Pretty sure they didnt think it through. Assuming basement registers as a lower floor, he's about to be one of the number one basement campers on top of being an overbearing tunneler and hex nightmare.
I believe it does which makes this quite broken if its true because jason is actualy very good at deffending escape from basement he can like wesker hit two survviors and cause to second one deep wound but most important his spear pushes you backwards so your speed boost wont help you get away from basement stairs unless he misses.
I think anyone playing this game for some time knows devs kinda miss many things and it still looks nowdays like they dont even play their game.

People would have you believe they are unplayable though the way they talk. Just play what you like, who cares.
Exactly play what you like and how you like, just here everyone bms about some tunnel or bully squad.

Yeah no, we aren't pressured into high tiers at all, I still play Huntress/Trickster/Unknown coz I prefer ranged killers
Yet you mention one mid b tier, one who is like low b to high c-tier killer and high c-tier (huntress, uknown, trickster) thats not of a good use of low tier killers especialy the b tier ones.
Like huntress is still solid if you have good aim and hit your axe you will still do well, uknown can feel like bum still but his tp and ranged power plush im being 4,6 m/s still has something going for him and trickster is low but if you have good aim or you dont play on controller then he can do good too because he can outplay some loop but killers like sadako, pig, ghostface cant do that.

Springtrap is one of my favorite killers and he's one of the better range killers too. He can ignore most objects if you know the projectory of his axe. I think Jason is worse than Springtrap. Springtrap is one of the few who can throw over stuff like cars so I disagree. He doesn't need buffs.
Jason is better for two main facts especialy the one.
First his mobility has more use on maps and doesnt get effected by map rng like springtrap doors does like exsample on dead saloon theres door under the main su when you exit there any survivor on top of the main hears you and swamp has it too I believe even xeno has this problem with his mobility while jason can get everywhere. His mobilities use of how it works plus the tracking thats big and especialy its small cooldown its way better then springtrap.
Second is just "IF" but jasons spear is better for people that can get shots and have great aim, springtrap has more less punishing power for missing because he gets 5% speed and has 7 seconds cooldown till he can recall his axe while jason after missing must go out of his way to get spear so its more rng based but very accurate jason that hits majority of his shots beats springtrap player who hits most of his shots.
Jason mainly outranks springtrap with how much more better his mobility is because springtrap must go to certain point and enter door and can exit only on other door while survivors know about him exiting close to them by door sound so this makes him worse.
For range powers I would say they are not so much off like springtraps max level potencial is huge due to orbitals that beat many loops but are in reality super hardcore and unreliable, jasons spear is stronger especialy the ones from hooks but he gets more punnished for missing while springtraps axe is more mistake friendly.
Jasons wins due to his more free mobility that has low cooldown and tracking plus more ways of use then springs doors.
For now I would say springtrap doesnt need buffs (maybe some addons) but he is fine, unless they give survivors more interaction with doors and he will fall into xeno or old larry effect where the counterplay with his part of power is strong so they will have to buff him hard.
We can see it on xeno now how good survivors with well placed turrets make many people to rather not to touch him (funnily many whine to face him more or see him more), we could saw it on old larry that wasnt bad but emps totaly wreck his power in seconds and people called him larry or by his thrailer quote "it wasnt programmed to harm the crew".
I bet many will remember that larry part and take the fact that xeno is in 10 most unplayed killers even when he isnt that much of a bum compare to others but thats funny thing with many unplayed killers like twins, krasue, artist.

I wouldn't say survivors going dc on loading screen is very common. Usually they either lobby shop or dc in match when they get downed. Lobbyshoppers don't affect the game just lengthen the queue by a few seconds and in match they are replaced by a bot. Game is already probably a loss but at least survs can still try to play and everyone can earn bloodpoints from a full match. You can't compare that to a killer leaving and the games stops at that instant. No chance for more bp or even just the simple pleasure of running out the gate you worked to open.
And again killer bots wouldn't be good at the game but at least it'd let survs farm their bp inseas of the game force closing on them.
As for the endgame situation? "Almost impossible" to snowball is a gross exaggeration. Obviously some killers will end up with a 0k but guess what? If you get outplayed as killer that might happen. But it goes the other way just as often as not. Survs get greedy and go for a save or bodyblock, killer capitalises on that and gets more hook states and maybe even a free kill or two. I've done it plenty of times.
Endgame time is very uncertian for killer higly effected by MAP, killers power and survviors state but its not wherer killer is strongest especialy when gates are opened like some are like bubba potencionaly strongest while others like ghostface are super nerfed (he sucks around deffending saves due to how easily survivors can counterplay him) so its huge risk for both sides a uncertian outcome it have heavily shift into killers favor making 1k to 4 or 3 or it can favor survivors making killer have 0k but I dislike like everybody here swings "Its where killer is strongest and favors him" well sometimes it does but sometimes it doesnt thats whole DBD aspect of nothing stable and heavy rng aspects.
I dont claim killer should get abandon when gates are opened and the timer just started but like when its at half and no one is hooked at that point theres not much of a reason to keep killer there if its loss for him and he wants to move on.
Also I think you comparing dc with abandon is wild because they arent the same, abandon we speak about here only happens at the games very end and doesnt effect points of survivors (well if killer dc survivors get escape points of 7k since what 2019 or what so I bet it would be with killers abandon the same) its just time save.

