No, you don't see their aura's; they don't exist on the spirit plane at all, only in the entity's realm.
-
You know that little crook opposite the basement stairs?
Bubba aint got ######### on the scare factor anymore.
-
Use Corrupt Intervention, slows the game down a lot more then Ruin in most case. Pair them up and you'll have them either waiting 2 mins for a gen before realizing ruin is on the field, or them scramble for gens and ruin at the same time.
-
@Tarehjerne not really. Me as a claud and an Adam managed to stay away from the killer for half an hour looking for the black lock, and I managed to gather the adam and escape with him easy when i found it. I've had it happen to me before, and have been abandoned by 3 man SWFs with it.

@Mochan Rotten Fields is TERRIBLE for killer. It’s a massive map. Killers with no map control usually lose. I’m honestly super corn blind so I hate all farm maps.
MacMillan is great...except for Shelter Woods. That map has nothing to work with for survivor.
Azarov’s Resting Place is slightly killer sided due to the fact that you can guard one side of the map and make it unsafe and defend all the generators on that side. Pretty easy 3-4 gen set up. I’ve stayed on one side of the map for the entire game and won without even going to the other side.
Can confirm the Azarov thing, have done the same thing accidentally twice.
-
Attempting to repair the gen you (A person who consistently hit greats) are on with an omega blink nurse after them (a person who hits spacebar when they hear 'ding')

Coldwind is only good against newb killers. Killers who know how to track in the corn have a very easy time on coldwind. The open fields are hell to try to loop a killer. Especially Rotten Fields.
McMillan is generally great, all the maps on MacMillan are good for survivors.
But the best map for Survivors is without a doubt Haddonfield.
Ormond and the Swamp maps are also good and easy.
Worst maps are Lery's and Meat Plant. Autohaven Wreckers is also pretty bad, but some of the maps like Azarov's Resting Place are good.
But the best map for Survivors is without a doubt Haddonfield.
Tell that to my Ghostface

If you reach the struggle state, even on your first hook, you will die on your next.
-
All that's really needed is the ivory for the case when you need to immediately remove a survivor from the game. The Cypress is the Tier 1 version, the Ebony is the T3 version.
-
Same thing can be said of keys. 1 survivor has a key, with 3 survivors left and 1 gen left, they can all just disappear at once, the survivor equivalent of a mori.
Also there isn't really a proper counter to DS. If you slug and then run off, they'll just get on their feet as soon as another survivor gets to them. You camp them? Thats lost time on gens.
-
Demogorgon. He's climbin' in your windows, he's snatchin' your friends up, tryna hookem so y'all need to hide your toolboxes, hide your flashlights and hide your instaheals cuz they're hookin' errybody out here.

I think it’d be fine if they brought back the Moon Bouquets to kinda bring back the ominous atmosphere. Just make it to where they don’t stack.
That wasn't the problem; the problem was that with each map release thay had to make copies with different brightness just for those addons which was becoming too much work and took too much space.

It’s not problematic. They saved their ds for endgame, now they escape, nothing wrong with it.
A bit broken really, since 60 seconds is enough to traverse the entire map with seconds to spare. DS shouldn't be able to trigger in the exit gates.
-
I never encounter this personally; I have like some game sense ######### and I'm able to tell where survivors are, to the point I spend more time chasing them then actually looking for them. (I suck at running gyms though)
From what I've seen when it happens to others though it sucks.
-
Taking into account ping and weapon swing cone, plus the timing of the hit, it was just in range. Just.
-
If this happens, killers need a buff to keep up and equilize it. Survivors will get their info, killers will get enough power to deal with SWF.
-
I just had a game of GF on Yamoka. 3 gens all around basement. It was impossible for them since I could literally force a 3 gen with that placement.
-
I want the Demogorgon to be able to do it's screech on command.
-
As long as i sit in green or purple than im happy.
-
It works... kind of.
When you unhook yourself, you will have your initial Deliverance broken timer. When thats over, then Solidarity kicks in I'm pretty sure

