used for distance which is worse design than what killers are currently like.
-
I hate when the sound of survivors running doesnt play behind a paper thin wall but plays when they're 40 feet away.

Yea you have a point but i think atleast t3 needs to be gone. that is literally no matter how good you are he is gonna catch you so i don't think that should be in the game
I mean... you're supposed to eventually lose the chase as survivor if the killer commits. If you were able to win chases constantly in the games current condition even more people would leave.
-
If it took a killer took 45 seconds tto get to bl t3 that's good for your team? which thats the aim of survivor? You bought 45 seconds of time on a SINGLE pallet for your teammates to do gens so no I don't think it should be removed.
-
Noed doesn't need a nerf. WIth how the meta currently is there's more than enough time to cleanse 5 totems.
-
@Laurie268 said:
You can always run Blood echo which works really good against DH instead of creating daily complaint posts because you don’t want to sacrifice 1 slowdown perk for it.
Except that... by the time you even get to use it 2 gens would be left? That perk is only good on a few killers and they can still just negate it on one of them.
-
@ColonGlock said:
If you expect every survivor to have it then you take away the surprise factor that makes it strongest on first use. Move your mouse up and down when you get close to bait it out and use perks and add ons that affect exhaustion. It is strong but can be countered.
Except... the counters for it are extremely worthless since you need to injure them first then hook them and mind breaker does absolutely nothing. Also I'm pretty sure they're talking about dh for distance which has no counterplay.

Not with that much Slowdown-Perks in the game.
If you can remove 32 seconds of Progress with a single Hook (Pain Resonance + PGTW), you can afford way longer chases. I am using Slowdown-Perks since a few days (did not run them for years), and the game feels so easy now, it is insane.
@Topic:
Oh, cool, a Dead Hard-Thread! Finally someone opens it.
But I hope that Killers realize that if DH gets nerfed and if it is really true that Survivors only survive that long because of DH, that other things on the Killers Side basically have to be nuked if that is really the case. Like Bloodlust and Slowdown-Perks. Because if the Chasetime really is reduced that much due to DH (I doubt it), other things need to be rebalanced. But if this is the case, I already know that the "The Devs only cater to Survivors"-people will come out.
And I really hope that nobody complains about Sprint Burst once DH is nerfed and the good Survivors (who are the only ones where DH is really problematic, bad Survivors with DH are no problem) switched to Sprint Burst and showing the Killers that it is actually even stronger than DH and even more unfun to go against.
True but that still has counterplay. If you know the killer has both those perks you can just leave the gen to regress normally (which is nothing) by letting go early and having someone else come finish the gen if you manage to pull the killer away. And if the killer decides to stay near the gen go work on others since they're just letting you get free progress.
-
I mean since there is a soft cap and you 3-4k every match you'll basically always be playing at the soft cap as it uses that to matchmake instead of the mmr rating you have lets say 4k when the soft cap is 1.5k (I dont know what they actually lowered the soft cap to) means you would have to get SEVERAL 0k's in a row to start being paired against players of lower mmr.