One side is different than the other. One side is much more able to dictate what happens in a trial. One side can often punish the other when they anger the one another.
Those remaining that "force abandon" (odd term, isn't it more "rage quit"?) need fixed yes, preferably with penalties, but that's not a reason to give another abandon button.
So you are against abanfon in general even against existing ones, or you just hate it on obe side while on other you deffend it like politician caught in corruption?

Dredge is one of the unreliable killers, you're right with that. I was wondering if I should put her on that list.
I decided to do that because as game progresses, dredge gets stronger and get the locks off the lockers.Henry can and does hit running targets, you don't even need to be great at this killer - surviviors mess up a lot against him.
Clown uses yellow bottles now, they are better. This grants you 12-15% movement speed.
Surviviors can hide behind the objects and you are right, but that's where skill expression comes in.
You can still predict movement with a lot of killers and dash towards the place, you can hit over those objects aswell with a lot of killers.Dreadge gets potencionaly stronger but theres no guarantee survivors lock all locker or he gets to most of them so he can remove the locks he is just rng.
Henry can hit it but you forget his attack by defoult is 0,6 seconds delayed and its hitbox area is 1,84 meters which survivor if sprinting covers 4 m/s so you can doge it by 0,5 seconds which is 2 meters distance and sprint makes you 6 m/s speed for 3 seconds thats 3 meters per 0,5 seconds.
So I dont know from what you have such faith that hitting survivor with sprintburst active is easy on henry, like I said its possible but it takes huge precisssion because that survivor can easily doge many things even double speed blight he can outmanuvere if he isnt bad. Not to mention henrys mobility isnt that great catch up tool compare to other vecans flight or wraith cloak mode.
Clown can boost himself and hinder you but it takes time to throw the bottle and switch for another one between effects he doesbt do both with one effect so he will get you faster but not that fast just by 12-14% depending on bottle he uses its no longer 15% without addons.
Yeah you can hit it but with sprintburst speed only fool runs straight in open against huntress with charged hatchet, jason with charged spear or wesker who has charged dash and objects exist on majority of maps thats one of reasons why huntress sucks more gor long shots nowdays theres more clutter on maps nowdays so unless that survivor doesnt pay attention and runs very predictibly he wont get hit and chances for that are slim.
Thats like saying hitting noscope while falling from sky with rifle is easy in fortnite, it realy isnt.
All these facts “maybe you can hit survivor who is using sprintburst” doesnt change how strong and good sprintburst realy is and how much it changes the game edpecialy when used right by experienced player or against killer who has no tools to somehow outplay it and must take it like pig or ghostface.

Initially there was no Map announced. Then they announced that Maps in the Withered Isle Realm will feature a unique Tile (I think when a TWD Character was played?). And then they made a "full" map.
My guess would be that the license holders last minute decided that they want a map, so BHVR let the intern create one in 15 minutes.
There should be another dlc for survivors from twd I think glenn and someone so theres space to rework the map or make another.
Still theres bigger hope for this happening then SM getting rework this year, pig and ghostface getting solid buffs.

Majority of killers can catch up or down you very quickly after sprint burst.
hillbilly, nurse, blight, clown, spirit, oni (in power), blight, twins as a victor, dredge, Singularity, lich, dark lord, ghoul, krasue, the first, wesker…
a lot of killers are ranged - huntress, unknown, trickster, animatronic, the first, deathslinger, demogorgon has great range too but you need to be accurate
Hitting sprint in range is bit difficult unless you have great aim and especialy prediction because sprint is 18 metersin 3 seconds so thats hard to hit especialy when survivor can use surrounding objects to get from dashes and projectiles.
You mention lot of killers can catch up but some you mentioned are super unreliable like dreadge cant unless you ran near or into locker, henry cant because his hitbox doesnt make it easy to hit you with that speed and his mobility has huge cooldown so you will have still lot of distance between you two.
Clown slows you but takes more time to catch up then wraith, lot of these killers need very specific situations to catch up like billy wont be able too catch up much on infoor map etc.
Sprint is great perk and gives you ability to gain massive distance to safety or doge attack that you wouldnt be able too normaly, if killer like huntress still hits you with axe while you are sprinting its your fault because is fricking hard to do.

Sprint burst was nerfed by adding killers that counter it? I just said that. And going by the trends BHVR will continue to add killers with bloated kits that counter perks like sprint burst.
Killers with catch up potencial exist since 2016 hillbilly so not kinda truth, sprint is countered mostly by killers that can catch up like dracula, krasue, wraith, billy, ghoul and not by killers with mobility to specific spot like freddy, springtrap.
Sprint got nerfed by exhastion not going away when running and that was it plus og 20 seconds cooldown got to 40 seconds on maxed sprintburst.
Sprint was meta since game release and buffed vigil still keeps it very popular and strong.

They have been nerfed already. Most of the newer killers make sprint obsolete. They have ranged attacks like Jason or just ignore it like Ghoul.
Nerfed when????
I only recal dead hard and thats what 4-5 years since rework and its still top tier meta perk almost in every game and many survivors wonder majority of killers learned to wait it out or bait it and expect it often.
Yeah new killers have big utility but old ones get smoked by leftovers from pallet density and exhastion perks only hinder them more because they lack the powers to deal with them so this claim isnt that great.

