A good idea is to fake AFK, preferable near a gen so you can see it. See if they come up to taunt you or to work on the gen. Else a good idea is just to outwait them.
-
@nhattminhh @Pike_Trickfoot Gen was in other room,i was there to listen cause the room gen was in had 1 door and no windows, so I'd run around and block it.
-
@Orion Streamers, cause of the anniversary event. Gens and hooks make party favor noises and confetti too.
-
a lot of things people forget is he has auto-mindgame in his ability as long as he doesnt get broken out.
-
@TheLastGreatStar maybe it start's powering on again once someone touches it again (even if they have technician also?)

And this is why most things in this game don't get fixed, balance, or listen upon, we're being too nice to them...
Please, @MrsPiggyIsSoSneaky , go look through the forums and count how many negative postings there are to positive ones. I'll wait.

This would be awesome, but I doubt it would even make it to PTB because that would be hell to co
-
Again, would like to push that Benedict may be part of the archives, since his journal entries mention a library and an archive...

Ok so this could be a glitch but im on xbox playing swf me and one person and we get into games with our rank killer but the other two survivors are rank 20.
Was your friend hosting? What's his rank? SWF checks ranks with the host's rank, so you could be rank 1 and he could be rank 20l you'd get a game in the 20 range.
Also, was the game instant, or did it take some time? Your rank range may have expanded because not enough people were found.

@Toybasher gates don't count because the killer can stall the game by just endlessly shocking a survivor trying to open gate, allowing the killer to hold the game hostage in some scenarios.
-
I usually use map with glass bead, and black silk cord if it's not a rainbow map. you can track the lock while it's invisible, so a good idea is to run around the map, wait for hatch to spawn (if it gets to that), use the map to locate it, then use the glass bead to mark it so everyone knows where it is. If you die, other survivors can see it and run for it. If you become last survivor, you know where to go to escape.
-
Claudette, being my favorite survivor till the cosmetic nerf that made us blend in with white betther then black.
-
This is making me curious, do survivors not realize it's the center of the screen both left and right, and up and down?
@johnmwarner unless they say otherwise, they will stack.
-
Again, current system is bugged. If you do care about this emblem, slug and let them revive so you get more survivors hit and won chases.
-
Perhaps make a pregame info screen, or make the first tips menu show basic info, like luck.
-
from what I've seen they cause hindered, don't they? I thought that'd help in a chase? And just smoke out jungle gyms, force the survivor out or be really slow
-
Also, game already tells you the base chance to escape a hook, both in tutorial and in the loading tips.

Luck offerings are confusing because I'm not sure if some things are weighted with luck (as well as the numbers).
For example, you may get the full benefit of a luck offering on bear traps, but not on hooks because they are more game changing.
This is ignorable because luck is a universal value. It's base luck + luck offerings & perks. Base luck on a hook is 4%, base luck on a trap is 25%. The only exception to these are killer perks and addons, which are always unknown anyway and would be unfair if people knew they had them that way..

Doctor has nothing in his package that allows him to end chases quickly. His ability slows him down by 5% and even the best timed shock still won't stop a survivor from vaulting a window or pallet sometimes which again results in chases that last too long.
He's a god like tracker but a weak chaser. He was the second killer I mained and I really liked him but against survivors who don't care about stealth and just hop on the gens whenever they can he's completely hopeless.
Doc is one of the killers with a skill ceiling higher then nurse IMO, since godly plays could make you unable to throw pallets, vault, and a lot of things, but that gap between near-godly to godly is so big that it's easier to just play nurse.

