"The answer is simple, Dead Hard may get you an escape, but it was not you, it was Dead Hard. You did not actually outplay the killer you pressed E for distance that the killer could do nothing about."
Fixed it.
-
I mean yeah from how easy it is to remember tile layouts people that complain about nightfall being too dark are just lazy in my book.
-
So all this time they are an actual player.... not an NPC got it.
-
Funny cause they said they wanted to shy away from exclusive cosmetics/content which is why we got dwight crow as a code redeemable by everyone when the previous year you had to work for it and be faster than other people in streams. But I guess that amazon prime deal looked tasty to the higher ups.
-
De-activate after touching a gate would be nice as it's literally part of them doing their objective.
-
If you could reliably 3v1 then this game would be in an even worse state than it already is.
-
They usually give hints to the next killer after the mid chapter

Wraith can move pretty fast and no it does not make sense to tunnel and facecamp every match and at that point it just better play some other game. Ofcourse if he enjoys it that is different thing but I don't know who really enjoys tunneling. If the tunneled one is good looper it's just miserable experience all gens getting done. Well with noed it's possible snowball at the end. If survivors save without bt and no ds then tunneling only works.
I mean if he enjoys winning there is no reason to play another game. Also if the wraith tunnels a good looper then there was most likely time to get all 5 totems done. Solo Q issue not noed issue.
-
The antiloop is only good if the survivor allows the dredge to zone them. Other than that you can just W to other loops as he does his antiloop.
-
Well given that wraith is still a b tier killer at minimum with minimal map pressure.... makes sense why they would tunnel.
-
Not even mmr decay would fix it that much considering they lowered the soft cap for mmr (idk why there's even a soft cap to begin with but bhvr things).
-
I mean... I'm not exactly against that. DH for its original intended use was a gimmick. Gimmicks aren't supposed to be good.
-
Yeah no I don't find it interactive when there's a situation that I can do nothing about which I should be able to do something about without perks since its a 1v4.

I'm not talking about Clown or Sadako though, I'm talking about the killer that can teleport around the map at will 3 times every 12 seconds (or 4 seconds with Nightfall), oftentimes directly next to gens with approach angles that are mostly under your control. Especially with buffed hemorrhage (aka heal regression) and a slowdown perk or two of your choice...
I have no idea why everyone is so obsessed with the remnant teleport. That is just not the main strength of Dredge's power. It is merely an aspect of it.
Eh idk how powerful he will be after the perk rework. Cause after they nerf dh sprint burst is gonna be used a lot more so your teleport to locker ability is just useless because running faster than the killer is funny.

See, this is what I'm talking about. People keep looking at this killer like it's a killer with a high mechanical skill cap or brainless anti-loop power that's meant to immediately win every chase instead of the juggling hit and run, mostly M1 (but situationally anti-loop/zoning mindgame) killer it is.
Like I get that Dredge might not be the strongest killer even when played to its fullest potential but I've seen so many people try to play it like any other killer, chase someone for 3 gens, and then brush it off as a bad killer. Like this killer isn't Sadako...you can actually get stuff done by abandoning chases at the right time and spreading pressure (especially with buffed sloppy butcher).
Except most killers are bad because perks just completely outclass them. Even if you try to split pressure as clown or sadako E key for distance can still ######### both of them over and clown by far has the strongest slowdown antiloop.

Remove NOED first. See? I can have controversial opinions too.
Noeds power comes nowhere near the power of dead hard when used correctly.
-
I mean hes interesting in concept but still suffers like most other antiloop killers..... W.

But now it needs a buff it's garbage.
It is far from garbage. Running faster than a killer is incredibly op.
-
Worst its been for a while. The absolute worst for dbd was when it first released because nurse wasnt out and there was infinites and a killer being 50% slower while vaulting. Even if you played trapper to cancel the infinites.... double pallet and window jungle gyms, regular double pallet tiles, and your traps could get broken for the rest of the game.
Also not to mention the absolute cult of a community that would burn you at the stake for daring to camp or tunnel as killer.
-
Even with half the resources and reduced map sizes... if every one runs dh its still a third health state. Sure you'll pressure more survivors at once but its a constant cat and mouse game where the gens will still eventually get completed.

