  • It is a Survivor Perk which did not came out 2 years ago. It is bad. Like all of them. So you cannot expect this Perk to be good.

Let's see: Person complains about having to grind BP on a different killer to level the one they want to play because MM doesn't factor in killer levels and so you wind up with a single perk vs a full meta group... So YOU suggest that he grind BPs on a killer different than the one he wants to play.

I feel like maybe you missed the point of the OP.

Sorry, it is so easy to grind BPs as Killer, I dont see any reason to play a Level 1-Killer. With BBQ, 50k BPs per Match are at least possible, 25k BP is a normal (not even good) Killer game. With BBQ results this in 50k BP, so 20 games to get 1 Million BP, which brings the Killer to Level 34 or something like that.

  • She should not "mindgame" Survivors while vaulting any different than other Killers do. I dont even know if she had a proper vault animation before that one.

But I agree that she should have a different Vault Animation, this one does not fit at all and just looks stupid on her.

  • You can grind BPs (it is super-easy to do that as Killer) and level your Killer to have some decent Perks and Add Ons. At least this would be better than expecting to do well with a 1 Perk-Killer and complaining afterwards when it did not work out.

  • This would be Tier 70 in like a week of playtime. Because you dont need more for the 4 Tome Levels.

And well, daily reminder that nobody needs to get his Auric Cells back... Just look what you will get at the end of the Rift and either buy the Premium Pass or not.

  • I dont think that this braindead Perk needs any Buffs. It already gets buffed with Maps like new Badham and Hawkins.

Noed its fine, cleansed 5 totems and done. Playing against 4 adrenalines has no counter, the only counter would be that the players who play adrenaline have a risk, right now there is no risk. Despite exhaustion, adrenaline kicks in and gives you both effects regardless of whether you are exhausted.

You can counter Adrenaline by preventing 5 Gens being done.

    Its a funny logic:

    Adrenaline-->OP Perk

NOED-->Killer play only with 3 Perks!

Someone who uses Adrenaline also plays with 3 Perks, if he is dead before all Gens are done, there is 0 value for Adrenaline. When I used it, I mostly got it while healthy and not in chase, meaning it did exactly nothing (except for blocking my Exhaustion Perk).

Not saying that it cannot come in a really good situation, but I think Adrenaline is overrated.

Sorry but why is him rage quitting more acceptable than someone else? So what if he is a streamer. Those survivors have queued up for however long and he has had a tantrum because a hit didn't land????

It just makes me feel embarrassed for him. I missed a hit, that's not fair. I'm leaving.

    Really childish behaviour.

I am sure everyone who fawns all over him will come to his defence here but how can you defend that behaviour? If he wasn't a streamer or if he was a small time streamer you would all be laughing and calling the killer pathetic for disconnecting.

He should have not DCed, this is correct. But this video shows how broken the Dedicated Servers are. This cannot be denied, the Lunge should have connected and there should be stalking possible before. If basic mechanics (hitting) or Killer Mechanics (stalking) dont work, something is clearly wrong with those Servers.

  • Well, two things:

First of all, this Forum is Killer-sided. Just open a Thread with "Killers are weak" and one with "Survivors are weak" and look at the responses.

Second, people here seem to base things of single games, rather than the majority of games. If in one game someone pulled off a Sabo-Move, they will open a Thread. But those 20 games where no Sabotage happened will be ignored. Its like Sabo Squads, sure, you might run into one, but this is like 1 in 200 games. And this is not even frequent, a 4 man SWF deciding to Sabo will not do this every game.

Like, for me, I have missed exactly one Hook because of Sabotage. I needed to drop the Survivor, needed to keep them slugged, they got picked up and I got my Hook later. Otherwise I usually got to another Hook.

And I have seen people going down while I was carried by the Killer in an attempt to sabotage the Hook... Resulting in the complete opposite - two Survivors down/hooked instead of one getting rescued because of Sabotage.

Sabotage (and Saboteur) are better, but not that strong. And this is good, because something which prevents one of the core mechanics of the game (putting Survivors on the Hook) should not be disabled easily.

  • All Killers have the same Lunge Range (except for Tier 1 and Tier 3 Myers).

But people are saying that sometimes Lunges (especially at the start of the game) are buggy, maybe this was the case in your Spirit game.

More on the survivor side tbh. I encounter way more toxic bully swf squads as killer than a hole killers as survivor

    Not really.

Remember, there are 4 survivors in each game but only 1 Killer. Sure the rate of idiots on Survivor Side is bigger.

