ok so i hooked someone right next to an exit gate, which was open, but blood warden didnt proc. playing as freddy, they just unhooked the survivor and they all ran out. i looked down at the blood warden emblem and it didnt even say it turned on after hooking while it was open. this happen to anyone else? random bug?You probably hooked them literally RIGHT before they finished their opening, it must have been really close. It's not bugged, it would have proc'd.

How about survivor do not gain any bloodpoints if they do the same gen for more than 20 seconds?
And they have to switch the gen to get any points?
Or how about they start losing points if a chase is going longer than 30 seconds and they can't lose the killer?Doesn't sound fair?
Guess what: punishing for camping doesnt sound fair to me either.YES HAHA THIS ^^^^
This is literally how stupid it sounds when people ask to punish camping.
-
The killer buff during chase is just random and doesn't have any logical reasoning behind it. It also just wouldn't be a good idea, we already had that issue back with the "machine gun" build issue if you were around then.
Also, I'm down for Kindred 2 being at base to bring solo up to swf par however your changes to Kindred would defeat the purpose of a lot of other perks like Bond and Empathy. If you kept Kindred the same or changed it you would have to give some massive as hell buffs to killer and add some other HEAVY things to slow down the game. I don't think you realize just how much of a massive loss of time that would do to the killers...who are already way, way behind on time in the current game WITHOUT adding that.

The perk that lights up is Spine Chill, not Premonition. Premonition gives you a sound notification. Premonition is still better than Spine Chill. As a survivor, you will not always escape, because the outcome also depends on your other teammates. The best you can try to do in any situation is to score as much points as you can and try to pip so you rank up.Also, you can hear the footsteps of stealth killers like Freddy and Myers if they are too close.
I'd argue spine chill is way better.
-
Open eyes, use sprint burst, spine chill/premonition if bad eyes
-
God I wish we could disable SWF from our que's
-
I would like this, shows off more skill with certain killers.
-
We don't need to find solutions to "camping", we need to realize WHY killers are camping. The answer is the game isn't even close to balanced, that's why there is currently so much camping. Balance the game and we fix camping.
-
Forgot about Krampus or Jack the Ripper.

Yeah at rank 1 killer I'm getting like 20-30min que's as well

Food for thought, but what if those offerings were usable again next year? (Not confirming anything, just saying that it's totally possible that they get reused later on.)In any case, there ain't no way this 'petition' is going to work. I've seen exactly two threads about it so far, and the response is usually "why did you buy so many of them?"
Hard to get excited about using something....a year from now..
Why did we buy all them? We were forced to in the web to participate in the event.

The map design is actually a big point of problem for the game. However, not for any of the reasons you mentioned except for the Myers one. Those things are not the real issues.

That whole issue could be fixed by lowering the slow upon uncloaking though.
Addind the Coxcombed clapper into his base kit makes it very easy to pull people off generatorsOnly if they're idiots and not paying attention. That's like saying it's easy to get pulled off a gen with Michael in tier1 and that only happens if the survivor is oblivious.
-
This is a perk that if it was buffed it would be highly abused and become a nightmare. It is not something we want to buff lightly.

Spirit is top tier if you play her correctly. She is like a slightly weaker Nurse. She can have insane map pressure and one of only three killers (Nurse and Billy) in the game whos ability let’s them traverse across the map quickly. She can be sneaky with her lower terror radius especially if you have the “Prayer Beads” add-ons. You can’t pick her up for the first time and expect a 4K. She takes time get used to, she is a mind gaming killer. I do mainly play Spirit, it used to be Myers but I honestly like Spirit the best. She is highly underrated if anything. I’d put her in the Top 5 killers in the game easily.Provide footage where she deals with a competent SWF. (might even use her best addons cus she is addon reliant lul)
So far noone was able to show that and I have never experienced it myself
Being in the top 5 doesn't mean you handle a competent SWF
I responded to someone claiming she is top tier, not top 5.
I agree, she is top 5, but she isnt even close to top tier
Its just your definition of toptier. A tier is not a single spot. They're not competing about the top spot, but the toptier.
Also, most people dont think about nurse when they discuss balance. They make a tierlist and then they put nurse on #1.If you talk about power tiers, then you put killers whose power are comparable onto the same tier.
Do you wanna argue with me that spirit is comparable to nurse? Because imo she clearly isnt and that simply makes her a non-toptier killer.
And yes, of course you start with the strongest killer if we talk about tiers (thats why its called top tier btw)
You literally missed the entire point of his post, that isn't what he said at all.

