BHVR couldn't get rights to the killer so they did the next best thing and got the rights to use the mask, then make the original killer as bordeline copywrite breaking as possible.
-
Really, just give us a free green mori if we have dailies that require mori-ing.
-
I usually move a tile away, far enough so I'm not just sitting under hook, far enough to start running if the killer investigates.

8 days.
EAC is ######### bullshit and can't tell a system executable from a cheating tool. Hoping the EAC team ain't as ######### as the AC and accept my appeal. for now, I shall enjoy the searching for lobby bug I have found when i have nothing better to do.

@se05239 It pretty much is, the real jacket had no ability, which is what made Hotline Miami tough. You could take 1 hit and dealt the same damage as your enemies. Your only "ability" was that you start the levels with no-one knowing you're there, and to try keep it stealthy. I did add lunge distance to make him have some help in a chase, being able to catch up with a lunge quicker.
-
The penalty should stay after the survivor is killed, I agree. It also should be buffed a bit so that having 4 injured survivors should actually be a problem, would really help plague and the issue where no-one cleanses.
-
@Milo not particularly. Athletes are trained to reserve energy until the final stretch, then sprint for the finish line. They get trained for general endurance, but not recovery. Being in the entity's realm, You're always running, and recovery periods are few and sometimes far between, so your body would learn to adapt and recover faster, which is her staging the ability up and making it have less exhaustion.
-
That was never done. SWF was a patched in mess that only existed because people wanted it, and wanted it now. As such, it took the host's rank and used that to determine the match. That's where the term "boosted" came from, when a low rank survivor was put in high rank queues via SWF.
-
@Yamaoka That's a bit unfair, those are 2 separate examples, not together.
-
@SmokePotion good to know I'm not the only one with this issue.

Pretty sure your state is instantly set to dead, so no.

In all honesty, I've seen more survivors cry, but killer's are diverse in what they cry about.
I like to think it's because killer's have 2 "bad" thing about them (NOED, Ruin), but survivors have multiple "bad" things about them (adrenaline, second chance perks, MOM (old), Instaheals, B.N.Ps, gen rushing, infinites, ######### generation giving survivors too many extra chances etc.)
-
@martin27 not always viable, like when gates are opened. Tell me, if I camp you then, would you get mad and accuse me of camping? Or do you expect me to just let you stroll out the door?

Really you are doing that on purpose? Making others angry to get them banned?
The question you might wanna ask yourself is: why do I like to do s.th like that.
I a bit concerned that you got a lil problem there. Maybe let yourself get checked by a psychologist?
The thing is: a healthy (mental) person doesn't feel happy about hurting others on purpose / make others feel bad.
If you got a problem to deeply connect to other ppl in real life whatever makes you happy when you cause suffering in others might be based on the same problem.
Good luck to you

Where the ######### did my dislike button go?
Also, @martin27 you forget survivors already have their own toxic perks, but knowing you off your response you'll say they're "fair" and "balanced" but I'll say them anyway, just in case you aren't a hypocrite. You have 4 perks that make you sprint at stupid speeds (adrenaline + hope? You're getting facecamped, idgaf), a perk which gives you a free heal and a sprint to escape the killer, a perk that makes you temporarily invincible, 2 perks that stops killers protecting their catch (horrible if stacked), and a fair few more, of which only some are on cooldown, and those on cooldown can be used multiple times. Compare to how killer's have almost no perks that counter any of these, and their only good perks are easily destroyed and then are permanetly disabled for the rest of the game, and one which can be denied outright because killer's cannot see their own totems to guard them, then survivors gloat about how good they are when they're using these perks. Then you complain about a build that depends on the survivors being stupid and barely works pass rank 12. You see the problem?
-
If you want it to be a truly "Survivor BBQ" perk, here's what it should be:
Your few friends deserve the best help.
When within 8/12/16 meters of a hooked survivor, see the killers aura up to a maximum distance of 64/72/80 meters. When performing a safe unhook, gain a token, up to 2/3/4 tokens. For each token gain 25% more bloodpoints in the altruism category. Reward is only applied post-match.
-
Don't touch my Dying Light Ghostface! *hisses*
-
@Milo he's complaining about how an SWF with voice coms not even using meta perk beat him and he got a displeased rating on the game
-
I'd love to be able to hatch-grab key unlocks, but allow last survivors to jump in safely (as in if they're already jumping they can't be grabbed), using a key is just a free escape when you find hatch, and there is no risk.
-
No man, Sabo is a nurse-tier perk (or whatever the survivor equivalent for nurse is), hard to master and is a bith to learn, but if you take time and learn when and when not to use it, you can force drops without a pallet or flashlight just by outwaiting the wriggle timer by dropping hooks. Add to that if you can sabo a lot of hooks to 99% (trapper setup style) you can almost deny every hook a killer can do.
-
@Milo said:
I mean if they start at lvl 3 that might be decent. They should be masters of their own perks
@Milo depends on how you look at it. LVL 1 is as if they just entered the entity's realm, and have been given these supernatural perks. They would need to figure out how to capitalize the perk anyway.
-
Honestly, a 2k guarantees a lower rarity addon be kept, 4k guarantees both be kept. Then not only does it even item loss/gain, but then this new BP boost becomes a bandaid to how hard it is to farm for survivors.
-
Sprint burst, the only exhaustion perk that has an actual downside that isn't "Ok you can't use me for a lil' bit. Lithe is easy to activate, balanced landing is a fair bit harder (with some obvious exceptions), but also reduces stagger. Dead Hard actually makes you invincible no matter your distance to the killer. Sprint Burst is the only exhaustion perk that actually gives you a problem when using it, and is the only sprint perk imo that doesn't require any nerf or buff.
-
I only allow it depending on how they played. Cocky and the like, they eat the hook. Determined to escape even in the most dire of situations, or if they accept their death, they might get off free More likely to let them free if the game went quick or there was too many DCs too quick, they need BP too.
-
I like the idea that it only takes a broken totem. Run RUIN and NOED, either destroy ruin and risk NOED, or keep ruin and deny NOED.