And, you will remember the one toxic Survivor in your game, but not the three guys who were playing nice.

  • First a reminder:

Lets not forget that the Devs lied about this last "test" of Dedicated Servers, they just released them with this broken state. (Or anything else to say here @Peanits ?)

    To the video:

Yep, this is Dedicated Servers for you. Horrible experience, for both sides. Are there any issues fixed with those Servers? I mean, I have awesome Ping all the time, but when either the Survivor or the Killer does not have good Ping, I dont get anything out of it.

Lagswitching Killers? Can still be done.

DC-Penalty? Yeah, can only exist with Dedicated Servers (as far as I know), but it is so broken. I am quite fortunate to not get hit that hard by the Penalty, but I also had to DC two times because of gamebreaking Bugs (one time I got stuck somewhere and one time I hooked a Survivor as Nurse, they glitched out and I was unable to blink...).

But we have a bunch of new Issues, like really strange Hit Connections because of Ping/Latency which cannot even be seen by the Indicator (and the Devs thinking that 150 Ping is good Ping), several Bugs, Killers like Huntress an absolute Pain to play against and also to play as...

So yeah, BHVR, PLEASE stop lying to us and end this "test" of Dedicated Servers. They are NOT ready yet, give it a few months before testing them. If anything will kill this game, it is those Servers.

  • Prove Thyself is only really useful for the BPs. The Speed effect is not good at all, since it is better anyway to split up.

  • @Ghostwithaface said:

Yeah i seen that happen on both sides. Like how the heck did i get that hit? In other cases it how the heck did they miss me? It a pain when it goes against you but godly when it benefits you.

Honestly, this is even worse when it does not look like you hit them on your screen as Killer, when you actually hit them. Or when it looks like a Hit on the Survivor Side and it was a miss. This shows how broken this hit detection is.

  • Yep, its selfish to Kobe when you know that someone is going to safe you. I dont heal a person who got off the Hook in my face.

I am even thinking about not unhooking them if they try to Kobe, but I am too nice for that (and in the end, it will also hurt my Escape).

  • @YaiPa said:

imagine exploiting a worldwide pandemic just to get useless points in a videogame. you're so sad

I prefer people who want ingame events to have something to spend time while being inside over those who go outside and do social meetups. Here in Germany we will most likely not be allowed to go outside pretty soon, because people are stupid and decide to spend the time in Parks or in Cafes with their friends.

So I prefer everyone who wants reasons to be inside over those idiots.

  • There is no reason to not show the full game - except that you want to hide something. Like... A win afterwards? With no more Gens being done? Meaning that those 3 Gens did nothing? What a surprise!

After the hook the Killer had really good pressure. One person was being chased, one was on the Hook, another one needs to go for the Rescue (if they are not SWF, maybe both will go). This is not too bad.

Let alone that this team ######### up by doing all the Gens on one side of Suffocation Pit.

Without the full game, this clip means exactly nothing. Of course it should only feed a narrative without giving some valuable information.

EDIT: Just saw who the OP is... How many threads with that Clip do you want to open? This is at least the second one...

  • Funny how you did not mention the strongest and most imbalanced Offering a Killer has in your list - the Mori. Survivors dont have an Offering which can have such an Impact, not even close.

  • The Gens are not finished when you close the Hatch. The Exit Gates get powered, but the Gens dont get finished.

  • Toolboxes are a waste of BPs now. Like so many Survivor things.

(The Nerf was 100% justified, but maybe they went too far with it)

  • Legacy (or any forms that are like Legacy but not really) will not come back.

I am just a little confused because OOO says both Killer and Survivor see each other.

"A supernatural bond links you to the Killer. If you are looking in the Killer's direction, your link will reveal your Auras to each other."

    https://gamepedia.cursecdn.com/deadbydaylight_gamepedia_en/thumb/0/03/IconHelp_auras.png/32px-IconHelp_auras.png?version=08dcb30431cdc41d9ee7740eba2e7fa4

Plus what you are saying sounds like a perk that would almost benefit the killer than the player using it. I mean why would anyone us it if the only time you see the killer is if you are looking at each other. If you are not looking at the killer he can see you? That means the entire game unless I am looking at the killer he sees me. Wouldn't that benefit the killer more because unless I am looking at him the entire time he sees my aura? All I know is he is looking at me? That is what Spine Chill is for.