Its very simple. The problem is because it ends the game if the killer leaves.
I'm sure you would complain if the game ended the second a survivor disconnected. Like you work the whole game, get 3 kills and are about to mori your last survivor, then that survivor disconnects and you get booted to the endgame summary and don't get to do your mori. Or you hook one survivor and suddenly the game ends and you don't get chance to play.
If they added killer bots for 1v4 then I wouldn't have an issue with killers being more able to abandon. Because then survivors could still play.
And sidenote any killer can snowball if the killer player is any good and thebsurvs get too cocky. It's easier with some killer and harder eith others but still possible. You make it sound like killer is thebweak roll and loses all the time. Which is simply not true.
I dont know what game you play but game already ends when survivor “dc” in loading into the match and it isnt super rare. Difference is abandon isnt dc you keep your points and I bet they would easily make it so you get escape bp when killer abandons just like they do it when he dc.
Killer bots I believe will happen at some point but their effectiveness will be bad (I believe) because its not easy to program all killers to play like players do it like bot nurse and spirit will be to tier we know it due to 2v8 and ones like huntress will be bumm because huntress mains hold axe and zone or wait for window for clear shot while bots pull back the hatchet when their los is broke with survivor which isnt what huntress mains mostly or m1 killers sill be just raw chasing you down without any mind games so easy to loop.
As I wrote earlier snowball highly depends on situation and certain things make it almost impossible unless survivors are very bad.
-
@Royval said:
power creep that’s your answer. You can’t play m1 killers anymore in the modern day of dbd whist having fun they’re outdated and bad.
The number of pallets outnumbers you as m1 thats hard fact especialy when majority of these m1s dont have antiloop like clown or tp like freddy who has solid antiloop too.
I tried pig after very long time and I think I wont touch her again unless they buff her good not like last ghostface buff where they reduced cooldown from 17 seconds to 15 like what kind of buff to d-tier killer is that, that smells like changes from 2017 where devs nerfed everything into the ground just like pig.
-
I dont think you need s-tier because currently only s-tiers are nurse and top tier blights after his nerfs with double speed addons.
Playing low tier killers with very restricted powers compare to killers that have something going on for them or thier power offers agency is huge difference. I finished all achivements on pig yesterday and tbh I wont touch her just like sm,sadako or other weak killers I dont find atleast fun because getting down against one guy just predroping everything while his teammates rush almost all gens and you cant do a thing in chase just hope they screw up or you get bloodlust is terrible. With killers like legion, trapper, ghostface theres some potencial atleast to get fast down or have fun but with pig or sadako for me its boring and you are just powerless or require the effort that on just mid killers gives you way more its like doing super hard physical labor thats just ruining your body and health for minimum wage compare to work where you dont destroy yourself and make solid money the effort and difference in outcome is totaly different especialy when majority of survivors runs same or very simular meta builds which these killers cant deal with well plus the remains of pallet density left huge amont of resources which these killers like pig lack tools to deal with.
To win with sadako against competent survivors requires huge effort which on singularity would give you the win 5 times faster and with more higher chance thats just fact that nothing beats and some people should inderstand that many players arent streamers doing hardcore challanges they just come tired from work or other things and want to play few games where they can chill and have chance to win without sweating their buttcheeks hard thats just it.

Which is still alot more practical agency compared to what the survivors can do. The killer is not forced to sit that whole timer despite peoples claims to the contrary, the killer can still earn points via powers or pallets, the killer can still get lucky with an idiot survivor (and we all know theres plenty of those). The survivors meanwhile can do what when they abandon? 4slugged/on hook: Crawl and pray that someones got a perk.
You know as well as I that if you give the abandon as soon as the endgame starts that alot of people will simply abandon right then and there because they THINK they can't do anything and "lost". People don't like to be rational on dbd.
I find it quiet poetic when one side can skip few seconds by abandon or force abandon while other cannot and must bare it to bitter end.
I get you worries about too many give it up but isnt it same on other side as soon they dont like something they dc or force abandon by going all down and yes you can easily force killer to down you all if he hooks survivor unless he stays at place and does nothing.

That's patently untrue, killers can easily snowball in the endgame after gens. Plus there are a hundred and one endgame perks that benefit killers after the last gen is done.
Sure you might not have a good chance if you're in endgame with nobody injured but if that's the case then you had a pretty bad game.
I wouldn't mind killer having nore abandon options if it didn't immediately end the game for survivors.
First of all not all killers can snowball all it comes to perks and killers power plus map and survivors situation (how many are downed, injured etc.), if you have nothing from this and they have gates then its gg plus many killers cant deal with bodyblocks well. Your idea falls apart because not everyone runs noed or endgame perks plus some killer powers just dont work in endgame like weskers power has huge comeback potencial compare to knights guards that are only good at dennying resets or forcing people out of gates unless you run certain iri addon.
Tell me whats bad on killers having abandon option once gates are opened and endgame timer starts??
Whats bad on killer deciding if he wants to continue at that point or calls it a gg and everyone moves on??
-
Only possitive thing about the whole map is how it looks and thats it.
The map is terrible for many killers and for survivor the main way how to play it is to prerun and hold W because there are few strong windows but many pallets alone are unsafe but they are connected to the windows or few good pallets creating the hold W set up.Terrible map espicialy on ranged killers without good mobility or stealth (the ones like jason or springtrap work there fine).
-
@Rulebreaker said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4100601#Comment_4100601
When exactly does the killer lose agency to the point they can not do anything practical?
In moment you dont have any preasure, no perks to help you, gates are 99 or opened and no survivor is hooked, slugged or chased away from gate at that point you are just strawman who has nothing and have to push them out at best unless they are super stupid and give you free hook which in that situation is almost impossible.
Thats why abandon should be there because only the killer knwos in what situation he is at the endgame and it should be his own decision if he proceeds to call it gg and abandons or he has potencial to gain something like more hooks or kills and stays there to finish it.