I think you just have a different interpretation of "top tier" than everyone else. Nurse isn't in top tier, she's above it.

While I totally agree with the post, the funny part is that Dying Light is already useless lol. Unless you're running a mori, the obsession is an idiot, or not running DS (yeah that's gonna happen), you just aren't getting that guy killed in any reasonable time to where it really even matters at that point. This also disregards that you definitely just made that guys game not fun whatsoever and never let him leave your sight. It's just a bad perk already before even thinking about touching Thanata.

While very good ideas, I think you messed up with the complexity. This is way too much work for the devs to have to add to all the maps. They don't just need the best idea, they need the best idea for the least amount of work involved. I think you should simplify this way down.
Ex. Just some oil cans you have to channel on like the flowers to fill (like vials). Once full you can apply it to a generator to allow it to be worked on. This gets repeated for each generator that survivors want to be able to work on.
That is just a random idea but you get the point. Very, very easy and simple to implement with little work, while also succeeding in slowing the game down a little and adding other objectives.
-
Overall definitely a successful event imo. Only mistakes was first making the killer vials take longer which caused a backup on that side effecting que times. Secondly, not allowing survivors to continue harvesting plants after 60 vials just for the bloodpoints (this also effected the que times as after 60 vials you could only really get the extra blooodpoints from killer as they could actually still use the event hooks after 60 vials). These were pretty much the only real 2 big issues that caused all the problems like the crazy que times.
Some minor other ones:
Survivors not being penalized enough on their vials for dying, which led to everyone just filling their vial and then committing suicide so it was hard to get an actual normal game.
Why even have event offerings?
It ends up forcing people to put bloodpoints into a character they may not want to level just to get the offerings so they can participate in the event. It also is leaving people like myself with "millions" of bloodpoints worth of the offerings that are going to be simply wasted and unused. They should've just had them in the games at base with no offerings required so that everyone can participate regardless and not have to spend bloodpoints to play.***Great work on the skins as well, they seemed very high quality. I'm not usually one for buying skins, but these were definitely good enough that I went and purchased the rest because of how good they were. I also think this showed them how good of an idea the extra objectives were. The extra time it gave killers was helping to balance things out a lot. Great work as well on their part of responding to the community with fixes in a very timely manner and listening to us.
-
Honestly, the power level wraith should be at is when he is running the Coxcombed Clapper. Probably an unpopular opinion but I think that ultra-rare should have been in his base kit. Requires the survivor to actually pay attention and you to try and outplay them by re appearing behind things. If played well and the survivor wasn't paying attention hopefully netting you a quick hit. Honestly all the stealth killers need a little work to me. Their entire purpose to me should be you trying to be skillful and get a surprise attack without them seeing you coming. Currently all the stealth (generally) totally negate themselves. I mean as wraith you sneak up on them and bang a damn bell to say HEY IM HERE, I FOUND YOU. Now let me give you a few seconds to run away and defeat the entire purpose of me sneaking up on you. Currently the only advantage you're getting as a "stealth" killer is to find people...yeah that's a joke. It would make the stealth killers a lot more enjoyable if you were actually trying to sneak up on them and get that initial surprise hit. Yeah you might not be better in a chase but if you played it right you got an early hit so you only need 1 hit on them with the chase rather than 2. End rant, just feel like stealth killers entire purpose is placed incorrectly.

