  • Some people are just douchebags and go out of their way to make their opponents unhappy, one of those ways is to deny them blood points. Both Survivors and Killers are like that.

As for those who rush gens, they don't care about blood points, they care more about winning and proving they're better than you.

i get that your mad but why to you feel the need to make a post about it get go and take your toxicity with you. Honestly though...

Would you please quote all the toxic content that the OP has posted? I went back to reread it and I couldn't discover any of the toxicity that you mention.

Expand your 1 match experience to months playing at rank 1 against the good 4-swf teams, that know the drill. They all play the same, they all do the same things, its always the same against those sweatsquads. You gotta warm up, put on your sweatshirt, remove all feelings of mercy and play flawlessly for a CHANCE at winning. Its rarely going to be fun and the most toxic players usually attract each other and make 12 year old 4-swf squads.

Thats my experience with 4-swf. Yes there are good games among them and normal buddys playing with each other. I love playing against 2x swfs. But 4-swfs are rarely buddys, they're just random toxic people grouping up.

What you talking about at rank 1? These days all you have to do as a killer is get to rank 12-14 to get matched against rank 1-4.

  • You aren't obligated to. People that die will be salty no matter what, just learn how to feed on their salt, it pairs well with a rib-eye steak and steamed broccoli.

  • Whispers

    Self-Care

  • They won't. It is my number one complaint about this game and after multiple weekends of consistently getting matched against people who out rank me by 6-7 ranks I have just decided to uninstall. No, I don't want to get better, I just want to have some fun. It isn't fun for a 6th grader to be matched against and Olympic level athlete, nor is it fun for me getting matched against a group of Survivors who greatly out rank me and know the map like the back of their hand.

Heck, it isn't fun when I play survivor and have all rank 15-20 paired up with me hiding in the bushes or corners. I like to play games for fun - not to sweat, and thought I'd give the Devs a chance to fix some things, but with the new information on the next patch, and how long it is taking them to fix matchmaking (which should be their top priority), I don't have much faith in them. Too many other developers out there to give a shot. For those who remain, hopefully the game gets better for you.

Fare the well other members of the Fog!

Gorgon killer with mori animation turning the survivor into stone and then shattering them? Yes please.

I would like something like the Medusa from Clash of the Titans:

But less scales from the waist and above. Tired of ugly killers, give me a semi-sexy one that likes to show it. Daddy-Michael is nice, but even his Hospital Gown isn't enough. They have to make her lower torso as a snakes body, which would probably be too much work for them.

  • I want a scary Mermaid that has to use her arms to drag her body around. When she approaches you, you hear her tail slapping on the ground and her hands digging into the mud, clawing her way to you. She should also leave a trail of water/slime behind her.

  • Survivors would quit en masse if the Devs forced them to have a First Person View. It will never happen, the ensuing salt would rival the sand of the Sahara Desert.

I will just put the image with a few line, you can figure it out.

Im used to the toxic, didnt touch my nerve.

I figured it out its going to be toxic with 3 Flashlight and 1 following me clicking. Still tried to play nice by not tunneling the 1st hooked. This is what I got. I may need your advice how to play dirty.

Advice on how to play dirty:

You should bring in a Mori if they bring in multiple items. Screw Franklin's Demise, Mori those turds! If you don't have a Mori, Devour Hope is nice if you get lucky enough that the totem spawns in a good spot, but the Dev responsible for totem locations obviously hates killers. DH is best with very mobile killers that can get to it fast in order to defend it.

Don't chase the person that wants you to chase them, break off within 15-20 seconds of chasing them if they are obviously going towards a strong loop. It takes time to get an idea where the strong loops are. Never ever take the bait when they flashlight click or t-bag in order to aggravate you, that is what they want. When you don't chase them, they usually follow you while you chase someone else.

Don't play a weak killer. Spirit, Freddy and Billy are the top choices right now.

Play a camping Killer like Hag, Bubba and even Wraith. You can cloak and camp with Wraith and wait for their teammate to unhook them to bypass Borrowed Time and then uncloak right after. Just be warned that Wraith is only decent with good add-ons.

Bring in NoEd, these days Survivors are in too much of a hurry to do gens even if a totem is staring them in the face while they're busy pushing M1.

