Only the most biased of Survivor mains demand a change simply because they don't like an item.
Because throwing a temper tantrum; it's easier than getting good.
Not that you need to get any good with Huntress to get a 4K with Iri Heads. I used Iri Heads in one of my first 10 Huntress games and I got an ez 4K with 4 Gens left, while before I only got 1K at max. But yeah, I think it just "clicked" in my head for that one game.
But at least this is nothing that needs to get discussed, Iri Heads will go when Huntress get her Add On Rework.

Yeah, its honestly kinda stupid that Snapping Out gets Priority over mending. IMO something that can be changed since Doc is a strong Killer and will not get hurt by changing it.

Considering how soul guard is just that, yes. Were not asking for trail of torment to be busted, trail of torment is in contention for one of the worst perks rn.
Soul Guard is meta? Cool, I guess I have slipped into a different game, because in my DBD-games I dont see Soul Guard ever.
@Topic:
If the Devs really want to have an indicator that the Perk is used, it should be a map-wide sound. Then Survivors would know that the Killer is undetectable, but they would not know where he is.

Nothing to say? I'll accept that, even though what I said directly has something to do with what you said, but okay! Keep looking through the window from one side.
Surely Killer Abilities can be altered while this cannot be done for specific Survivors. Because Survivors are only Skins, this is nothing new. And the Devs wont start to give some Survivors advantages or disadvantages. Like that David can stun the Killer longer or that Meg runs faster or whatever.
So, I dont really get your point.

But yet when they nerf survivor's it's the end of the ######### world for y'all! "They nerfed insta-heals" or "They nerfed looping and my perks" yeah sure they might have nerfed things for whatever reason, but "WHAT CHANGES ABOUT YOUR MECHANIC'S, TACTIC'S, AND PLAYSTYLE?" Survivor's are nothing but different skins and voice's. To where as ner.. "Reworking" a killer tweaks their mechanic's, forces the killer to plan out their tactic's differently, and changing those 2 things changes the killer's playstyle. Every killer is unique and not some Copy & Paste, and slap a different skin and voice on!
And? This has nothing to do with my Post.
-
Can you also use Moris? Very often? So that Killrates skyrocket and Moris get nerfed sooner?

No, sorry, you clearly not trying to see any of this from BOTH survivor side and killer side.
The way hags power works isn’t healthy for this game and needs to be reviewed.
Firstly let’s look at this from the killer side. Hag’s power can be completely neutered by one item that’s pretty abundant. And one perk in the entire game can also render Hag completely powerless. No one item, and no one perk should sway the odds so much that the killer is entirely powerless.
Flip the coin however and survivors that just happen to unfortunately not have flashlights, or Urban Evasion, are quite frankly completely screwed. If a Hag wants to play scummy, the survivors may as well just stand there and die. There’s simply ZERO counter to getting away from any hook, let alone safely out of the basement.
Oh wait... (sniggers hysterically and maniacally), they can crouch walk. What a joke. It’s 100% pointless even trying to do this because the minute she hears that unhook notification she starts heading back to a) make sure she is within teleport range and b) because every Hag knows it’s simply not possible for any survivor to get far enough away from a hook simply by crouching. So either way the survivor doing the “correct” thing is still down and back on the hook anyway.
Neither of these extremes are healthy for survivor or killer.
I hope Hag is next on the devs firing line. The power needs to be adjusted so that it cannot be neutered so completely that she simply has zero power when there are flashlights at play, likewise survivors need a healthier way to deal with her power so that they have SOME semblance of a chance to get away from the hook without any such counter being so strong that Hag has no power.
100% agreed to everything you wrote. Well said.

Would be interesting. The buff to balance it out should be 115% then imo.
Honestly, I dont know. It would need to be tested, but being less oppressive at Unhooks for a better Chase Potential is nothing I would say "No" to. If it turns out that Hag is more enjoyable to play as and against and she has roughly the same Power Level, I would totally be happy whatever they would do.

