It's chicken scratch, both literally and loretically. Iirc, the entity can't understand things like writing since it's realms are closer to dreams created from memories that actual worlds. Try and read something in a dream. It'll be random garble or unreadable for some reason. However, signs are seen as symbols and not writing, which is why the entity can understand them (well, understand what it looks like, not what it means). Another example is try to remember lines from a newspaper you read once and only once.
The fact that legible writing in the Entity's world exists, and is actual writing, is certainly a curious thing @MLG007 , since this means either the Entity is learning to dig into memories better, is starting to understand writing, or was incredibly important to someone that it was seen as a symbol rather than generic writing.
-
Unfortunately, No. Comparing DbD to IT, Pennywise would be an Entity (which is blasphemous!), and wouldn't exist within another entity's world. It would be interesting to see a pennywise styled Entity, at least for a while,
-
If you managed to escape the entity, you could literally end up in any time period, the entity's realm has no ties to the real world, its a possible explanation on Benedicts last quote's date being impossible.
-
It's most likely he was taken by the entity once and for all, whether cast to the void or fully consumed. His last "official" quote was him obviously going mad, and requesting to whoever found his body to bury him. So it can be presumed any character without a quote came after Benedict.
-
It's to slow some loop and punish for coming at a vault from the side, since you cant exactly jump suddenly in a 90 degree turn.
-
Survivor is healthy? Stalk and hide till they pop.
Survivor is injured? Use stealth to get as close as possible than rush them.
Worked for me so far.

Stop hiding in random areas (typically corners) and thinking I can’t see just because you have dark clothes. I see you and I have a chainsaw.
*Survivor peeking from corner*
*Me, as ghostface*: "Hey! That's my job!"

You're not safe because of a window; killers can hit through windows and over some fences. Where you land after vaulting is within the danger range of the window, so you need to move immediately or risk taking the hit.

Another nerfed killer yahoo!
Well, in this case it's justified. You can move faster shredding than walking.
-
The mori would be cool to see some more killer interaction and to fail mori's, in a "play with your food" kind of way where succeeding or failing checks will give a different animation.

Lockdown: Should have a limit of 2/3/4 but only applies for 15/20/25. Longer than that could seriously damage the generator because of how fast it can regress.
Riot: Should probaly be 25%/50%/75% just so the survivors have atleast a small chance.
Hex: Restrain: Rarely will you get multiple hooks in endgame, even 1 can be difficult unless they're the last one. Its stats should be considerably nerfed, but last all game rather than endgame collapse.
kept minimum to 2 because theres only 3 gens left when you're up to the last gen.

I agree with OP. Many people forget that 4 survivors are meant to be equal to 1 killer. that's why the snowball when a survivor gets sacrificed will never be fixed, because now the killer has more power. If it reaches a point where it's 1v1, you're not meant to be able to escape, and yet you get 3 chances, 2 more than needed.
-
I go for whoever shows the better option. Unhooked is injured, but is in a position to loop, while healthy savior is in the open? Go for savior. Unhooked is running into the open or right at me? We eating Meg tonight.
-
@TAG that is to stop people farming using BT, or otherwise unhooking in the killers face.
-
Wasn't that luck bug fixed?
-
Legion. He's faster then you, stronger then you, and isn't above murdering.
-
Never thought I'd see the day where someone would complain about legion being OP again.

This is incorrect, you can snap a leaning ghostface, however, because he's leaning, most of his body is hidden, enough to stop the snap. Either you have to be at the right angle or move to the right angle.

No, you're just bad
So I'm bad because I'm complaining that low ranks are ruining the game for high ranks, which I'm in (was, cause of reset, and currently unable to play), which require skill and dedication to get good enough to reach?
-
Killer's don't really need a nerf, in fact some of them require buffs or reworks. Also, why go after BBQ's bonus BP? it's not like it's getting you killed
-
You know whats fun to do? Set up a huntress with full ######### counters to exhaustion perks and have franklins, then play whatever killer you fancy, but get ready to switch if they do. It's funny to see them go "HOW THE ######### DID YOU KNOW WE WERE GONNA SWITCH" rada rada and just responding "I can switch killer quick as well you know."
-
Same reason you might stop eating your favorite flavor of chips and start eating different flavors for a while, variety.

