I am the type that wants to make friends and do gens and cleanse hex totems and open the gates so no one has to die. Well as long as the survivors are Shirtless Davids.
-
That's a Claudette main trying a new character.
-
Because he’s a feisty boi.

I’m in the the state of Misery and it varies between instant to 5 minutes. I hover around ranks 4-6.

When I see anything about survivor toxicity, it usually is as a badge of honor, at least when I talk to survivor focused players. That kinda is an issue.
Also, survivor mains (the whiny toxic ones) are the ones that got nurse nerfed and spirit nerfed because they dont loop like lobotomized chickens during a chase. They are also the ones complaining about the removal of god windows. Its a very small minority essentially dictating the changes, which is another problem for the game.
But they are no worse than Killers who camp from the start of a match just to be a douche. I do believe Survivors have more toxic people, only because they have a larger pool of players.

He has a lot going for him. He can teleport all over the map, heck he can juke the teleports and cause suvivors to abandon them and run right into him. The dream realm is annoying and it's a pain in the ass to run across the map to wake up, and his slowdown mechanics just drag on the match.
It would make it slightly less annoying to have two wake up clocks on the map.

The sound's been broken for years now. All they do is push out new content and then pump the store with cosmetics for it
I never said they were perfect, I just don't think they're completely incompetent. If I could have power over them, I'd force them to rewrite the games code and work out all the bugs. Unfortunately, it isn't going to happen. Let us just hope this game gets more popular, catches the eyes of other studios and gives rise to some much needed competition.

Oh gtfo yourself “god loops” is a phrase used by ######### killers......... it’s simple, trapper, trap those windows.. spirit, mind games, Myers or ghost face, use deathslinger pull the subito to the window and hit him through it...
Right, that's why the Devs are currently looking at them and reworking maps, because they weren't abused and they were super hard for survivors to run.

DBD doesn't deserve Jason in it's current state
I will admit, I was frustrated with DbD a few months ago, but its current state isn't as bad as people make it out to be. The Devs have been making strides to make the game more balanced. They're just slower at it than most would like. I think it would do the game good if new Chapters were spread out further apart and they focus on ironing out bugs, hit boxes and latency.

Can you suggest to the Devs in charge of item models to change the broken key model to an actual broken key. I hate drawing the ire of a Killer because they think I may have a fully functional key.

Yeah I see. You do not want to understand anything. Players like you make this game so frustrating and unhealthy. I do not intend to recall what I said before for your bad excuses that were discussed thousands of tie before and non of your kind will ever accept that thexre wrong. Youre biased to the bone, like i said before.
None of my reasoning were excuses or bad. I don't make this game unhealthy or frustrating. It is players like you who refuse to get better at the game or admit that you are just not a very good player that ruin this game. I am far from biased, I just state it like it is. I would be the first to admit I am not very good at this game, but I am under no delusions that the Developers should change it to fit my needs, nor will I ever require my opponents to play how I want them to play.
I played both sides, and now I play Solo Survivor exclusively (Killer was just more stress than it was worth). I am far from being biased and I am smart enough to realize that most of the time, when the Killers my group faces gets a 3-4k, its due to the lack of skill we have, not because they're overpowered (Unless they're a Pro-Nurse or Spirit). Most survivors lose because they've been out played. You are just an entitled player who refuses to admit you have low skill and want things to change to make it easier for you. Solo Sucks not because of the Killers, but because teammates are bad at the game, hide half the time, perform unhooks in front of the Killer, are over confident in their abilities, or just want to sandbag everyone.
Heck, your response is enough for me to know that you have nothing intelligent or worthwhile to add to the discussion, you just don't want to admit you're wrong.

Honestly, someone with this skin approached me while I was on a gen and scared the poop out of me. I thought it was Legion for a second.

2 man swf + 2 man swf are still generally easy games. Nothing overpowered about those.
Lucky you but I see far more killers bringing their OP builds. Not to mention as killer you can dodge any lobby you dont like the look of, survivors can’t.
To be fair, when I use to play killer, I liked to try out different builds, feel bad for a survivor and pretend I didn't see them healing behind a tree, and just take it easy. Then matchmaking decided to make me suffer over and over and I kept getting matched against rank 1-6 swf while I was rank 12-14. It doesn't help that most of those swfs were as toxic as they could possibly be. So I can understand why Killers choose to play with their most powerful builds. That just isn't for me and I rather just play solo survivor since its more laid back.