He’s just being biased. He obviously abuses this mechanic and that’s why he’s ignoring FACTS. I play killer more than survivor, but I’m not going to lie and say her power in the basement is fair as it really isn’t. You shouldn’t just accept that if you’re hooked once in the basement, that’s game over. In what way does that make any sense? And we all know what the hit boxes are like. Sometimes going down isn’t a choice. 😂
I mean, sure, it is the Survivors fault for going down. And I also think that Basement Saves should be harder to do. But against a Hag, it is almost impossible, as long as she is not playing super-nice by not coming back.
So yeah, I agree that it should not be the death of that person. But on the other hand, I dont go for rescues against a Hag in the Basement.
-
If the Survivors cannot see it, the Killer should not see it as well. I would have loved to keep the Bug where the other Survivors Rank was visible, because it gave me an indicator how much I have to try in a game. If I saw that there is a Rank 19, I would rather not mess around too much.
But I think the Killer should get less information (aka no Profiles/Names, Model and Items are still visible) instead of more information. Dodging should not be encouraged, which was the reason why they removed the visible Ranks for Survivors. So they will not give it to the Killer instead.
I mean, not that this will matter in the future with MMR being in play eventually.

What's not to love about Hag. She is the best camper in the game, encourages crouch walking which I absolutely love and your camera turns towards her if you set off a trap which can screw over your looping. So what's not to love lol
I mean, it appears that she is in the next Tome. Which forced me to level my Hag. She is as enjoyable to play as her as to play against her for me. Meaning, I dont really like it. Killer is about the chase for me and not about trapping the ######### out of areas and waiting that somebody steps into it.

Who's fault is it for getting hooked in the basement?
I thought Survivors should go down eventually? So, its the game? There is not really anything where the Hag outplays a Survivor when it comes to Hook Rescues. Really, nothing.

The reason I dont address all your comments is because its silly. You dont need a perk to crouch, you dont need a perk to use a flashl;ight which can be found in any chest.
You are making excuses where I was trying to encourage you to play better instread you want to argue about Hag being OP.
LOL she cant do anything unless YOU trigger her trap, periodt.
Its quite easy to understand - if someone is in the Basement, they are dead. Sure, a Survivor can get down without triggering any Traps. But then? Getting up takes some time, while the Hag is already on her way back. Dont know how you get outplayed here, you cannot run because then a Trap would be triggered and you are super-slow to get away, which allows the Killer to be back.
-
I would not say that the Change of Franklins is a Change for Keys or anything. Keys got more counterplay, but thats it. Both, Keys and Moris, need serious adjustment.
But hey, got told by a Ghostface with a total playtime of 72 hours that Moris require Skill. So maybe they are fine. :]

-
Personally, I would love to allow to walk (not run) over Traps, but Buff her Basekit as a compensation (like more Distance, faster setting Speed).
But yeah, currently, if someone is in the Basement against Hag, they are dead. I dont go for Unhooks in this case, there is no point.
-
Kinda.
I think that changing his Add Ons would have been enough. Mostly Tuning Guide, Engravings and Cooldown Add Ons.
However, the game evolved a lot and Killer is the easiest it has ever been. It is just logical that stuff, which was ok a few years ago will be touched now. Because DBD 2017 is not the same like DBD 2020 when it comes to Killer experience.
-
Of course they are. Whenever a Killer gets touched, they act like the game is destroyed. Every ######### time.
-
The strong green Add Ons (not talking about the Chain or the Chassis here) are too strong anyway. Especially for greens. So you should expect them to be nerfed as well.
I mean, just look at Tuning Guide.

You have it with other Items as well, the animation changes. Like, if you had a Toolbox and you get rid of it, the arm is still like he had the Toolbox in hand.
But it is most noticeable with a Flashlight.
Never thought I would have a numb arm in a videogame.

He is saying that there was A LOT more room to nerf survivors than there was to nerf killers. So yes obviously survivors have received more nerfs because they have been ridiculously strong. From what i remember killer vaulting was 3 SECONDS long, survivor vaults were even faster to the point even normal jungle gyms were near infinites
Well, I see that he called me a biased idiot despite playing both sides at Rank 1. And I also said from the beginning that the Survivor Nerfs were justified.
But Killers are always so butthurt if a Killer gets a Nerf. Because, lets be real, Killer is the easiest it has ever been. And if a Killer was ok in 2017, this does not mean that he is ok in 2020 as well.