I mean im sick and tired of this exploiters, not only blights but nemesis using the linger of the tentacle, pigs dashing in vertical loops, even billys abusing the initial high sensibility of the chainsaw to curve, and dont get me started on ph flicks and onis flicking too.
These killers should have this fixed and be as simple as they can so that looping them is easier and they are more one dimensional so its more fun for killer players too.
WHAT LOL NO WAY YOU CALL CURVE BILLY AN EXPLOIT. Even the nemesis tentacle.... why would there be a lingering hitbox, that doesn't code itself in.

You have a point but that comes to my question, whats the point of reporting someone for exploiting bugs when it does nothing? Yes people were banned at that time for 2 mend addons(there was no killswitch at that time) but also survivors were getting banned for holding killer hostage, when they were below a " hole " and he jumped on them you could stuck the killer for the rest of the match. But if you think about it, with both of these bugs both sides could not play the game.
Idk thats a thing you'd have to ask the devs. I think they realized that whenever bug they introduce is gonna be abused the hell out of cough cough wake up bug or even clipping inside a hooked person for tapping the unhook option. Obviously they cant always keep a bugless patch but to have something random like wakeup affect all actions or breakdown somehow lose its timer..... thats spaghetti code for you. Like bugs in other games I've played seems more like oversights/unintentional things.
-
@jakubr21 said:
I agree with killswitch this bug is used for advantage, basically exploiting and people are getting away with it, then I wonder why does the report category “ exploiting “exists.
Funny part about that... the number of surivvors that would have been banned for abusing exploits over the years would drop the player base by prob half which is why they don't do anything about it anymore. Survivors abusing breakdown bug? Nah no ban for the reason of "there are other way of ending the game", survivors abusing invincibility by hiding inside a hooked survivor? no ban, a legion equips 2 mend addons? banned.

Numerous meta survivor perks have been nerfed or altered in an unfavorable way. Survivors' strength has only slightly decreased. Killers are just being buffed into godhood over the years.
Almost like..... survivors were in god hood on release and killers are FINALLY catching up. Like you can't tell me OG sprint burst on a 20 second cooldown into balanced landing AND no entity block with guaranteed fast vaults was fair. Or better yet mettle of man on release where it was just take 3 hits. Then you get the boil over monstrosity that should have never happened. For how strong survivor STILL is in a 4v1.... makes me question bhvrs priorities.
Even then exhaustion is way overtuned for todays standards.

I hate playing vs hillbilly I find him super boring and one directional. People will still play blight, unless removing hug tech completely ######### up his all collision so players would have to re learn it again for all maps and objects. If thats the case then I agree many will drop him cause they wont be bothered doing it all over again
This. Played through all his collision reworks except for his ptb collision which is basically his midget collision but more lenient. And can confirm it does get annoying especially after the RE chapter release that was by far his best collision but then they go and make him wider in the pinhead chapter basically removing one of his intentional features, scoot surf.
-
His antiloop is good if the survivors allow it to be. Once someone sees you place the remnant down they can EASILY w to another loop as you slowdown when holding the teleport.
-
Sadako OP I guess. I also love the statement of the game "catering to bad killers" when the survivor meta hasnt been touched and allowed to stay that strong for YEARS.
Also despite popular belief.... dredge isnt that strong when hes still a hold W to win killer. Doesn't matter that he has antiloop and map mobility when whenever he does his anitloop you can just easily leave the loop.
-
Honestly would put it past me to think bhvr would somehow buff dh. Jokes aside eruption deserves some love.

Dead hard can be countered. This Is not a mechanic. You can call It whatever you want . I'm not taking a geometry diploma to explain you that Hug Tech Is A B-U-G.
Oh great wise one... how does one counter a dh for distance. Dont say "mind breaker" or "blood echo" cause those arent reliable. Every exhaustion addon can just be walked off unless its pigs traps.
Also I never once said that it wasn't a bug.

If Blight Is supposed to bounce if you touch a Wall, you can't slide on It. Yeah it's game breaking Brother. Maybe you are main Blight and that's why you talk like this. In fact you still Blame dead hard in 2022.
? Dead hard is legit the best perk in the game. That perk alone makes playing killer a nightmare if you aren't blight or nurse. Also back to sliding... they literally built a mechanic (scoot surf) that helps you slide which is his secondary collision being tied to his camera and an M1 collision detector. If you look down while rushing perpendicular to a wall then turn you are able to get close to a 45-60 degree pre turn before you bump.