Do not play by their rules. The second you figure out who the weakest one is, tunnel them out of the match. If their friend unhooks them in front of you then they most likely have Borrowed Time, which(I think) lasts up to 20 seconds at tier 3. Do not hit the unhooked for those 20 seconds, just follow them, hitting them will give them a sprint burst. Many of them will stand there, or try to get in your way if you go for the unhooker to act as a shield, don't fall for it.

Always assume that survivors have Decisive Strike. It gives them a chance to stab you if you pick them up after they got unhooked for up to 60 seconds- so slug them until the time is up.

Make Your Choice is also good for Billy, Hag or Spirit since you can go away from the hook for it to activate and rush right back the second they unhook.

Disclaimer: I don't encourage you to always play like this, but if it is obvious that they're out to make you as miserable as possible, beat them to death with their made up rule book. Not all Survivors are toxic, but with how matchmaking is these days, you need to be prepared for it.

  • Dear Survivors,

Do not listen to the wretched original poster of this thread. The goal of any Survivor is to rescue their teammate no matter the situation. You are required to end your teammates suffering if you are capable to do so, even if the Killer is still about! You mustn't question the situation for the Entity will whisper doubts into your heart and lead you astray to your ultimate doom! It is imperative for you to cease all actions the moment the Killer renders one of your teammates immobile and you must rush to the scene and follow the Killer, taunting them with the clicking of your electronic light emitting devices while you follow them into the dungeon. There is no reason to even equip any perk to succeed in the challenge that the Entity forces upon you, for the Entity has given Survivors a saving grace - If you crouch and cease all movement, you will be rendered invisible to the Killer!

Amazing you say that! Ninja Gaiden on the original Xbox is my favourite game. Still the best in that genre imo. Even later stuff like Bayonetta and the recent Devil May Cry's weren't as good.

Some game play video was in my YouTube feed and it brought back so many good memories! It really is my all time favorite 3rd person action game. Bayonetta was decent and I love DMC but I still think the first is the best, and still not better than Ninja Gaiden. Too bad Tecmo had a fallout with Tomonobu Itagaki, he was the main reason why it was so good.

  • Just curious on details, seems like you described the situation, but I can't find it.

Agree. Its not the same but just ordered Hunt Showdown for PS4. It looks pretty good. Might be my new multiplayer go to game...

I wish I had more varied tastes when it came to gaming. I am not a fan of first person games, infact, Dbd is the only game I can handle it with. All other ones give me a headache for some reason. I am hoping for a new 3rd person action game with the quality of the Ninja Gaiden series that came out on the original xbox. I havent played a game that i enjoyed more than it.

There is a game that Monto’s played a few times although I’m not sure how it compares to dbd, as I’ve never played it. I think it’s called Last Year but I think there’s a lot less to it compared to dbd so I just stick with dbd.

Yea, it looks interesting. I have watch Ohmwrecker and Monto playing it but it just doesn't seem as fun. I already have all of my survivors leveled to 50 and once my killers are as well, I'll be taking a vacation from Dbd and trying out Last Year and Monster Hunter. Hopefully, when I come back, things would be more fresh and less tedious.

  • I am assuming the website was being DDOS attacked and this is something the devs implemented to prevent the site from going down. I am not sure though.

  • Urban Evasion - I like to dodge people

Sprint Burst - need to use it every time I consume dairy or coffee

    That is about it

Exactly my point. But ya the game in general is in a much better spot like I mentioned earlier @LoverOfDemogorgon. I’m not Debating that. I played the game from the start. But I’m now having much less fun with the game in the state it’s in now than I ever did back then.

I think it’s mainly because wait times means I’ve to wait forever to get games and then after waiting near 15 minutes I have a chance of getting a trash game or a SWF. If I didn’t have to wait so long before games maybe I wouldn’t care so much about it all.

Just pray that another company comes out with a good game that directly competes with Dbd. Behavior needs a fire lit under their buts to improve things and if they don't at least we have other games.

  • I came into this thread thinking Feng was getting a playboy bunny costume.

For killers each totem should have a unique colored perk icon that matches the flame of the totem.

You are wrong here. Its not playing with only 3 perks at all. Cleansing all 5 totems takes 80 seconds, this is 1 gen without a toolbox. This is a slowdown comparable to old ruin.