It's not about the skin look here, it's about that you can't mix and match it with other cosmetics.
Do you think that they will just stop making sets because of a few posts here and there? You will most likely see added only locked sets for now on, because it takes less effort and it's sold at the same price.
People like you that take dev's defense for lazy decisions make the games worse.Learnt that from Paladins, don't need this in DBD, thanks
Well, looks like linked sets will be the exception and not the rule:

Actually, I thought the reverse.
I speculate this will screw SWF more, and here’s my thought process.
Franklin’s will now show the item aura to the killer, giving the killer another point of interest on the map to potentially find easy downs. If this is say a key, those survivors are probably going to be desperately communicating how to coordinate picking that key up before it’s gone for good in 90 seconds. And it looks like on new Bubba that trying to retrieve a dropped item that Bubba can more easily guard will lead to some tense moments.
I thought that the person who lost the Item will be in a chase for a while, so for SWF it would be easier to get the Item back, because they can tell tehir friends were it is.
But your point is true as well. I guess if the Killer decides to defend the dropped Item, it can really be gone after those 90 seconds. Which could be a huge thing when it comes to Keys.

You know, the cool part about money is that the person who has it, can decide how to spend it. I can choose to pay the 10 Euros for a Skin nobody likes. Or I can eat those 10 Euros. I could even spend more of my money to give it to someone so that this person eats my 10 Euros.

Current franklin's or the new one that just got announced? Because the current one is really not worth it unless you want to be dropping their item a lot, they can still get a key and use it even if it's out of charges as far as I know.
The new one sounds slightly worse but I can't say until the ptb.
The new one is better, because the Item will actually disappear eventually. However, this will mostly affect Solo Players. In general, I think Franklins is an annoying Perk, but it got better IMO.

I think it will not affect normal gameplay that much, but will get rid of VPNing. There will most likely still be Hits which look odd, but it is what it is.

@Todgeweiht said:
Dude, the devs are about release the most devastating nerf to flashlights in the form of a perk that literally disables your ability to get blinded.
To be fair, this is not that much of a difference to current Lightborn. It is already highly inefficient to try to blind someone with Lightborn. It takes like 4 or 5 seconds, you will only get the Blind when the Killer keeps looking at the Flashlight and even then, a good bunch of the Flashlight is gone.
Surely Lightborn got buffed (immunity is better than "just takes very long" + the Aura Read), but blinding against Lightborn was (almost) impossible before as well.
-
If we would have nerfed Killers every time Survivors got nerfed, there would be no Killers ingame anymore, lol. Dont act like Killers get constant Nerfs, the Survivor Side got way more Nerfs (which were also justified) than Killers.
But its that again - there is a thing that affects Killers and again they are the victims of the evil Devs. Because Killer is so hard to play.

That's garbage and you know it. Hillbilly like every other killer deserves to have good add-ons too, not the same Carburetor tuning guide and light chasis every match day in and day out.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1409559#Comment_1409559
Yeah, because he doesn't possibly need to be any better. He's already at or near the top, a slight tune down that barely has any real significance on whether a hillbilly can play well is hardly going to be noticeable.
Yeah, I mean, I also mostly was like "Just a few Add Ons need changing", mainly Tuning Guide and Cooldown Add-Ons IMO. But I can get why BHVR are doing what they are doing. And so far I would say it will not make Billy terrible.
But that is just my current opinion, when he is on live, I might end up saying "What the ######### did they do to him?!", lol. But overall, I am more curious about the full list of Changes (the Add-Ons are missing), because I played Billy a lot recently.

It would be incredible p2w if "licensed Killers should be a little op". This is luckily not the case at the moment, most Killers can be bought via Shards.

Players would just dodge if they see it in the Lobby.
Having the same Perks is btw. no Indicator at all. Survivors only have like 6 Perks which can be considered Meta, just logical that the Builds all look roughly the same.

The best billies chainsaw almost 24/7. Ofc at god loops they m1 because its the only thing possible, But what makes billy, billy is the versatility of the chainsaw among these 1% and aspiring 1%, doing this guts them and makes the learning curve a straight upward line.
From my experience, the Hillbillys who use the Chainsaw the most are not the good ones. Sure, there are exceptions (like, played a match against Dowsey a few weeks ago, he was only going for M2 and he is damn good at it), but most of the time Hillbillys who go for Chainsaws 24/7 think they are a god because it works against Potatoes. But once they go against some semi-decent Survivors, they only lose with this strategy.

What about testing first? I mean, it is usual on this forum to speak about "Dark Times" when something happens to a Killer, but just test it. It will only really punish bad Hillbillys. Those who think they are gods when they M2 every Potato but will struggle against any semi-decent Survivor.
