We'll be announcing the date and time pretty soon. Keep an eye out for the announcement.
(I need fingerguns that I can use on the forums.)
Thank you!
And yeah, but the Twitter Post is about the Live Q&A tomorrow. ^^

Its been said many times that there will be and update sometime today with a time and day or something of the sort. Its just a waiting game right now
Can you link me where they said something about it?
-
As Killer, yes. Got stuck in a wall for a short time today and got stuck on a slugged Survivor today.
But as Survivor, I dont get stuck.

They removed her collision with survivors, but yet she can still collide with walls,pallets, and everything else in her way... Now how in the hell does that make sense? Are survivors ghosts now? 😂😂
I dont think that removing Spirits Collision with Objects would be good idea (to be consistent). At least I see myself falling through the world or getting Stuck in a bunch of Tires way too often when thinking about that, lol.

Any plans on brightening the map? It is SUPER dark.
Killers: It is a Horror Game, people should be scared!
Also Killers: Its too dark, I am scared. :(
The Lightning on the Map is fine. I have no problem with it. More a problem with the sounds tbh...
-
Oh, btw. the Dark Sense Challenge is still meant to be on the Gen when it is completed. Which is easy. Got it with 5 Gens a few days ago.

Then what can it do in that situation?
i mean right after the second unhook.
the killer had already in a chase and hit the survivor in 30SEC.
And the killer wasn't tunnal but try to force out other survivor from doing gen in 3:22.
and maybe try to down the survivor in next 40SEC
but what happen?
5GENS done.
What can the killer did in that situation?
Is spending 30~40SEC to find a survivor and get 1 hit too slow?
I don't think so.
I would say git gud.
But I know, this is only allowed from Killers if Survivors complain. If Survivors are free to do Gens, they do Gens. Simple as that.
-
Ah, dont worry. People will cry that they are too hard and then they will get changed eventually.
-
Of course the DC Penalties will not change anything. People who thought they would are simply not thinking ahead.
-
Most frustrating game was probably DayZ. I did not get that much into it, trying to play it with a friend, but starting thirsty, having rely on RNG to find something, not being able to find each other, getting killed by some guys when I have nothing... Nah, I will probably never touch it again.
Hardest game 100% I wanna be the guy. Not enjoyable at all.
For actual games, probably Sekiro, but I did not get that much into it, so I did not really learn how to play good in Sekiro.
-
I dont dodge, because I have some balls. Also it would be hypocritical to dodge, when I complain about dodging myself.
But I switch the Killer, if I see too many Toolboxes. I wont play a Mid Tier Killer, I play Spirit with Good Add Ons then.
Just making sure that I have something of equal strength instead of dodging.
-
Do you think this Thread will lead to anything? Not that the Nerfs Nurse and Spirit received were not justified.

They definitely get infected because I use it to get a bit more map pressure out of Plague when guarding doors. If the survivor is uninfected and they touch the exit gate switch, they get the green aura around their HUD so I immediately know to rush back to the exit gate I puked on.
It’s just like touching any other infected object.
So I stand corrected.
Like I said, I had it wrong in my mind, I thought they were talking about puking at the Switches and that it is not intended to infect them.
Thanks for clearing that up.
-
Highly agree. Sadly the Devs did not say a word about that, but it is so annoying to get these Skill Checks when standing up from a Gen. At least give the chance to hit them.
-

Actually they do get infected. It’s how I know if a survivor touches an exit gate when moving back and forth between the gates during the EGC. I know this for a fact because I main Plague. They get infected just like any other interaction.
Just checked thé Patch Notes of the 2.6.0 PTB:
- The Plague can infect the exit switch by vomiting on the exit doors
Seems like I had it wrong in my mind. However, are you sure that the Survivor gets infected, or that the Exit Switch is just green and slimy when an infected Survivor is touching it?
(I never infected Exit Gate Switches with Plague and never got infected on them; so I dont know)

