Def running it on blight, hitting a survivor 10 seconds into the match is pretty satisfying and I'd like more of it
Also I run object a lot so bring it on

I was having an aneurysm seeing Nemesis
I thought we were keeping that between us...

Also, Spirit is EXTREMELY harmful for many killer players. When she eventually gets nerfed, we’ll have a Freddy 2.0 situation where many killers at red rank legitimately don’t know how to play the game without a busted killer and complain about it being impossible to play. People who play her generally do so because she can consistently 4k with little skill, and when she’s harder to play, they’ll derank like crazy.
Yeah you can usually tell the ones who ranked up solely with spirit or freddy (until recently) and are trying out a different killer. Usually zero attempt at mindgames or much of an understanding of how to play tiles correctly at all. Then they get frustrated, blame it on balance, genrush, swf etc and decide only their main is truly "viable" at high ranks.
The other ones who can end up in red ranks before they can manage it are legion mains although that's for different reasons
-
If it was nemesis and Jill they could put in a fun interaction where he says his voice line upon starting a chase with her. It's also likely he'd have obsession perks
-
It's not all been good but it hasn't been all bad either. A very strong killer who a lot of people find fun to play as and against, the two most hated survivor perks nerfed without becoming useless, a lot of maps got better, wraith is now good - who expected that to ever happen?
-
I legit hate keys more as survivor, the "teammate" who brings one always seems determined to get the killer's attention before jumping in it mid chase (because you can't just leave unless the killer watches you leave obviously)

hmmmm survivor stats i can understand combining but i certainly hope it won't combine killer stats to determine rank, that'll be..... so so bad.
Plenty of killers i don't exactly bring my A game on. Wether i get the wild masochistic urge to practice Nurse in red ranks or goof around on traps only trapper or use some meme build just to do (/farm) for a tome, i'd wager more than half my killers have god awful stats. Then i end up matched with Oni or Pyramid head or Huntress or Deathslinger vs "average" stated survivors and nobody has fun....
During the MMR test I only had time to play two games, one was a quick queue, demogorgon with a strong swf team who battered me (it didn't feel in any way "unwinnable" I just missed some snowball opportunities) and one with huntress, 10 minute queue and brand new survivors. So it's a noticeable difference

Ive never read the book "1984", but I believe the chat censorship is a brilliant representation of the ideas presented by Orwell in the book.

I never watched the movie.
Speaking of classic books, ever read All Quiet On the Western Front? The 30s movie adaptation was actually really good.
I did part of my dissertation on it :)

The level of effort makes that unfair. It shouldn't take four survivors on comms all with hundreds of hours to beat a wraith. That doesn't make wraith balanced. No single person should be entitled to win all the time because they picked wraith.
Says the former regular user of iri head huntress and 3-blink nurse
-
Neptune the mouldy shark from RE1 as killer
The annoying Steve from RE:CV as survivor
-
A licensed killer on the level of nurse or spirit? Is that really a good idea?
-
Slinger. If I hear that gun in the distance those gens are getting smashed, and if he can't hit me we're going on a fun W-holding chase from one edge of the map to the other. At least we can be bored together.
-
Okay so there's actually websites and software people can use to increase their hours (steam allows this apparently, also I'm not promoting this or anything it's just...interesting)
One boasts that you can have up to 32 games idling at the same time
As to why you would want to do this, let alone pay to be able to do this, is beyond me.
Also I'm not saying she uses one of these, she might just leave it open. Maybe she likes the background music?

Is it wrong that I, for one second only, thought about bragging that I've pulled more survivors into the Dream World than she did?
Also does that stat mean old freddy only, or is it just when anyone falls asleep now?

How do you find those stats? That has me curious.
Anyway, I can't imagine playing DBD to that extent. That implies you don't have a job, or leave the house, and at no point did you ever get bored. There has to be farmed hours in there.
I googled dbd players with most hours (she's in the top ten) which linked to her steam profile, and she links to her stats herself from the description on there.
-
I found her stats, I think she might like huntress a bit more than trickster
-
I think I'd be too fascinated to see how someone with 23k hours plays to dodge. Fascinated and terrified

"Here's a video against a survivor who does literally everything wrong. This proves Spirit has no counterplay."
Why don't you go next then?
-
1) All characters start with their own perks at level 3
2) New players can get 2 survivor perks and 2 killer perks from the shrine without using shards
3) delete map offerings for more bloody party streamers (has the nice side effect of deleting map offerings)
-
Nerf for spirit, rework for legion, general jank fix for plague

Seriously? On one hand I'm surprised because I thought that this was a pretty extreme example. On the other hand I'm not, because being perceived as a "winner" is just THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN LIFE for some people.
Pretty much, yeah

Just imagine joining a Marathon, where the entire point is to run somewhere, and caring that much about a plastic trophy where you just drive to the finish
that is pathetic on a whole other level
She was supposed to be doing it for charity as well...

