Just to add a couple things.
How many gens the killers defended on average
How many survived or died in the end of a trial?
With this we can easily say, I'm not dying alone...XD
And just my survival rate

Had a game the other day, the guy were in swf and completely destroyed me.
They even let me attack them at the gate because of how much of a stomp it was.
After the game the guy send me a message saying "im soooo sorry u experienced that"
So you know... nice people still exist :)

@Weck Your rank disparity chart was interesting. Once the devs announced the +6 to -6 range the other week, I found most matches would always give me a couple of survivors six ranks above me, but rarely survivors more than 1 rank lower than me.
Because of that, the end of last season ended very poorly for me!
Are you going to redo the stats this season too?
Oh god no... it takes way too long to write all this stuff down. Maybe at a later point, but not now.

This is amazing work and data. You sir deserve a medal.
Very interesting how Wraith, Huntress and Myers get more kills than anyone else, but I knew that about Wraith. During the "which killer do you hate most" poll someone else ran a month or so back I voted Wraith and not Spirit.
The reason being that I find myself dying to Wraith a whole lot more. Wraith players are very savvy and know how to hunt you down and kill you. It's very, very, VERY hard to juke a Wraith player. You are going down eventually. Wraiths tend to be campers and tunnelers and this really plays into how most survivors play. They get kills easily despite having the reputation of being a weak killer.
Myers I understand because his snowball potential is huge when he smartly manages his Evil Within. But still shocking to see he took the top spot.
Huntress is as expected. She is strong. And Huntress mains tend to be really good at tracking and aiming.
Thank you ^^
A good huntress is terrifying. But a rare breed, specially on console.
@JawsIsTheNextKiller said:
@Mochan I feel that about Wraith. When I play AS wraith, I usually lose. When I play against Wraith I get tunnelled to death and usually lose.
So basically, if anybody in the game is a Wraith, I lose.

What happened there was he went into the game as legion with a full loadout, then used a shard to become the shape. What happens there is if the user doesn't own the character, he plays perkless. (Which i think is horrible to happen in a trial version of killer. At keast give its teachable, but i digress)
Or if he actually owns the character, he starts with whatever loadout is currently equipped to the trial killer.
However when you get to the result screen it shows the original character and loadout before the shard was burned.
I hope that makes any kind of sense
He did have perks.
So that's how it works... ok. It was still kinda fun to see michael with legions pin XD

But if it makes you feel any better, a Michael was using legion addons once. (He used a shard and the addons probably just bugged out, but it was kinda fun... XD)
Ok, I checked and he was the only one off. Gonna just add a little text to clarify

I respect the second answer, if you don't like the nun, you don't like the nun
The first answer however is wrong, it's majority of the reason why the second film was good. The most praise came from the Nun itself, it had so much praise that they made a spin-off film of it
The nun was annouced 5 days after the opening of the conjuring.
"On June 15, 2016, Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema announced The Nun, a spin-off film to The Conjuring 2, which had opened five days earlier."
So I'm pretty sure there was no time to see which character people liked, and they just wanted to make money fast

I don't understand, because that film was bad doesn't mean the villain was awful. Example Nightmare on elm street has many bad films like 2, 4, 5 and the final nightmare
The nun in the conjuring was just a scare. And not part of the reason why the movie was good.
And on her/his own movie, it was the most unscary and inneffective demon I ever saw in a horror film.

Why didnt the guy started disarming the trap?
If he got hit, he could leave through the trapper.
But I do think it works as the girl said, since you had the option to die and end the game, the game wasn't taken hostage

It works against any killer.
But spirit is specially affected by this.

If you wanna match, there's always legion.

I have no problem with OoO vs Ghostface or Wraith. My problem is OoO vs. Pig.
But pig only crounches if shes around people (usually) OoO would probably work better against her than gf or wraith that are in and out of stealth all the time
-
@TAG said:

I think there's a bit of a gap between "downside" and "chance of survival is pretty close to zero (unless the Survivor in question is way better than the Killer)".
There's also 3 and a 1/3 stealth killers in a pool of 17.
Sure, you might pick OoO and completely destroy a trapper or hag. But it also might backfire and you face ghostface or wraith.
It's like how spine chill hard counters stealth killers, but the other way around.
And no stealth killer is always in stealth (besides tier1 myers). You can still use OoO when they are "active"
@ad19970 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/757759#Comment_757759
But that would just lead to yet another perk never being used. We need less useless perks.
3 and a third killers from 17, none of them is considered top tier.
The perk will be fine

I kinda hope that doesn't remain in live, as it could be miserable if the Pig knew at all times which boxes you were heading to.
You chose to use OoO. Gotta deal with the downsides

I dont know what you mean.
all I know that it should not let you transfer between the 2 sides of a safe loop without breaking the pallet or making a whole walk around the loop.
the idea of climbing then walking on top the pallet is so stupid I dont know why we are discussing either.
Because we need to determine if any glitch is being used or not.
Can you share a printscreen of the pallet with the rock?
-
Watch and learn. Don't play against the character, play against the player.
Does he always phase to the pallet? Don't go there.
Does he always fake phasing? Run to the next loop or stand there provocatively(2nd one is more risky)
Does he phase going around stuff to cut you off? Go back
You have at least 2 chases to learn the habits of the player, use that knowledge.

