How is that an exploit? They still have someone incapacitated, (so 3/4 progress) if they down the survivor "exploiting things" that's two survivors incapacitated (1/2 progress) and when they leave to catch the other two, the timers resume normal speed.
You don't get my hypothetical situation. People trying to bait the killer away don't get within swinging distance of a killer. And by it being an exploit, if one of those were to be a real thing added. I'm pretty sure the dev's wouldn't intend you being able to force a killer to camp to get a benefit by making the person on hook die slower.
Going for a greedy unhook should result to someone at least down or dying on hook. Sure 1 person might die but the time bought would be so tremendous that the good play the killer would have had just turned bad because one survivor was messing with how the mechanics work.

Why is there no way to fix it? There are plenty of ways to fix it. But it's not a priority for DEVs, since it was declared a feature, not a "bug".
One of the root causes for tunneling and camping is the 2-stage hook system. After hooking a survivor you have to hook him the second time to get him out of the game, so you chase him again. Less survivors=less gen repairers and healers.
Because mostly every community made suggestion could easily be exploited by the survivors. I've seen people suggest slower sacrifice rate if the killer is camping, simply works like pyramid heads cages, can't use power, etc. All of them except can't use their power can just be exploited by survivors to force a killer to camp to just make that feature entirely in their control.
-
Honestly it's not worth the hex slot if its just gonna deactivate after a kill. Base regression is already so slow and with ruin you dont get the flat 2.5% since you don't technically kick the gen.
-
This isn't a buff.. literally the whole "dh for distance" thing isn't gonna be a thing anymore as you DH its gonna be an animation that you wont be able to fast vault from.
-
Yeah I don't like calling things useless ever but making the regression base regression and going away after a survivor is sacrificed... Like the sacrifice part would be fine if they just kept it at like 150% for t3.

It's like what Satelit said, all you have to do is put on headphones and 75% reduction is worthless. Just equip No Mither and see how easily killers still find you, 75% is nothing. Survivors like Ash, Jeff, Jane still yelling at max volume without 100% reduction.
Exhaustion deactivating perk is just cherry on top.
Idk about you but even without iron will sounds barely work and when they do someone thats injured 10 meters away from me make such a miniscule amount of noise. Iron will will definitely help in that aspect by making the grunts of pain from that far away nearly silent. Unless you want audio to actually work and know where you are simply by footsteps or slow vault sounds.
-
I dont see why the new iron will is so bad. Its like complaining that you can't kick a gen with pop when ruin is already regressing it. You're using 2 strong perks and can only use 1 at a time, seems healthy to me.
-
I've unironically saw someone say they were tbagging at gate for a "gg".
-
Wraith syndrome of "the killer is more common now that I find it boring". Like any wraith player before wouldn't dare play him without at least 1 windstorm. But not that he effectively got purple windstorm base kit making him able to run other addons... yeah he became much more popular.

