Matchmaking is gonna be even worse for a while, some red ranks didn't get reset at all, some went back to 20 etc. They're meant to be bringing back MMR so assuming they do and it works it might be worth waiting til then before getting into killer.
Also this is more forum advice than game advice but treat pointless comments like the one from @NotACompPlayer the way you would some old dude mumbling to himself on the bus, let it fade into background noise

Yeah they can either decide to be a one shot with no way of hiding all game or give you the nuttiest ranged ability in dbd, which you can still use once regardless of their input

I believe the Microsoft Store players can talk in chat, as a rule of thumb if as PC player you see a globe with spaces in their name, for example "Internet Police" they are Microsoft Store and they can talk, if they dont have any space and their name is a word followed by numbers or they use the _ or - dashes instead of spaces they are console and cant talk in chat, for example "Danny_4" or "Ripper-1990".
I may be completely wrong but as PC player the only globes that can talk in chat are ones with spaces in their names.
I think some consoles (not ps4 tho) can have gaps in usernames. Steam, stadia and windows can all see/talk in pgc

Okay here's a buff/nerf to make it less punishing for solos who do their side objective while making it more punishing for survivors who don't
- any survivor that cleanses two or more totems before the last gen is finished is unaffected by noed
- the exposed effect from noed lasts for 30 seconds after the hex totem is destroyed, plus another 30 seconds for any other totem remaining when the last gen is done

And killers think they can't win without a boatload of gen stopper perks, aura perks. These perks are crutches that killers spam in every single game because they aren't good enough to win without them.
Very hypocritical calling DS busted while crutching on wallhacking perks, perks that stop the other sides objective. In other games, a perk like BBQ would be called a "cheat" and Huntress hitboxes would never happen in other games.
Who's calling ds busted? It seems like a pretty balanced peek to me :)

Well I've stopped trying to defuse a potentially tense pgc with humour...
I said to a killer who invested a lot of time in trying to tunnel me but who I still escaped from "blight please, I only like you as a friend" It didn't go down well
So I stick to gg(wp)

Ghostface or wraith with the brown addon that makes undetectable linger might also work

You aren't supposed to get caught at all. You also aren't supposed to let any gens get done. If a survivor goes down or a gen gets done, the match should end immediately.

I don't run it much but I like it when I have I liked it. My thing is running overkill builds though so it was like sloppy + bloodhound and either wraith with the brighter blood addon or spirit with father's glasses
Current intrigue is nurse with stridor and the horse addon which has the extra stridor effect, can hear them breathing half the map away

This game definitely generates a lot of ...passion. I just take a break whenever it's pissing me off but I'll still come here to get into pointless arguments on balance even if I haven't touched it in a month.

Flawed or not it might be time to switch the MMR on or new players are going to have it even rougher than usual for a while.
This can't be enjoyable for them

I use it. Even if it only lets you escape one chase that can be enough to change the course of the game. PTB version was ridiculous, this version still kinda is, hopefully no content creators start using it regularly bc I'd rather not have any survivors I go against use it, and I really don't want to see 4 survivors running it (stick to 4x DS 4x BT please)

What is with all the bbq op posts recently? Do you need another 10 counters for it to be added? I get it's extremely difficult to position yourself behind a gen, or get in a locker, or stay within 40m, or fake going in a certain direction, or run aura blocking perks, or just do nothing bc who cares if the killer knows where you are when they're more than 40m away unless they're a blight or something

Sweaty yes but it's not like you were trying to make them have a bad time on purpose (I assume) you aren't responsible for the twins' design, them being in the game, or for anyone uninstalling.
Uninstalling is an overreaction anyway seeing as you get about 1 twins game a month as survivor, even if that is too often for my liking

I think they're not giving a straight answer because they thought they'd removed it and, literally minutes after the update was live, it was discovered it was still possible and easier.
So, now they have to get their story together and see if they can actually remove it, or pretend they did what they planned to and act like the rest is intentional.

People who play both sides can be more empathetic but they can also be massive hypocrites as well, i.e. they play survivor and scream about being camped and tunnelled for being downed more than once in the same match then switch to killer and facecamp someone at 5 gens. So sadly it's not automatic

Dead hard is pretty useless against Trickster. Sometimes it can be deadly, but not that much. I have a 156 winstreak on him at rank 1. I lost it a while ago, but I might reset it again when I decide to go back to streaming everyday.
What's your stream? Im pretty useless at trickster so watching some good gameplay might help

Hard for me to imagine that they simply cannot do it. Almost every console game I own has ways to change graphic settings.
Other games on multiple platforms also have m&K support for console but when it's brought up to bhvr they act like you're asking them to rebuild the pyramids.

You know through all the previous drama when a load of us on console
went full gamers rise upexpressed our very valid concerns about the FPS constantly getting worse and the silence on the previously promised optimisation I'd completely forgotten that pc users have that option.Now I'm on an (average) pc and occasionally it'll switch itself back to ultra for no reason and my performance tanks, it's like being on console again. Back to low or medium and it's fine. It'd be a band-aid solution but like a really simple and probably effective one, no idea why they haven't done it.

ttvs if I'm not in the mood (most ttvs I've had good experiences with but sometimes I just don't feel like being watched even if it is just their grandma)
or someone with a bigoted username because then I'd be inclined to tunnel them or make them bleed out and I'd rather play normally
Multiple blendettes I'll dodge as survivor if queue times aren't too bad
Flashlights I'm fine with, by all means chase me around for the saves all match instead of doing gens
Keys are annoying but meh I'll take em
