Textures didn't load, either your settings are too high or your computer needs an upgrade. Never looked at the settings in DbD but I do know every time I see this in other games I can generally just lower one or two things like shadows or water and it fixes. Your milage may vary.

Happens sometimes on my ps4 aswell.

  • Pick the one you like the most.

I really enjoy both of them. For diferent reasons.

  • Sometimes, pretending to go for a window/pallet but suddenly changing direction > jumping the window/pallet

They surely won't release a Halloween event after Halloween. Has to be Tuesday/Wednesday imagine if it isn't they'd be the only devs i've ever heard of to do Halloween after the holiday lol.

Plus they have a Q&A this week which usually happens after the updates.

I can't imagine the meltdown if that happens. People were mad about a delay but going past the holiday?

We could call it a thanksgiving event... XD

  • "The Old Legion, for example, removed that. There was no counterplay. No matter what, you were going to go down (eventually) even if it took a while. At that point, the interactive multiplayer component was removed - you were just basically playing "The Legion Cutscene.""

You can say that about any killer. If any killer wants you to go down, you will.

Fun to go against is a matter of opinion.

As for the OP's position. It's ridiculous. I am however curious if it wouldn't mess a Spirit player up have no scratch marks to follow.

    So...mother-daughter ring?

  • Congratulations!

    You have joined the problem.

Why try to be better if you can just cry about it?

And not only that, every time someone gives a different opinion you say they are clearly biased and wrong

In my own experience, which I have written down, (meaning, it's not just my opinion, it's the observable truth) spirit got 2.66 kills per match on average.

Staying behind michael, pig, huntress, wraith, freddy and leatherface.

    And tying with nurse

Well...guess they are all op, better nerf them all.

But hey, no need to trust me. This is from behaviour

so would using this make lunge normal as in tier 1 it's decreased. anything else? or is this a pointless add-on?

I don't know the exact effect, maybe it makes the lunge the same as in tier 2...maybe a little less...idk

    What is a pointless addon?

The scratched mirror or the tier1 lunge increase?

Because both are meant to be used together and don't really work by themselves

  • @bomb1720 said:

can someone tell me what is best to be used with the scratched mirror? when i saw this post i thought you were gonna be talking about me, thankfuly not. i used faster stalking speed and not realizing how pethetic my lunge would be. he literally waves the knife just past his chest, like he has arms of a t-rex, lol

The brown one that gives a better lunge

  • @Fibijean said:

They might have forgotten they had the streamers, but it's also possible that their game crashed. I've had my connection drop out at inopportune moments before, which probably made it look to the killer like I was just really salty.

That said, I'm not certain whether it still displays the bloodpoints as nil if they DC'ed by accident.

Let me tell you how the dcing part of the game went...

I hook a guy and he dies, i saw scratchmarks leading behind a haystack(or whatever its called) and find the dude, I hit the dude. He runs a bit, stops, turns towards me and drops his toolbox on the ground.

I was only half paying attention to what he was doing, so I come in with a lunge while he was finishing dropping the toolbox.

I figured he was offering me the item to let him live or something like that. I gesture to him "no" by looking left to right a bit.

I pick him up to hook him, and he dcs before I get to the hook.

After a little search I eventually find another guy, after I down him, he dcs.

Hatch spawns next to me, I close it.

I see that the doors are really close, and after innevitably getting the last guy, I let him escape from my shoulder and give him the door.

Those would have to be really well timed accidental dcs.

Hold on there bud behavior has 100+ devs thats not small thats decently sized its no Triple A but its still pretty big for a dev team.

And game freak has 146, outsources some of it's development and everyone agrees is way too little.

And remember, those 100+ guys aren't working on the same department. There's programmers, artists, etc.

Dude, we understand bugs happen in video games. But since 2016 every time something is added or changed in this game MORE bugs are added. They constantly refuse to fix several bugs in the game (not being able to heal as an example). It's almost like they didn't test the new content until the day before release. If they had tested it sooner, as in a week or two before release, you would think a dev team with half a brain could have it fixed before release. I've never seen a game that constantly creates so many bugs like this one. It's a joke that every other game out there has their Halloween event going on now, but DBD more than likely won't have theirs until AFTER Halloween.

Dude... literally every game gets a million bugs all the time.

The Dbd team is small, it takes time.

Also, you are clearly underestimating the time it takes to fix issues. Specially issues caused by a change in the engine

I can dig that, but if I'm gen defending using both isn't a bad idea. Its not like the two don't stack. If I weren't going to use both, I would replace Surge with Thanatophobia for a little extra gen defense.

They don't stack. You can't kick a "surged" gen.

But they can indeed work together. People do gen tap after all... XD

  • @ChainsawCharlie said:

I'm surprised pretty much nobody has mentioned the obvious here. This wouldn't be a problem at all if survivors weren't gifted the hatch just for being the last one alive. It's ridiculous that 4 or 5 gens will be remaining and the survivor still gets a hatch to spawn and open up for free.

What this does is, no matter what, when there's about 2 survivors left, they just go into super immersive mode and hide at all cost, jumping from locker to locker, and doing absolutely nothing, and whoever gets caught first dies, and the last one escapes through the hatch.

That's the real issue here. Go back to the system that required at least 2 gens to be completed.

ALSO, stop hiding from the killer if you're slugged. If you don't want to bleed out on the floor, maybe don't hide in a corner of the map. You're your own worst enemy at that point. If you don't mind bleeding out, then go ahead and hide but you can't have it both ways.

I only started playing after the egc was a thing.

But yeah, lets go back to the last survivor hiding in a corner somewhere and the killer being unable to find him and/or end the same. Wasting 20 min sounds fun

  • Nah... never liked the mask tbh.