Infact they're able to win th chase at the infinite if they want to. Just chase until entity blockers. Or surrender and.... Surprise, chase another person???
The entity blockers are a fix to make no loop truely infinite. And surprise, people will just go for the infinite loop, thats why that doesn't work.
-
If you can, try to get away if the killer is distracted. Else, if the killer keeps track of you, recover instead.
-
An urban styled map, like it's set on the city streets
-
the killer is meant to be the power role; they should either eventually win every loop or be able to destroy the loop without needing their power. Infinites fit neither of these conditions.
-
You want a proper DH exploit? Someone in my game earlier dead harded but had like 10 second invulnerabilty (swung twice, literally no way they were misses.)
-
It's a disconnect, which is why there's a "peace" amount of DCs you can do, where you can DC without getting banned. It's assumed sometimes you just have to leave; it's only when it gets into serial DCer territory that the game starts getting picky.

Oh yes.
in todays backwards world of false information even the evils of Communism is made-up to look pretty. That's why I didn't realize you were kidding. I was once banned from reddit for saying Communism is evil. lol.
Communism isn't evil, the people who used to lead communism were, which gave it a stigma that communism itself is evil. Guns are used to kill, does that make every gun evil?
Anyway this is a videogame forum, not /v/, so lets get back on the topic of DbD
-
I don't even notice it.
-
It'd be cool to provide them as cosmetics, but I'm pretty sure those were repurposed into the long dead survivors that provide use our general perks like Spine Chill and Premonition.

ALTERNATIVE IDEA
When you reach the 1st devotion - entity gives you 300 shards,
for the 2nd devotion - 500 shards
for the 3rd devotion - 700 shards,
for the 4th devotion - 900 shards,
for the 5th devotion - 1100 shards
for the 6th devotion - 1300 shards,
for the 7th devotion - 1500 shards,
for the 8th devotion - 1700 shards
for the 9th devotion - 1900 shards,
for the 10th devotion - 2100 shards
for the 11th devotion -2300 shards,
for the 12th devotion - 2500 shards,
for the 13th devotion - 2700 shards,
for the 14th devotion - 2900 shards,
for the 15th devotion - 3100 shards,
for the 16th devotion - 3300 shards
for the 17th devotion - 3500 shards,
for the 18th devotion - 3700 shards,
for the 19th devotion - 3900 shards,
for the 20th devotion - 4100 shards
for the 21st devotion - 4300 shards,
for the 22nd devotion - 4500 shards,
etc.
PLEASE VOTE IF YOU AGREETHIS ONE
While that will be awesome, it'll eventually become a thing where the second a new original killer comes out, everyone will buy it with shards instead of money, meaning they cant make more original killers since they won't provide cashflow.
-
Yay for patrol campers!
-
Someone got away with a key that another dropped, didn't they? It happens; keep track of items. Some people will grab them just to escape with them, like me.
-
Just ignore salt. Did you cheat? No? did you exploit? No? then it was a tactic. Whether you won or not, you have no rules to follow. In this case Camping means nothing except the survivors got caught out on their tactic and refused to adapt, instead trying to force upon the killer that the killer should have left and let them win.
-
I doubt even Vigo could traverse them, simply because he's altering the Entity's construction, not full on piercing dimensions.

That would result in a situation like Ghostface. However if you do the same thing to Jason, there will be huge community backlash, because of how iconic Jason is as a character in the series and how Crystal Lake is tied to him.
This. Ghostface got a free pass because Ghostface could be anyone and has been many people, so even with an entirely new character and costume it makes sense, as long as they wore the mask.