If you actually read instead of being so upset, you would notice that I said that DOES need to be fixed, just as impossible scenarios for Killers, like Lery's.
Oh, and it is difficult to play Killer. Certainly a lot harder than Survivor. Stop being so angry.
It did not read like you want a fix. Because saying that some are too close or too far away can also just mean "######### happens for both sides". But I agree on that.
I disagree on Killer being difficult. At least not to the level some people claim.
-
@Pulsar said:

You reveal your bias. If you get to the EGC, you have lost at every opportunity.
Stop asking for free escapes. It will not happen, the Devs have made their position very clear.
Why should the Killer get free Kills because he can just stand at one spot? At least give them some effort. But just standing on a Hill, both Exit Gates in Line of Sight (sometimes without even turning the Camera)...
And yes, I am slowly fed up by Killer Mains wanting an easier and easier game. Same as Killer Mains lying that it is SO DIFFICULT to play as Killer.
-
With all the mature Behavior the DBD Community shows everyday, sure, what should go wrong.

Everyone else died. You had a chance to find hatch, the Killer didn't slug for the 4K. You have a small chance to open the gates.
It should be Killer sided, you failed at every possible opportunity, you shouldn't be rewarded with a free escape, like on Lery's or The Game.
And again, the same blablabla. Like I predicted.
You know, Survivors can do good, but still lose. Because you still are highly dependant on your Teammates. At least as Solo Survivor.
But yeah, I get it... ez Kills for the Killer. What they want.
-
Nope, Exit Gate Switches cannot become infected. They were for a while (I think only on PTB), but that was a Bug.
-
@Yamaoka said:
2 min and 46 secs for what exactly? 5 gens or 5 gens + gate or 5 gen and 4 escapes or 4 kills at 5 gens? 🤔
Probably 5 Gens. Because 5 Gens being done in 3 minutes is a nono. But a 4K done in 2 minutes is totally justified and ok.
-
@Pulsar said:
Some doors ARE too close. Some are too far away.
EGC is supposed to be Killer-sided. It always should be.
Honestly, nope. EGC should be there to guarantee that the game will come to an end and not taken Hostage by "funny" Survivors. However, it is totally Killer-sided.
And yes, the Survivor had X attempts to escape, bla, bla, bla. The same bullshit like everytime will come up here. But in fact, sometimes the Survivor would have deserved the Escape.
-
Without all information there is nothing to talk about tbh. We know some Add On Description Changes, those indicate that they want to get rid of the Hostage Doc-Build (which is insanely boring).
But other than that, we dont know anything. Maybe they will even change his Base Power (more Range, maybe Moldy Electrode is not needed anymore for example, maybe different Charge Time or other way this mechanic works).
Guess we know enough around the Mid Chapter Patch.
-
What I have read on the Forum here:
Make it able to reload Hatchets automatically. So when a Survivor is downed or hit (would prefer downed), all Hatchets are reloaded. This would reduce some time to refill the Hatchets.
-
@PrettyFaceKate said:
This is a pretty good idea and it looks balanced. I don't see it superseding Bond or Kindred, but it would offer a good alternative suitable for an altruistic playstyle.
While we're at it, Distorsion deserves some love too. With the amount of killer aura-reading perks and add-ons, those 3 tokens are almost useless. I suggest a mechanic to replenish tokens similar to Stake Out or Diversion.
Thank you!
Yes, I agree, Distortion should get some love as well. It was not that useful to begin with (e.g. Nurses Calling might be blocked by Distortion, but only if you are healing yourself, otherwise the Killer will see the other person) and with BBQ getting countered by Lockers, it got even weaker.
@PigNRun said:
Why not just remove the "upon being hooked" penalty altogether?
Not sure if a permanent, map-wide Aura Read would be too much to be honest. Even with Setup, you would be able to see everything that your teammates are doing all of the time (which would be a great Perk to close the Gap between Solo and SWF to be honest).