Well, currently, OoO is high reward and mediocre risk (even low risk, if you are super careful and have some luck the Killer might only notice Midgame or Endgame that you have OoO). With the change I suggested, it would be mediocre reward and high risk. And I think if you want to run a Perk such like this, you should have a higher risk than reward.

Also, when OoO is lightning up, the Survivor can look around to see where the Killer is. So it not only works like Spine Chill, but also gives information when the Killer is full map away.

  • Honestly, I dont see any issue here. It is part of Doctors Kit that he makes Skill Checks harder, DS should not be an exception of it.

  • @Cheers said:

The annoying thing for me is that swf ruin this perk. I'm a solo player and I love this perk because it helps me position myself better and even duke the killer, and although its balanced in those situations, I do understand that its completely unbalanced with swf.

Personally, I think that the Perk is not balanced for Solos either. Sure, the benefit of OoO is bigger the more players are in a party, but even as Solo you can get information you should not have. This is mostly because the Survivor can see the Killer when the Killer cannot see the Survivor.

In my opinion this should change - if the Killer and Survivor are looking at each other, they will see each other. If the Killer is looking at the Survivor but the Survivor is looking away, the Killer should see the Aura (and OoO should lit up). If the Survivor is looking in the direction of the Killer and the Killer is not looking back at the Survivor, no Aura Read.

This would basically turn the current state around, making it much more risk for the Survivor, while still providing some Benefit.

Overall I think this Perk needs changing, this whole "Undetectable"-Stuff came solely because of Object of Obsession. But instead of just changing that one Perk, they came with a new mechanic which also nerfed other Perks (Dark Sense, Alert for example).

  • @ZoneDymo said:

    ermm why can't you dodge?

I think OP means that with P2P you can see the Ping to the Killer and dodge the Lobby when it is high or spikes. With Dedicated Servers you only see your own Ping, but having green Ping on Dedicated Servers does not mean anything when the Killer either has bad internet or is doing shady things.

  • It should be the VERY LEAST that the White Ward protects the Add Ons when escaping. Because otherwise, it is better to die with a White Ward than to Survivor (6k BPs minimum for the Add Ons, only 5k BPs for Escape).

But this Add On-Change should be reverted entirely. There was not much thought put into that at all.

  • Everything below Rank 16 is basically a Safe Zone where only new players will be present. So that people who would like to derank to have super-easy games (like you, apparently) cannot farm Newbies.

  • Hag and Spirit have the same Terror Radius btw. Both are 24 meters.

Maybe it is harder to notice because Monitor&Abuse is a Perk which is used quite often on Hag, but not on Spirit.

I disagree on that, the more blood the better in my opinion. But everyone has a different taste.

Did he ever say that? Nice strawman.

People like you who make braindead arguments like "oh, the killer has so much pressure even though 3 gens popped."

If it's a swf, one person goes for save, and 2 are on gens.

Why do we, instead of acknowledging the problems with gen speed, defend bad game design?

Nope, 1 person is on Gens. 1 in chase, 1 going for the Save. You even see that one person is in a chase. And we dont even see the end result, the game could have ended with no more Gens being done.

Nobody says that bloody thing that killers should win with 5 gens, stop saying ######### like that. We are aware that winning with 5 gens should only happen when we are either lucky as ######### or when we are matched with dorks. No, we don't want that.

It's stuff like this that's not normal, or when they do a gen in 27 seconds cough cough.

As long as not every Gen is done until the end, the Killer will be fine.

  • First of all, not every Generator is 20% of the Survivor Objective. The first one or two are less %, because they are far more easy to be done. The last one will be the most difficult Generator, not that many ressources are left on the Map and maybe not even 4 Survivors are left.

Second, you dont see that much in this Clip. I see a Huntress making a bad throw and 3 Gens pop, while one person is on the Hook. This is expected if the Survivors dont spawn together and the Killer is only pressuring one Survivor until this point. But NOW comes the part where the Killer has more pressure - one person is on the Hook, one person is in Chase and one person is going for the rescue. So only one Survivor on a Gen. Not bad.

Third, where is the result? A clip which lasts a few seconds is not helpful at all, why should someone try to argue something when there is nothing to counter? I mean, from what it looks like, the team just ######### up, because they did all the Gens on one side of Suffocation Pit...

But of course someone will come and say that Killers should totally win with 5 Gens to go...

  • Read my full post. It is really easy to understand.

Oh really? Play pig legion or even the new killer The deathslinger in rank 1 and face a SWF in 8/10 matches. Then you will know what everyone is talking about.