OG Freddy was overperforming on HIS launch, which resulted in BHVR nerfing an already weak killer. I feel like they just wanna avoid a repeat of that.
I meant 2025 sedond rework freddy.
The og freddy or released pig were heavily nerfed due to devs just adjusting game ballance by looking at one number and deciding from there which we know today was bad decision or bubbas saw speed was nerfed after his release but he was total zero compare to todays state or when his charge rework happen.
Just one of many mistakes dev team made.

We never will because DCs get tossed from the stats and he's had a lot of DCs. They're going to throw us some bs number like 65%. They'd never let a KR of 75% or something be known. That's too much ammo to give people.
Dc shouldnt be there annyway because theres no tell when dc happened it was at the start or at the end? We dont know and theres huge difference in these two.
For the second thing what were sm kill rates then where she had what around 70% kr so they will give you their stats (only top 5 from two categories for each side).
Other thing is time from which the stats are from like freddy where people went mad here that he had highest kr after his rework or krasue but forget fact that stats from krasue were both from time where she was op and used by lot of people and then nerfed and her pick rate dropped to one of least played killers which effects the stats a lot when the kr is % from that whole time period (probably diameter) but lot of people here just look at number and know all while facts like this go above their heads like always.Thank god devs dont balance their game just by looking at % on their stats as they did n old times, maybe?

As far as crosshairs, you'd need them unique to the character. Jason's spikes for example arnt being thrown at the center of the screen, but rather slightly to the left.
Yeah jasons spear has crosshair on tip ofthe spear or near it. Majority has it in the middle of the screen but it would help still evon on some dash killers like wesker, dracula.

You have no argument, you are just doing mental gymnastics to justify how insanely strong and easy slugging is. And the Devs know this, they just did not have the spine to do actual meaningful changes to the game.
And now we are here where Killers claim that slugging is actually good or that Survivors should even be happy that they get slugged by the Killer.
Funny while one guy stays silent all the times against arguments that arent so clear ragebait and yet here goes full in it.
I thought you have better judgement on these topics.

Killers already have something that's kind of worse than Vigil and you might not like to hear it:
Lightborn, I know it's a waste of a perk slot but it outright denies the other side any blinding item or perk value. Vigil on the other hand doesn't deny debuffs entirely, just makes them less effective.
Could Argue Enduring is vigil like also, on pallet stuns. One of my fav perks coz I love punishing same side pallet stuns.
It's also why I love vigil, I hate crowd control in games of any kind. plus it's the closest thing we have to a debuff cleanser.
I've used the perk even when it was 30 percent, but if it goes back to that the stacking needs to come back IMO, it's been one of my most used perks since forever coz of the support style component:https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/DXZTGAB9FATM/image.png
it's generally at 40ish percent escape rate (where the game is aimed to be balanced at), my main build I use is in the top 4 slots, given this also includes pre-buff, I've used it for years.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/N803PE58BT8J/image.png
in comparison my last 30 days which was mainly event queue is sat at one of the lower percentages of the perks I've used, hyperfocus stake out at the top.
I would very much like to see some actual stats regarding vigil, coz balancing off of vibes for a perk that's been in the game for like 8ish years is kind of wild lol ngl. You all didn't complain about it back then, why we all complaining about it now?Lightborn only effects flashy saves which arent so important in grant scheme of things while vigil makes exhastion perks stronger and reduces hinder and exposed effects which are main effects from some killer powers like clowns, freddys, ghostfaces and is nerfing them 24/7 while lightborn only removes one thing survivors can do but doesnt make saves undoable (you can still go under pallet or window if your friend has some kind of stun perk).
Comparing lightborn to current vigil is like comparing krasues exposed perk to noed, its just wild.

I feel like he should get blood lust quicker because of the high wall loop pallets.
More realisticly they could bring down the slowdown from when he pulls out a knife which is bigger then before but idoubt that, trickster is not liked by many survivors and he was always hated no matter which version it was and only survivors that like to face him are his mains. Thats why I doubt devs will give him so more attention they just delivered the rework and now they let him rot.