you wont get looped for 2 minutes on millian unless you are really bad at killer because of something called MINDGAMES. you literally cant do those on gideon.
On MacMillian, you MIGHT get looped for 2 minutes if all your mindgames fail.
On Gideon, you WILL get looped for 2 minutes with no chance of making it shorter because of the 30 god pallets.
You do realize every macmillan map has either A, an overpowered main or B, loops that just chain into each other. Even peoples precious coal tower which is claimed to be the most "balanced" map can and will spawn with ridiculous setups.
-
You'll prob just get an exclusive code or just since your account also has dbd it will just automatically give it to your account.
-
As long as map sizes and gen spread are ridiculous, pallets will never be a precious resource.
-
Idk they can't do the simple counterplay of staying in groups of 2 to force the twins player to go to them.
-
@Zozzy said:
Can only do so much with such a simple game.
If they want better perks then they need to change the base game to be more than Shift W and Space on a pallet.
I think perk ideas were losing creativity when BHVR came up with the idea of "new content every 3 months"
-
#BanSteve- oh wait wrong movement.
-
If anything its harder to go back to controller after playing on pc for so long. Even playing DMC5 and MGR:R I still stuck with M&KB despite it feeling better on controller.
Like I don't like the whole YAW camera movement system. I'd rather have free control via dpi plus I can be faster and more accurate with it.
-
Its a huge mixture of everything. You can't really go for chases because maps are either, too large, have ridiculous tiles that chain into each other, huge gen spread or so many resources that camping and tunneling is just a better strategy. Not to mention the survivor meta full of second chances.
-
@Brokenbones said:
Notice how every gen regression perk is on there apart from 1
Call of Brine
Potential Call of Brine meta incoming?
Idk about that. Surge needs a serious buff if they aren't gonna tweak perks too much. Like 8% off of gens is nice and all... but late game it is so horrible as most people will fully heal near a gen then run as far as they can way out of the range.
-
How.... are people salty over a curving no engraving billy. Thats the easiest version of him to dodge. You basically have to be licking their back to curve someone as that.
-
@IlliterateGenocide said:
If the kill rate skyrocket after DH nerf they will probably buff survivors in general who knows.
In my opinion it's basically required against both Nurse and Twins.
If thats the case they should wait maybe a month or two for survivors that relied on dh to actually hone their looping skills and not instantly result to pre dropping.
-
Yeah well goes both way. I remember when pallet validation got first introduced... i was playing twins on hawkins and i remember me beind SUCKED BACK INTO THE PALLET just to get stunned... Also the amount of times i should have been body blocking the prompt on one side of a window or pallet just to get pushed out of the way is ridiculous.

Dredge does not need to be messed with. He is perfectly balanced
Like balanced in what scenario? Cause if he truly was he would be able to hold his own without much perk intervention. But since you can just W every time he anti loops.... yeah he's just sadako with a little more flair.

I agree it gives a bigger advantage as survivor but you cannot add accesibility options to one side and not the other as it feels kind of unfair.
You see 3rd person is already an advantage of its own. And I find it basically impossible to get motion sick for survivor pov compared to killer.
-
I don't see a problem. Escaping actually makes you earn it kind of.
-
@squbax said:

I think accesibility options should not be exclusive to any role, if its implemented it should be able to be used by both killers and survivors.
Yeah but FOV on survivor creates even more safe situations for them as they are third person vs killer first person. I have never seen people say they get motion sick on survivor where killer I've seen plenty. Even for me it feels like I'm playing through a magnifying glass.
-
Yeah no problem with dh was distance... so if they do go with your theory for a change it will just make the perk even more safe to use for distance.

Are we playing the same game?
Stealth is very much still a thing, and locating survivors is essential.
I rarely get immersed survivors and when I do they were so bad at it that shadowborn wouldn't have "given me an advantage". Either way there is really no reason to have an accessibility option as a perk. Effectively removing agency from motion sick players for being FORCED to run FOV altering perks.
-
@Seraphor said:

Because dbd relies on acute visual information like no other games.
? Not really. Maybe back when this game was a hide n seek sim but now that its literally people can be bold and still win...
-
@Seraphor said:
FOV slider would be pointless, because everyone would simply set it to max so that they have the larges FOV, maximum information.
If they did have a FOV slider, the max would be whatever they deemed to be the greatest FOV you should get without costing a perk slot. i.e. it would be the current FOV, and the slider would only allow you to reduce it.
That said, the default FOV is strangely small for killer. It should be a little wider (but not quite Shadowborn levels).
The main issue is having survivors crouched directly in front of me and them not showing up on my screen at all. As long as that was prevented, it'd be a wide enough FOV.
I don't get it.. why only dbd is it where people care about an fov slider on killer to where people would set it to max. No other games community had that problem.
-
At first glance this looks impossible but idk the average games are played in an hour so I can't make an accurate assessment. Like assuming the average game is somewhere around 8 hooks with 6-8 safe unhooks... thats still nearly 172k games to complete that challenge.

