No.
There are many counters and perks that help fight against it.
-
Yup it's been happening ever since PH came out. Dwight just points the flashlight down no matter what. It sucks :(
-
I really didn't have a problem with Hillbilly other than his add ons. This base kit nerf seems unnecessary imo. I'll hold off my final thoughts until the PTB comes though.

Is downing everyone and waiting for them to bleed out count? Cause if so... I may be gulity
No it does not count. It's just a thing that is frowned upon.
-
Holding the game hostage means keeping it from ending/progressing.
Example: Trapping the last survivor in a corner and not killing them until they disconnect.
-
Take care of yourself! Sorry to see this game affected you that way.
Edit: Also please don't tell people to quit because you didn't have a good time. If you didn't like it that's fine but don't tell others to quit as well.

You can @ a moderator to delete your thread. There's no way for you to delete your own threads.

I literally only have 3 med kits and 1 flashlight on my Dwight since the start of the event. I've only leveled up Dwight this entire event why are event items so rare?!

This system has been broken for so long I basically accepted it by now. Doesn't make me any less annoyed though.
The devs are working on a new system that we should be seeing soon™.

We’ve observed a growing Community concern about matchmaking in recent months. Matchmaking wait times have exceeded our targeted limits and we’ve seen rank disparities fluctuate. In this Status Update, we will go in details on factors impacting the matchmaking, our current matchmaking system and our future solutions.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/793/ZSC8B6CPRDCP.png
Above are the three variable factors in matchmaking, with a fourth being the number of players on each role, with an ideal ratio of 4 survivors for 1 killer at all times. When dealing with matchmaking, we need to decide how much to focus on each of the factors. If we focus on one point, the other points will see some sort of impact. For example, if we focus on time, your matches will likely end up being less fair, and you might get paired with people further away. Dedicated servers have helped us ensure a stable connection, with over 90% of players being put into matches with 150 ping and under. Our goal is to get you into a match as quickly as possible with a good connection, without compromising too much on fairness.
This is a difficult task in a game like Dead by Daylight, where both sides have different objectives and cannot be directly compared to one another. We’ve attempted to address this in the past with the Emblem system, but upon further review, we’ve concluded that rank does not directly correlate to skill. While a player who plays a lot will tend to be better than someone who plays very little, there are also players who are good at the game but don’t play enough to reach the upper ranks.
To help improve with the fairness factor without sacrificing wait times or pings, we will be making two changes. The first is a new system to better reflect a player’s skill level, and the second is a change to the matchmaking system to create fairer matches.
Going forward, we will use a hidden skill rating for matchmaking purposes. Your skill rating will increase when you do well and decrease when you do poorly. To keep this as fair as possible, the system will predict the outcome of the match based on the difference in your opponent(s) rating and adjust the amount your rating changes:
- If your rating is higher than your opponent(s), your rating will increase less if you win and drop more if you lose.
- If your rating is lower than your opponent(s), your rating will increase more if you win and drop less if you lose.
This way, even if you aren’t perfectly matched with people of the exact same skill level, your rating will not change unfairly.
In the future, we would like to extend this system to support different ratings for each killer, allowing you to practice a new killer without being immediately matched against high skilled players. This may not be included in the initial launch of the feature.
Additionally, to make sure that your matches are as fair as possible, we will be switching over to “batch matchmaking”.
Currently, our matchmaking system takes the player in queue and looks for a match close to their rank. If it is unable to find an appropriate match, it will gradually expand the search range until it is able to give you a match. This can lead to both unfair matches and long queue times.
The new batch matchmaking will instead pool a larger number of players together, compare their skill levels, and then create the fairest matches possible simultaneously. With a larger pool to pick from, we hope to improve the fairness factor of matchmaking while also keeping pings and wait times low.
The release of these changes will be gradual. With the release of the mid-chapter update, we are able to start tracking skill levels. For the time being, this is only a test and is not being used for matchmaking purposes. Once we are confident that the skill rating is working as intended, we will be running tests on live servers.
When this happens, you may notice some disparity in ranks during your matches. This is to be expected as rank will no longer be used for matchmaking purposes at this time. To avoid confusion, we are considering removing ranks from the post-match scoreboard once testing is complete, as they will no longer be relevant to matchmaking. Ranks will remain visible only to you for bragging rights and a goal to work towards, but will be a reflection of your dedication to the game rather than skill for the time being.
We are confident that these changes will allow us to create fairer matches without losing sight of our goals; to get you into a match as soon as possible with a solid connection. We’ll be sure to keep you posted on our progress as we move forward.

