No confirmed date but they said in three weeks after the PTB was opened if I recall correctly, so I'm guessing.... June 12th? I'm guessing up of the top of my head. :P
-
My mind was completely blown with that announcement. I had a bit of doubt hearing all the rumors but I'm so happy I can play with other players outside of PS! 🥳🥳🥳

Because no one uses Surge.
Survivors never expect it because it's such a rare perk to encounter. I remember my first encounter with the perk was 4 months after the ST chapter release and my heart dropped. Scared the hell out of me and I was just wondering what the hell happened. Other survivors probably also have this reaction due to it's lack of use.

Yes basically everyone is experiencing matchmaking issues. Right now the devs are working on a new system to replace the current one that you can read about here:

We’ve observed a growing Community concern about matchmaking in recent months. Matchmaking wait times have exceeded our targeted limits and we’ve seen rank disparities fluctuate. In this Status Update, we will go in details on factors impacting the matchmaking, our current matchmaking system and our future solutions.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/793/ZSC8B6CPRDCP.png
Above are the three variable factors in matchmaking, with a fourth being the number of players on each role, with an ideal ratio of 4 survivors for 1 killer at all times. When dealing with matchmaking, we need to decide how much to focus on each of the factors. If we focus on one point, the other points will see some sort of impact. For example, if we focus on time, your matches will likely end up being less fair, and you might get paired with people further away. Dedicated servers have helped us ensure a stable connection, with over 90% of players being put into matches with 150 ping and under. Our goal is to get you into a match as quickly as possible with a good connection, without compromising too much on fairness.
This is a difficult task in a game like Dead by Daylight, where both sides have different objectives and cannot be directly compared to one another. We’ve attempted to address this in the past with the Emblem system, but upon further review, we’ve concluded that rank does not directly correlate to skill. While a player who plays a lot will tend to be better than someone who plays very little, there are also players who are good at the game but don’t play enough to reach the upper ranks.
To help improve with the fairness factor without sacrificing wait times or pings, we will be making two changes. The first is a new system to better reflect a player’s skill level, and the second is a change to the matchmaking system to create fairer matches.
Going forward, we will use a hidden skill rating for matchmaking purposes. Your skill rating will increase when you do well and decrease when you do poorly. To keep this as fair as possible, the system will predict the outcome of the match based on the difference in your opponent(s) rating and adjust the amount your rating changes:
- If your rating is higher than your opponent(s), your rating will increase less if you win and drop more if you lose.
- If your rating is lower than your opponent(s), your rating will increase more if you win and drop less if you lose.
This way, even if you aren’t perfectly matched with people of the exact same skill level, your rating will not change unfairly.
In the future, we would like to extend this system to support different ratings for each killer, allowing you to practice a new killer without being immediately matched against high skilled players. This may not be included in the initial launch of the feature.
Additionally, to make sure that your matches are as fair as possible, we will be switching over to “batch matchmaking”.
Currently, our matchmaking system takes the player in queue and looks for a match close to their rank. If it is unable to find an appropriate match, it will gradually expand the search range until it is able to give you a match. This can lead to both unfair matches and long queue times.
The new batch matchmaking will instead pool a larger number of players together, compare their skill levels, and then create the fairest matches possible simultaneously. With a larger pool to pick from, we hope to improve the fairness factor of matchmaking while also keeping pings and wait times low.
The release of these changes will be gradual. With the release of the mid-chapter update, we are able to start tracking skill levels. For the time being, this is only a test and is not being used for matchmaking purposes. Once we are confident that the skill rating is working as intended, we will be running tests on live servers.
When this happens, you may notice some disparity in ranks during your matches. This is to be expected as rank will no longer be used for matchmaking purposes at this time. To avoid confusion, we are considering removing ranks from the post-match scoreboard once testing is complete, as they will no longer be relevant to matchmaking. Ranks will remain visible only to you for bragging rights and a goal to work towards, but will be a reflection of your dedication to the game rather than skill for the time being.
We are confident that these changes will allow us to create fairer matches without losing sight of our goals; to get you into a match as soon as possible with a solid connection. We’ll be sure to keep you posted on our progress as we move forward.

Yes, Open Handed works with Bond.
-
I don't see anything because I'm on mobile 😭
-
It's so bad right now. There's nothing fun about waiting 15 mins for a game only for it to end in 5 because the killer was a lower rank. Good luck to you, hopefully they fix this soon.

You can send a ticket to support if you believe you've encountered something ban able.

I'd love this if we get a Joe cosmetic with it.

I will never stop using this perk.
-
Legion or Ghostface.
Two normal people who's only scarry because they have a knife and the other is good at stealth.
-
- Moris: I hate using them
- Ghostface: Expose three people and hope not to be spotted. Oh and you have to be leaning around the corner.
- Hag: BORING AND ANNOYING
- Nurse: My frames, the bugs, my lack of skill, the pain.
-
Maybe Later :
You often procrastinate on the important things in life.
After fixing a total of 75%/50%/25% of a generator the perk activates. If you leave the generator it will be highlighted in yellow and any regression given to the gen is reduced by 10%/20%/30% until you or the another survivor starts repairing.
"Eh, maybe tomorrow." - BD
Calming Empathy:
Your calm attitude and empathy towards others in even the most stressing situations inspires others to relax and work together, helping them see things clearly.
While in the killer's terror radius, you will make no breathing sounds. In addition, you and other survivors will be able to see each other from an unlimited range for 5/10/15 seconds. This perk has a cool down of 40/30/20 seconds. You and other survivors will receive a sound notification when the perk activates.
"Keep it cool and follow the plan. We need to work together if we're to survive." - BD
Play it Safe:
You don't like taking risk and prefer a more safe approach to a situation.
When you save a survivor safely, you gain a token. Each token will grant you a 10%/12%/13% action speed for sabotage, totems, and unhooks. Lose tokens when unhooking while in the killer's radius. Only a maximum of 4 tokens.
"Don't run in there and get yourself killed! Keep it slow and we'll live." -BD

Rip this thread. I remember it being on the first page every time I clicked off topic. Not anymore though. ;-;

Yes rift cosmetics will come out on the store at least 6 months after their rift closes. However some cosmetics will stay exclusive to the rift but in my opinion it's probably just the charms.
-
I enjoy playing against him too. He just gives me this thrill most killers lack. Something about getting shot at is just energizing for some reason.