Huh, well i'll admit I could be wrong. I do think that those "Specifics" are important, but whatever.

In the context of your post at the time, you never SAID your point. You just asked if it was "clear enough". So, having looked at the %s you gave and all, it seemed like you were siding with OP.

But hey, context is hard to get across in text. So lets try this: You tell me what your "Idea" was in clear terms instead of being vague, and I'll tell you if your context seemed like that at the start.

Like i said, I could be wrong, I admit that.

Op said the game is too killer sided and he dies 80% to 85% in all his solo games. Also that killers always get 4ks around that same amount.

So I showed the data to show that's not the case at all. In any ranks.

That was my point. Show that the op was just overreacting and that his experience does not reflect the game as a whole.

Sorry if that wasn't clear. :)

as @yandere777 said in there post, the Devs said it was incorrect due to the game lumping rank 1 and 2 together.

    as for what they said

    Survival Rate by Rank

This graph shows the average rate of survival per Survivor at any given rank, per platform. Please note: The data collected is using your rank after the match, so players who depipped from rank 1 down to rank 2 would appear as rank 2 for our purposes. This is likely the reason why you'll notice a large gap between the survival rate of rank 1 and rank 2: Players who survived were more likely to pip and maintain their rank, while those who died were more likely to depip and lose their rank.

This data was also collected between April 1st and April 7th, after the pipping thresholds were originally changed but before they were later tweaked to be more forgiving for Survivors. Because of that, the statistics at this rank are from a small sample size consisting solely of the best players that could maintain rank 1 with the strict pipping conditions.

In other words, yes they only took it from the best, but they lumped rank 2 and 1 together.

also here's some more questions for the vague graph:

Are survivors taken into account where ppl dced? 3 Survivors who have to do 5 gens are more likely to get killed for example.

What killers are being played? I doubt that there have been lots of the trash tier killers for example..

Besides ALL of that, this data is outdated now with recent changes. Even then, the escape rate is FAR higher than if the Devs were "Coddling" the Killers.

So good job finding outdated data that half supported your idea?

I, for one, would like a good back and forth match and not a stomp either way.

I gave you the most up to date data avaiable.

My personal one from this last rank reset and the last one released by the devs.(to my knowledge)

Most of the issues you said are minor. They affect specifics but not the general point. So it's not relevant when we are talking about the general idea.

Which killers were used? The ones being used are the ones people were playing on that rank. Who cares which ones? It's not important when we are looking at the general survival rates.

If you want to see which killers are the most deadly theres one image on that post showing that. But it's not relevant here.

You seem to be under the impression I think the devs are coddling the killers... why are you assuming that?

But hey, since you apparently know what my idea is "good job finding outdated data that half supported your idea"

what is my idea? What do you think I'm trying to say here? Go on... tell me. I'll fact check

yeah cool, the Devs still said the last two were wrong.

Real quick. Last two were confirmed by Devs to be wrong

First one is a random bar chart that looks like it was made for a power point presentation, with no way to confirm it.

First one is mine. Made by me on the first site I found that does it. Using data I collected

And heres the source for the others

Earlier this week, we asked you what statistics you would like to see. Since then, we have collected data on some of the most popular requests and designed some fancy graphics for them. There are a few things to note:

    • This data does not include the recent PTB.
    • Data involving rank was collected shortly before a rank reset (April 1st to April 7th).
    • These are very general statistics, so use caution before drawing any conclusions.

    Average Party Size

This is the overall average, between all ranks and platforms, of how many other Survivors players are queuing up with. More than half of the total Survivors are playing solo, while only 3-6% are playing in a full Survive With Friends group. This is based on the group size out of the total number of matches.

    Party Size Survival Rate

This is the average chance of Survival per Survivor depending on the size of the Survive With Friends group they are playing in. This is an average between all ranks on all platforms.

    Most Popular Killer by Rank

This chart shows which Killer is the most popular depending on rank, per platform. For example, on PC from rank 1-4, nurse is the most popular Killer, while Hillbilly tends to be more popular from rank 5-12. The highest overall usage for any Killer at a given rank is the Nurse at rank 1, coming in at 22.39%.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/398/4A494UUNC0WZ.jpg

    Highest and Lowest Kill Rates

This chart shows the deadliest (yellow) and least deadly (red) Killers per platform. These stats are an average for all ranks. Since there are four Survivors, a 50% kill rate equates to two Survivors escaping and two Survivors dying.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/928/2YVQMEWUS0KN.jpg

    Most Used Perks (Survivor)

This chart shows the most popular Survivor perks based on rank ranges between all platforms. We decided not to display ranks 13-20 as they tend to be more random (newer, lower ranked players tend to use whichever perks they have rather than picking what they want specifically). The numbers displayed are the percentage that perk is used of all perks used at that rank.

    Most Used Perks (Killer)

This chart shows the most popular Killer perks based on rank ranges between all platforms. Like the Survivor perks above, we decided not to show ranks 13-20. The number displayed are a percentage of the total perks used at that rank range.

Is there something that confuses you? Maybe you'd like to know a more precise number on one of these stats? I'll be doing a live Q&A in the official Dead by Daylight Discord server tomorrow at 2PM EST.

There are some interesting things to note in that data. This is a pre-nerf nurse, but there aren't very many nurse games. Overall there is pretty good diversity in killers represented. Even the most common killer you ran into (spirit in your case) only represents 13% of the games you played. There is even more diversity in perks used than I would expect. It's not surprising to see Ruin, BBQ, NOED, PGTW seeing a lot of play, but it is worth noting that Ruin is the only perk used in more than 50% of the games.

It is ps4, the lack of nurse is expected :)
