Also I never cried about noed nor am I crying about ruin. You're just too dumb to see the positives of this rework idea.
Also I'm suggesting you're legion mains too so it's a little hypocritical to say my idea is so bad when you play the most stupid and unfun killer in the game. You people make nurse mains look fun.
And maybe my idea isn't perfect. Maybe all hex perks should take longer to cleanse. That is a separate issue but I do agree with you. The cleanse speed should be determined by the number of dull totems present.
-
To all of you complaining saying this is a nerf to ruin you are literally clueless. Ruin is the exact same. Just that hitting a hex skill check reduces the amount of skill checks you get.
If you fail a skill check then you will get another skill check within seconds until you pass the marker for that gen progression to be reached. This will be done by being bumped back to the last marker so you can attempt the skill check you missed again. No rng makes it better for killer. Hitting great hex skillchecks makes survivor have less skillchecks. Simple.
And I'm not a survivor main nor am I a killer main. The reason why you say this is such a bad idea is because you rely on ruin so much that in fact you are the one who cries when that's under threat. In my idea ruin is the exact same.
The fact is that ruin is boring and encourages slow, dissatisfying gameplay on both sides when you get so many skill checks or survivors getting 1 or 2 skill checks per gen through rng.
My idea gaurentees 8 skill checks per ruin generator which infact is a buff for ruin. The only time survivors get less skill checks is when they hit the hex skill checks they are given.
If you fail to admit what a boring perk Ruin is then how can you talk down my idea which makes it more rewarding for attempting to push through it encouraging survivors to be doing something so they can be found rather than crouching in a bush as they hear the tr and must search for totem.
One of the main reasons totems are destroyed so early is because everybody hates ruin because its boring again. Don't know how many times I need to say it but you're in denial if you think its a fun perk.
-
There's definitely gonna be an addon to instadown with corrupt vile purge. Imagine multi downing survivors.
-
@PreGum This is far from a nerf to ruin. It still has the same purpose except there is a guarantee that hex skill checks are rewarded with less skill checks when successfully hit.
Survivors will want to try working on the gen more often as they have the certainty that they won't get a million skillchecks. In fact having a base 8 ruin skill checks is a very decent amount for each survivor to have to slow down gens as killer.
Nothing to do with the totem itself, its how ruin functions. You said it yourself its tedious and boring to use whether killer or survivor.
-
Having the marking on the gen progression bar isn't needed to be fair.
-
@PreGum Ruin isn't fine. Ruin is anti fun-gameplay and only is so widely used because it's needed to slow down gens.
The purpose of hex ruin remains the same. Just a few tweaks to encourage dynamic and more intense gameplay.
-
Normally its hit or miss with the responses I get on these meta perk rework suggestions. I think this would be a well received rework.
-
The plague can attack normally and vomit on interactables. Hardly overpowered but far from underpowered.
The Plague seems most like Huntress but a little faster. Instead if hatchets you get a splurt of vomit which will obviously have add ons which make it more troublesome for survivors.
I feel like the only reason people are comparing her to nurse is because they assume smoke equals teleport just like nurse. I say read up on the ins and out before being so skeptical.
-
The quicker you start tunneling the sooner you won't have this achievement to get. It's only 25 times give it a toxic tunneling hour or two and go back to playing normally.
-
It could have been perfect but instead it's just pretty good in terms of map.
This dlc is likely my favourite yet and it's not even out yet so there's more to grasp.
Just instead of grass they could have replaced it with sand then it would be perfect along with a slightly bigger underground/inside area.
-
I think it's good to point out that The Plague only becomes fatal once you have been mobile (running around) or doing objectives for a considerable about of time. Not a timer like the pig.
I feel like adrenaline will not get rid of the Plague status if thats what its called.
-
Its impossible to headshot Jane her hitbox is pear shaped. From the neck to the big ass booty.
-
People will complain because they are too lazy to adapt even if it's now less troublesome.

You should read up on purgatory; how the belief in it originated, how it spread, and so on. It's a new realm.
Aha It's Red Forest. Remember the entity pulls in the killers and survivors. Map looks really good as does everything else about this chapter.
-
I hope they don't wait for the FW to get home before release. It would make sense to have it today or tomorrow and the FW get first dibs on playing it and giving instant feedback.
-
Expect little and then be impressed upon release. You're all hyping over appearance alone. Enjoy the solid facts when they come. Just be wary that disappointment has happened before
-
What realm do you think the new dlc will be in?
A new one or will it be added to asylum or huntress realm?
Temple of purgatory sounds asylum or new realm.
-
Killer Perk - Where do you think you're going? - Spawn 2/3/4 fake exit gates. Doors must be opened to reveal whether its a real escape route. Doors open slightly faster.
If someone opens a fake door any real escapes are blocked (from exit gate to actual escape) and become a MORI DEADZONE which enables the killer to mori you once you get down.
Killers are able to traverse the blocked exit gate. The blocked exit gate will be CONSTANT and will only go once all survivors in that exit gate are DEAD.
"YOU SHOULD HAVE LEFT WHILE YOU COULD😈arggghhhh" Deranged Pirate (1485)
-
Killer Perk - Can you not? - If a generator is repaired within your terror radius, All nearby survivors will be exposed for 60 seconds.