Also, by "It doesnt require effort" I meant that a killer that does nothing all game (eg camps first foumd person the whole time) gets the same effect from NOED as killer who played well (eg got 8 hooks).

If you could use NOED only on people you have hooked before, then it would be fine.

You don't have to cleanse them by yourself, you're part of a group and your entire group should be on the look out during the entire match.

Heck, you don't even have to cleanse totems during the match, you can wait for the gens to be completed and play sneaky while you search for a lit totem. You don't have to cleanse them all, it is just better that you do.

You have options, very easy options, and with how fast gens go, you have no reason to complain about doing totems. If you have a complaint, it shouldn't be with NoEd or the Killer choosing to run it, it should be with you and your lazy or potato teammates.

  • They long in order to give us time for a snack or potty break.

I think Zarina's model looks better than her still image. She's not that bad looking, not exactly my type but she's certainly unique looking compared to the rest of the females.

I don't like the look of Deathslinger however. His look just doesn't strike fear into me at all. He looks like some guy in a goofy cowboy outfit trying to be spookyyyyy. But to me he just looks silly. Kind of looks like he belongs in another game. If you like cowboys you'll probably like him, but to me he just isn't worthy imo of being added to the set of killers we currently have.

I think the extra skins he will come with will make it better with different colors. He still looks a little too human. I agree that Zarinas model is better than her still image. Didn't like her until I saw her model.

100% agree. Also would love to see the gentlemen added! Definitely a zero terror radius killer!

They really could do a Teen Wolf chapter if they wanted, but I don't think it would be that popular with the game since it really wasn't horror themed. I hope they steal some ideas from it tho.

Also put with good ranks too for survivor but facing a few too many rank 20 killers.

I saw someone DC at the start of the match against Monto because they couldn't handle getting harpooned first.

    Power:

Realm disortion:Allow to the killer to put black areas. When a survivor is on the Terror radius and close to the area its activates and block it. Same as the entity blocking windows but certain area like close to a pallet.

If the area is close to a survivor near a gen you can see survivor aura during 5 secs and teleport directly to that area In that case black area are destroyed in that case that survivor gen a cue notification.

You can only put 10 black areas.

Seek suffering: Each time you enter in a chase you gain a 3%/4%/5% Haste speed per 20 secs Can only be activated each 40 secs.

Dreadful presence: Your mere presence make tremble the heart of your victims. When a survivor is healing or reapiring they will face a very difficult skillcheck if they fail 10% of the progress will be lost and you can see the aura of the survivor during 5 secs. Can be triggered each 40 secs.

Hope fades: Survivors chance of escape are but a glimplse. Each time a survivor is hooked get a token All survivors get a 5% penalty per token repairing till that survivor is rescued.

    Survivor :Benedict Baker

Know your enemy: Being in the fog for a long time gave you some information about your enemy At the start of the trial you will see the aura of the killer during 1/2/3 secs.

Together will survive: Each time you finish an coop action you will see the aura of the other survivor during 30 and secs. Effect doesnt apply if the survivor is inside the terror radius.

There was an old meme about Nea being the Entity. There was some kind of bug with her model that really warped it. Watch Saminations Dbd parody on YouTube to see how hot and powerful she is.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/956/RPW9NAUDLBMF.jpg

    So some context:

Match starts against an Oni killer. Oni starts slugging everyone, uses nurses calling to find anyone that gets healed and he also uses the knock out perk so it's harder to see each other easily. It's Oni's map, so it's even harder to spot where your teammates are dying without their dying auras. One gen is complete at this point.

I get picked up and work on a gen until I realise he's slugging my whole team. I'm a Claudette main but I don't play immersive, crouching and locker hiding etc. I save my teammates, I do gens and I try to avoid killer contact but I'm not afraid to do so since I get boldness points to help me pip. As you can see I don't run 'meta' perks.

So my whole team dying, I have no choice but to be immersive and pick up my team by trying my best to find them. Why would I (like an idiot) run around looking for them and leaving scratch marks so that the killer finds me before I can find my team? So clearly, I stayed hidden and picked up my team, he continued downing and slugging. I got rid of the ruin. I completed another gen with my teammate and another after that by myself. Everyone eventually died on the ground. I was the last one with 2 gens left. I managed to fool the Oni and got a gate open (I was lucky that they didn't spawn next to each other). I didn't teabag, I just opened the gate and left.