Tunneling: I dont want to get tunneled, so I should loop the killer? Makes no sense to do what i am forced unto.
Camping: I dont want to be camped, so i run kindred, what doesnt benefit me on the hook at all, cause i am still on the hook and the killer is still here waiting. I am unable to do anything in this game just hanging on the hook.
Slugging: Unbreakable works once. And yeah makes sense to get picked up by a mate and being sluged again cause obviously the killers still on for slugging again and again.
YOURE UNLOGICAL.
First of all, the word you are looking for is "Illogical".
Second of all, you fail to show how I am being illogical once again.
-Tunneling: It makes sense for the Killer to go after the weakest link. Just because you don't want to be tunneled doesn't make it a bad strategy. Sure, it isn't fun for the one getting tunneled, but in no way, shape or form does a Killer owe you time to heal up so you can go do objectives. You don't like getting tunneled? Bring in DS, bring in an instant heal med-kit, and be aware of your surroundings, ready to loop the killer just in case they're going to come back to you after you get unhooked. If your teammate preforms an unsafe unhook, that isn't the Killers fault, it's your teammates.
-Camping: You are not entitled to matches going your way in every game. Kindred is to help your team do the objectives. Yes, it is boring for the one being camped, but if more and more people stopped falling for it, less killers would be inclined to do it. It won't happen over night, but in the end, the amount of Killers who camp will lessen unless they're diehard Basement Bubbas who only have joy from making others miserable. I do think the Devs will rework him in a future update to lessen his camp potential. You also have Borrowed Time that can help.
-Slugging: Same strategy as tunneling. Get better at looping and have the Killer chase you to the other side of the map. Anytime I see a greedy slugging Killer, I have them chase me as far away from the slugged survivors as possible. I don't even have to loop them, just run through and around obstacles in a straight path. By the time I get downed, those that were slugged have had enough time to get up as long as it was only two people down. If three people got downed, then that is the fault of the Survivors, not the Killers. And before you say its a scummy tactic, the Devs gave us the perk Infectious Fright that promotes this style of play, so slugging is working as intended.
All you keep repeating is that since you don't like something, it needs to be changed. You fail to give a reason why it needs to be changed. You also fail to give good alternatives. All in all, you just refuse to get better at the game and want it changed to suit you rather than you change how you play. It doesn't work that way.

How does anything you said counters those cheap plays? It all makes no sense.
You have failed to explain how they don't.
Killer tunneling? Loop them, waste their time. You have plenty of perks to help and you have teammates to help. You could also bring in items such as a med-kit with a syringe to prolong the chase. If you can't waste their time, then you're just not that good.
Killer camping? Run Kindred. Camping works because your teammates rush hooks like moths to a flame. If solo survivors did gens rather than get caught by a camper, camping would be less common, though I do admit that Leatherface is a problem.
Slugging becoming too common? Unbreakable lets you pick yourself up, you can also be picked up by a teammate.
The problem isn't the Killers employing these tactics, the problem is with Survivors failing to counter them properly. Everyone who complains about these tactics just don't want to admit that they're just not good at this game. This isn't to say that the Killers who employ these tactics are good either, but if the Killer wins matches like this, why should they change?

You do not even understand the difference of playing this game like its designed, and playing the game to annoy others. Killer biased as hell.
Not biased at all. I don't like to get tunneled, camped or moried after first hook, but I am not going to blame the Killer. The reason for my deaths are more often than not due to my own poor skills. If I ran better perks and was able to loop and mind game better, I wouldn't be an attractive target for the Killer.
Tunneling is countered by being better at looping and teamwork.
Camping is countered by running kindred and rushing gens, it also helps if you are good at looping so you could waste the killers time as much as possible before they have a chance to camp you.
Slugging is countered by Unbreakable as well as teamwork.
You complain about those three things and they are all easily countered. You and everyone else who complains about it are just bad at the game. It is 4 vs 1, if the 4 worked with each other played optimally, the majority of the team would survive. The Killer doesn't owe you an easy game, nor are they required to play by your rules.