I personally wouldn't care if I couldn't see the aura. I don't really need it when I play PH. That being said I don't really see the need for it but if people want it then I'll support it.
The only change I 100% do agree on is no moris. No hook perks, then no moris.
Edits made to make my stance clear.

It's an old thread

It's definitely getting a little annoying seeing all these threads with nothing but the same thing over and over. I understand people love Fnaf but this approach will only push people away.
-
I personally think killer isn't too bad. I think it's just matchmaking ruining everyone's enjoyment. Maybe gen times but overall I still have a lot of fun especially with PH.
-
He's alright. Nothing I'd personally click on but I've got no reason to hate on him.
-
Yeah I don't know why they thought these items have to be so rare. I've only got 3 med kits out of a pretty good amount of blood webs. I got a single flashlight from a chest as well. Didn't old events give us a ton to stock up with?
-
Mr.Puddles will never stop being funny to me. I love it!

Unfortunately the current matchmaking system has been broken for a while now. There's a new system in the works that we should be seeing soon.

I recommend your friend should practice against the killer before quiting. PH isn't super strong once you understand how to play against him. His ranged attack is easy to dodge and his trail slows him a bit and can be crouched over. Survivors didn't need a some help since they've got all they need. Loops, stealth, and items/perks.
Once you've got him figured out he isn't the un beatable killer some view him as.

Yes this has been a problem for a while now. The current matchmaking system is broken and not working as intended. There is a fix in the works that we should be seeing more info about soon™.

You can't buy licensed killers with shards, only original killers.
Licensed : Ghostface, Myers, Freddy, Pig, Leatherface, Demogorgon, and Pyramid Head
Original: Trapper, Wraith, Hillbilly, Nurse, Hag, Doctor, Huntress, Plague, Clown, Oni, Deathslinger, and Legion.
So no time limit but only certain killers can be bought with shards.
-
If Hag just stopped exsiting I'd be fine with that.

Who do you main in Overwatch?
I play mostly Ana, Ashe, Zen, and Echo.
I like to play McCree, Zen, Road Hog, Mercy, and currently trying to learn how to play Sigma, Lucio, and Orisa. :P
-
It does nothing from what I remember. It's just there. :/
-
Head On is a lot more life saving than pebble. It fits with a bunch of perks and stuns the killer for 3 seconds. I love it.
-
Thank you Fibi! I'm glad too see you're still helping the community a lot!
-
Blocked gens stop regression until they're unblocked. So if Ruin is active, that gen will not be affected until it is unblocked.
-
Ranch hands down.
-
This chapter has the better/funner perks imo. If not that then for sure Demise of the Faithful.
-
That would be pretty cool. I would love to see rainbow icons. :)

@Boosted_Dwight Where'd you get this information? Not to come off as rude but I do enjoy having some evidence behind these sort of important questions. Did the dev's ever say this in a stream or something?
No problem, I got the information from the official DbD website. However, when I went back to find the info again I realized some errors with my info so allow me to correct myself.
So most outfits will be in the store around 6 or so months after the rift ends. When I stated that charms were to be Rift exclusive that was an assumption because we don't have a charm section at the store.
During our 3rd Anniversary stream last May, we have revealed a brand-new feature coming this fall – The Archives. With a couple of weeks await from the official launch of this feature, we are happy to present it to players in this news. Here's the link to the info I'm talking about if you want to check it out yourself.

I absolutely despise these linked cosmetics. Legendary skins was one thing but ALL of them? Hard pass.
-
Yeah I've got mixed feeling on the map so far but I'll save my judgement for later.
Thank you for blessing us with this lol

He probably saved up his Bloodpoints, Daily challenges, and Archive challenges for the Chapter. Plus BHVR is gave us 50,000 bp today so that probably helped.

Gonna tag a few more people:
Oof I'm late to this. Sorry for the late reply but thanks for the tag :).
Let's see what's interesting about me...
- I joined this community and game back in 2018 when it was free on Ps plus.
- I have a twin brother
- I'm left handed
- I love animations and art. I don't draw but I have a deep appreciation for art.
- I've recently started working on losing some weight. Lost 7 pounds so far :).
- I love the colder seasons of the year
- I love playing board/Card games. I'll beat you all in Uno!
That's all I can think of. I'm a pretty simple person :P
-
I used to play nothing but Bo3 Zombies until this game so probably that. If not I would be playing a lot of Overwatch rn :).
Edit: I probably would also be playing a lot of Smash Ultimate as well. I love that series.
-
Yeah I've actually experienced this bug a few games ago. I couldn't use my flashlight, every time I used it Dwight pointed to the floor no matter what. Dwight mains got nerfed 😭.