Im happy its over too. The new mechanics ensured the same event meta 4 killers every round. And feeling forced to play against that meta as much as possible to collect as many cakes before it ends. Now i get to play other games and wait for the rift. Currently on the final achievement for Turok 2 remaster on steam (beat the game on hardest difficulty).
As for above arguements about not effecting normal ques. If it was anything like 2v8 que, than my experience as killer in normal que during 2v8 was against legacy skin swat teams in full meta gear + hook spread offerings / all flashbangs and sabos. I couldnt even catch 1 person before 4 gens went off with my main, and then just got blinded by 2 flashbangs at once on pickup lol i would never play normal ques during 2v8 again as its like signing up for e sports.
I get you in time when 2v8 is out it leaves only sweats and swifts in that mode mostly which is hard to deal with and more annoying then waiting 2v8 queue times (I have same experience mostly).
Or other extream are hardcore blights and ghouls, my solution is leave them to wreck each other and play something else or 2v8 where they arent so easy to get.
The balck banquete was terrible like you faced 4 or just same killers because survivors had so busted powers so only few killers worked well with what event gave the killers which is again the situation forced to play something to not get crushed and sweat circle which isnt fun for both sides but there are still people deffending it even making posts that event was great well their opinion but i believe it wasnt that great it was just play that to crush or get crushed.
-
If ou getting riolled by weaker low tier killer on 5 gens well then its just your team tbh or you got top 0,01% player which can happen but highter chances are that your team just suck and there isnt much you can do (like in all games if your opponent is way better you will get destroyed its been always like this) but same can happen other way around so nothing new here.

Nightlight is the most consistent data we have access to, but this does not mean that it is actually good data. This is like saying that I am the best Basketball player in my home. Which is true, but does not mean anything.
The Data BHVR gets is way more consistent because they actually have access to the full data. Nightlight does not provide this, nightlight only provides what people want to upload. Saying that BHVR should grab data from nightlight is kind of strange, since apparently you dont understand the difference between BHVRs data (ALL games played) and nightlights data (whatever people decide to upload).
Yeah and since when we got some solid data?
All they share is just friction of ig picture just one piece of the puzzle. They share only top 5 in two categories average mmr and top mmr but we dont see the opposite like top 5 worst from each etc. last time we got global data was 2021 (bet you forget it as you do) but now its just top 5 x2 categories for each role which doesnt tell that much in comparison I would say nightlight isnt much worse of a information than what devs gives us like one who has best data gives you one piece from puzzle board and another one gives you whole different but very simular puzzle board thats just it.
So to all nightlight haters here yeah devs gives us like top 5 characters from two categories for both roles and theres 43 killers now so its bit less then 1/8 of a info thats less then 12,5% so we only know the top but whats the bottom then or middle??? We dont know and we can just all guess.
Where knightlight just gives very close data to devs ones, not that accurate but its whole bigger picture and its more close to theirs then any other.

I wouldnt count it bot has no feelings, still survivors can sstill call you a camper who needs to touch grass but I wouldnt pay attention to these emocional outburst from people that forget how grass looks.

Ghostface was plenty good in the event, I didn't play him a ton but I did play a few matches with him and won them all. Marking a survivor, having them try to go invisible to try and get away, and me downing them anyway was so funny. This included one match against a coordinated three stack as well.
Hens showcase proved how well most of these killers can do against even a coordinated team, the killers didn't win most matches but they did perfectly fine and got plenty of hooks even on the maps picked specifically to make the killers look weak. Most of those matches also restricted the killers to low tier add-ons meaning ghostface couldn't run drop leg or drivers license and Trapper couldn't run either of his iri add-ons or honing stone, trapper in particular with and without those add-ons is night and day strength level.
On the ghostface matches in particular, I have never watched Stalkedd before but he knew he was going into Lery's and then proceeded to never stalk survivors. I assume he is a decent ghostface but it feels like he went in with the intention of trolling the showcase or trying to make ghostface out to be weak. Ghostface needs some buffs but he isn't as weak as he is made out to be by many.
The invincibility, invisibility, and speed boost last literal moments, you can easily wait them all out. I am not saying they had no effect on matches but far less than its made out to be. The poison had a much more dramatic effect on my matches, the only thing truly rivaling the poison is the full table effects and those take time to setup (rng dependent), if the survivors just tried using the morsels they lose to poison usage it was that strong.
Overall, I also quite enjoyed the event. The portals made me lose my mind in some matches (and there was a night I got four camembert in a row) but overall I enjoyed the changes and different gameplay they encouraged. I think the poison needs a change so the killer has more to interact with and preferably something different per course like the survivors or perhaps a separate set of courses altogether for killer and each match would mix and match them. I think it was a great first draft of an event and fully expect it will get better and more fleshed out in the coming years.
Ghostface is bad very bad, in hens vid he went against team that uses coms and calls things out which is main counter against ghostface or stealth killer thats main power comes from surprising his victim and getting very fast down and thats soper hardcore in comps settings compare to normal match with soloq or one duo but that doesnt change the fact that ghostface is very bad and nees serious buffs not just fraction of his brown addons into basekit as he got lately.

