This thread confuses me

I’m not saying that they should be able to default dance or something, but maybe an icon thing showing that you found hatch or to say that you’ve spotted the killer? Maybe even one that’s like a “Come here and let me heal you!” type thing. But if BHVR wants dbd to be the best game on the market then they should allow Myers to moonwalk
-
Nah SWF is broken because of third party equipment and the fact all 4 survivors have common goals and know exactly what the others are doing
Good survivors are fine

So where is the hypocrite part in this rant?
-
No joke a literal Fast Food monster would be awesome
-
Just run Bond, Empathy, or Alert, jeez. There's a already a free chase mark notification with the obsession. Considering information is one of the most valuable things in the game You should have to sacrifice a perk slot in order to gain such information. SWF break the game using third party equipment which is why they are hated, just as a 5 blink nurse is hated.
Otherwise if this change is made than Surveillance should be made baseline
I'm pretty sure everyone would enjoy basekit Surveillance on a Nurse
-
Since this thread involves a lot of youtuber discussion. We can all agree Otzdarva is the best DBD youtuber, yes?

I'm sorry, but do you understand the amount of money that license would be? Tens of millions, maybe more. Not possible.
I'm talking about a homage costume, not the actual Spider-Man suit. They could totally do a homage costume have GF's suit have latex in a few areas, give it Spider-Man colors in a few areas and bam! Ghost-Face Spiderman is a reality!

If devs think the game is balanced then they can't add a 2nd objective. To do this they have to nerf killers
You want to nerf Wraith, Clown, Pig, Bubba. Legion, and Bear Traps?
Your a monster!
-
All things considered maybe now I can play Clown and Wraith without 2 gens being done the moment I down a survivor with a third one halfway done at red ranks
After all combining both Ruin and Corrupt should lead to some viable slowdown. The only killers I'll run both, also probably the only ones I'll run Ruin on as well. Just so hard playing Wraith at red ranks can't even commit to a medium length chase

Personally my second choice is Spooky Space Kook and third is the Tar Monster. The Creeper is a good choice though.
Oh yeah Space Kook! Now he would look awesome in detailed graphics, especially Tar Monster
This would be cool to see

You know, I was already 95% the way there to buying this skin but you just pushed it to 100%. Now if only I could get my Captain Cutler character/skin, big thumbs up to whoever actually knows who that is.
I would love a Captain Cutler character! I mean granted it couldn't be a skin for trapper like you said, because it has been taken. But a unique undersea diver Ghost character would be awesome!
Though if I could choose, I would totally pick the Creeper for the game
-
-
I don't have a main per say I keep the gameplay fresh and fun by bouncing from killer to killer after playing one exclusively for a short while
The killers I would say I am most comfortable with are Michael Myers, Doctor, Pig, and the Trapper
There were periods where I was close to maining something exclusively such as pre-rework Freddy, Bubba (Low ranks back when I was new), and others.
I'm hoping the Demogorgon might be the killer that I main

I played against tru3talent, i was the killer (leatherface) with a mori. But I didn't know he was in my game until the post game chat. Then I rewatched his stream and everyone was saying in the chat "AnOtHeR mOrI SNIPER!!!!" XD
-
Keys and moris are the most obnoxious freaking items in the entire game. It's frigging stupid how 3 survivors can give themselves the worst 3 gen scenario and then all escape because "RNG"
Absolute stupidity. Even more annoying is when one survivor finds the key and the duo leaves the third one behind. It's more of a self-affliction but I usually let the last one go because of it, I would be infuriated if I saw the key users just crouching around hatch not even trying to save you if I was that survivor
So frigging tired of running into them, they should both be removed
-
Make it turn the killer into magneto and have unrelenting counter Dead Hard by pulling the survivor back towards the killer
Than a DLC later we can introduce
Wooden Composure perk to counter it
-
If all else fails there is one option
Plead to the killer for mercy, if you see him coming and if you have the time, crouch and walk slowly to him. If you have an item drop it, the killer will see this and depending on the player will accept it. Especially if he's a TF2 player, they always accept the crouch
Always
Anyway than you can turn the tables and lead him straight to the people who intentionally farmed you and show them how unfun it is to be farmed in turn. I'll always respect it because I know the pain of being farmed of having no chance to stop people that are supposed to be your team
-
What if Killers had a perk that made any hook sacrifice Survivors 25% faster?
One day
One day Shrine will become all powerful

I'm not the one making a topic on a digital perk, my guy ;) just play the game until something serious shows up to conversate about. This isn't one of them.
But you are the one being dramatic about it
Touche nullified!

Hey that's pretty cool! I don't think I noticed that before

NOED is in a league of it's own. Can't believe you even...
Oh stop being so overly dramatic, good grief. Your acting like this is some heavy conversation when it ultimately boils down to whether people find two digital perks from a video game more annoying then the other one. Chill
-
@Atsuka_Anarchy said:
Wow. Are killers still bringing up DS? Seriously? Much wow...
I can say the same about NOED. DS is a meta perk of course it's going to be talked about and mentioned to death because it's played to death lol
-
DS that can be used 2 times with no timelimit and is active forever until another survivor is hooked?

I believe cruel confinement shows to survivors what vaulting locations are blocked right?

