Imagine having a Multiplayer Onlinegame with Teamplay which you cannot play with your friends. Yeah, great idea, 11/10, would uninstall.

285 Euros according to my purchase history on steam
Love cosmetics too much and i can't say i regret it tbh, DBD is also the game i play the most atm.
Same here. I have 3000hrs on DBD. So even with all the money spent for Cosmetics, DLCs and Basegame (+Rift Pass), pretty good deal when I compare it to full-prize games.
-
Probably around 100 Euros in total.
-
Second Screenshot could be fine, when the Rank 3 either ranked up from 4, or you deranked from 9.
First one is one of the edge cases, which can happen. I see them happen quite frequently to be honest.
However, I think that 6 Ranks is too much. But I guess it is a matter of Queue Times vs Balance here. And I would rather play imbalanced matches than having to wait for a absurd long time.
-
They were talking about that a few months ago, and in the latest Q&A, they brought up exactly this example. This was when they talked about the Rank Reset Changes, and that the current changes are part of a bigger picture, which will not be revealed yet. So yeah, I can imagine that this means that every Killer will have a different Rank.
But I can see some problems with it. One would be M1-Killers. If a player got really good with a Standard M1-Killer like Wraith and reached Red Ranks with it, he will most likely do good with any other M1-Killer, because their gameplay is roughly the same. So this Red Rank Wraith can easily pick up another M1-Killer which he did not play that much (like Bubba or Pig) and dominate low Rank Survivors with it.
-
Thing is, there are not many really good Perks on both sides. Killers have a little bit more variety, because they have different gameplay (e.g. some Killers use Chase Perks, while they would be completely useless on other Killers), but overall, there is a lack of good Perks in the latest Chapters.
Even there Killers have it a little bit better, because Perks like Corrupt Intervention, Thrilling Tremors, Nemesis can somewhat be used, but they are also no competition to the Metaperks.
So yeah, no surprise to see the same builds over and over again.
-
Was finished before Level 3 came out.
-
Funny how people write that the Survivor "failed to find a key". As if those people would not be the first persons opening a Thread, how Unfair Keys are, because they closed the Hatch and they escaped with a Key they found in a chest...
I rather have the Survivor escaping in a fair Exit Gate Situation than with a lucky Key. So yeah, Gatespawns need to be looked at, they should not be impossible to guard, but they also should not be observed from one Spot without even moving.

There are also some ridiculous windows that can spawn at the coal tower and at the pit of suffocation.
Coal Tower is ok, because the Map is so small. Sure, the Tower is good for Survivors, but not such a big problem.
Regarding Suffocation Pit, this Window is not really the biggest problem. The middle part is way more problematic, there are like 5 or 6 structures back to back. Sure, a Potato-Survivor is catched easily there, but you will not be able to catch a good Survivor in the Middle.
-
"Every Killer is required to take it"
Nope, not at all. Ruin is one of those Perks which is really good on Low Ranks, but almost useless on High Ranks. People know Totem Spawns, people can hit Great Skill Checks.
-
Its fine, as long as someone is waiting at the gate which is on 99%.
-
The Changes to Nurse and Spirit are justified (even tho, Spirit did not get what was most asked for). And well, both are still really good. If they would fix the sound issues, you would see a lot of Spirits I guess.
Freddys Slowdown Add Ons also needed change. There is no reason why he should have such a big Slowdown Potential, while Legion got nerfed in this aspect. He is fine without massive Slowdown-Builds.
Regarding Legion, the first version was simply bad for the game. There is not really anything to discuss here. But overall I feel that they are in a dead end regarding Legion. His concept on Vaulting Pallets and Windows is really cool, but it is difficult to make him strong when he basically ignores Defenses a Survivor has.
And the Doc-Changes... They dont look that bad. I mean, it is quite a big thing that you do not need to switch between Modes, which was highly annoying because of the time it took and also the lower Movement Speed in Treatment Mode. Furthermore, Hostage Doc is a really unfun Build to go against, and it is not even good. The funniest thing in DBD are the chases, and Hostage Doc does not do that.