I message in chat that I was confused and how strange the match was (no insults). The killer complains it was a boring match and calls me an immersive f***. I make it clear to him that it was his fault, I mean I wouldn't have had to be immersive if he didn't slug my whole team, that's what made the match boring lol. After this he continues how I'm trash, lack skill and hide in lockers all game.

I finished with only 14K points since well, I couldn't unhook anyone and be in a chase with him since I was the only survivor that was injured and the rest were on the ground. Somehow I still got 4 gold emblems, no idea how. Either way, just a story I thought I'd share. Entitlement is strong within this one.

TL;DR - Killer forces me to play in a style I don't like and he doesn't like. He then proceeds to complain about how I played despite him slugging whole team forced me to do so. Entitlement is strong within this one.

(Nothing against killers, just only this one and even then, kept my decency while he went on a mad one lol).

Killer was butthurt that he didn't get a 4k as fast as he wanted. Just another entitled player.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

+1 but the same could be said for the killers that say stuff like looping is toxic gen rush is toxic and stuff like that , like why would I follow the rule book of other players

Looping isn't toxic, gen rushing isn't either. Looping is a bit overpowered on some maps, but that isn't the fault of the Survivor. Gen rushing isn't toxic either, it's one of their main objectives, but Survivors who choose to only do generators are at fault when they get hit by NoEd.

The only things I consider toxic that Survivors do it t-bag, flashlight click and repeatedly vault something, use the stupid "hook tech", intentionally sandbag their teammate, farm a teammate, or betray their teammate by trying to out their hiding location.

It is a two bladed sword when we talk about not telling people how to play. It goes for the toxic hit squad SWF group as well.

Personally, I'd rather see people play as if they were in the same room as the stranger. I'm more of a sportsman and I treat my opponent in a VIDEO GAME as if they are humans trying to have fun, just like I am. I don't expect that level of human decency online though. It is just not there when one hides behind a monitor.

my post is above this, i forgot to quote u.

  • Correct, Killers can't tell Survivors how to play, it isn't as if the Survivor will listen to them, so why should Killers listen to them? Both sides just need to get better or just learn to put up with it, neither has a right to dictate the others play-style.

I hate toxicity on both sides, but since the devs allow it, nothing will change.

  • @Warlock_2020 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1099885#Comment_1099885

I know it can be hard to hear this at times, but most of the killers on this forum are not very good. Seriously, most survivors are not either.

I play red ranks as Trapper mostly. I'm colorblind to the point that I can't see blood pools on any outdoor mape, nor can I see scratch Mark's on any map. I hunt by anticipation and learning survivor tendencies. I have zero problem getting 3-4k in 90% of my matches. I don't even consider myself to be very good compared to really good killers.

When I watch other killers who post their "gens are to fast" vids I can see upwards of 12 mistakes they make in the first 60 seconds of a match. Whether it is mi d gaming at the wrong time, chasing too long after the first hit on strong loops, yet hearing a nearby gen being repaired. Ignoring nearly complete gens in order to follow a survivor to a dead zone where no gens are, etc, etc.

I got good advice from a streamer once and decided to let myself learn. I got pummeled for more than a month, but started seeing changes in my matches. Shortened chases, a lot more snowball matches, etc.

Camping is flatly the dumbest plan if that is what you are doing from the start. It 100% depends on dumb play by survivors. I've found most killers I've experienced playiing that way are after salt. They don't care about pips, bp, just salt. If you are using camping as a main plan, start recording your matches and try critiquing your mistakes. You will find yourself doing mutch better without a weak plan.

The point isn't whether or not camping is a good strategy or not, it's about telling Killers how they should play. I agree that most players play poorly, but no player has any inherent right to tell someone else how to play. It isn't the job of a Killer to make sure that everything they do satisfies the Survivor, especially when Survivors never consider if they're making the game fun for the Killer.

Since camping is dumb and ineffective, the Survivors that hate it just need to go watch some videos of good streamers, or record themselves so they can see their own mistakes, and get better at evading or looping the Killer. Then they would rise in ranks and not have to deal with it.