We are a big, goofy, largely anonymous forum community united around a cartoon video game about a morbidly obese mental patient in an elephant suit who throws fart clouds at girls that dress like bunnies. Nevertheless, a healthy, functioning community is made up of individuals. The best of them have contributed many hours of their lives toward creating thoughtful discussion, helpful material, and an environment that would otherwise not be nearly as welcoming. You are constants here, and I daresay it makes this forum something of a nice online home, as it were.
This should be acknowledged, celebrated, and afforded a bit of proverbial credit in the bank, by all of us and by the eye in the sky at Behaviour (@MandyTalk @not_Queen @Peanits and all the rest). We would be worse off without community members like you guys. We trust you, and you've never let us down.
Thank you guys for the support! It means a lot! :)
(Also I know I said I wouldn't post for a bit but I didn't want to ignore this very kind thread.)

Yes there is going to be a overhaul on the game's matchmaking soon. A new system is currently in the works and we'll be seeing it in about a month or two according to their Anniversary stream.

I'm on PS4, didn't know you could submit video through there, unless you record gameplay, which I don't since I'm not a streamer. I just reported them for unsportsmanlike behavior. If I have to submit video, why do they have the option to report players if it's that useless?
I'm not so sure myself as I don't really know the in and outs of the report system however I do know in cases like this it's highly recommended to submit a ticket with video evidence. So in situations like this you should send an in game and submit a ticket to DbD Support if you want something to happen.
You can clip your games on Ps4 by clicking on the share button and saving your clip. Then go to your Capture Gallery, trim the clip to your desired length, and upload it to YouTube. From there go to support and create a ticket. Share the information necessary and share your video.
-
I am currently going through a burnout / I'm waiting for better matchmaking phase. I'm even going through a forums burn out rn. I'm really waiting for something new honestly. :/
-
I'd wait until that new matchmaking system is out. Current one is too much of a pain to deal with imo. But if you don't mind that I personally think DbD is in a way better spot than it was a while ago.
-
I would love to see a young Ash from the previous Evil Dead movies come as a legendary skin. Maybe he can come with new voice lines to annoy people with! :D
-
Wraith is often considered one of the mid/weaker killers in the game. I suggest learning how to counter him first before wanting to nerf him.
-
I hope you also sent a ticket with video evidence to DbD support as well or else that report might just go in vain.
It really sucks to go against players like that. I had some Claudette and Leatherface do the same a while back, so obnoxious.
-
My first discussion was about the props system and how it's ultimately useless and should do something. I still believe it should do something but whatever it's not top priority.
God, and that post was like a year ago. Time flies! :)
-
I haven't tried at all. I'm at tier 10 lol I haven't touched the game in a bit.

Hey forum members!
Most of you have seen the new Trusted tags. We introduced them last week and we seen a lot of questions like, why them and not me? Why do this? Why is their tag everywhere?
So here goes...
What is A TRUSTED MEMBER?
Large numbers of members are joining our Community and we can say without a doubt, our Community is successful. Well, now is the time to shine a light on our key members, members that have shown us that they could contribute regularly to the community in a positive manner.
These are our objectives for the PILOT:
- Provide a sense of accomplishment for key members of our community
- Create a place where constructive discussion is promoted and encouraged
- Help our new members to find a home in this community
HOW DID WE SELECT OUR PILOT MEMBERS?
Our pilot members were selected directly from our Forum member of the month initiative. They, themselves, suggested a few more members to join the PILOT. After screening, we will be adding a few more members to the pilot, maybe you are next?
What are the expectations from the Trusted members?
For the PILOT, our expectations are simple, our members need to keep doing what they do best!
- Create discussions and / or participate on a regular basis
- Provide feedback in a constructive way
- Provide reliable information to other members
- Make the forums a welcoming place for all members
Wait, but I thought they were BHVR representative?
They are Community representative, they aren't associated with BHVR, they are not moderators. The only deal they have with us is to follow the expectations previously listed. They have shown a particularly high level of involvement over a long period and already are a positive force in the Community. They are encouraged to disagree with BHVR or any member, as long as it's done in a constructive manner.
What will happen with this program?
The PILOT is planned to run for 2 months. If we see that it yields positive outcome, we will launch the full program. The full program will include guidelines, rewards and will be opened to a larger group of Trusted members. This is our long time goal.
Can I be part of this program?
We are creating this program with the goal of having a large but limited number of participants. Our guidelines will be published when we are done with the PILOT. You might be one of our future Trusted members and you don't know yet!
You can learn about the Trusted users here on this news post if you want to know what the official description of us are. :)