It's kind of wierd an anti-camping perk doesn't work against campers. Whatever you say fam.
Especially because the Stealth Killers tend to camp.
-
Found some friends a few minutes ago :) Wanted to play Wraith, but one person was named "Snoot Booper"... So I switched for Pig, got a lot of Boops <3
-
First of all, lack of Map Pressure. This is the same reason why old Legion was a bad Killer, despite ignoring Defenses a Survivor has (same like Nurse).
Also, while he has a built-in Anti Loop tool, you still need to use Chase-Perks to make him work. A Killer like Spirit is totally fine with just Tracking and Slowdown-Perks. But Clown needs Stuff like Enduring, Spirit Fury, Brutal Strength, despite already having an ability which counters Loops.
Furthermore, he forces early Pallet Drops, but if the Pallet is safe, this does not do that much. In the longrun, sure, but he has to break them.
Clown is not that bad on new Badham or Hawkins, since most Pallets are unsafe tho. There he can do a little bit more with his Toolkit.
-
Keep them as they are. I finished Level 4. It came out on Wednesday. This is way too fast, people have 3 weeks for those challenges, they dont need to complete those which need to be done in one Trial on their first attempt.

No, if you are an #########, i'll be too. I had the chest challenge earlier and the agi/iron grasp challenge Trapper, was trapping the chests. I didn't let him to hook me in the basement no matter how hard he tried. You tried to stop my challenge, i'll do the same.
Eh.
Not compareable at all. Nobody has to play so that other people get their challenge done. Like, I dont need to lose a game because one Survivor has a Dark Sense Challenge. And honestly, if one or even multiple people burn Chest-Offerings, I will most likely trap Chests as well. (Furthermore, this challenge does not need to be completed in one Trial)
However, in the case provided by OP - the Survivor will die. This is 100% the outcome. It will not change ANYTHING for the Survivor. As long as the Killer was not a massive dick (e.g. camping the Basement all the time or pretending to farm just to get easy Basement Hooks) and played fair, there is no reason to not give the challenge - except for being a dick. Because the outcome will be the same, it does not matter for the Survivor.
-
I bet this happened two times in a row for OP, so it HAS TO BE THIS WAY. No other possibility!

Seriously what is it with the devs and impossible challenges????? Did you not learn from the last challenges? I’ve been trying to do this one for so long fix it

So because it is too difficult for you, it needs to be fixed?
Didnt know you were the center of this gaming community.

my point...
the game was won..just hook him
Yeah, you lost. So just let them get his challenge and dont behave like a little brat.
When he played fair, why bother with the hook?
-

Nah because the killers won't do the same for survivors.
if you want something nice done for you, you need to do something nice for someone else.
end of story
If it was a normal game, why would it bother you were you die? You are dead on hook. It does not matter which hook.
-
@MrsMaliciousX said:

Its not fair lol
and it shouldn't have to come down to that
Honestly, when the Killer got everyone fair and square (and not did some Bullshit like pretending to farm to get everyone) and you are the last person, it does not matter at all if he Hooks you in the basement or somewhere else. Then let him have his challenge.
-
Quite funny to call it "Winter Gifts" and justify the absence of a Winter Event. The Cosmetics were given for a whole different reason.
The frosty eyes are awarded every year.
The Bill-Sweater will most likely became free because of Valve.
And the Charm...Yeah, cool. (I mean, I see people using the Trapper Charm a lot.. Any why? Because it was basically the first charm they got, and they dont care for them anymore)

I'm thinking maybe the rifts premium pass is a way of sustaining monies whilst fixing the game and adding free content such as new game modes and even more game modes.
I dont think so. I mean, new content is great. But the game is in need for some improvements, I would totally fine with having only 2 Chapters each year, when the other two spots are used for overall improvements.
And I am playing on PC, which is still the best, when I see what happens on Console (performance-wise for example).
-
A game with such a high RNG factor can never be played competitive.
Just look at some Maps... Sometimes you have some strong Loops back to back, sometimes you have giant Dead Zones. Sometimes good Windows are open, sometimes not.
(I mean, just look at Shack - Window faced to the Border-->Meh. Window faced to another Jungle Gym or a Longwall - yay. You cannot say that a Survivor does better when he has better luck with the Structures. Same for Killer, if he has luck with the Pallet Spawns, it does not mean that he is more skillful than that guy who has to deal with a higher Palletr Spawn)
-
4 Chapters = $$$
Easy as that.
-
Just to block a Survivor in a Corner without doing anything? Yes, and its a bannable offense.
Blocking someone in a corner or someones path to get a hit? Nope, neither toxic nor bannable.