"They just need to run in a straight line and you can never catch them."It's the easiest way the spirit can catch survivors actually. I even surprise when see that survivors don't fake their movements and just run in a straight line, so they make it so much easier to me.
If you start walking or crouching when you KNOW The Spirit is about to phase walk it’ll throw her off guard easily.
The only way she’ll catch you is if she is SUPER good at listening to your injured cries (which can be countered by Iron Will) or if she has the add-on that makes it so she can see your blood while phase walking and this is all only if you are injured. Spirit can easily out mind game herself, I’ve done it countless times as Spirit.
Running in a straight line while she is phase walking will be about as effective as running in a straight line while Billy is chainsawing or while The Huntress is winding up a hatchet.
This is true. However, you can't always tell exactly when she is phasing if you do it correctly( as in I try and phase when there's LoS) and Stridor helps counter that strat you speak of. Good headphones as well

Honestly they should've added a little bloodpoint bonus for completing achievements in game. Nothing significant, but it would be a nice little bonus incentive.

For one year, people asked for Hag to have movement speed, thanks god devs did not listen to them, and eventually everyone agreed their cube was far better than a straightforward 115% movement speed. It's not what Spirit needs. She doesn't need faster movement speed (she belongs to the category of killers who need to use their power to chase), she doesn't need easier learning curve. The issue with Spirit is that her base kit is pretty poor - rather low phase movement speed and duration makes her patrol pretty poor, and her charge animation is a bit too slow and makes you waste distance in chase. Better base kit, and nerf her addons to compensate, and she will be a solid mid tier killer.
@Weederick Spirit is weak to every single chase mechanic of the game and her power has counters. She has too many limits to be considered top tier, while the Hag, another "slow" killer, can GUARANTEE a hit out of every single trap, can counter every single chase mechanic, has the best map control and snowball. Spirit is, at best, mid tier WITH strong addons (green). There's a reason every Spirit I face in rank 1 spams purple addons...
While I agree on her needing a little more baked into her base kit and addons adjusted accordingly, I heavily disagree on her only being mid tier. I'd put her above probably anything but nurse and billy. Hag does not even come close to "GUARENTEE" hit every trap. Unlike the spirit she is heavily countered by non idiots that know what they're doing. Spirit is much more consistent and harder to counter. I 4k probably 8/10 games with her at rank 1 consistently, she's a lot better than you think she is. (this is primarily only yellow addons btw)
A good Hag has no counter other than genrushing. It's as simple as that. She is even stronger than Nurse in chase, because Nurse can be juked, while a good trap will prevent any play from the survivor side, because of the camera flick which is an utterly strong mechanic while mastered.
An example of a (really) short chase:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DGNELNUdZUQAn example of a strong camera flick:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6wSAmlyvK4Regular game when you have a perfect web:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7EtrJ3aJGzwBecause of her limits, Spirit relies on a very strong prediction in order to do great. Her charge animation, relatively slow phase speed, and short duration forces her to do wild guesses in chase - you have only one chance.
Because of that, and after you hit a first time, you have to make a choice: either use your power to close the gap and waste an additional time being looped while on cooldown, or assume they will try to reach a safe location to cheese a hit from the other side - for example, looping counter-clock the cow tree or a main building.
This is not what I call a "viable" power. I'm a strong Spirit, I have excellent games, but I am not allowed to do any mistake AND survivors need to screw up in order to down them quickly. Not even talking about Dead Hard which is an extreme nightmare to deal with since it forces you on cooldown.
Fortunately, survivors are utterly bad at mindgames and also pretty predictable. But anyone with a bit of braincell can outplay Spirit, and then the best choice is to switch to a weaker target, which does not make Spirit a great killer.
This is just so incorrect. First of all yeah hag chases can end quickly if the team is a bunch of idiots who don't properly handle her traps. You counter her by eliminating her traps when she is unable to use them and this isn't even getting into flashlights, UE, or how she is stuck to the area where her web is built generally. No counters but gen rushing is just complete nonsense. I'm not saying she isn't strong, she's definitely one of the top tiers. However, you are way, way over exaggerating her. Hag is quite easily counterable.
Next, I don't think you play spirit properly if you really are guessing. I don't need to make guesses with her because I have good headphones and can hear them out. Spirit is also not stuck to one area of the map with her ability. Her power is much, much more reliable than Hags is in relying on a survivor going somewhere specifically, the spirit doesn't care where they go. Yes you can push them in the directions you want to go, but that's something the Spirit doesn't even have to do or rely on.
Your videos are simply proof of some idiots who chose NOT to try and counter her at all and suffered the consequences, that shows nothing.