The only perks I've seen that really need nerfs are survivor perks mostly. And it's not a case of "Hur dur, killer main." I'm a killer main, but I want the game to be challenging, and to do that it needs to be balanced.
Killer perks themselves aren't OP, sometimes their synergies are, but never a single perk, wheras on survivor side you have things like DS (Timer is way too long, or it needs a different trigger), Adrenaline (######### you having 3 people on hook in basement when gens pop, they're gonna get a free run to the gate because there's no possible way you're gonna down one again with the gates open), and Borrowed Time (A great perk, bad execution. It just gets stupid when someone unhooks when you're coming back to the hook cause then the unhooked survivor gets off scott free while the savior has already SB away).
Edit: Nurse is broken though, fix nurse
-
As a killer main who hatessecond chance perks, DH is the one second chance I'm fine with. It requires timing, bluffing, and only gives you like 2extra meters, meaning that it's hard to use either to dodge or to gain space unless you use it right.
Then you have DS where you hook 2 people and still get nailed by it.
-
*note: the person has a vacban 379 days ago.
And? That's a long time ago.
No-ones the idiot here. It was a bug that the killer most likely did not trigger deliberately.
-
Have you seen an overwhelming presence doc? Like #########, if that gets nerfed sure, nerf the boxes, but before then it should be kept as is.
*Overwhelming doctor comes close enough to trigger TR*
Me: "######### where's my toolbox"
My toolbox:
-
DS shouldn't be able to activate in the exit gates. At that point you're not tunnelling, you're denying an escape. Otherwise DS can easily become broken since 60 seconds is a lot of time, especially with a gate already open. You can basically be unhooked anywhere on the map and still make it to the gate with seconds to spare on most maps.
-
I get what you mean @Cornpopers . I got banned, decided to just ignore DbD, then the Demogorgon was good enough for me to buy the game again.
-
Sorry to break it to you, but a lot of killers are still off the table. The Demogorgon is literally a one off only made possible by the stranger things creators giving Behavior the mesh for the killer.
-
I say no to that. You had your chance.
-
I like haddonfield as killer. Since only 1 gen usually spawns in the middle of those maps it's just one giant patrol route. and because of that, it's easy to trap a lot of areas.
-
The entity, as we see it, is everything we see apart from the killers (except possibly the upcoming Demogorgon, if you're willing to believe it's a copy the entity has made) and the survivors. Even the tools they use and the clothes they wear are made of the Entity (Entity X ? inbound). Outside of that it manifest directly using auric cells, or as an energy of some kind.
-
Heres a few ideas (I haven't watched stranger things but seeing it in DbD makes me want to watch it so excuse any lore imperfections on the ST side):
- the gorgon was nipped whilst within the real world along with the survivors. The "upside down" in the entity's realm is not the real one, but one mimicked from the Demogorgons memories.
- Some sought of trade was made, the mind flayer gets rid of it's annoyances, the entity's side of the bargain, and in return the entity gets its first bestial killer. Win win situation, Entity gets new survivors to feed off, and a new monster to do it's bidding.
- The Entity has made it's own demogorgon based off the survivors memories and auric cells, which is why it's so willing to fold to the entity's will. Also might explain why, as the demogorgon, we don't see the upside down, just a glorified fast travel.
-
The survivors and killers do indeed interact at the same campfire, and it's easy to come to the conclusion, based on the "killer on the outskirts" quote that they approach the campfire when the survivors are or nearly are asleep and do their sacrifice then. They possibly might grow bold, and stand just outside the light of the fire.
It also makes sense that the survivors aren't worrited about the killer standing there, since one of the only rules that never changes is that the killers cannot attack the survivors at the campfire. Within that campfire, they're safe.
-
It is indeed possible for a survivor to become a killer under certain circumstances.
- They've lost all hope
- They're willing to submit to the entity
- They have no care for the lives of their fellow survivors
Nurse gets a passby on 3 because she is the first killer and had to be tortured into the role.
But if those criteria are met the Entity may attempt to give them the role of killer.
If they don't meet the 1st criteria, they are still a survivor. If they dont meet the 2nd, they are tossed to the void. If they don't meet the 3rd they may be tossed or tortured.

On a completely unrelated note, I actually find it quite cool that the devs finally bit the bullet and actually did create a new rig and all new animations just for the Demogorgon. I remember them even specifically saying they tried using the same model and animations like all other killers but nobody was able to take it seriously and would just laugh at it.
They only did this because the monster is CGI already, and since Stranger Things willingly handed the mesh over it was a lot less work and cost for them. The main reason they never made a monster is simply cost and time.
So thank Stranger Things both for the Demogorgon and it being a possibility in DbD
-
They fall asleep at the campfire, they wake up in the trial, simple as that. No mention of how the killer accesses the trial, for all we know a helicopter airlifts them in.