You sound like a very spoiled brat with such reasoning, you know?
Two wrongs don't make a right. Run prayer beads and you'll just create an enviroment of payback where survivors will be forced to run "crutch" perks to counter people like you. I'm the prime example of that since I cannot do a game at Rank 1 with my Pluderer/Ace combo without getting ######### on by 3 blinks Nurses/Insta-Billy/Beads Spirits.
Also, smh at the comparison with Nurse. Nurse screams and still has a terror radius, Spirit doesn't do that and allows for the easiest grabs out of gens.
@NurseMainBTW In all honesty, survivors will just run the crutch perks anyway, since they have no idea if it's omega blink nurse or if it's a commando Freddy
-
Doesn't matter what platform it's on. Are you saying just cause you didn't get mew back in pokemon red on the GameBoy they should do another event nowadays for pokemon red on the switch/3ds?
-
Unpopular opinion: Most players are not potato, it's that they aren't a co-ordinated SWF, of which have raised our expectations of what a good survivor is.
-
@Bbbrian2013 Those skins were massive exclusive rewards back when levelling up characters was a hard chore that took forever. To allow those skins to be earned some other way nowadays invalidates their value of the hard work that went into them.
-
@PalletOrWhat They balance around 15-20 I believe, but they don't alter Billy or Nurse too much because the entire community would be outraged that their only viable killer's are gone, and rank 1 would become a cesspool of toxicity and impossible balance.
-
@TrueKn1ghtmar3 I think bill can be ignored for this, since his game, with his body shown, came way before DbD, and do remember that everything inside DbD somehow happens in it's own lore. Pig and Shape come from the same world, the same world as macmillian and Mrs "What are pallets?" To retain lore, either Bill has to be treated as an easter egg character, or we have to assume at some point in the entity's universe a zombie apocalypse happened.
-
@TrueKn1ghtmar3 the only problem I can see with this is that the entity allows it in some form. The entity lets us access the bloodweb (unless something else summons the bloodweb, but in that case what other entity's creation is it? That's another can of worms not suited here), which is how Quentin and other survivors are able to learn how to manipulate them, if only slightly.
In my opinion, Vigo was allowed to 'escape' the trials by the Entity, as an experiment of soughts. Perhaps the Entity grew curious about what an 'escaped' survivor would do, perhaps it doesn't know much about itself/auric cells and sensed his scientific prowess and tried to get it to research him, then use that info itself. As it is, the Entity could still be a baby of soughts, and hasn't reached full power. We can see it growing, daring itself and messing with it's trial experimentally; blocking gens, self-sacrificing survivors, and a few more tidbits. She's given killers more power in some cases, even denying the survivors the hatch.
Another good tidbit is that it's getting better at both sensing those who would accept being taken by the Entity willingly and how to manipulate those who wouldn't without torture. The "Time isn't consistent" argument doesn't work here, because it is consistent within it's realm, so we can judge by how the recent killers are accepting the Entity, at least begrudgingly, that it's getting more skilled.
All in all, it's very likely the entity is manipulating everyone, and in Vigo's case specifically to study, as an experiment.
-
This just made me question, you can see a campfire out both gates unless I'm mistaken (It's been a while since I played, game glitched teh fuk out, EAC false positived me, trying to appeal), so is there multiple campfires? And if so, are these trials in a grid shape since all are equal distance to the gates? It may be possible to navigate the realm if one stays focused and wary, and tries to navigate between where trial areas would be then.
-
the only problem is that is Final Destination always shows the kills, no-one just disappears. The Entity also forcefully takes some people, as she did with Kate (Or whoever the guitar girl is).
-
Tunneling Ghostface x5
#########, people have figured out how good dying light is on him.
-
Really, just make it have a huge downside, so like100% more regression
-
Laugh at them and say GG anyway. It'll just piss them off, making the toxicity hurt them a lot more then you, which is what they would be aiming for.
The only time you should "attack back" is if you have a survivor agreeing on a point with you, cause if their own teammate is on the killer's side then that just makes them sputter and eventually either leave or sprout funny bullshit.
-
Cause OoO is dangerous to both sides. Free info on killer, free info on survivor. However, this info is much more powerful for survivors since you're always working as a group, so a killer will immediately make sure OoO is gone asap.

