  • WAS in a good spot. Didn't really need the blade count nerf with the 50% nerf to his addons that increase knife count.

  • Just... git gud. Seen plenty of good nurses get ran for long enough for 1-2 gens to get completed even on gideons.

Not as simple as "do this" if it was really like that then nurse would be horrible. You gotta know WHEN to double back or keep holding W. Unlike all the other killers you gotta learn how the nurse plays to play accordingly.

  • Can be good but suffers like every other antiloop killer. Holding w just completely counters him and if you teleport to a locker in front of them survivors can just run back to the loop and w past it.

  • Its not hitboxes. Its bhvrs dollar store servers having a noticeable de-sync even with the best internet known to man.

  • Well I was always able to run non-meta perks as survivor but for killer that's a whole different story unless I was nurse or blight. So I guess stbfl, forced penance, shadowborn.

  • Depending on how the perk reworks go then we can consider changing nurses range addons.

Um... Blood points? Never give up, trust your instincts?

Is the bp worth the 2 minute slug at least though?

  • I still got a question... why would you want to unhook and extend the game even further.

I have no problem removing brand new parts, if we remove irisdent addons from killers.

So.. you want ALL iri addon for killers to be removed for a single addon for a toolbox that took away 20 seconds from a gen... yeah no.

I see a lot of people using it in open spaces. Most of the people I go against don't really use it at a good time anyways. XD But if you hate windows/pallets, just have a perk that helps fights against it, like Bamboozle and it won't be so bad.

Bamboozle does nothing. Once they realize you're gonna bot vault block the window they'll just hold W and even with cruel limits is when a gen is completed within a certain radius of that gen. No windows or pallets can be near that gen.

Either way if I did do what you said... just would work cause gens would still fly too fast by the time I downed them.

  • @Lekitzul said:

Honestly, I don't find Dead Hard that bad, usually if you know they have it, just keep chasing them, they'll splurge it, chase em for a second longer and knock em down. They already have to be hurt to use it anyways, so it's dicey. The only time I see it useful is running to the gate, you barely make it and use it to escape.

"Chase them for a second longer" I assume you don't go against many survivors that use it for distance to a window or pallet huh...

  • @MrMori said:

Because it has boosted them into a skill bracket they don't belong in, so they feel reliant on it.

It's similar to stacking four slowdown perks and then still losing, chances are you didn't do very well in chase, aka you're not skilled enough to catch your opponents in time. Dead Hard is stronger than any single regression perk though.

Except with 4 slowdowns on someone like clown or trapper is STILL not enough to beat a good 4man.

Idk how you guys can tell the difference, it does nothing for you

and just a genuine question, not trying to come of rude, but how does (12)? Degrees FOV make the difference between motion sickness and no motion sickness?

It depends on peoples motion sickness. People got motion sick simply from playing short blight and I always feel like im playing through a 1.5x scope when I'm playing killer.

  • Doesnt matter cause by then you'd buy enough time for 3 gens to pop with 2 left and unhooked which resets exhaustion.

  • @OogieBoogie said:

    -no sprint bursting off gens

-no dead hard when chased off a gen unless you manage to stop moving for 5 seconds mid-chase

-exhaustion cooldowns don't recover while doing gens

-all aura reading perks (Bond, Empathy, Kindred) useless while working on gens (mainly effects solos)

-can't see where other survivors go down (and by extension where the killer is) and you can't tell when they are picked up

    It's a very solid perk.

I mean mind breaker is legit just a straight buff to sprint burst as its a free 99.

Being AFK is a reportable offense and doing it too often might result in a Ban. Chest-Defender Bubba is nothing else than being AFK.

Dont really know what the Victor-Stuff is.

Setting victor up with the iri addon that exposes survivors after kicking him then coming out of insidious for the insta down.

  • I'd still like to know how back bumping is still a thing when his look at vector got put in front of his face instead of being in his face.

  • @dspaceman20 said:

I would probably be ok with the hug tech if it had a counter.