Oh no, I agree that it is deceitful and purposefully misleading. I am totally with you on that.
Doesn't change my own stance on the matter, however.
Well, I wrote in another post that I would also guess that there are no changes anytime soon.
Personally I think that they are in a dead end with Legion. Legion was a failure to begin with, was a bad Killer all the time and highly unfun to play against. And I dont think that they know any way to make him good (like, really good, not like the first version of Legion, which was also bad) and also enjoyable to go against. (Except by reworking his whole basekit, but personally I think that many people (me included) like his ability of vaulting Pallets and Windows)
-

I think it is pretty clear that means we will not be getting changes any time soon. While the OP is in the wrong for leading people on, he isn't completely wrong.
Its complete bullshit to only put on half of the statement. It would at least be fair to quote the full statement.
What people interpret from this is a different thing, but it is not fair to just focus on one part to have a base for a rant.

i would hope they will do some changes after christmas like in early january as even they recongise legion hasnt really move in the stastic and tiers but going off what they are planning doctor then the chainsaw brothers i do think sadly it will be a long wait which is sad.
I cannot say for sure, but I am guessing (and I think I will be quite right on this) that no changes are done anytime soon. Because with a huge set of Data, it is better to do any more changes.
(And to be fair, Legion is a special case - he should be able to get some good results, but should also not be vastly unfun to go against)

Yeah, see, I really only play legion. So more than one toolbox is suicide
I mean, you cannot expect to win every game when playing the worst Killer.
-
Its the only challenge that has some form of effort. There can be one in the Final Level of the Tome.
-
Not that you are telling the complete truth:
Any plans for further Legion updates in the future or are you guys done with Legion for now?
We’ll be watching Legion’s performance after the Deep Wound change and the speed buff they got. We don’t have any plans for the immediate future, we’d like to see what sort of impact this has on gameplay first. So far, there doesn’t appear to be any statistical change in their performance before and after the update.
But yeah, I guess its ok to ignore some details to justify another rant done by you.
-
"we paid for him"...
This is not real argument, sorry. Things in Onlinegames can change. I mean, I paid for Mettle of Man (and endure a talking guy in my game for that...), and I cannot say that Mettle of Man is something to enjoy these days.
-
@ASpazNamedSteve said:
Do they need to be on the hooks at the same time like the Monstrous Shrine one, or just sacrifice them all in there...?
If it's just sacrifice them all in there it doesn't seem super impossible with a basement build. I feel much worse for the survivors going against all the killers doing this lol..
The way it is worded indicates that you need to sacrifice them in the Basement, but not at the same time.
-
@Keene_Kills said:
I like your enthusiasm. But not even a Bubba's Basement build with nitwit new survivors is going to pull off those basement challenges.
Semi-intelligent survivors have learned over the past 3 levels to avoid traps the moment they realize they're facing a Trapper.
And Dark Senses is going to require an SWF, full-bore, unless you have a miracle game where killer flat-out ignores you and absolutely nobody else is running gens.
You know that you only need to sit on the Gen when its finished, do you?
I mean, I got this with 5 gens a few days ago, I was sitting on all of them, because I am a filthy Genrusher.
Like I said, it will not be done in the first try, but it is not impossible to do.

Yeah, but it does not have to be on first try. I mean, come one, no need to be finished with the Challenges after two days, once again.