Never thought about it but it comes with 2 prestige outfits? 2 masks and 2 bodies?
Yes, one for Frank and one for Julie.
-
I think you dont understand how important Movement Speed is. That is why NOED is so strong - not only Insta Down, but 4% Movement Speed makes many Loops obsolete.
This is also, why PWYF is a Perk which is not that good. Because you need to be careful with things that mess around with Movement Speed.
Having an extra 7,5% Movement Speed at the start of the game will be very oppressive, which means that Pallets are gone way faster than they should be. Which results in no Pallets left, leaving the Killer with (most likely) still an impressive amount of Movement Speed and no defense for the Survivors.
So a big fat Nope.
-
DS is needed when playing Survivor.
MoM is not ok or fine, it is garbage. But before it was way too strong.

There was one thread about this. ONE. 1.

@FriendlyGuy said:
If Michael can 99% his stalk why shouldn't survivors be able to 99% their sprintburst?
It needs a lot of timing and skill to get the most use out of it, it's a fine perk imo.
This is the perfect example against doing something like 99ing Exhaustion to use Sprint Burst in an efficient way.
I cannot do anything about a Myers popping his 99% EW3 on me, when other Survivors gave him stalk for free. And when this is easily done, it is no problem that people 99% their Sprint Burst.
(Which is a good way of playing this Perk, but I guess thats not allowed)

What does P3 Legion look like
A really good looking P3 in my opinion, love the Blood on the Leather Jacket.
-
The only thing about Hillbilly that might need some Nerfs is Tuning Guide and the Cooldown Add-Ons. Tuning Guide is simply too good for what it does, a combination of yellow and brown Add Ons. Green is too low, it can easily be purple or even Pink for what it does.
Regarding Cooldown Add Ons, missed Chainsaw Attacks should have a penalty. With the good Cooldown Add Ons, this is practically non-existant.
Regarding Emblem System:
I doubt that Killers want an Emblem System which is based on the Evader Emblem. Because this would mean that Survivors in Red Rank WILL be good at Looping, because otherwise, they would not be there. While it would be really appreciated from a Survivor Side, I know that Killers enjoy stomping some Potatoes. And even if it is not a team full of Potatoes, there is always a Weaklink to compensate from. This would be way harder to find or not even possible afterwards.
Furthermore, not everyone likes getting chased. The guy who does two Gens on his own and does a few Unhooks is as valuable for a Survivor Team like the guy who wastes the Killers time.
The only Change in Emblem System which I see needed is Gatekeeper - it should give full Iridescent if the Killer manages to kill all Survivors before 5 Gens are done. He completely did his Objective, so no reason to give anything less than Gatekeeper tbh. (Even when the first 4 Gens were done pretty early, if the Killer went for a 3 Gen early on, there is no reason to punish him for being strategic for the Late Game)
-
@Exxodus21 said:
I don't think 99%ing the gate should be possible. It's way more fun when the EGC puts pressure on the killer and survivors.
The Killer has 0 pressure due to EGC.
@Topic:
99ing the Exit Gates works fine, when a person is standing at the Exit Gates. More time for safes, protection from Bloodwarden... And if you are getting chased and one other person opens the gate, the Killer does not even have to catch you, because he just needs to wait those two minutes and prevents you from running away.
So it has its uses.
-
I agree, people who barely reached Red Ranks before are now mixed with players who were Rank 1 after a week at max.
But for Killers it is the same - had a lot of DCs today and yesterday, mostly of Green Rank Killers (I am Rank 3 currently). While this is the acceptable range, it is still too big. AND those Killers who are now Green Rank would normally have been reset a lot more. If someone who barely reached purple with Rank 8 is now playing, he is at 9 and will face Red Ranks. While before, a Killer who was Rank 8 close before Reset will end up at around 15.
So they have harder games and are more frustrated now.