Just played a match now and 2 gens pop in 30 sec... there was 2 survivors in each one with the new "nerfed" toolbox. Explain how is that balanced when you need to hook 3 times a survivor to kill him and eat a DS to at least get 1 kill because the only way to stop them is tunneling??

Killers are forced to play toxic because the gen rush is insane with SWF. The ruin nerf did great damage to weak killers and the "nerfed" toolboxes are a joke. Like the new sabo... SWF teams with sabotage are back and are even more stronger now. Thanks devs..

    Ok, slowly for you:

    is

I am not talking about Balance at all. If people just play the game (and doing Gens is part of it), they dont bully anyone. If doing Gens is bullying, hooking Survivors would be bullying as well.

Do you play in rank 1? Because you looks like you are talking about another game. Take a look at SWF, they are incredibly overpowered againts mid and low tier killers, and the difference between SWF and solos if pretty big too. You can't deny that.

What does that have to do with my statement? Even if a SWF is just playing the game, they are not bullying anyone.

I have to disagree on some of your opinions:

Groaning Storehouse-->This Map is not that bad, IF the God Window is not open (should be closed all the time). But if it is closed, the Map is not that Survivor sided.

Shelter Woods-->Clearly Killer-sided, one of the better Killer Maps. Spawns with a giant Deadzone and the number of Tiles (and their connection to each other) is not that bad.

Suffocation Pit-->Even with the good Window it is not that Survivor sided. 3 Gen Strats are possible and you can camp Survivors while being half map away.

Resting Place-->Killer-sided. Again, you can split this Map and focus on one side, also you can camp Survivors while patrolling the middle of the Map.

Wreckers Yard-->Possibly the most balanced Autohaven Map, small and no super-strong Loops. Even, at least.

Grim Pantry-->while it is survivor-sided, it is also a BS Map for Survivors. You can have Giant Deadzones in the middle, and those result in going to the Pantry all the time. Swamp Maps in general are horrible.

Springwood Maps-->They are not that survivor sided. The Buildings are strong, but every Pallet outside is unsafe, so if a Survivor wants to play these Pallets, they will get hit, would say they are even.

The Game-->Bad for both sides. Difficult for Survivors because of the small size and the two layers, but also full of safe Pallets. IMO one of the Maps which needs a Rework, because the gameplay is outright boring. More windows would be nice and less safe Pallets.

Hawkins-->Clearly Killer-sided. The whole Map has two safe Pallets and the rest is that unsafe that you need the Stun. Bloodlust is horrible on this Map and they went too far with the pallet safety.

All they're saying is that using words like "bullying" to describe something happening in a game of DBD is silly, which I completely agree with.

Stuff can be unfair and needlessly frustrating, but anyone actually feeling bullied in the usual application of the word would stop playing the game. Because unlike if you're bullied in school or something you actually have the ability to just stop playing.

Thank you very much. As long as both sides are just playing the game, nobody is getting bullied. If actual harrassment is taking place, playing solely to let the other side feel miserable, this is not ok by any means.

Well serious question, do you enjoy it when you do 3 gens before anyone is downed and then get the other 2 shortly after while having DS, BT, Adren and an Exhaution perk ready?

I dont run the meta at all myself but when gens go to fast.... I mean that removes so much tension and that means the match is just boring.

I just play this game. If I dont have any interaction with other Survivors (aka doing Unhooks or Heals) or with the Killer (aka Chases), I will sit on a Gen. I dont need to search for the Killer to get into Chases, annoy them so that I can have some of the fun part of the game. Matches were I sit on a Gen nearly all game are rare, because most of the Killers are competent enough to get some Downs.

And as Killer, I also prefer normal games. If I am too bad, I lose, but I dont need Survivors not doing the Objective just to get chased etc.

So I prefer to do anything but Gens, but if the Killer is not able to make me move from a Gen, I will not leave it (because in the end, someone has to do those Gens in order to escape).

  • Just something on a more serious note, since OP seems to forget about this in his SWF-Hate:

    How are Solos rewarded?

If I play Solo with a 3 man SWF, their action speed are reduced. While I have my normal action Speed, I will have 3 teammates who are slow on Gens (and I am not talking about those who simply are not doing Gens here) and also 3 teammates who will heal me super-slow when I am hooked?

So despite playing Solo I will be faced with disadvantages.

  • So doing Gens = Bullying? Cool.

Can we stop to use those words when the other side is simply playing the game in a normal way? Thank you.