I'm not sure if it does so the question is does it and what is it?

Most blights will be looking down the entire time to keep sliding then flick. literally the same counterplay to j flicks which so many people called "uncounterable" despite the camera being locked after the flick unless you could go up to like 80k dpi.

  • Shouldnt be that hard to count from 0 to 2.5 after you press sprint.

  • Basically the distance of running for 2.5 seconds.

Considering 4 survivors run DH, and DH is by far the more difficult one to counter, yeah. Use perks to counter it. Every other perk has a vanilla counter:

DS? Dont tunnel off hook. As long as you do not waste time to chase that survivor, you wont really lose time through DS.

BT? Count to 12, not that hard.

    UB? Pick up the survivor.

Self-Care or CoH? Often not really used correctly, but if it does annoy you, Sloppy Butcher!

That still leaves 1 perk free for gen regression. Leaving your whole "gens pop too fast" argument null and void.

Because here's another thing, I didnt even include perks like Ruin, Pop or Pain Resonance in the mix. Ruin and Pop alone can massively increase the amount of time survivors spend on generators to the point that DH doesnt even buy time.

As for genspeed being nerfed. No. Never gonna happen. It was already nerfed from 70 seconds to 80 seconds. If you want to slow down genspeed any more, the effects of the following perks need to be completely removed or gutted to the point of uselessness:

Ruin, Pop, Thanatophobia, Dying Light, Pain Resonance, Call of Brine, DMS, Dead Lock, Eruption, Jolt, Tinkerer, Grim Embrace, Corrupt Intervention.

Perks that basically already do what you want in a game.

As for secondary objecive: Already there. Totems, hexes, boons.

As for too OP? SB is more powerful. The only reason you do not see SB a lot is because of Nurse and Blight. Once Nurse and Blight are rebalanced a bit, and DH nerfed, I 100% foresee SB replacing DH as an exhaustion perk, and that is the day when survivors will relearn how to 99 SB, which is gonna make you wish DH was reverted.

I disagree with SB being more powerful. You can leave chase so early when someone uses sprint burst and if they wanna use it mid chase then good on them for leaving their objective to 99 a sprint burst. DH is more powerful because its on demand while injured. Sure someone might be an insta down killer like billy or bubba but.. you just dont heal then you still get 2 health states vs an insta down.

  • Its kind of a guilty pleasure to keep hitting a person on hook with 8 stacks of stbfl as demo or clown to hear the scream/laugh.

  • @GannTM said:

It’s very fair against Nurse. It’s almost required against her otherwise you just die instantly without much counterplay. I’m down for a Dead Hard nerf because it needs it but it absolutely shouldn’t be nerfed without Nurse seeing something.

You can still buy time against a good nurse without dh... it was never a requirement.

  • @Deathstroke said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2974188#Comment_2974188

Other exhaustion perks also add time to chase so should all exhaustion perk just be removed then.

In its current state other than head on, yes. Exhaustion in its current state is horribly balance with 2 mediorcre counters to it at best.

Actually scratch that.. you can decide to leave chase early against lithe and sprint burst. Dead hard is just available whenever injured. So you could already commit 20 second to chasing someone for them to use their third health state. Then you can't really keep switching targets when people are constantly gonna do that.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

I doubt that DH is the reason you are doing poorly.

I mean when dh for distance is in almost every chase causing at least 2 minutes to be added, to the games total time... nothing you can really do to play better as its literally enough time for the 3 other survivors to do a gen.

  • For wacky fun like having someones feet to be sticking out of a locker yes. Actually trying to play..... never. I still remember when I think it was shroud who uninstalled live on stream.

So, how do you propose to enable stealth, if there are no dark corners to hide, and the fov is wide enough so noone goes unnoticed? Stealth is a factor and should be, so how would you make it still viable? Turning the survivor invisible?