It's just...sad.
It's like someone entering a marathon around the city or something and secretly driving to a block away from the finish line. I would ask "In what way do you seriously derive anything resembling a sense of accomplishment for not using your skills or abilities to actually accomplish anything"?
I mean in this game it's even worse since wins don't mean anything. There is no scoreboard, there is no ticker tape parade. You're just...well, cheating yourself to first place for no real benefit other than the same cycle of gameplay that the people who don't win also get. The guy might as well design a program where he presses a button and the match just ends with him "winning". I mean if the goal of winning is SO important to someone's fragile little ego that they aren't even going to play the game properly, why play at all? In fact, why not just print himself a Tshirt that says "officially recognized number 1 worldwide DBD player" and save himself hours and hours of time?
A girl from my class back in high school did that exact thing in the London marathon. She got caught and bc her brother was vaguely famous it ended up in the national news

Honestly, no. I typically bully Hags I come across in solo queue. Shutting down their traps is easy.
So do I, but I'm pretty sure most hags I go against are doing a daily or a challenge

Agreed, the hexes should be something that would be insane *if* it couldn't be removed from the match. Imo the only two that don't fit are huntress' lullaby and blood favour
(yes third seal and crowd control need to be removable)

M+K was natural to me as killer when I still had a PC because I only played nurse. My left hand doesn't really have the dexterity to allow me to move like I can on console.
I also like controller left hand mouse right but since a couple of patches ago that causes massive lag and it's probably too niche for them to even notice let alone fix

I am def above average, but still, console isn't bad by any means.
M&K just felt extremely natural to me on killer. On survivor the opposite, had to bully myself into learning it when my controller broke

I'm a nurse main on console, and I got adept blight the day he came out.
His recoil isn't hard to deal with if you know how to exploit it. Just tap the button instead of holding it, and you get basically no recoil.
You might just be really good. I switched to pc from PS4 and when I tried killer on PS4 again I was like how the ######### did I ever manage to do this

I meant that only for Smash Hit, my bad for weird wording.
No you're fine I think it's me reading it in a weird way.
I do get really good distance with smash hit but it makes me more inclined to camp pallets when I run it which isn't ideal
-
Head on isn't affected by enduring
This is interesting though, thanks
-
I like Claire but it's a stretch imagining her being afraid of some of the killers we've got. Then again we have Bill and Cheryl
-
They should rework them to be identical twins, if victor was the size of charlotte the hits would make more sense
-
Enduring is nice because it makes stuns pretty meaningless, it can be nice on legion too if you can bait them into stunning you our of frenzy once you've got some stabs in which is much quicker than the fatigue
-
I'm fine with new wraith but he could do with his addons being looked at again. All-seeing might be a bit much now. Bone clapper maybe bumped up to green. And the windstorm addons made into something more interesting.
-
Statistically it's probably nurse
@Almo this seems like the sort of thing you might have data on
-
I find clown pretty boring to go against, and I find blight interesting. Clearly I secretly think clown is OP

Not really, reshades can give you and advantage. For example Tarkov banned reshade, because it was possible to create settings that would make game brighter and you wouldn't have to use NVG or characters' models would be much easier to see. I don't know if those settings are doing it or not, but I don't think reshades should be allowed in multiplayer game, for that very reason.
I get it gives advantages (not that I'm completely innocent with my nvidia filters although nothing approaching this level) but I wouldn't really care if I went against someone using this, if this is what they need to win that's unfortunate but mostly for them
-
Lmao
"It just makes it look nicer"
Playing with whatever that is looks like punishment in itself honestly
-
@CoalTower said:
Maybe. But I hope not. It'll dampen the celebration for us console players.
You're not missing much. Killer queues take forever, the killer you get as survivor might be the new one or some comedian will play slug nurse instead, your teammates will do stuff like dc'ing on their first down because you can, you're better off watching a streamer or something
-
The most insane 2nd chance survivor build is
No mither: can literally pick yourself up infinite times
Unbreakable: for getting up even faster
Deliverance: not only a free self unhook but with no mither there's not even a downside
Mettle of man - another free health state and bc you can't heal you avoid the aura reading downside as well
-
They aren't terrible just tedious to play. Well the running around stabbing everyone part is fun but essentially getting d-striked every time you finish using your power less so
-
@Power_Guy said:
It's the new Survivor buzzword! Want a Killer nerfed? Claim he's 'boring' or 'unfun' and a danger to 'the health of the game'!
That way, it's not because you don't like the Killer, no! You're looking out for the game when you ask for nerfs to Killers you don't like...I mean, are 'boring'!
You need to stop with the tinfoil hat stuff, bhvr have never nerfed a killer bc someone said they were boring ("boredom" doesn't show up in statistics, which they are obsessed with) and the survivor shadow council hasn't decreed that all killers must be called boring until they get nerfed into the ground, despite, again, this never happening before.
I know it's hard to believe that some people have different preferences, or that going against your noed/stridor spirit or whatever might not be the most fascinating experience on the planet for everything, but fun is subjective.

Oh that's interesting. Gonna level my Laurie again. Waiting until she gets MoM 1 and see how it works. I think the issue with that will be that most Killers are sth like Slinger, Blight, Spirit, Nurse and so on. So I think you have to be lucky.
I also think people will be like " thats so op" even if it's not bc you waste 2 perks and it won't work on any Killer. You also have to build it up (3 hit tanks, 4 heals)
But I think it's cool that people discovered it and there may be 1 or 2 games with some funny moments.
It took a few tries and I got a couple of plagues in a row which dooms an attempt from the start
-
@Friendly_Blendette said:
I mean damn you got MoM props to you.
I couldn't have done it without the help of my unwitting research assistant, I felt an appropriate reward was getting to kill the annoying laurie

Survivors can be a bit clueless. Back during the "grab a a survivor out of a locker with iron maiden challenge" I went looking for the killer after not having seen them all match, it was a legion in shack hitting a locker repeatedly while my 3 teammates just teabagged confusedly. Maybe they just didn't trust her

Serves them right

It involved following the blight around a lot and throwing myself in front of any injured survivor (throwing in general tbh). Worth it