This is disappointing.
I was expecting some sort of challenge, not what was originally shown as some of that was ridiculous, but a challenge nonetheless. But this. They went too far in the other direction with these imho.
I think this one might actually be, overall, easier than Tome III.
Yeah, me too. I mean, Tome 4 looked hard, and maybe too hard (would have needed to try how it will work out for me), but this is too easy.
-
@Carlosylu said:

I mean, I know this is what I have to do to get it done, or maybe SWF but I don't like this... That's my only problem... When someone does this egocentric challenge based dumb actions to me I really get annoyed... Remember survivors runing around like fools scaring crows?
Honestly, I think it is only a dumb action when you farm the guy on the Hook just to get your challenge done. If you get him out, everything is fine.
If it's stupid but it works it ain't stupid
-
Those are also not too hard. Not done in the first Trial maybe, but nothing that is nearly impossible to do so.
-
Its literally the only Challenge of Level 4 that is somewhat difficult.
-
@Carlosylu said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/929790#Comment_929790
I know, that's the way, but I believe it's just a bad thing to do, we don't do this, it's a basic high rank rule... Maybe if it got changed to "unhook someone after the 5th gen has been repaired" that would solve the problem
Sure its not highly optimal to open the Door, but overall, it is still 4 minutes after that. And sometimes it is even better, when the Survivors can run to the Door which is already open to bodyblock.

What about the last minute hero? Did they change it?
There is no last Minute Hero.
These are the challenges:
Survivor:
Repair 10 Gens
6 Skill Checks with This is not happening (single Trial)
Search 12 Chests
4 Gens repairing with Dark Sense (Single Trial, only need to be sitting on the Gen when its finished)
Escape as Claudette (Single Trial, obviously)
Total of 5 health States healing
4 Killer Stuns with Pallets (Single Trial)
Killer:
Hit a Survivor with your weapon 25 times
Damage the same generator 4 times (single trial)
Interrupt and grab 2 Survivors
Kick 8 Pallets or Gens with Brutal Strength (Single Trial)
Hook the Obsession 10 times
Hook 5 Survivors in the Basement using Agitation (single Trial)
Catch 6 people in Bear Traps (Single Trial)
Sacrifice 4 Survivors in the Basement (Single Trial)
Not really challenges.
-
Then just open the door?
-
@Nobsyde said:
As always: face camping the thread to see what the challenges are :P
They are easy. Thats what the challenges are. Too easy sadly.
I mean, one challenge is to grab 2 Survivors... A Tome 3 Challenge was to grab 6 Survivors at first... Not even need to be done in a single Trial.
-
Pig is probably my favorite Killer, I really like to play her.
Yesterday I played on Lerys with Amandas Letter and the Survivors looked way too helpless. So I wanted to let everyone live, but nobody booped the snoot. :(
Killed them :(

Oh spare me. Ever since they released those stats, anytime a killer player has a legit complaint the peanut gallery comes out to tell them how "gud" they need to git. That mentality is pervasive in this community. Which is hilarious because this game isn't ######### hard.
Ah well, it is something I read from Killer players when Survivors complain. So yeah, why not do it the other way around?
And yes, DBD is not a difficult game. On both sides it is really easy.
-
@Pulsar said:

Sounds are a problem, they seem to be bugged at the moment.
However, the map is way too dark. If a Claudette starts running, you can completely lose her. It is too dark.
Also, saying that only Killers want this game to be horror is incredibly childish. You are looking for things to be upset over, there are people who play both sides who want that; there are also people who don't.
Oh, and for the record, I do play both sides, a lot.
It is not too dark. For once there is a Map that is not in complete daylight. Like on Farm Maps, when standing on a Hill, I can look from one side of the Map to the other. If you compare it to what DBD looked like in the past, the new Map is not darker. But players are simply more used to it.
If people would actually play instead of complaining, they will also get used to the Lightning of the new Map. (When it comes to visibilty, the problem is more in the tall grass or whatever it is)
And nope, sounds dont SEEM to be bugged, they ARE bugged. Injured people without Iron Will are comipletely silent from time to time.

Exactly. People can still ruin the experience of the other players by Suiciding or going AFK. But people who have technical issues or are the victim of Bugs (which happen in this game) will get punished.