I know a lot of players dont like the stealth-aspect of the games, but for others its the reason to play, and you cant just ignore them because their playstyle doesnt suit yours.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2972160#Comment_2972160

But in CoD, all players can use that option, and all players get the same advantage out of it. That is not true for DBD, where one side gets an advantage and another does not.

So if killers get a fov-slider, survivors get a distance slider so they can look over obstacles like stretched res?

If you ask for a real ingame advantage, you should offer something to balance it. At least thats my opinion.

Survivor is literally in third person which is an advantage of its own? Given that the average humans fov is 120 degrees I think that should be the max it should go for killer.

  • Idk isnt camping and tunneling a dumb complaint too?

How can you not find being able to use graphics filters to drastically increase the scratch mark and red glow visibility a clear advantage?

Of course better hardware provides an advantage that is acceptable, but people modify options that are not naturally made available in the game. The same as FoV, increasing FPS and removing anti aliasing both do provide a clear advantage that cannot be got in the game options, but should be available in the game options.

I think it’s just as silly to argue those things shouldn’t be normal options that are available in game, as it is to say that FoV shouldn’t be in the game options.

The difference is that people circumvent the lack of options and it is acceptable to gain advantage that way, yet FoV should be tied to a perk to maintain some sort of competitive integrity? It’s silly, it should all be a basic option and I’m pointing out how the argument to keep FoV a perk for that reason is ridiculous.

I agree with your suggestions about scratch mark brightness options etc, and have asked for as much being colourblind myself and struggling. The options we did get after years of being ignored did not make the problem any better for a lot of people.

It’s also silly for people to say brightness options shouldn’t be in game because it provides an advantage; like people can’t just turn their monitor or TV settings up anyway. Point is it’s stupid to have to do that for this one specific game when every other game just lets you do it in the options menu.

The ‘provides and advantage’ argument just doesn’t work when talking about basic things that most games have while still keeping things fair and competitive, even more so when everybody has access to them and not just a few.

Edit just to add that when I talk about modifying ini files to increase FPS I mean removing the cap placed on it by the devs. With the cap how they have set it, better hardware would provide less of an advantage. The option should be in game and the only reason not to would be the competitive argument which is silly when it’s accepted to modify the files to remove it anyway; just add it as a basic feature, I’m sure everyone would be happier.

Yeah I find the whole "well this provides an advantage" to be extremely stupid when every other modern game has said options and people will adjust them to how they want to play. I never really heard people complaining about FOV in a game like CoD since if they really wanted that they could just turn it up themselves.

  • Not really unless you're clown and plant a slowdown bottle in advance beyond the loop. The whole formula for chases is just... not all there. You cant have less resources or anti loop killers become too powerful or you have to make them feel horrible to play and you cant keep them cause people will just shift W.

This is where I think blight comes in at somewhere good in the middle. You can hold W against him to 1-2 other tiles if you successfully dodge his power depending on the amount of rushes you count which is easy.

  • If a killer gets 2 kills by face camping the first hook means your team was not that great. Once you realize the killer is face camping with no intention to leave just work on gens and leave.

  • @jakubr21 said:

He should stay 115%, since his hug bug is getting removed, he won’t be able to get easy hits with his power anymore. So on some loops he will become m1 killer.

Without the sliding he won’t be S tier killer and don’t start with argument that good blights only use bump logic, you are lying to yourself.

He still has sliding just not able to rush while against an object.

  • They're playing to kill survivors nothing more nothing less.

  • It can work in certain aspects of the game. Perks can definitely balanced from top down but not killers (all though most killer perks dont really need to be touched as they have an earning requirement).

  • Because not every tile is a tile you can use bump logic at unless you have double speed....

I seriously doubt the only way to reduce motion sickness is giving you more fov ...

I'm all for buffing the perk to make it more worth the slot. Hell i dont even mind if they include a slider in the base kit for killers except calling it a QoL would be extremely disingenious, it would be a straight up buff.

And adding it to survivors would 100% re-enable seeing over loops bs so something like this should only realistically be added to killers just so we are clear.