You're using the 2 most stereotypical scapegoat "weak" killers in the game as examples. They're used to talk about how weak killers are in 1v4 too, even though it's always just those two and maybe Pig that seem to be the problem.
And Ghostface is an instadown killer. Poison should theoretically go hard on him. Mark, poison, free down.
Ghostface is good????
YOu seem to forget he doesnt get instadown on a whim like mayers, bubba, billy but he must get full stalk and then its just timed so things like vigil clears it plus ghostface in chase is bum not to mention he is the most weakest killer against swf or coordinated surviors because survivors control his power or can easily.
Hens made videa about worst 3 ghostface, trapper, merchant I get it was kinda comp settings but guess who lost the most and was biggest bum in there…… Ghostface wonder why (I already wrote it above).
Ghostfaces all power is hope that he can be unpredictiable and get fast downs by surprise which is something swf in any formation can totaly counter (even duo) and even solo can have one guy to run behind him and reveal him and force chase or him being m1.
Ghostface reveal is 3 seconds and you need to stare at him like 70% from that 3 seconds and its super bugged in survivor favor while he needs to stalk you for longer 4,5 seconds or lean but he looses lot of distace and still its just instadown but against invisibility, invincibility, speed boost, unbreakable pallets chances for ghostface to get down with poison instadown in chase are thinner then you think, very bad of a expectation from this killer to do well in black banquete even trapper would do better because he can atleast shut down the loops and trap objects.

I don't know where this thing about MMR not existing in events came from but it's been stated multiple times that it does exist, it just doesn't change during the event:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/EF1ZXLLHLCYQ/screenshot-20260716-212402.jpg
It wasn't a bunch of low MMR babies in my lobbies. These were the sweatiest three weeks of matches I've ever played.
So you didn't mention Clown, whose generally considered low tier, in your cheese list but now he's suddenly strong. I only ever used the poison on items anyway. I played normal.
People did the thing where they made shack impenetrable to me too. You know what I did? Left. Get rid of the table setter and your problems are solved. You just have to think. The invisibility was very loud. It was easy to injure or down people while they were using it. The invincibility was easy to wait out. Most of these things were pretty mid and overstressed by killers.
Any competent team can win? Then what does competence look like when I won almost all my killer matches against very aggressive and coordinated players at the same general matchmaking level as me?
Maybe there is mmr but I have no faith in devs claims especialy we seen it with things like cakes.
It wasn't a bunch of low MMR babies in my lobbies. These were the sweatiest three weeks of matches I've ever played. Then is sus you won it without poison because without it survivors have another strong perk (cake effect) plus global effect from table and good teams that would drag you normaly or you barely draw or win would make you in black baquete loose if you didnt use poison (which is what you claim).
S
o you didn't mention Clown, whose generally considered low tier, in your cheese list but now he's suddenly strong. I only ever used the poison on items anyway. I played normal.Oh clown isnt that strong in many things but in chase he is beast just almost every top survivor will tell you (the comp ones) that lasting long against clown in chase is very hard because his antiloop is very good he just sucks in parts like mobility or slowdown (unless his chases are very fast but thats thing for all killers) but in antiloop clown is better than jason or springtrap especialy with addons and slap poison from event into it and survivors will be toucheable even on some loops with unbreakable pallets that would make other killers loose them there like jungle gyms due to his bottles he can still play them.
And what you can do against loop thats infinite for 1 minute without power that ignores loops or has some range hit potencial? All you can do is leave it unless the pallet times is near its end but good swf can have second table ready.
Rid of table setter? I´t can be any survivor and others will do what gens so your preasure ends there unless you tunnel him out fast and dont forget some powers from cakes are way too strong to hold survivors long in game alone without table, table can be set just with one survivor and all can do it so not that great of a advice just more like casual advice but every team is different.
Invisibility is loud and that covers footsteps from that cake not toi mention chase music can start even when survivor is already invisiable which makes tracking super hardcore so not much of a great advice again just works well on people which have volume high and good set of heaphones.
Easiest to outplay was invicibility due to many killer powers penetrating it like jasons m2. Dash cake could be again outplayed by dash killers it was jsut bit stronger distance gain like from OG Dead hard. Invisibility was strongest and hardest to deal with mainly due to how sounds in DBD are inconsistent and on some maps survivors footsteps are super quiete or on some survivors.
Any competent team can win? Then what does competence look like when I won almost all my killer matches against very aggressive and coordinated players at the same general matchmaking level as me?Well then you used all things well or they werent so competent, I had multiple strong teams that beat me so hard I couldnt do anything or games where I win on 5-4 gens (which were most because I thinked and used killers that worked well with what event gave to the killers).
As I said teams that you barely draw normaly or beat just nearly would destroy you there in black banquete unless yo uused poison to its max effectiveness and get fast chases and many downs from the start which is where killer in that event was strongest kinda becuase survivors had better effects in endgame and kept cakes till endgame (one) but een that was solid game changer like some impossible saves became possible just because of one invis cake etc.
Worst event ever just sweat against sweat nothing unique about it.