I completely agree. If it says anything, I've actually been playing solo survivor (rank 1) to chill out and have fun testing random perks and item + addon combos. Killer can be nerve-wracking for me, especially in the higher ranks due to the obscene amount of SWF groups. That combined with generators going so fast, resulting in the game lasting MAYBE 5 minutes, just makes for stressful gameplay. I don't even worry about the map I'm on as survivor, since good teammates usually negate any advantage that the killer might have on certain maps!
I'm not asking for the **Big 4k In 5 Minutes**, I just want enjoyable games as killer where I can actually chase someone for more than 15 seconds without hearing 2 gens pop off at the same time behind my back!
Yea, that's why I haven't touched killer since like a month after the Ruin change. Kept getting matched against players who outrank me and gens flying by just increased pressure. I only play solo survivor now, but I suffer because I like Claudette and Killers seem to want to mori me first or my teammates are a bunch of mobile bushes.
-
If I could do this I would remove all Freddy, Billy and Spirit files from my PC, but it doesn't work that way. Really thinking outside the box here.
-
Yes I am serious. Both sides have things they hate from the other side, stop being so biased.

Who cares for teabagging and pointing of survivors? You can just ignore it. The issue are killers that just tunnel, camp, slug and use the most frustrating builds and offerings. This cannot be ignore and just genetates frustration. But devs like to keep a blind eye to this.
Ah, so its okay for survivors to do their best to annoy killers in any way they can and abuse god loops, but if a killer does things that you don't like, it needs to be fixed.
And fyi, Survivors do more than t-bagging and pointing. Pallet stunning then blinding is very frustrating for killers, so is saboing a hook in the killers face, as well as multiple body blocking, and aggressive unhooking that confuses the killer with who may have DS. But yea, it is only survivors who suffer.
-
I see the same amount of toxicity on both sides in game and out.

Do you know the answer to helping solo players is not just make everything baseline right
I am not asking for everything to be baseline. I asked that two perks be considered to become baseline. If Self Care became baseline, it would give rise to the possibility that players would run Botany Knowledge in order to increase healing speed, which would shorten the time teammates would hide in a corner to heal. Or maybe it would encourage them to use perks that would better benefit the team, such as Kindred.
Urban Evasion, while not necessary, would be nice as base kit since I won't have to watch a Claudette inch towards me at a snails pace and let me get to second stage on a hook.
What I suggest wouldn't be game breaking at all. Anyways, the purpose of this thread was for people to come up with ideas other than mine, so thanks for not contributing.

Hey killer mains you know how you are always complaining about SWF? Well guess what, when a solo survivor goes down to NOED, you're just making more sweaty SWF players who will get on discord and break your totems :)
Which will take Survivors off of generators and give Killers some more time. So working as intended. Works even better if the Killer doesn't use NoEd.

The “Not So Tropical” Origins of Hawaiian Pizza
ALL TOPICSJULY 11, 2018 AUTHOR: ALEX HUGHES

- SHARE!
No single food item stirs opposing opinions like the Hawaiian Pizza. Does pineapple really belong on pizza? This pizza’s combination of ham, bacon, pineapple and cheese on top of dough and tomato sauce divides people like no other food item. You either love it or you hate it!
These dividing camps between the pro-pineapple and anti-pineapple factions have even reached the political realm. In 2017, President of Iceland, Guðni Th. Jóhannesson, expressed his disdain for the Hawaiian Pizza, saying that if he had the power to pass the law, he would ban pineapple on pizza in Iceland. Following the Iceland incident, Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau took to twitter and said, “I have a pineapple. I have a pizza. And I stand behind this delicious creation.” Why would the Prime Minister of Canada defend Hawaiian Pizza, we all know that Hawaii isn’t in Canada!
Pineapple on pizza originated in the small town of Chatham, Ontario, Canada, far from the beaches of Hawaii that have become the namesake for the dish. It was restaurant owner and chef, Sam Panopoulos at his restaurant, Satellite Restaurant who has been given credit for being the Father of the Hawaiian Pizza. The Satellite Restaurant primarily offered American dishes like cheeseburgers, but expanded their offerings to Chinese-American cuisine, and eventually pizza, in the 1960s.
The mass popularity of pizza in North America is often credited to returning servicemen from the Second World War who had sampled the dish in Italy. Pizza grew as a restaurant offering in Canada in the late 1950s, and by the 1960s speciality pizzerias had caught on. In 1962, Panopoulos added canned pineapple to pizzas in his restaurant, and the taste quickly caught on with his customers.
Why Panopoulos added canned pineapple to pizza remains a mystery. Perhaps he made a mistake in the kitchen, perhaps he was a culinary visionary or perhaps he was sadist hell-bent on ruining pizza.
In my opinion, Panopoulos was riding the wave of Tiki culture that had exploded around the world in the late 1950s and early 1960s following 1959 Hawaiian statehood. The tropical lifestyle was popularized, as people fell in love with the romanticized exotic culture. Tiki themed restaurants, with Tiki-drinks such as the Zombie and Mai Tai were quite popular. At the same time, both canned pineapple and pineapple juice production and exports had expanded from both Hawaii and the Philippines. Not only had the tropical culture exploded onto the scene, tropical foods like pineapple were now widely available.
The Hawaiian Pizza, with it’s unlikely Canadian origins, quickly spread across North America and can now be found in many pizzerias and frozen food sections. Although the Hawaiian pizza expanded from its origins in Canada, the division between pineapple pizza lovers and haters rapidly grew. In a survey conducted for this blog, 58% of respondents said pineapple belongs on pizza, while 42% held distain for the combination. Which camp do you belong to?
[Hope this helps clear the air]
Also Pineapple on pizza all day EVERYDAY!
I knew about the pineapple pizza, I just thought there was something funny that involved Behavior and pineapples.
Also, some pineapple on pizza is okay.
-
Someone mind explaining the reference? I feel lost.
Also, Pineapple belongs with Coconut .