I really did miss it, damn... To be fair, I completely agree with the healing one, but removing it from the generator is the one that gets me, it greatly hurts her map pressure.

Also before you get all sassy, Dedicated Servers cause just as many misses as they do hits. It's a give and take that no one is happy with.

Ah, dont worry, I know, I know. Nobody is happy with Dedicated Servers, but at least the Devs released them. And they will never be gone (this sounds like a horror story).

  • I think it is this in the Patch Notes:

    • Fixed an issue that caused Survivors to be hit by projectiles that visually appear to pass over their head while performing various interaction's animations.

    But yes, this got changed.

But dont worry, you still get your BS Hits because of Dedicated Servers. :]

  • You know what will happen?

They band-aid fix with breakable Walls. From what I have read, the majority of players is unhappy with Breakable Walls, because instead of being a strategic tool for the Killer, they are either needed to be broken to remove a strong Loop (Saloon) or make Structures braindead to play as Killer.

And this will happen for every Map. Rework Ironworks so that this Window is not present/as strong? Nah, put a breakable Wall there, which the Killer has to break in order to have a better experience.

People complaining about Cowshed and the ability to spawn strong Tiles back to back? Breakable Walls!

  • Yay, getting punished when playing with your friends. <3 <3 <3

I mean, surely every 4 man SWF is a highly coordinated Squad. At least this is what people are claiming.

btw. how many SWF-Threads are you planning to do so? You seem to be quite sensitive about this topic.

  • Would not be a good idea. People have hundreds of them, because they used to be brown Add Ons.

(Which is a bad move in general tbh...)

  • @TragicSolitude said:

The game has a design problem at its core. The devs say the first three gens are supposed to pop quickly, then the game slows down as the killer only has four gens to patrol. There are a couple problems with this, though.

One, it's demoralizing for the killer, because it just feels like the survivors are breezing through their objective. The killer either gives up (I've seen this plenty), going afk, or they feel stressed; neither of these states is conducive to a sense of "fun." It's not like the game at any point teaches killers the finer points of gen pressure, so the average player who isn't hanging out on these forums is not going to see three gens popping early on as anything other than a match-losing failure on their part.

Two, it's only easier for the killer to patrol the last four gens if those four gens are near each other. If the survivors pay attention, then the final generators are across the map from each other.

This is incorrect. The Devs said that you should not expect to have all Gens up after a few minutes. This is totally different from what you are saying.

They were, however, saying that a Killer can also give up Gens and not patrol them. And I see nothing wrong with that, why should I walk full Map into an area full of Pallets and good Loops, to protect a Gen there? Or, for example the two Gens on Hawkins (the one in the Portal Room and the one upstairs). Those two are horrible to defend, why should I even attempt? It takes so much time to get to them, let the Survivors have them.

And well, if someone calls it a loss if one or two Gens are done, then they might consider playing a different game. You can easily lose two Gens early on and win without any more Gens being done. And the Goal for the Killer is NOT to finish the game without any Gen being done. Since they changed Gatekeeper, you can even get an Iridescent Emblem, even if the first Gens were really fast.

For me it is just logical that the game will slow down when the Survivors are forced into altruistic actions. The first Gen will be the easiest and fastes, while the last Gen will be the hardest. Ressources are gone, maybe not even 4 Survivors are in the game anymore.

Killers simply want it really easy to keep 5 Gens up, but this is wrong. You can win as Killer with two Gens being done early, without any big problem. You just need to start hitting people and then you will notice that the game is going slower.

  • No, it would just mean that a lot of time is wasted. Yes, the Survivor can have Deliverance. Yes, the Survivor can have DS. Yes, the Survivor can have Unbreakable.

But nothing would change the outcome - the Killer will just stand there. If the Survivor gets off the Hook, he waits 1 minute. If the Survivor uses Unbreakable, he will be smacked down again.

There was an idea in this Forum to give Bonus BP to the last Survivor. 3000 in Survival, if they did get hooked before and die to EGC or a yellow Mori. 2000 BPs if they are Onehooked as the last Survivor, 1000 BPs if they are two-hooked as the last Survivor, if I recall it correctly. Would be fine for me, I would take some BPs when getting one-hooked as the last Survivor.

  • I dont see anyone saboing.

  • I had 3 Survivors without sound today (who had sound before), while doing my Spirit Daily. And yes, I am using Stridor.

    So not fixed.

(But thinking about removing Stridor, as long as they dont fix it. No sense in using this Perk when it does not help at all)