You're not following my point. Top tier does not mean you demolish SWF
Right now nurse is the only killer that can deal with a competent SWF (Feel free to disprove that), that makes her top tier.

or is nurse hyper tier?
(usually top tier is the highest one^^)Nurse is overpowered, thats why she can deal with swf and no one else. Nurse, Billy, Hag, Spirit and Huntress are all toptier, since they deal different with chase and time management and can generally win most games at rank 1.

Agree on this. I use her P3 but I'd like something nice like the hallowed blight skin for her. Most her outfits for purchase right now all look pretty bad to me and mostly the same as each other.

Another note, whether it was for ambiance or not, he mentioned watching the moon. Hint at a werewolf ish transforming killer? Maybe
A more likely scenario based on what we've seen and read is a Dr jykell/Hyde type killer. Matches the scenario happening with his experimenting and the Victorian time frame he is coming from. I expect a killer similar to doctor where he has two stances and he can transform between them with each having different strengths.

to be onest, i thought so too at first, but, and this is the part of the story that changed my mind, the storyteller admitted that he beat the "monster" and chained it up on a wall and ran tests on it. the next day, we got the trailer which showed us the trapper who was chained up on a wall and injected with the nectar, until he broke free. after that, the storyteller told us that "he" has escaped, so i am pretty certain he is talking about the trapper.
also the trapper is actually pretty disfigured, or how many people do you see who grow iron hooks out of their bodies? and the mechanical jaw could be related to his mask, as its one big mark would be the smiling mouth, which would kinda fit in this description.
i might be wrong though.This^^^
Also as you read through the next days notes it heavily hints at him becoming a monster. Like how he said he smashed trapper through a wall in order to even be able to chain him up or the constant ramblings of him losing his sanity and all hope.

The only Killers that really need to be adressed are LF and Freddy, the other ones suffer mostly from the same symptoms caused by the gen speeds.
Hell you could probably beat any nurse and billy main in the world when you are hellbent on blasting those gens.
Wraith is still too addon dependent, trapper is not even close to the other killers levels, Myers needs multi-stalk back and shouldn't be limited on stalk per player, Pig needs her crouch/ambush fixed and there are still quite a few ultra-rare addons for killers that are trash/should just be in their base kits (ex. Rule Set #2)
Agree on your points though.
I'm curious, if all these buffs were applied, do you still think there should be a gen rush nerf?
Because personally I think that if every killer was buffed to the level of clown or Hillbilly, a gen rush nerf would no longer be needed. Not sure. That said though, even with all these things added killers like trapper or myers can still get looped for all 5 gens because of how fast they go. So while these do make them stronger, it doesn't make them better at handling loops and there's still more than enough pallets/loops to where that extra strength would not even make into play.

However, No matter who is using it, the most effective tactic is what it is. It literally does not matter how many people use it, it matters about maths and how it's chances are effectively used.
I don't think Lullaby or Coulraphobia would make any killers core list unless they literally had nothing else, both those perks are quite bad and situational. If it's just a matter of what you happen to see more often then I guess that's fair.

I agree with this. A few perks need QoL changes to UI to make them more user friendly, for killer and survivor. For example, I really wish BT icon would light up when you save someone and give them BT. I've made saves where I was sure I gave BT but then it turns out I didn't because it was a Wraith or Pig that cloaked/crouched at the right moment to remove their heartbeat.@Blueberry said:
Honestly, this perk should have zero range restrictions on it, no cooldown and the aura revealed of any survivors in the basement for the entire time they are there. Even with all that it would still only ever be used on meme bubba builds. That's how under powered that perk currently is.I agree with this too. No cooldown and just always show the aura when outside the 32m range. Inside that range though it shouldn't show an aura only because it removes any chance of counter play on the survivors end.
It should show it even when you are within 32m, there shouldn't be any range restriction. You are literally wasting an entire perk hoping they decide to wander down into the basement. At BEST they go once for the chest there and that's it. This is such a ridiculously situational perk that given it actually happens it should be very strong.

On the same note relating to sounds though, I think they need to improve the sound on Stridor as well.

I actually like this idea. Would make it worth considering and fit in some stealth builds.