It could be done when they buff survivors to compensate killers. But it would obviously be a straight up buff, not a qol.

100% should only be added to killers as third person being able to increase the fov just allows you to be even more safe in chase. Other than that there's not really other options to reduce motion sickness other than fov as playing killer feels like im constantly looking through a magnifying glass 24/7.

  • @Zexbunny said:

FOV is a perk because FOV can provide an advantage in this game. Everybody would just max their FOV and therefore would be useless except maybe the two ppl who'd use it as a challenge

Other than 2 fatigues in the game and maybe curve billy how much would increased fov give such an advantage in chase that its impactful.

  • You see if they add secondary affects there's most likely gonna be situations like boil over where its so obnoxious to play against its just not worth playing.

Also about dead hard... assuming you really are a veteran and NEVER used the perk for its stronger part of it which is for distance which is literally uncounterable and forces the chase to extend at least 20 seconds with a decent survivor concerns me. And if you down a survivor because they used dead hard horribly doesnt make it not busted as a perk.

  • Shouldn't be balanced around kill rate at all. Cause perks arent the reason swfs do well. Its because they're actually coordinated and perks make it stronger but arent the key reason they can consistently 3-4 out.

  • @ukenicky said:

Can't tell if you're joking or not but I certainly hope you aren't promoting killers play poorly.

Nothing poorly about it. The killers objective is to kill as they seem fit. Nothing saying they have to go kill some other survivor and leave one to hang on a hook.

  • I mean league still exists. There's your reason.

  • @Deathstroke said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2968928#Comment_2968928

I don't see it used much anymore and in my sfw we never use it either. You have to waste time looking for totem so the faster healing is not worth it better just run self-care or medkit. Baiting works lot of time agains't dh they have to use it perfectly if it does not work. So yeah then could say dh needs skill.

Its not even using dh perfectly. Anyone can use it for distance and thats the part thats literally you cant do anything about it unless you're huntress, slinger, or trickster on a straight away.

  • @Deathstroke said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2968776#Comment_2968776

Coh is trash now so it's not reason you lost. Try to bait the dead hard and hit them after they used it. If you play blight it should not be even problem thought.

Bait out the dh for distance... good one. Also literally a match I watched earlier was literally won because of CoH lol. 10.6 second heals is still no joke when the boon totem is placed in some obscure spot.

The perk is still incredibly busted but now because people have to spend oh no THREE more seconds self caring its suddenly trash on a role where time is your best friend.

  • Because people don't care about the event? They're playing how they want to play and which is to win. Nothing sad or scummy about the person as it's an in game strat.

  • Should have just outplayed the E key for distance or the CoH in the 2nd floor of a building I guess.

I had no idea his lunge was faster with the add-ons. Do you know if the extra lunge speed lets him flick further?

    @Steel_Eyed said:

First of all, Blight has a great basekit mixed with likely the best set of addons in the game. Seriously everything from yellow to iridescent is high end.

My issue with the Blighted Rat and Blighted Crow addons is [I believe] they not only massively increase movement speed, but his lunge attack coming out of the rush, too. The faster ‘rush’ lunge is what makes these addons so difficult to play around.

Without these, his rush lunge feels considerably slower and in a way feels like it could be juked.

So my suggestion is for BHVR to review his lunge coding.

The speed addons dont affect the lunge, or at least shouldn't unless they bugged them. Cause I remember playing double speed 1.0 blight (short blight with the basic collision detection) and remember my lunge being super slow when lunging out of rush.

  • If the killer knows you have it and is afraid to snowball when given a golden opportunity too then yes you got value out of it. Cause its either A, they go for the snowball and lose the down or B, the killer spends time finding the boon to stomp it giving the 2nd person to get distance making the killer waste even more time to catch up.

  • When people called coh "useless" because it got nerfed to 75% heal speed then 50% and said the same thing.

  • @legacycolt said:

Err, we been knew, dead hard is a popular and certainly necessary perk with the current state of the game.