Imagine Nemesis slowly chasing survivors around a loop
The death of horror lol

There's a very simple counter to Totems
If you suspect a killer has NOED stop cleansing every single totem you see. The reason NOED is effective is because the players get this mindset of "Imma cleanse all the totems because NOED!" and they succeed at that. They cleanse every single totem that's easy to get or out in the middle of a field, except for that final totem hidden in a bush at the corner of the map that they had no idea was there and cannot get to.
If survivors learned to just leave one or several totems alone until the EGC when NOED is confirmed the chances are NOED will spawn on one of those totems and be easy to get. A NOED that spawns on a totem you know about isn't an issue. It's the NOED that spawns on the totem you don't know about that gets you
But until the mindset of "If cleanse one totem must cleanse all!I!" finally dies out, People won't learn. Cleanse the totems that are at the corners of the map or far away in an area you won't be coming back to, and leave the ones that are obvious and where you can get to easily. It's very simple
The whole mindset of cleanse them all if you do one is like saying if you searched a chest and healed yourself with the med kit you found. You now have to commit and always heal yourself with a med-kit from a chest. It's even better in a SWF if each player did one totem as they moved along there would be barely any lost time

It's a crutch perk for bad killers everyone knows this.
And if you defend it you simply don't realise this and are a bad killer.
But devs have stated that the noed is in a good place now as it has a counter, cleansing totems.

Everyone sucks here, but the killer is more in the wrong. Logically speaking, do you really think this game waa designed for you to get kills simply by bodyblocking? Like seriously, are you of limited intelligence or just a troll because your life sucks?

Reasoning? Because you're a biased killer main or is there any logic to be found?

I would like to see working on generators hamper perks like Spine-Chill not deactivate them but reduce their effective range a little bit

It was ruin, bbq, PGTW and bamboozle but I prestiged him so I’m using something else.
No Play with your food? A good build that could work for him could be Corrupt, Food, Weasel/BBQ, Infectious Fright
-
I tend to run into moris more often then Puddings and especially Steamers. I usually have anywhere from 5 to over 10 moris on my characters. I would have more but I generally bypass the Moris as much as I can to avoid having to spend the extra few thousand BP on something I don't use

Bubba is the only killer I enjoy to be honest, I personally think every killer is possible at rank one but that’s just my opinion. :)
What build are you using?
-
I have a feeling it's probably related to license holders
Your examples for Halloween and Saw aren't original names by DBD. Those are the nick-names/names the characters have been given in their respective franchises before. Likely the owners of Ghostface probably wanted "The Ghost-Face" to be his name because that's the name of the character
Same with Netflix and Demo besides the ST characters would have fully explained the monster to the characters in-universe so it makes sense the Demo's real name would be recognized

I find Decisive Strike to be very annoying with how much power it has over killers
Now note I rarely if ever tunnel because I value being a good host and I know how bloody irritating it is to be camped. Not exactly a thrilling gameplay experience
That said it is still incredibly irritating when your in a situation where you really need a sacrifice to gain some pressure and the unhooked survivor just did something really stupid like self-care under the hook or run right into you and you can't pick them up all because of one little perk, even worse is when they have a key and you have to just stand there and wait
For 60 seconds
Because you know you'll get outplayed by a white box. Luckily for the most part my playstyle generally counters Decisive Strike and Borrowed Time because I always go for the unhooked or other survivors. I get more points that way, I spread the pain, and everyone generally has more fun that way. But the times when Decisive Strike rears it's ugly head and forces me to have to play around it
Yeah, it's really freaking irritating. I just think it's kind of stupid a single perk has that much power but I can't judge much I suppose. It's particularly annoying at EGC where a gate's open and you down the last survivor that just got unhooked and there's a pretty good chance he'll get a free escape just because of DS
Anyway needlessly silly rant about a perk that looks like a pizza slice over
-
I have no doubt the playerbase is far more then healthy enough to support an alternate "competitive" mode
The problem lies with how do you ensure the mode will be balanced and enjoyable. As well as putting in enough of a reward to motivate people to play it? Because after all limiting killers, perks, offerings, and maps means you have to put in a reward big enough to get people to look past less content and options available to them
If the BP reward was big enough I would totally play a few games if just to get the grinding started on other killers/survivors
-
A competitive like mode?
It could be interesting, but these types of modes require support from developers in order to thrive. Just look at how poorly TF2's official competitive mode has done since it was released years ago
There has to be some type of reward, good gameplay, and drive to make the mode popular. A competitive mode also needs things to be thoroughly balanced, so only the best maps and whitelisted perks can be used. So you'll need top tier players to determine what's fair and what's bad
It can be done no doubt but it relies on the developers taking the time and initiative as well as listening to the high hour players on what should be allowed

Blood lodge is in general a bad map for M1 killers. Probably has the most pallets and majority of them are really good. Maybe 1-2 out of 15+ pallets are unsafe. That map needs a rework, it's the complete opposite of shelter woods. A difference of day and night, is the balance team of bhvr sleeping? How can both maps exists at the same time without anyone attempting to balance them out?
True a vast chunk of the pallets on that map are ridiculous. With the exception of a few walls at the corners and edges of the map, the vast majority of the pallet locations are neigh unmindgameable. There's no line of sight breakers so both sides can see where the other is and going. The only thing you can even do is try and fake what direction your going. Which most of the time just extends the loop rather then doing anything
So basically you just run through like a robot, the most boring possible gameplay you can get. This map was not designed well at all
-
@megdonalds said:
Biggest disadvantage of Corrupt is that you have only 3 perks left when its time is over. Regarding Ruin you have at least the possibility to protect the totem and it can last even to the end of the match.
If competent survivors know where it is
It's going down. Either way your left with 3 slots I prefer the consistency of Corrupt far more then Ruin

I'm just going to start saving up Scratched Mirror add ons and Lery offerings and send them all there
No more Object, no more spine chill, only fear