  • @Warlock_2020 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1099215#Comment_1099215

See, this is part of the toxic process in this game. Sorry, but camping the whole match is toxic and a horrible plan considering it relies on the survivors to be dumb. If they are smart, they hit gens and move on.

I've seen you post before and you seem to be a nice person. It baffles me that you don't see how toxic and unhealthy camping is for the game. I know 10 people that I got to play who quit specifically because they were tired of being in a camper match so often.

Both sides have toxic behavior. Hardcore camping is one, and I don't support it at all. I think it takes a very selfish, and spiteful person to use that play style. Camping has its place, for sure, but from the first hook with no swarm or toxicity? No, just childish.

It is these types of things that keep thos game from growing its player base to the point that new modes can be put in. This game will forever linger on without seeing its potential due to the toxic play styles it permits and endorses.

With how fast gens pop, it is already really difficult for a Killer to catch any decent Survivor worth their salt. By the time a Killer gets their first hook there are usually 3 generators that have been completed. If a Killer has trouble with the first catch, why would they leave them only to get looped again and again? Unless the Killer is really good at mind games, the easier option would be to protect the hook and wait for the teammates. If they caught the Survivor super early into the match, like say 30 seconds from entering, then that is the fault of the survivor for getting caught. It would mean their teammates are probably stronger at looping, and it would make better sense to not waste time and get the weaker one out of the match faster. You say it is a bad strategy, but more often than not, when I play survivor, I see my teams rush the hook every time the Killer hooks someone.

If games were longer, I can see how toxic camping could be, but they go by way too fast. Low tier killers don't have many options, and Survivors have no right to dictate how a Killer player plays. Sure, blatant face-camping a survivor while slashing their hanging body is toxic, but you can't ask the developers to force Killers to stop playing certain strategy because a few people over do it.

The complaints of camping is overblown on the forums. I have over 500 hours in this game now, most of those hours was playing Survivor, and most of them with the most hated character P3 Claudette (Didn't know she was hated as much as she is), and I haven't been camped anywhere near as much as players are saying they are (Unless it happens at red ranks, I only made it to rank 5 and started playing killer more). Maybe 1 out of 6 games, and that is usually at the half way mark. If your 10 friends couldn't handle pvp in this game, then pvp doesn't suit them since camping happens throughout online gaming.

Camping is in control of the Survivors. You want to punish the Killer, don't rush hooks, learn how to take note of pallet and vault locations and get better at looping. You can't get camped if you don't get caught.

If the game fails, it isn't the fault of the survivors or killers, it fails because Behavior has failed at keeping the game fun.

This is what I’ve started doing; just doesn’t help if I’m their one kill.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1098884#Comment_1098884

You are skipping past my point that it ruins gameplay; as in makes the match less fun whether the devs intended it or not. Knowing that the devs intended it as a style of game play makes it less irritating, like barely, but at least I can see where some of the roots of this ridiculous tactic comes from.

You’re only thinking about yourself. Camping makes the game un-fun for you, not the Killer. The killer may enjoy camping, especially if Survivors keep throwing themselves at the killer. Just because you don’t like something doesn’t mean it is bad or unenjoyable for others.

Why should the Killer, whose goal is to kill Survivors, care about making the game more fun for you? If you entered a match and saw a lit totem within the first 15 seconds, would you not cleanse it? Of course you would, it would most likely make your objective easier. You wouldn’t consider how the Killer would feel that you completely disabled one of their perks for the whole match, would you? No, you probably wouldn’t.

Are there rules in the game that require the Killer to leave the hook, or to chase Survivors and allow them to constantly loop them? Nope there are not. Killers are not your playthings where you get to dictate how they play. You do what you want in a match and they will do what they want.

Want a solution so you don’t have to deal with camping? Learn how to evade the killer! Learn how to loop better! Make yourself a less desirable target! If you get better at looping, you can waste a Killers time for most of a match.

Perk 2: Teleport- Instantly teleports the Killer to the front of the nearest survivor within 25 meters. 60 second cool-down.

Perk 3: Incendiary Touch- Causes one Survivor to catch fire. Survivor will not be hurt but only be slowed by the flames and any other Survivor to come in contact with them will get damaged.