First off: I'm not saying no, I'm just reflecting on this.
Large portions of the game design depend on Survivors being able to look somewhere they're not moving (or not at what they're working on).
Imagine repairing a generator against Pig in first-person camera.
Perks such as Object of Obsession (ones that depend on the direction you're looking) are much less useful during actions.
I think playing Survivor from first-person would make you immediately appreciate how much of an advantage it is to have third-person camera.
This difference in camera is one of the most fundamental asymmetries in DbD; shifting that would make seismic changes in the gameplay all over the place! :D
Perhaps let the survivor look to their left and right while on an objective, but not ba
-
Love the idea, but give the survivors an option to lean around corners like GF, just to ease it a bit.
-
Unfortunately not, since tiles can be randomized.
-
I dunno man, I'm gonna check the patch notes n' get back to you before trying to condem or defend the GF
-
IMO, Vigo is attached to these Archives somehow, either that, or we'll get something about Benedict, since his backstory talks about archives.

"He doesn't need a buff, he just needs fixed. Taking him out of his ability is impossible sometimes and it is really frustrating as survivor. "
Wat.
Seriously, he is the easiest Killer to cuck. Even mediocre survivors can break him out of stealth with little effort. You can even break him out when he's supposed to be "hidden". I've experienced this from both sides.
The general consensus is that he is weak and his power is mostly in the hands of the survivors.
"People cry about a "massive nerf" but I don't think it'll destroy him as much as people think. The good killers at this game will still get 4k quite easily."
Those tiny changes make a huge difference overall. He is already very easy to break out of stealth, therefore making it even easier will make him even weaker. 4% doesn't sound like a big change, but they also thought making Plague a tiny bit slower while holding her puke wouldn't be a big deal either. Now she's lower mid-tier at best and barely anyone plays her.
And can we stop with this delusion that 4k-ing with Killer is easy? Even with a strong Killer (which GF is not), getting a 4k at mid-to-high ranks usually requires more than a modicum of sweat on the Killer's behalf, assuming they aren't camping/tunneling/slugging for the win.
I swear, I'm going to make a compilation video of all the high-tier players, streamers, and fog whisperers demonstrating just how weak Ghost Face is, because all the evidence is there, plain as day. Maybe if it was all aggregated, there would be less dispute, but I doubt it.
This is too true. I've actually gotten killed by accidentally revealing him while healing.
-
At this rate Claudette's are an endangered species, since they nerfed her stealth. Eventually, I'm probably gonna be the last claudette.
-
@miaasma problem with those is that no-one apparently knows how to use most of them. Hell, as leatherface, I usually chase someone there and accidentally take down someone else as well as my target somehow.
-
It's the pallet in the killer's shack. The reason it's called the god pallet is because that single pallet is what makes the shack loop so threatening, cause if it drops you're forced to kick it instead of go around. When it's wasted it means they didn't try to drop it at an opportune time, for example they should take a hit if they're healthy and either run or continue the loop. The pallet should only be dropped at the very end of a loop, and also go for the stun, since without perks it's a guaranteed escape. If basement is there, it makes it even more threatening since that pallet can be dropped to save someone, or reject the basement as a hooking area.

No it's fine a lot of the time survivors just tend to hang about.
So I typically just hit them with my power just to stack up points before they leave.
Most of them will take a lot of the passive powers for example non-damaging puke stalk, Shocks and bottles.
Some will allow you to hit them with offensive powers but they typically stand far enough so you'll knock them out of the exit if you try to down them. For example hatchets, ambush, blinks and chainsaws
@Aari_Piggy66 I figured out that I could swing around and hit them sideways to flip them sideways, make them fall to the right.
Next update you couldn't do it anymore, which made me sad.

@Elk thanks!