Killers just needed to do what they're always telling survivors to do—adapt. I didn't play any of the killers you mentioned and ended the event with a 75% KR on Clown and an 80% on Dracula, and i barely even used the poison. These effects were very manageable and often easy to exploit if you took time to think about it. If people are hiding in loops with unbreakable pallets or running at you with invincibility then they aren't doing gens. All the toys in the world won't win them the match if that one thing doesn't get the focus.
Dracula, the lich I had almost all wins too wonder why? Strong killers with many abilities to counter many powers from survivors plus poison makes them very potent yet I bet you had good match with event reduced mmr (in events like this devs many times stated mmr is turned off or totaly loose compare to regular mode).
I played both roles and I know what swf even just single duo could do in that event and killers you mentioned yeah clown is one of best in antiloop since he came what is it 2018 or 2017 so no wonder he can do good when he slows you naturaly with gas and that with poison is even more leathal because compare to cenobite who makes survivor walk thus reducing the poison effectiveness to minimum the clowns hinder even when slows survivor still runs and poison works with that.
Unbreakable loops yeah try normal shack with killer who has no powers that can work there (dracula deffinitely has powers to fight that) or some god loops and even with billy, bubba or mayers you are done there. Invisibility another bs that could be spawn and only fool wouldnt get lost from the chase and killer with it, survivors had many tools and kept them longer and killers only action to fight that was use poison and win chases fast to counter that thats why swfts went to rush because if you rushed fast 4 gens and waste killers time a lot with cakes and table powers you could keep lot of resources when you lost these powers and killer only got chance to have 20 seconds of lightborn or endurence (what a super strong effects).
Any competent team could win games that would normaly loose there but not every killer could do so unless the killer that was used had abilities that could fight the cakes and table powers like henry, nurse against invincibility with unbreakable pallets.
Totaly busted event not to mention number of bugs and many thoughless things.
-
Worst event so far just the right one that pressed one side to sweat to have chance to win and other naturaly sweated too then any other event we had so far.
Effects were nice idea but the exetution and how ridicilous some table and cart spawns were so just one survivor could put donw a table in less than a minute and how some effects were broken so only killers that could match it were just ones that instadown, deep wound or cause broken effect like bubba, billy, mayers, legion, plague just showed how "well done" this event was.
Heres another proof how some tables were busted and if just you got swf and played killer who couldnt deal with certain effects like bubba with ubreakable pallets then it was gg.
-
Idk but there was bug that delayed your screen after blink so maybe its just another bug.
Personaly I dont play her that much but it may be a bug just look at some nurse mayins if they havent made some vid about i, they usualy find these bugs first.

I think you misunderstand, if the killer hooks someone and then goes to search the gens for the next chase. There is no killer at the hook, so no body blocking can possibly happen. If the killer goes back to the hook for the easy hit, the game should make this harder to get value for the killer. There is currently too much value in tunnelling out a player. If someone is dead before the 3rd generator is complete, its like a 90% of killer victory. It is WAY to effective that is why killers tunnel someone out.
Well if killer goes to the hook and theres save happening and unhooked survivor goes for bodyblock when killers intention is clearly to go after the saviour then you cant be surprised when he decides to tunnel the bodyblocking survivor.

WHo would you body block if the killer wasn't returning to the hook trying to kill the unhooked?
Many do because they want to use ds on killer who isnt tunneling them etc.
There are survivors doing this some even bodyblock hooks even when its clear it will be just trade but they exist.
The biggest number of bodyblocks I personaly have to deal with is when I go after the saviour and uhooked guy just goes “nah” and bodyblocks then is frustrated when I go sometimes for them because its pointless to go for first target when his endurence run out and healthy none hooked survivor is in safe location so fast down with risk of DS then healthy unhooked survivor in safe location. In some cases survivors do stupid decisions and wonder why killer is so mean when they ask for tunnel bx bodyblocking heslthy durvivor who isnt death on hook.

He is decently good in 2v8 if you just go full on his marking survivors as your teammate can then down full health survivor who has the mark with M1 too. Most of the time when I saw people playing him they just go after one or two survivors marking them and then chasing them. When I myself played him in 2v8 I just started marking everyone when ever I could usually ended up me and teammate winning.
Depends higly on map and survivors skill especialy swf because ghostface is killer which power can be controlled by survivors and it isnt strong thats why he sucks a lot and ofcourse he needs goid killer who can m1 like wraith, spirit, wesker in that mode.
Good duo can kick you out of power reliably and you dont have anything thats why he isnt that great especialy if map isnt indoor one. I would say in 2v8 trapper or nemi are more reliable then ghostface who is either very good or bad depending on circumstences because nemis slowdown from zombies or trappers ability to deffend area in late game prooved to be more reliable in manx of my games both as killer or survivor where ghostface was either doing very well or was doing almost nothing.
In lights out his black clothes plus his low profile are great and him marking survivor who is clueless and half the times runs into you.

Only game mode where ghostface didnt compleatly sucked and had some potencial.