"Most rewards will be exclusively available via The Archives for a period of time and released into the Store at least 6 months after their Rift has ended" (emphasis mine) Source: https://deadbydaylight.com/en/news/welcome-to-the-archives
It is not 6 months later, it is at least 6 months later.
Oof, I must have overlooked that. Thanks for the confirmation. 👍

You can look at a wall, bait the flashlight save, look around and run perks like Infectious Fright to stop flashlights. Flashlight saves are already a bit difficult to pull off and have a limited use. They don't need further nerfing.
-
Rift cosmetics will appear on the store 6 months after their rift closes. However, some cosmetics will stay exclusive. but I assume they're talking about charms.
-
I personally found success hiding them in tall grass a little bit away from the generator so they don't see/hear you. Place them near a structure that hides the portal's sound and visuals. You could also just slap them on gens and use them as trackers for whos on a gen while holding shred.
Edit: Also if they're no gens or gates in the area DON'T place a portal. It's a waste as you won't need to go there if there are no objective im the area.

Dwight repair, How to trap Claudettes, and Kate's hair highjacking my screen for a bit. :P
-
Not exactly MY moment but he's my twin so basically me. My brother was playing Trapper against this Ace who looped him all game. Finally he downs him at shack and has the big brain idea of trapping every exit in the shack so no one can flashlight save (there was no basement). He traps them, picks him up, and....SNAP! Walked into a trap and dropped the Ace. Ace proceeds to escape and t bag. I was laughing the rest of the day lol.
-
Usually when I start to play DBD a friend is already online for me to join up with so I play mostly swf. I'll play solo here and there but most of the time it's swf or killer.
-
Killers are already able to open the gates when the last generator is completed.
-
At the moment I don't believe anyone new should pick up Dead by Daylight right now. The matchmaking issues, poor optimization, lack of solo survivor support, the community, and bugs left a sour taste on all of my friends who wanted to join in and even I can't play it without feeling annoyed. Every time I'm asked if I recommend DBD I say no or say "Go ahead but there are a lot of problems with it so keep that in mind."
-
According to the PlayStation year review I have 546 hours. Not much compared to others but it's something I guess :P.
-
I like it. I didn't really enjoy the arch with Ashoka and the those sisters that much but everything else is great. Newest episode sent chills down my spine every minute it's amazing!
-
They were not nerfed it's probably just an audio bug. Send a ticket to support if you want this bug to be recognized or go to the bug report section of the forums.

My favorite burger is a home made one. It just taste so much better 😋🍔
-
I highly recommend Hollow Knight. It's a lot of fun and the game is massive. The lore, the gameplay, music, and art are all amazing. It's a Metroidvania type game if you're wondering. It's a great game and it's only 15 bucks.
-
God no don't. It was so busted back then literally zero falling stun made certain building dreadful and overpowered. Never bring it back unless windows on every tall structure are deleted.
-
Even Kindred doesn't help.
In fact I usually just die because I teammate had no idea what they are doing. They just wander around aimlessly and wait for hatch. Not to say I never die to my own mistakes but damn it some times teammates are the worst.
-
Sorry Hag fans but she's just so obnoxiously boring for me.
-
I assume you're talking about the next Rift. The next Tome and Rift will come out next Wednesday.
-
The charm will come to everyone next Tuesday with the Mid Chapter Patch.
-
I never have and never will. It's a video game people, cool it and move on don't make yourself look like a idiot.
-
I'd love to see some avatars also they should make a dynamic theme with this image :
Like a nice particle affect or something. Or maybe it can transition to other art pieces of the game. It would be so cool!
-
With Self Care you spend a lot of time sitting there doing nothing until you're healed up and it's affected by Sloppy and other slow downs. Sure it's unlimited but damn it takes too much time. Even with botany it's still a pretty good amount of time you're wasting. You're also powering up the Oni as well so there's that.
Inner Strength helps destroy NOED and ignores all slow downs. Sure there are limited uses and you need to find a totem but it's still a super quick heal and finding a totem isn't very difficult and a good help to your team. It also syncs with Head On and Ds so you can be safe while in the locker you're healing in and you get a meme stun lol. Inner Strength is also very healthy for the game as it provides another reason to stop pumping gens so fast. Overall amazing perk when properly used.
Edit: If this reads like a C- essay then sorry. It's 2 in the morning. 😅
-
Not only they gave Dwight a pineapple pizza charm, they gave Kate the figurine. Unforgivable BHVR. Uninstalling later.
-
L1 (top left trigger)
-
I love all of it. Maps are one of the biggest issues in the game. I'm very excited to see how everything works out! :)
-
Crossplay without a doubt. It's something I've been wanting ever since they asked us about it on a survey.
-
Isn't that the girl who sold her bath water on the internet? That's a no from me 🤮
-
I like them. They have their issues yeah but overall I don't have any problems with them.
-
Yes!! Almost perfect tome take my money BHVR!
Edit: Now let's hope Dwight's the one to get the charm and not Kate or hopefully both.
-
Thank the lord that loop is going. I wonder if other map loops will get the same treatment? 🤔
