Honestly, this perk should have zero range restrictions on it, no cooldown and the aura revealed of any survivors in the basement for the entire time they are there. Even with all that it would still only ever be used on meme bubba builds. That's how under powered that perk currently is.
-
I definitely wouldn't call her weak, I actually think she is quite strong. I personally would just like some tweaks to her in form of less addon dependent mostly( a lot of killers for that matter). Bake a little into her base kit and adjust addons accordingly. Also, her ultra-rare ring why does it even have a penalty of no scratch marks? Makes it trash. I'd rather use the only SLIGHTLY slower green addon with zero downsides. The fathers glasses should've been in her base kit as well.
Also, the sounds changes they made a while back really hurts her. You used to be able to hear a lot more and Stridor used to be a lot better.

As Orion has pointed out as well, looping doesn't help the survivor he's chasing to survive whatsoever. The only thing looping does is let him waste more of the killers time. Any competent player knows one of the big issues with the game right now is an imbalance of time between the two sides to complete their objectives.

I'm very excited for his buff! The buff may come with it but they're doing a complete rework of him so he may not be stronger as much as different. As long as they don't go back to how he was when he was first released, I'm looking forward to the change.
They never said that.
Not [BAD WORD] verbatim but they said something like it. They were tossing out a lot of stuff, like lowering the dream transition speed and making it easier to see as well as crazy ######### like having him increase his power the more survivors he put to sleep. It's all just speculation because even they said not to quote them on what they're going to do or when the change is coming.
That's my point, so many people have spread this nonsense about complete rework that everyone now thinks that's actually what's happening. Reducing dream transition, no wake up on SC, more power if more survivors are asleep, these are all tweaks not entire reworking of the killer fundamentally.

Yeah I just don't want the traps to be made more deadly, just waste more time than they currently do. If they added an extra box I'd be fine if they even added a little more time on the trap.
maybe but after freddy i feel trapper or pig needs next buff
Yeah trapper is pretty bad as well
its a shame because i love him so much i feel if they buff him they should give him a faster base trap setting speed traps are harder to see more movement speed and traps are larger
He's already got the normal fastest move speed and his traps were already made faster. The trap hitbox needs to be larger, they should be harder to see at base, all traps should spawn into the map armed, more traps on the map and carry 3 to start at base.
Honestly, his addon to make the traps auto re arm themselves after being disarmed should've been a passive as well or baked into Hangmans Trick.

The only Killers that really need to be adressed are LF and Freddy, the other ones suffer mostly from the same symptoms caused by the gen speeds.
Hell you could probably beat any nurse and billy main in the world when you are hellbent on blasting those gens.
Wraith is still too addon dependent, trapper is not even close to the other killers levels, Myers needs multi-stalk back and shouldn't be limited on stalk per player, Pig needs her crouch/ambush fixed and there are still quite a few ultra-rare addons for killers that are trash/should just be in their base kits (ex. Rule Set #2)
Agree on your points though.

Yes, it can be a little bit boring after some time, especially solo`ing, but it is not trash. It is as easy as it was before, ranking-up-wise.
Quite a bit too easy even I'd say. Pretty hard to actually depip.

Definitely not had his bottles disappear yet.
Before the vaulting changes Clowns bottles always caused medium vaults as it was triggered by full speed meaning the gas prevented fast vaults. Now they changed it to distance and angle and Clown can no longer force medium vaults as speed is no longer considered.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/27319/clown-nerfed-on-purpose#latest
Wow if that was actually unintended and they plan to fix it that is great news. The gas reducing vault speed was massive.
Also, on the threads topic, the bottles randomly breaking in his hand is very annoying. Hope they fix that as well.
I agree. Clown is one of the viable killers right now, but survivors sometimes fast vaulting while intoxicated was a bit annoying. I mean his ability is only good in chases so it's nice to see it getting fixed.
I think he's probably one of the more underrated killers. He's much better than many people think.
I'd vote him as the best chaser in the game after Billy and Nurse. Hes good but still reliant on snowballs because the matches are to short.
Yeah but that's an issue for basically all killers. Quite a lot of the killers need work but before we even get to that spot we need how fast the matches go to be addressed. That's one of the main issues.

@Blueberry Perhaps the issue isn't the killers but your lack of skill in using them to their fullest and when you use the addon argument it means it's you. I see Trappers/Pigs/Myers/Rin's/Clowns/Hag's/Wraiths/Freddy's etc all doing well at rank 1 and playing to their fullest potential. The ones I don't see playing well at rank 1 are those that automatically say the killer isn't viable at rank 1. When you point out the good ones it's the same old argument that's invalid. Well against a 4 man swf group. I mean talk about a logical fallacy there, that qualifies because then you come back with well you say even nurse isn't good.
We then point out streamers that wreck 4 man swf groups then the excuse is well the survivors were idiots, not that the killer played better. If it isn't one excuse with you killers it's another excuse for why the killer did well.
You just can't eve admit that people other than you know how to play certain killer well and get the most out of them and do it regularly. I could have every top tier streamer you all quote as gospel come in here and tell you the issue is you.
Yet because you refuse to admit you need to improve you'd just say well they're just a streamer etc. But if they agreed with you you'd say their word proved you right. There's people on here that's mained killers and done it on the 3 different systems and get rank 1 and can 4k with regularity.
They post proof yet it's well it's easy to hit rank 1 or the survivors are all bad, not that they can play perkless Freddy or perkless nurse and kick butt etc.
By all means if you seriously believe that nonsense, post "one" video backing it up, anywhere. Let me see it. I think I do play them to their fullest potential as I have a massive amount of hours and years of rank 1 game play on them. However, if all you''re going to do is simply disagree with me on that then there's nothing I can possibly say here that would convince you otherwise, you simply just think you know better and I don't think you do. Getting to rank 1 with any killer is very different from consistently performing well with the killer at rank 1.