Yeah, Ive understood that. The thing im wondering is since I dont have anyone prestiged yet, but I have their perks on one character, am I losing those perks when the update comes out. I know we wont lose anything once we prestige I've understood that. But the perks I have from characters I haven't prestiged yet, will I lose those on my character? Im not prestiging him so thats not the problem. Its the fact I have 3 pages of perks from characters I haven't prestiged yet.
No. You wont lose anything, prestige 1 just unlocks all their teachables on all killers but not being prestiged doesnt mean it will take your perks away.
-
My theory as per bhvr fashion is that they didn't plan that far ahead. So they didn't make it so you can have the challenge selected even past the minimum contribution to get the reward.
-
Seems to be a bug affecting some people. I was able to unlock tricksters mask but some people I talk to haven't been able to get it.
-
Basically from p1-3 will be what tier their teachables will be on everyone. So if you have bubba P3 you get bbq T3 on every killer without having to find it in the blood web. Also yeah like above said you lose absolutely nothing when prestiging or at least thats what they said.
-
Because they use an outdated and compromised version of EAC and so far have refused to upgrade to a more up to date. EAC on its own is trash but using an outdated version where it wont get updated to patch compromises... yeah.
-
Honestly it just got powercrept by shadowstep. Why only have 4 tokens when you can lose aura inside a 24 meter radius.
-
Same as the one from last year but you don't have to play the killer/survivor for their mask.

Just came out of a game against a Pig who brought a pink mori, Jigsaw's Sketch and Video Tape addons, face camped and tunneled the 1st guy out of the game at 5gens - FUN
Makes sense cause pig is a horrible killer.

I remember this wannabe comp player earlier got mad at me for playing twins and slugging when their entire team gave me an opportunity to do so. Got the point where they were calling me and their teammates ######### and when I bring up the point of "says the dh user" they come back with... "dh is a ######### perk" despite running it. Like if its such a ######### perk then why were they running it.... hmmmm. Funny enough their teammates not running full meta did better than them in chase.
Like despite what they say I lost several games before because dh for distance is simply too powerful for more than half the killer roster.

Well it looks like I will have to grind all the other challenges first to unlock that comestic, leaving this as the very last xD
Im pretty sure you can just go around the back side to get the weapon

My dude, that's called a friendly match. XD They had one with Trickster that was impossible. You had to activate Main Event TWICE AND DOWN TWO PEOPLE. It's hard to get it to activate once in a match, and it's on a short timer, so noone may be around when it activates. I had to play several hours of friendly AND have my friend message the people in the lobby (we had to search across PS and Xbox), and hoped to get someone. Then you had to have 2-3 be decide to be friendly in order to have enough time to fill up the Main Event bar before people finished gens. It was exhausting.
I find it easy to down someone with main event. I played trickster pre knife nerf and got main event at least 4 times a trial. Me getting to use it however.... yeah 10 seconds to activate main event was bogus.

Wait, it's IN ONE GAME? Otherwise that challenge would be bit grindy but fine I quess, that happends from time to time as Dredge, but in one game? lol.
Yup the only way to reasonably get it is by terrible survivors or farming.
-
You think thats bad? talk about the dredge one where you have to hit someone within 15 seconds of exiting a locker 5 times in a single trial.
Luckily thats not gate keeping the weapon.
-
Well some people don't care about the event and want to win. Cant change that about people.
-
I can probably count on my hand the amount of times I've gone against good survivors. Literally the rest was just ego inflated survivors that have their perks buy so much time that it doesn't matter what I do, they still get 5 gens done with a 2 out.
-
Being an amazon prime skin.
-
Man you must really like dragging out the game longer than it needs to be.
-
I'm fine with it but what I'm not fine with is when someone body blocks with BT and them or their team gets mad at me for tunneling because I forced them out of the game afterward. Like isn't that what they were asking for?

The only thing that changed was hug tech. Which was essentially an exploit that allowed you to not bump onto objects you were touching and get hits you normally wouldn't be able to.
Allows you to start a rush while touching a while when normally you aren't allowed to*
Lets not make it seem like all sliding is while somewhat facing something hug tech.