Any items being carried will have the total remaining charges halved and any flashlight blind on the killer will also blind the survivor (flashlight blind effect) at the same time.
-
It's gotta be a perk which goes well on the hag. I think he's a hag main.
-
Killer Perk - Get outta my room - If you enter the basement and there is a survivor present, the entity blocks off the stairs for 10/15/20 seconds OR until either someone enters the dying state.
-
Killer Perk - Deathscalation - Survivors in the dying state will home towards the basement in an escalator fashion leading to their increasingly likely impending death.
Crawl speed is 100%/150%/200%
Survivors can still recover to the normal amount.
-
Survivor Perk - I don't think so - Once you go into the dying state you have the ability to REWIND and reverse any damage taken in the last 15 seconds. You will rewind to the location you were in 30/40/50 seconds ago.
Perk activates when you have been chased for 1 minute. One time use.

Legion needs mending.
-
Freddy buff - Survivors cannot interact while in dream transition. Can only vault and use pallets.
Base power range slightly increased
Survivors who crouch a lot have a stronger aura intensity than more mobile survivors who have a slightly less visible aura.
Nerf - Freddy doesn't see scratch marks in his terror radius unless he's in a chase.
Freddy is more audible in TR so you can discern where his location is better giving survivors a slightly better chance to evade him.
-
I want to hear the really early music from years ago.
-
Didn't a puzzle game called Slashaway Camp get the F13 license. That seemed to look a mess of a game. If so then its possible to see that in future for dbd may be
-
For licenced killers I hope they get creative and think outside the box. I want scissorman
-
Instead of Jason I'll rather have a rip off version called Johnny. All the lawsuits and rights BS is honestly a joke.
Plus having a rip off version instead gives the devs a lot more control over everything concerning the killer. Just as long as there is no reference to F13 im his bio or anything.
-
I say giving Nurse a power gauge bar is an idea for a nerf.
Add ons to let you blink either further distances or a bigger power gauge.
I really don't like the fatigue it puts me off playing her. Maybe change that so it's not so annoying.
-
I don't see the point of fog offerings if the new killer has the ability to adjust it.
Maybe the new killer can create fog which obscures survivor vision but not the killers.
-
Hitboxes is a latency issue. What looks like a solid hit for killers looks doubtful and still registers as a hit for survivors.
Dedicated servers in summer will address hit boxes. At least it should.
-
Zombie bee keeper new killer confirmed
-
Could be a dead bee hive.
-
What if it was like Tracer from overwatch.
When you move you leave trails of smoke.
When you're getting looped you can rewind back to a previous position and either strike the survivor with a basic attack or use a special attack which does something freaky and interesting like emits dark mist around every survivor obscuring their vision and making the general area apparent to the killer.
I know Tracer doesn't do all that. Btw😃
-
I think its all about latency. Choppy connection from killer to each survivor makes hitboxes a little...wobbly and wonky.
-
Legions who tunnel you and teammates who do nothing are really unfun. Especially when you pretty much have to wait to heal twice over with the mending rubbish.
-
Hey devs over here *holds up flare whilst carving 'help' on the sandy beach*
-
As much as I've personally given a lot of stick out to the FW you mention you have to accept that this is in the past and the moment to criticize is just too beyond that reasonable point.
The devs had a word with this person and there was a mutual agreement to stop and it's been fine since.
Don't dig dirt back up. FW are FW for a reason. Give them the opportunity to show themselves in a good light for they deserve it as the advocates of this game.
I hope they try to keep the FW lineup diverse. They're doing pretty good so far but it cannot be right to have FW who share the same ideals in terms of balancing and whatnot.
-
Id like it if the incence burner starts a timer which emits smoke from the very start of the match and as the game progresses it thickens the fog loads so you cannot plan routes from pallet to pallet.
I can imagine an ultra rare being where you see the survivors aura when outside terrir radius if they have been in the mist recently. A little like how freddy currently sees aura. -
Caustic?
-
Oops I misread it. Thought it said Denise of the faithful not Demise.
Sounds more like the faithful ones are the ones trying to escape rather than the killer.
Whats a heretic because I can imagine a mad cult guy being called The Heretic as a killer name. -
The Warden or The Jailor or The Thicc fog
Smoke incest burners to teleport across map?
Smoke could be to disrupt the environment and obscure killer movement? -
Who's Denise?
-
Borrowed totem just makes me think another killer somewhere is missing a dull totem.
-
@not_Queen we'll keep you posted on any issues we have. Also you said there was a fix in the next update. When will that be?😀
Shush everybody. -
Pallets frustrate me.
If I stun the killer surely they shouldn't be able to hit me. Latency makes pallets so unreliable it's insane.
UGGGGHHHHHHH
-
This is my little vent thread to just complain about the game. Being a console player tends to leave you feeling ignored and insignificant.
-
Whenever I'm lobby dodged the next match is always really laggy I've noticed. The only matches with decent connection are the ones which start up quickly.
-
See anything.
I hope its not a secret to killer looks derpy