People just aren't escaping anymore. Game is pointless. I can't speak for everyone but in my personal experience the game is quite balanced right now.
I do play both solo and swf, more solo without self care lately. Sometimes we all get destroyed, sometimes we all survive and sometimes killer gets the average of 2K. Top tier killers sometimes rekt us and sometimes they get rekt, same goes for the "low tier" killer, so it's pretty much a skill issue rather than a balance issue. I've seen skilled players running "low tier" killers with a devastating map pressure and getting 3-4 K easily. Personally i'm doing fine as a solo survivor and my escape rate is above 70% i'd say. As a killer i get 3K at least in almost every match, 2K if i had a bad day and 1K if i'm extremely drunk. Are you saying the game is balanced with the newest patch only? Or during this event because of the added objectives? I'm saying that it's more balanced than it used to be (i'm not including the event) and it's not as bad as some people around say.
Some killers are more powerful than others, that is true, but all of them are viable at rank 1, some of them only require more skills. You see, the problem is that people claim that the game should be balanced around the perfect swf squad, but no one talks about perfect killer players. So if we only focus the balance around that perfect squad we are giving tools to mediocre players to be able to beat good survivors, and that's just wrong. No, all killers are not viable at rank 1. Yes you can easily get to rank 1 with any killer, but constantly performing well and getting at least 2k each game? Not unless you're playing against idiots, which do be fair can be a lot but it's not because the killer is viable.
So if you get 1K in one match you automatically think the killer you are running is not viable? Regularly 1k yes, I can't see how you could possibly think otherwise. Let's not add "one match" because that's not what I said. You said "each game".
If it happened regularly the first thing i'd try to do is see where i'm failing at, see other players running the same killer and stuff. Then if i see it's a common thing then yeah, i would ask for a buff, but i've seen different players using non-top killers in a way that made them top tier killers. Last time was yesterday against an astonishing clown who kept the map pressure so well, i was the only one who managed to escape through the hatch with only 2 gens done, and i can assure you we were playing efficiently.
"each game" does not imply one game.
Also, clown is absolutely not a killer I consider low tier. He is very strong and not one of the killers we are talking about.
I'd like you to show me a game with say a trapper/freddy/wraith not running out of the normal addons that did well and the survivors didn't just play stupid.
I said clown because many people here only consider billy and nurse the only good killers.
I get good results with the trapper without being too dependant on addons.
As for the wraith and freddy i barely use them but i really want to start to use both of them (i main the hag currently) because i've seen really good freddies and wraiths around. People might use better addons with them, but i've seen others runnimg crappy addons or not addons at all and performing quite well.
Addons might help, but at the end it's mostly about mind games and strategy.Consistency is key and I don't think those killers have it bar loading out very good addons or stupid survivors. By all means record or find a game showing me otherwise and I'll gladly change my stance. Currently if those killers do well it's not simply because they played well, their skill ceiling is quite low and against equally skilled survivors they will lose every time, that's my opinion backed by I think quite a lot of hours and high rank play.
-
I think it's actually a simpler change. When they add the extra objectives to the normal game ie those flowers from the events, make those give extra blood points for extraction. Boom. Game slowed down for killers and extra blood points for survivors.

What's funny is I would actually put a lot of ultra-rares on the worst list. They've given so many of them such downsides that they just aren't worth the bloodpoints imo, or some other ones that don't have a terrible downside but just aren't even good enough to be called an "ultra-rare" and should even be in the killers base kit. This fits for a lot of the newer killers.
-
I like the hatch idea. However for the totems adding a perk just for that is unneeded. Just make them all look dull and change their color to be black so they actually blend in a little and a survivor has to actually be paying attention. Even as a dull totem they stick out like a lighthouse.
-
I actually like most of it, I just think they really messed up on the weapon. Compared to some others it looks barely touched, I mean you can't even see of the glow on the weapon when you're playing aside from when you hit and even then it's very little.

@Blueberry The point of my post is to offer solutions that are easily implemented into the current game, adding a status debuff such as Dizzy is already in the code in the form of the Clown's "Afterpiece Tonic" gas bomb and is thus able to be reused for this purpose albeit toned way down. I'm in no way saying that Survivors should only be able to run in straight lines, but the easiest way to prevent looping is to punish it directly. Cut the head off a snake, and the body will die. That would just never happen. The devs would not add the dizzy effect just for circling a pallet. I also think it's not needed if the other changes were implemented.