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DfMgM6iUYAA1adY.jpg
After Halloween 2 the original Michael myers mask had already deteriorated too badly from age and mistreatment to be used again. Even by the time of Halloween 2 it was noticeably changed from age and poor handling. Every mask since has been a recreation of the original 1978 mask, ableit at times radically different due to the attitudes and wants of the film makers and mask creators. Halloween 2018 is the only Halloween movie since 2 that has tried to completely recreate the original mask's design ableit with it's own differences such as weathering to recreate aging. In many ways it's funny how despite only appearing in one movie, the original mask is still the most remembered and iconic of all the masks
I guess you can't improve on an already great design
I forgot how ######### the halloween 4 mask was... damn.

1) It's free cosmetics.
It costs $10 and approximately (21,500 player level "Devotion"xp) 13.5 hours of matches to complete the pass as of the PTB numbers available. This is assuming the numbers aren't tweaked to increase or decrease the grind.
2) You earn your money back
No, you have a chance to earn more Auric cells. The money you spent is lost. You can only earn the cells if you complete the pass up to that tier. If you're short, your only option is to purchase tiers for 100 cells each or purchase more cells outright.
3) It doesn't affect gameplay
By design it does. A player without charms or skins will see players with charms and be psychologically driven to purchase the pass to earn the charms themselves. This is the same principle as public loot boxes in other games.
4) Don't want it? Don't buy it.
This is where psychological manipulation comes in and how this system is designed to take advantage of people susceptible to this kind of manipulation. I won't get into such an in-depth topic here, but there have been a few studies in the past few years about the longterm effects of this kind of manipulation. You can also research the "Fear of Missing Out" since it works the same way.
5) BHVR needs the $
Last I checked, their annual revenue is estimated at over $35 million. This is encompassing all their projects and not just DbD. The DLC and cosmetics store have done well enough for the game to reach its current point. The game still has frustrating core mechanics issues that are ignored, but I don't think it's a lack of capital that's preventing the fixes needed.
6) The battlepass rewards aren't guaranteed.
You purchase the pass for the chance to grind for the cosmetics you might want. If you don't grind enough you don't get the cosmetic. The store offers cosmetics for a price and it's guaranteed albeit more expensive. If something comes up and someone can't grind enough then they lose their money and the chance to gain the cosmetic they were chasing. Not to mention losing the auric cell reward leaving them to spend another $10 for the next pass.
7) It keeps the game alive
Wouldn't core balance fixes, overhauls of outdated systems and characters leading to fun and exciting gameplay for both sides keep the game alive too? EDIT: Madjura "If the only way to keep the game is alive by adding menial, paid grind to the game then the game isn't alive, it's just a grind simulator at that point."
1) it's not for everyone, but if you can invest the time necessary for the big rewards it's absolutely worth it.
2)yep
3)it doesn't. Because it changes nothing of the gameplay. And they call way less attention than the regular cosmetics
4)you can get free charms. And the cosmetics will be avaiable at the store later, you won't "miss out" by not getting it now
5) I have no idea how much money they make and/or need... skipping this one
6)how is this an argument FOR the battlepass? Either way, same thing from 1 apply. You have the time to invest in this? Good. Otherwise, you may not want to buy it.
7)are you saying the argument is wrong? Because it sounds like you agree that having a thing in place that gives rewards for continuous play keeps people in the game. Which is the entire point.
No one(to my knowledge) said it's the only way or even the best way, just that it accomplishes keeping people in the game.

I'm sorry but I just don't see it. He takes soo long to set up.
As far as bad Killers go his weaknesses aren't for the normal reasons, since the actual effect of his power is excellent (unlike most Killer's who struggle because of weak powers or powers that are unlikely to work), but it just takes so long to set it up that unless you're using bags ect it's far too easy to just gen rush through a trapper.
From a guy which uses pop as his only gen slowdown perk - Not really.
You don't need to put every single trap down before going after people, just 2 or 3 (depending on how many you have around) on some good positions and then you go chase people off gens while getting more traps.
Again, great success.
(But yes, playing without a bag is nowhere near as good)

@NuclearBurrito said:
No. Assuming Nurse is still viable (and I expect her to be) there are 7:
- Nurse
- Spirit
- Billy
- Hag
- Demogorgon
- Freddy
- Huntress
As well as that there are also 3 borderline cases which aren't viable but are pretty damn close so you should still get results:
- Ghostface
- Plague
- Myers
Considering that this is 10 Killers total that are at least usable at all ranks out of a total of 17 Killers I'd say the game has massively improved since I started keeping track.
For the record when I started keeping track it was:
- Nurse
- Billy
- Huntress
With Myers as Borderline. Nowadays Hag has been buffed to viability, Spirit, Demo, GF and Plague have been added and Freddy has been reworked and is now good.
There's a distinct lack of trapper on this list... me no likey.
I have a great deal of success with trapper in all ranks, I'm not on red yet but I don't see how much different it would be from rank 6.
Just go watch otzdarva if you think trapper isn't viable on all ranks.