So staring at him breaks him out? How long do you have to stare i had several occasions where full pallet animations and maybe a second before that wasnt enough time...definately not whining just curious so i can learn to play against him
@JLew You cannot break LoS with him, while it's one of your defenses, it's one of his too. If you break LoS his detection resets.
-
@AshleyWB probs just some packet mixup there, be afraid if entire things go missing though.
-
No, it's always been instadowns while on the pallet, you have to regain control before it registers you not on the pallet. I know, because I used to play leatherface a lot trying to get B&C, and have downed a lot of survivors on the other edge of the pallet repeatedly before even the EGC
-
I have to say @Peanits , considering this was not only a first of it's kind game, but the first time your company had worked on something that wasn't based off a children's show or the like, you guys did a damn good job.
-
@brokedownpalace A chainsaw breaking a pallet will down any survivor on the pallet as well, regardless how far across the pallet they are.
-
Dude, it's not imbalance if you lose on both sides, it just means you've gotten outplayed, whether because you're using old tactics, or bad luck. You just need to find what build works for you. As a used-to-be blendette (before they nerfed us to the point we blend better against white), my perks were nowhere near meta: Selfcare, Empathy, Plunderer's, and Dead Hard or WGLF.
-
I read "NOED removed and thought it was another toxic "######### killers, they should sit in a corner and do what the survivors want" post, but no, this is an actual attempt at fixing some things wrong with the game.
Unfortunately, there are so many bugs in the game rn by the time we hit 3.5.0 we'd just be finishing fixing the bugs.
-
While I'm going to sound like a killer main here, I don't think it should be switched. The entire point or Madness T3 is to stop you doing any major action (with the exception of snap out of it), and I believe Mending is a major action. This just means doctor has a counter to BT that takes a while to work. And if it's really too much of an issue, find another survivor to mend you.
-
It's just a good idea to research the luck offerings and pay attention to whats offered. I can figure out what my chance is by myself.
-
I signed up, haven't got an email though.
-
A good idea would be to allow him to equip 2 different powers, the old power, and the rework. Those who prefer old freddy can still play him, those who want the new freddy can play him.
-
Perhaps a solution isn't to punish it, but rather encourage the opposite? Earn more BP when you don't stay at hook, like 20% more, per person on hook? People don't care about being punished, but they will care about rewards.
-
You'll be fine. If you tried to struggle through hook and no-one rescued you, either killer was protecting thier catch or it's their fault you died and made the game snowball.
-
They play victim because they're meant to be victim, just some aren't gracious about their role. I get pissed, but there's only 1 time I've ever purposefully DCed in DbD, and that was a leatherface game where all the gens were done in 2 minutes. No toolboxes, nothing. I figured they were hacking somehow (single survivors were popping gens in like 40 seconds, not 80) so I instantly dropped the connection to try force them to lose their pip and keep them out of red ranks for a while longer, till other's who are running OBS or something see them and also report and BHVR takes notice.
-
@n2njauwu no, its set to a specific distance I think
-
I remember a long time ago, when I was a wee baby wraith, I, a rank 18, went up against a full SWF of rank 1s. Looking back, it was amazing I got a sacrifice.
Now I'm sitting at rank 12, and I haven't seen such a disparity since.
-
Let go of the "Hold me" button?
-
I'm all for these, but am I really the only person who can tell what trap was just popped with the sound and common sense?
-
To the lore of DbD, I'm pretty sure that the Entity doesn't exist in multiple dimensions (rather, the layer's of reality, which is real world, spirit world, realms, and dream world), but rather all the killer in it (including the licensed killers) are within DbD's own universe,so Leatherface, Myers, and Trapper all of them exist in the same timeline.
-
I agree with 2, though not 1 and 3. Stalkers dont keep stalking their prey when they've been spotted. Michael's an exception, since he's watching survivors and can't give a damn if they know he's there.
-
If you want my money BHVR make this a thing.
-
It's deliberate. My PC is a bit on the glitchier side sometimes, and I'd see sometimes scratches spawn instantly for a frame, then they fade back in.
-
Nurse: Slips Entity a $20 "You know what to do"
-
@SpooksForHire I'm pretty sure that for those to trigger the survivor can't be within a certain range of you. If you're not getting it, they're behind a wall or fairly close to yoy
-
you can't get banned unless you're proper lagswitching. He was probably complaining cause the idiot didnt check ping in the lobby and refused to take blame, so he accussed you of lag switching to cover himself. Ignore him, he was just another salty survivor who failed because he wasn't paying attention and hates that you didn't let him go.
-
I liked the alt equip idea, but it'd be cool if each one changed how it worked. Alternate killer abilities that don't require addons would be fun. Like the RBT has a shorter timer, the head case slows the survivor down because of it's size, and the shotgun collar has no visible timer.
-
Legion - I'm apparently one of the few players who are capable of using FF to it's full potential as a stall tool, so he's fun to play for me
Leatherface - Territorial Imperative triggers
Huntress - I love the lullaby killer thing, and she's actually scary since she can cancel pallets if she's quick to respond, and a good throw can snipe. Bit rusty with her though.
Ghostface - "How much do you like it, you teabagging surviivor?"
-
@Fynexx according to the system, all it knows is that you DCed. If it was that DCing meant you didnt lose items or pips then it would be rampant, it's a necessary evil.