Doesn't he? Nobody's gonna be in uproar if blight gets killswitched lol, it's not like he's a very beloved killer to vs
By the people thaty play him yes. Its not a game breaking bug like CoH crashing people or nurse getting stuck after going for a grab. If that was the case then dh would need to be killswitched because you can dh through a killer in pickup animation so if they body block your side of the pallet you can say no.
-
I mean go for it if you want even more boring blight matches by them getting more secure hits from bump logic.
Also nurse was disabled because they literally didn't know how to fix the grab bug that caused her to get stuck until the end of the trial.

It's not the comment, it's the context of you ignoring my point of why I even wrote that specific scenario.
What point? of complaining about fun in a PLAYER VERSE PLAYER game that's 4v1 like seriously... You're already playing the boring role of just mindlessly drop pallets vs most of the killer roster and hold m1 on gens.

That's pretty cringe you know, pretty cringe.
There's a reason why I'm not buying Oni or not playing Nurse with range addons...
So.... telling someone to play how they want is cringe.... only past 2020 do you get stuff like this.

I see, than I'll also play my only P3 killer Nurse with range addons and mock survivors in post game chat.
I mean play how you want. Nobody's stopping you from doing so.
-
I mean... the killer isnt responsible for making the game fun for you. The roles called killer not babysitter.
-
"nemesis should be nerfed"
Reason: Play against him as survivor on pc

Wouldn’t you you need ds since a killer will just tunnel you out quit? Both sides need meta to combat going against the meta for the opposing side
You see the plot hole in that argument right... If the killer decides to really leave chase to come back to hook from across the map the killer is just wasting more time. And if they're camping first hook that should be an easy 2 out at least.
-
Funny cause the devs seem to balance more around soloq or at least they used to. Now it just feels like whatever is remotely complained about gets nerfed.
-
Not really complaining because on tiles like cow tree that little wall next to the pallet has inconsistent collision so its nice to basically get a guaranteed bounce as blight on 3/4 sides.

Then we're not talking about those matches are we?
I'm talking about a killer running a FULL meta build at high mmr. Try going against a blight with full meta with Pebble, spine chill, dark sense, and kinship lol.
Can work because survivors that are actually good can play around a good blight. I think you underestimate the skill ceiling of survivor because so many people are bad and have perks carry them.
-
@Deathstroke said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2987708#Comment_2987708
Tunneling is not the only way to win if you are good at chases and know how to apply pressure. But taking weakest survivor out is usually easy option. When I tunnel survivor it's usually the best looper and that's usually not good idea if you want to win. But they sometimes manage to annoy me enough. For win I think most effient way is going for chases and camp a bit at least for me.
In games where dh is almost always prevelant... even taking out the weak link first can take enough time for there to be 1 gen left if the survivor has 2 braincells that know how to use it.
-
@RisingTron said:

You literally do.
Idk the matches that i see of a not even communicating 4 man with non-meta perks beating an oni with 2 slowdown would like to differ.
-
Well people want to win so nothing will change even with a new killer.
-
If he teleports into a locker a survivor is hiding in then they instantly get grabbed.

Old Hillbilly was indeed too strong. However it wasn't his base kit that was concerning but mostly his addons. The old insta saw was unfair and it's good that they removed it. The reason Billy is not as strong anymore is partly because as you stated his addons are pretty bad if it isn't for the few actually good addons he has, the overheat mechanic which is more annyoing than really a nerf in most instances and the maps and tiles we have now. There are so many ways in which they could give him some QOL changes without him becoming overpowered again, like maybe make the Death Engraving base kit so you aren't as dependent on addons anymore or look into his hitboxes on objects around him a bit. Just some little things really.
I said it before and I stand by it. Hillbilly is pretty much the abandoned child of DBD by now.
I think its more of random stuff making certain tiles uncurvable. Take the red forest long wall as an example. You have to go even more out to dodge past it and by the time you curve past that the person had time to vault back or get to the other side.
-
I mean even without perks the main buildign is abuseable with a guaranteed god window spawn.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
How do people think Billy will perform on the new map?
Horrible mostly cause busted main building with god windows and weird short jungly gym tiles you can clearly see over.
-
They probably count patch space billy again so they just neutered his air speed.

You can check a whole map and item placement before a nightfall? Got to love those AFK's right!?
And it don't matter how much i know a map... it's very simple (as i have previously stated)... "i am not playing a game blind"... no mechanic, law or policy is ever going to change that.
Well you technically arent playing the game blind if you have a map layout in your head and know where you currently are. Also you dont have to run to every corner of the map to know what it looks like... You can see literally the entirety of the map from shack on gas heaven. It doesnt need to be nerfed especially not in the games state right now.