Determination (Purple)
No matter what, you will escape.
When hit by the killer during the endgame collapse, your sprint is extended by 3/4/5 seconds. As the last survivor, hit an impossibly difficult skillcheck to immediately pick yourself up, avoiding damage for 2/2.5/3 seconds and gain a 10% speed bonus for that time. You will slowly bleed out as if in the dying state until healed to healthy.
“No, you won’t take me, not again!”
Note: By impossibly difficult I’m talking maybe 2/3’s worth of a great skillcheck size, which is affected by distressing. Failing the skillcheck deactivates the perk permanently.
-----
Martyr (Purple)
Your sacrifice increases the resolve of others.
When you are sacrificed or killed, the other survivors get a 15/20/25% bonus to altruistic actions, and a 3/5/5% increase to generator repairing and opening the exit gates. (T3: They are also able to pick themselves up from the dying state once.)
“I’m taking one for the team. Escape, while you still can.”
-----
Anywhere but here (green)
Your absolute panic distorts the killer’s aura reading abilities.
After being unhooked, when the killer attempts to read your aura, it will be shifted 16/24/32m in a random direction for 20/25/30 seconds. Skill check chances are tremendously higher while active.
“I can’t do this man, I just can’t!”
-----
Denial (purple)
You refuse to let the killer win.
When on the killer’s shoulder, your wriggle speed is increased by 3/4/5%. If you wriggle out of the grasp of the killer, start sprinting at 150% of your normal running speed for a maximum of 3 seconds if not exhausted. Causes the Exhausted status effect for 60/50/40 seconds.
"I saw the glint of that hook, and I decided that I'd never end up there, not if I could help it."
-----
Paranoia (Green)
When on the edge of danger, you become paranoid, heightening your senses.
When suffering from the exposed or mangled status effect, see the killers aura in an 8/12/16 meter radius. You cannot see survivor auras except if they are in the dying state or hooked.
-----
Final wishes (Purple)
Your friends deserve all the protection you can give, even if it means risking your own life.
When you take a hit for a survivor while exposed, Earn 1 token. When you have 3/2/1 tokens, the next time you are hit while exposed, instead of going to the dying state, go to the injured state, unless already injured, and gain the Deep Wound status effect. The perk deactivates after being used.
-
@BloodyTapp I updated my previous response with the first part, and the exposed status is since BT is meant to be anti-tunnel. The extended time helps a bit with that, but the saviour being exposed makes them a better target, as well as stopping them going for the save right in front of the killer or farming the survivor. It also fits with how bill in L4D2 was the one who'd protect everyone else at the cost of his own life.
-
@BloodyTapp the original perk was 10/15/20, i just set it to straight 15 here.
Edit: The longer time is also because any damage to the survivor hurts both of them, plus the saviour is exposed so it's much more tantalizing to go for the rescuer first anyway.
-
The pink perk's being removed was caused by an error in sorting and picking rarity, and since colors are automatically determined by rarity, when the perks rarity was dropped to make them easier to obtain, the colors were automatically changed by the game itself.
-
I was about to get pissed cause I assumed this was a survivor post. And at rank 1 you should have the skill to power through them, making ruin useless. Something does need to be done.
-
I'd love for black chests to b e there for killers, 1 per game, though this would just slow the killer down
-
Quentin for survivor, Trapper for killer.
-
Optimization. Coding works by making modules, every exhaustion perk probably use the same exhaustion module to control it. If you alter a module, there's every chance a perk will interact with it strangely, even if others don't. For example, Wake Up is the only perk that changes how opening exit gates work. Make an error there, the program gets confused, suddenly everything is +15%
-
Really, I'd rather a talisman system or something, where downing a survivor makes them drop their "Talisman" and they have to go back and find it, which is like a 10 second channel. A survivor version of Hexes i guess.
-
His detection isn't buggy at all, you need to keep a consisten camera lock on him, and you have to be able to see 20% or more of his body. If he's staliking and peeking just enough to stalk, but not enough to be detected, you just got outplayed and should start running.
-
I'd be happy to trade that stall time in for it becoming more resistant somehow, like an ability you need to actively counter.
-
The only problem I have with adrenaline is it's capability to immediately heal you after unhook, like cmon, I just had a ######### hook through your shoulder. If you really want adrenaline to do something on hook make it a guaranteed kobe or something, but it just gets pissy when they escape cause they got a free heal despite sitting on hook a full minute after the gate was opened.
-
The power role is the role who can win a game assuming neither side makes mistakes at all. Currently, survivors (read:SWF) beat all but a handful of killers, thus I'd consider them the power role most of the time.
-
Please, don't cater towards beginner ranks any more. They've already made nearly all killers useless at rank 1.
-
Can we get a tweak to huntress to give her 115% and see how it does on the PTB?
-
They're called pallets. Use them.
-
Really, I just want it either not to just disappear all the charges, or automatically sprint when full.
-
I agree. You lose a lot more time then you think you would vaulting a window, and isn't enough to win chases 90% of the time, though pallets are done fast enough to catch up.
-
Advanced Graphics Settings? I'm on Ultra and pretty sure this game is just modded Doom in some places.
-
Whats WM1?
Also, that Nurse trick still works sometimes, preready makes people think you're running sweaty perks and sometimes they'll prefer counters, and then I walk in with lightborn.

I had a suggestion like this. 1st hit activated KI, 2nd hit sped him up by 10% 3rd had half the bar drained from the get-go and 4th instantly downs instead. Makes his power have use especially when used well.
-
@ClogWench There was an alcove I could sit in and hear them before they could see me, and there was 3 gens.
-
Im gonna admit this one, I play insidious Legion. Standing on hatch as insidious legion in the game map makes it impossible to win the gam, since you can only tell where the hatch is by walking into view of the killer.
-
Bit of a weird one, but I played this game a bit before my PC died. Now with a new PC, I'm back into playing it (was, still trying to get my ban appealed), and the first thing that caught me off guard was
- I thought Legion was Jeff the Killer or something
- I came from when you could tell the killer by looking at the hook. That made me expect traps when it was stabby boi.
-
I'd be fine if the TR was removed from her and just a louder hum when she got close. What predator strikes fear into their prey before attacking?
-
It'd be cool with dedicated servers if we could faintly see shadow survivors from other games doing things, like dark souls.