I dont think anybody is saying killing god loops is an issue.
What people are saying is that killers have got a lot of what they wanted the past year. Toolboxes nerfed, god loops fixed, maps shrunk, instaheals nerfed.
Thats all great. It makes killer more enjoyable.
However now maybe something has to be done for survivor. Camp/tunnel:noed strategy needs to go. Its used in the vast majority of games and ruins the experience for many people. Likewise some killer add ons could be nerfed just like instaheals were (looking at you iri head + infantry belt)
I agree that camping and tunneling are a big problem that needs to be looked at, but I disagree that NoEd is a problem. It has an easy counter that many survivors choose to ignore.
-
I would if it was on PC. I'm not a fan of phone games except for Clash Royale or Mario Run.
-
I play solo because I am forever alone, so I depend on Spine Chill, Self Care and Urban Evasion.
If I venture into Killer, Whispers is a must, and I really love hearing people scream due to Iron Maiden.

Chucky. He’s small though, could you imagine how OP that would be getting chased by him when his height falls just below that of the debris on most of these maps? 😂😂 also, his ability is that He would be able to teleport to or gain control of dolls placed around the map? Since im pretty sure that’s what he does in the movies?
He should be able to climb over things and launch himself at survivors while cackling. Imagine the look on a survivors face when they’re heading towards the shack and Chucky launches himself from the roof at their face!
-
The only thing I want changed with Freddy is to have an extra clock on the map. It’s such a pain in the butt to run across the entire map to wake up.
-
Upstairs porch/deck is higher, at least I think it is. I was just on that map 2 seconds ago, now I have to confirm.

Yes, it is normal, Devs have said they're working on a new system, we'll see how that goes.
As for you being new, I recommend you play Survivor. You will have less stress than playing killer and learn the game from a Survivors point of view, making you a better Killer in the future. Before you delve into Killer, pick one that you like and pour blood points into them using your Survivor to farm. It'll make it easier.
-
I don't own him, but tried him out with an offering. Hes not easy to play, I have a lot of respect for players who play him and do well without camping.
And if he is hiding in the basement and catches me because I'm greedy for the chest, I'm not gonna be mad at him.

-
OoO means survivor is most likely in a good swf with coms. It also means they are all confidant in their looping skills. The moment you see that they have it, you should either tunnel the crap out of the OoO user, if you don't think you can keep up with them, do what I do and just hide in the basement and protect your chest, its not worth the stress. They're looking to have fun at your expense, don't fall for it. Do the opposite of what they want you to do.
-
For a second there I thought this was a Survivor complaining about the music, so insert "you got me with the first half, not gonna lie meme".
They should just lower the volume for killers, not out right remove the music.
-
You need to ignore people when they say they're reporting you. They're just butt hurt that you looped and juked them multiple times.
-
Devs have already stated they’re working on a new matchmaking system with hidden ranking that should fix this.
We just don’t know how long it will take.