Agreed! 100%
Also please don't ever bring back Invisibility and Portals. Miserable.
Yeah the most guarantee escape button that ever was in the game, also unbreakable pallets shouldnt be brought back especialy when survivors can vault them.
-
@ShanoaLegendaryPlz said:
I've never seen such a high pick rate for leatherface lol him/legion/plague were nearly 70% of the matches
Well there arent so many killers that work well with poison and even if they do the m1 bae attack can be countered by many powers like invincibility or global heal so killers that can one shot reliably like mayers, bubba, billy and killers that cause deep wound or broken like ghoul, legion, plague are great pics they get max value from poison and global heal doesnt bothers them that much because if carts spawn few meters from table or its swf atleast duo they can stack 4 cakes easily and swf even on command when they needed it most which makes some downs and chases take too long so no wonder few killers are picked the most.
-
Personaly I hate the invisibility the most with portals it has counter but its very limited unless you crack up your volume up and have good set of headphones (basicaly pro spirit settings), this power makes survivors if portals are set right the most time wasting for killer becuase one invisibility or powered portal (when table burns and portals give invisibility) is guarantee escape most of times.
Second worse to play against are pallets because invincibility from cakes can be bypassed by many m2 powers but the real deal are pallets which make many killers unplayable and many loops become basicaly infinites where you cant chase the survivor even with poison like shack so the biggest problem or one of biggest from old DBD infinites for 1 minute nice who could come up with such great idea. Not to mention survivors can vault over and over unbreakable pallets another cherry.
Weakest is the sprintboost cake with action speed but still strong because survivors gain huge advantage in chase basicaly half of the effect old DH offered the speed to close distance between loops but its actualy longer, then the table bonus for minute is 10% haste for any action and survivors get 10% haste if they are close to each other which makes this great for rushing gens and super great against slower 4,4 m/s killers.
The most annoying part are teams that control tables and spawn them regulery to heal all survivors and gain effects which makes some chase basicaly impossible to win.
edit: poison for the killer isnt bad but its only strong on some killers which can use it with oneshot abilities or their powers well or two tap fast. Still compare to many survivor abilities the poison is guarantee any game and there are perks survviors can use to counter it entirely which isnt case for survivor abilities where every killer struggles against satleast one modifier and arent guarantee but randomly chosen.

It's way more than 33% reduced efficiency.
At 4 survivors, it's 1 survivor hooked, 1 survivor being chased/hiding, 1 survivor rescuing, 1 survivor on gens.
At 3 survivors, it's 1 survivor hooked, 1 survivor being pursued (chased/hiding), 1 survivor rescuing, 0 survivors on gens.
This is why gens fly at the start, and then crash at the end, and why perks that just automatically trigger remote regression like Pain Res are so string in 3v1. Tunnelling cuts generator progress by 100% unless survivors start cutting back on time resetting or have particularly long chases.
Precisely no amount of slowdown and regression beats this fact that when you have one survivor less (one pair of hand less) survivor can cover less things on maps like in your exsample thats why tunneling works because having 4 survivors alive on 1 gen left is gg and 3 on 1 gen left is possibility to win.
Thats a reason why even best players (deffinitely one of best and no one can object this fact) which are playing in tornaments will always if they can go for tunnel because they need to cut that effiency in order to win.
Having 3 survivors alive is super important because if you can preasure them well then you can have situations like you mention where no one does gens which means they dont progress their objective and even if they do its still 2 free survivors on gens not 3 which is huge just compare loosing two gens in 2 minutes to 3 gens in 2 minutes the difference is huge.

@cburton311 said:
No. We have seen the result of this, which isn't less tunnelling at all.
Tunnelling is too efficient, that is why killers tunnel. We need to make tunneling not efficient, and then buff killers to achieve the desired escape/kill rate.
For example, if you made survivors gain a 30 second speed boost to 6/ms and the killer became stunned for 10 seconds if they hit someone just off the hook. Killers would never tunnel. SO we can fix it immediately, it would just be terrible for the fun of the game. Survivors would feel to safe, and killers would feel to impotent. But it does demonstrate that tunnelling could be fixed, the other side of the equation is how do killers still find success at the same rates (weak and strong killers alike)
Yeah but what you wrote as exsample can be very easily abused which is what even nowdays people off the hook do they go for bodyblock (sometimes totaly not needed one) or go use their ds if killer doesnt tunnel which is another problem.

I dont really see the reason people want the long initial cooldown at the start of trial. Like I said before, there's actual reasons for it on Onryo and Dredge to have a window at the start of the trial. Jason on the other hand is basically in the same boat as Dracula at the trial beginning. Theres no real reason other than to give a random nerf.
Fact is he cant get across the whole map like dreadge or onryo but the cooldown being so low (its what 4 seconds it should be bit longer), the other parts I mentioned are reasoneable i would say.

I feel like MAYBE a good middleground would just be like him have the same tracking tools Spirit and bat form Dracula have. He'd still have SOME way of using his OE mid chase, would be able to see scratch marks further than footprints now... but wouldn't be able to see them through walls and separate floors.
Omnipesent is the part thats bit overtuned on him then his spear or post jump scare speed buff.
It has super low cooldown at the start of the trial, its cooldown is very small like it should be 15 seconds minimaly or 16.
He can stay in it as long as he wants which sometimes is bit slowing game in a way that nothing gets done and things dont move so better option is either a) limit time he can stay in omnipresent like 25 seconds or something like that or b) that he can stay in it as he wants but after like 25 seconds he looses his tracking ability and must rely only on sounds and his intuition.
This would make him better killer to face like i dont have problem with spear because I know its lot loop dependent and if he misses it he must go out of his way and reload but what makes him unfun for me is how fast he gains his power, jason is killer that longer you loop him the weaker he gets (looses his haste and wastes time by reloading spears) but omnipresent having so few limitations is kinda most annoying part about him tbh and using it in chase isnt that great because if survivor presses crouch button the he evades him compleatly.