@Blueberry No, at all ranks and against all combinations of opponents. The game must sell and, to sell, must be as balanced as possible for all categories of players.Balance for lower ranks means intentionally making something overpowered because you assume the player will just be stupid and use it incorrectly. That is a terrible way to balance.
You forgive two questions:
1) both survivors and killers are inexperienced at low ranks, so why should a role be overpowered?
2) nobody reaches rank 1 without passing from rank 20: if the game is not balanced at all ranks, many people probably will give up (and new players mean new customers, who buy the gamee and convince their friends to do the same).1) Something isn't overpowered just because they're bad at the game, it's a skill issue.
2)They realize they failed because they have to learn to become better at the game. This is an entitlement issue and skill issue. Just because something is difficult you don't just lower the bar, you work harder to reach it. The most successful games apply this.I agree, in theory. In practice, a too difficult game is often abandoned: videogames are not a school or a job, a player is not paid in knowledge or money for playing it, they are paid in fun. And Developers know that, and try to do a game enjoyable at every rank, which is a real issue, not to talk about "solo survivors/SWF".
I guess our disagreement comes down to "too difficult" then. If it was indeed too difficult in that sense then yeah I can see where you're coming from. However, I don't think the appropriate changes the game needs would put it anywhere near the realm of your version of too difficult where they'd lose a bunch of players. No way for us to truly know I suppose though unless they actually did the changes. Guess we'll see.

The rarity of them is a non issue to me. Basically all my killers are at P3 so the rare ones come up plenty, it's just a lot of blood points to have to keep sinking on them all for only 1 use each time. Can agree with that point of view too. Taking both into account, we're basically discouraged from running add-ons.
While at the same time being very addon dependent and that's where the issues lie.

We need a pass to bake a lot of addon strength into their base kits and of course adjust the addons accordingly afterwards.I can understand that incorporating many of the add-ons into base kit might be hard to balance (and hard for survivors to swallow), but surely an easy (and very small) buff would be simply to reduce rarity of the good ones so that we actually get to use them more than once in a blue moon.
Or give us some kind of shop so that we can choose which add-ons to buy, instead of relying on the RNG. I don't think I've ever had a modified timer.

I think that relates to how we burn through addons way faster than survivors. They have chests to find more in game and they get to keep re using their items over and over as long as they don't die. This in turn means I have hundreds of everything on my main survivors where as we burn through them super fast on killer since you only get 1 use regardless and don't get more in game. The rarity of them is a non issue to me. Basically all my killers are at P3 so the rare ones come up plenty, it's just a lot of blood points to have to keep sinking on them all for only 1 use each time.

Like a lot of killers, the devs need to reassess which add-ons actually make Piggy decent and then reduce their rarity.I don't think Amanda needs that much work really. But I rarely get to run the nice add-ons, because they're too rare.
This is actually an issue for a lot of the killers unfortunately. Too many killers are very addon dependent. We need a pass to bake a lot of addon strength into their base kits and of course adjust the addons accordingly afterwards. Not to mention the amount of addons with special effects that most people think should even just be in their base kits ie Rule Set #2

Something like this as well, smoke all over him -
You used the pallet incorrectly, they are working fine.

All of a sudden alot of the weaker killer's got buffed and Freddy getting a rework I'm seeing so many Pig needs a buff/rework.Well I'm here to say no she doesn't. Ppl complaining about her crouch attack because it makes a loud noise alarming the survivor... Well let me tell you that I've seen some really good pig players that would crouch walk and come out of it to get a small movement speed and still silent for a couple seconds and pull survivors off of gens like crazy.
Some of you pig players wanna crouch around in stealth the entire game and sneak attack or using your traps way too quick. Save some of your traps for a later game.
Use her add-ons that make us check the boxes slower or the add-ons that let you create 5 boxes and 5 traps or the one that speeds up the timer on the traps. You're saying she's bad because her traps rng sometime suck.
Its rng.... What can you do about it. In my opinion Pig is fine... There's a line that shouldn't be crossed with this killer, because if you actually buff her she could become an OP killer if she had silent sneak attack and rng always favoring the killer were she Damn near gets 2 to 3 head pops a game.
Plus with Pig it's about what combo of perks are you using with her as well. I see BBQ, Ruin, Enduring & Spirit Fury as a really good build for her.
Some of us actually play at rank 1 and know how weak she actually is.

I humbly suggest @not_Queen and other Devs to play at least ten trials as killers and ten trials as survivors before a Player Test Build is released as a new patch, against both other Devs and common players. It should help you in your great job!At rank 1 against a swf

This would be so embarrassing for them, probably a good lesson though.

Wraith is still pretty trash. He gets good with proper addons but we don't need more killers being so addon dependent.

The dizzy effect thing is just nonsense, the devs would never do that. However, the hitbox lower and 2 vault limit are perfect and is exactly what I've recommended. Even though it wouldn't stop the looping it would at least lower it a little. I think this could be fine if they also gave the killers more time like with the new event objectives.