I just relized that DbD is more frustrating than Dark Souls.
DARK SOULS.
Because Dark Souls should not be frustrating, it just shows you when you are too bad and need to improve. But in DBD you will just get an Error Message.
@Topic:
yeah, its horrible. When playing SWF, the good thing was that I did not have to invite my SWF-Friend after every game. But now one of us gets an Error most of the time, so instead of inviting each other 100% of the time, we invite each other 80% of the time...
Not counting the situations where one is in the Lobby and the other person is still waiting, which results in inviting again and going for a queue time again.

I don't mean that for survivor gameplay, I meant more doing stuff instead of sitting on a gen for 80 seconds like getting parts for the generator so you can actually work on them .
Ah well, secondary Objectives are a thing that quite a lot of people would like to have. But it is not easy to implement. Despite the narrative, most games dont end in 3 minutes with all Gens done. So it is not that easy to implement second Objective(s), because it should not be the case that it is too difficult to get the Objective done.
But overall, I would guess that we will have second Objective(s) at one point in DBD.

Balanced Landing was a problem, but even without it the Asylum is really strong. Several strong pallets that in some cases have to be broken on top of a few strong windows.
Dont worry, I know. ;) Just making fun out of the Devs lazyness.

I'm not saying it's going to kill DBD, i'm basically giving my opinion on the game and saying that I wish that DBD's Survivor gameplay and Maps were similar to Last Year
I dont think that is possible. When it comes to Maps, they would rework the whole of DBD. Because the concept, while being a Survival Horror Game, is different.
And regarding to Survivor gameplay... Killers are already crying about DS or Head On. Do you really want that Survivors can fight back? Killer Mains would complain a lot.
-
@Spooky13 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/923058#Comment_923058
Asylum is far from killer sided. It still has a bunch of very safe pallets in the main building. It's also a rather large map, meaning M1 killers struggle to apply pressure, and very open, meaning stealth killers struggle too. Coming back to this thread after cleansing my pallet with a few Autohavens, Badham definitely isn't the absolute worst, Crotus Prenn takes that, but it is still up there as one of the worst.
Guys, BL was the problem. Just accept it, I mean,why would the Devs nerf BL and not change such strong structures? Clear case in my opinion.
-
I get a lot of DCing Killers lately. And well, its logical. Those Killers are Green Rank, usually around Rank 9 (I am Rank 3, currently). So its the maximum distance which is allowed.
BUT: Those Killers who are Rank 9 would have probably deranked a lot more. Lets say someone who barely reached Purple Ranks at the End of the Season (Rank 8) is now Rank 9. And easily able to play vs (and with) players who were in Red Rank before. But with old Rank Reset, a Killer or Survivor of Rank 8 would have been reset to like 15?... So they have much harder games now.
Please BHVR, revoke the Rank Reset Changes. It is really not enjoyable at the moment.
-
Well, people spend BPs on those things. Why not use them then?
-
So Last Year is going to kill DBD again? Like they did the first time? With same success?
-
@thesuicidefox said:

I agree. Asylum is the worst loop in the game now. At least 4 safe pallets and 2 safe windows. Balanced Landing heaven (even though it's not that good now). Lots of places to hide. The loops here are so strong they can beat a Spirit in a chase by just dropping the pallet.
Asylum is balanced now. Only BL was the problem, the Map is now killer-sided.
@Topic:
The School is not that crazy. Sure, 4 Pallet Spots where 3 of them are pretty decent (the one in the Hallway is not that good), but you can catch up around the School.
And overall, every Pallet outside of a Building is highly unsafe and playable. If a Survivor decides to stay at one of those Pallets, they will get hit.
(If the Killer thinks it is smart to break every Pallet... Yeah, thats his fault)
-

The problem is with the matchmaking giving you potatoes on your team. Before I was rank 1 survivor and had to go back to rank 10 and play the worst games of my life. At least now I’ll be matched with purple ranks who are way better than green.
No, you will get matched with purple Ranks who barely were able to reach Red Rank, close before Rank Reset.
Those are not good Survivors.

Nope.

"You can argue with me, but you will be accomplishing nothing."
