It might not be the same team, yet they could change the money and resources put into the cosmetic team or creative team, into the bug fixing team...
Tbh I just think the bug-fixing folks are overlooking a lot of things. Maybe they need to hire some new people, certainly. But you have to spend money to make money. DLC and cosmetics bring in the money to hire these people.
Though on that note, I don't think money is the issue. If there's not enough work getting done in that department, it's probably not because of lack of money. I'm pretty sure Behaviour is in a great place financially right now. They just need to make some staffing changes, perhaps.

Yea but if you fix those bugs more people would play and spend money. Other then buy the game and it's not even playable do to connection errors. I just finished a game after got an error didnt get my exp or blood points from the game. What's the point when you can't even progress.
I hear you, I do. I'm not saying that the game runs perfectly, because it most definitely does not. I'm having crash issues on console myself since the new patch (though Wednesday was MUCH better than Tuesday). I'm just saying that people always conflate all the teams and blame new content for bugs not getting fixed, when that's not really how it works.
-
You're not wrong.
If killer has Tinkerer or otherwise suppressed heartbeat and is able to sneak up behind you, it's pretty much gg.
-
Bug fixing team is not the same as the creative team. Someone always brings this up when it comes to cosmetics too. Just because one area isn't "doing their job," so to speak, doesn't mean that the other teams just stop doing theirs. If you want the bugs to be fixed, it needs to fall on the QA and coding teams.

It's the very top floor, the gen in the tiny room with nothing else in it. Should be the only gen on the top floor.

It gets really bad. When I was reading about how it becomes unplayable I thought people were exaggerating. Unfortunately, they weren't. At least when it comes to Demogorgon.
Last game I played was as Demogorgon at the meat plant where the fps got worse as the match progressed. Frames are fine when standing still but as soon as I start doing anything... Afterwards, I asked one of the survivors if they experienced any framerate issues and they said not really.
I've noticed slightly worse fps with other killers too but nowhere near as bad as Demogorgon. Sucks, because I really want to play as it 😞.
Is it that bad? I haven't noticed it being anything unplayable on Xbox One X.

5 - 30 FPS and having to use a controller for a game that’s meant for the pc. I don’t know how you guys do it.
It's really not as rough as a lot of people think. If you're used to console play over PC, it's mostly fine. Once in a while a patch brings in extra frame drops, but it usually seems to get corrected pretty fast. I'm not sure if they're backend hotfixes or what, but it always bounces back to normal.
I run on the X1X if that makes a difference. Regular X1 or regular PS4 might be different.

Cause everyone who plays dbd watches ST too
I watch it and I still got it wrong, lol. I also figured it would be the "main" room, because that's usually the type of gen the achievements are geared towards.

According to the Leaks by Daylight Twitter, it will be the last weekend in September. Take it with a grain of salt, though. Wait until the devs actually announce it before planning for it, because the info could be wrong or could change again.

yeah i know, i haven't seen any complaints on any hair graphics
Spirit looks raggedy too. I’m sorry friend.
-
And mind you, I have never agreed with people asking about refunds for skins. Little enhancements here and there are whatever. But when they completely rework it into something that doesn’t even resemble what it was before, I begin to understand where those folks were coming from. I paid for what I wanted. Now it’s just an ugly cosmetic I won’t ever use again.

I didnt see any complaints about the hair being ugly. personally i liked how it was before, it's ugly now.
Yeah. Now she looks like she’s growing baby hair. It was fine before.
Here’s my issue: if people didn’t like it before, they didn’t have to buy it. But now those of us who bought it because we DID like it are getting boned.
-
Can we get a weighted frequency/drop rate for the new map please?
-
It will probably go live in-game (purchasable with auric cells) in about 35 minutes, and probably deploy in platform stores (Steam, Xbox, etc) an hour-ish thereafter.
I'm pretty stoked. Bummed that I have a 10 hour work day tomorrow and Thursday though. I feel like I won't really get to enjoy it until the weekend!

Couldn't agree more with what you've said it's not the point he's making its the way he goes about it.
I watch because he plays at a high level and i want to learn but often turn off due to his attitude towards his viewers/subs.
That's exactly my stance as well.

I mean, I've heard what he says about balance. I don't agree with everything he says, but I am kinda in agreement with the overall message he is sending. I usually only see him get more adamant about his stances when he is either hella salty or when people are trash talking him.
Oh, don't get me wrong. He raises some solid points. But it's the attitude behind it that I find problematic. It's his arrogance about it and his difficulty addressing counterpoints with grace.

Is he belittling people, or is he just voicing his disagreement? I admit I watch his Youtube channel more than his stream, but from what I see, the only people who he really goes out of his way to put down are people who trash talk him.
Perhaps "belittle" was a strong word. But he does have a way of making you feel stupid for having a different opinion. He may not necessarily always say "That's stupid" (though he does that on occasion too), but it's his body language and tone that make it quite apparent that your opinion is not valid to him.
If you ever want to check it out, he had a long talk about balance today at the beginning of his stream. You can go back and watch the VOD (saved stream) on his Twitch channel and just kind of see that air that I'm talking about. It's somewhat hard to explain, I'll be honest.

@Kenshin said:
this guy only complains whines in his streams. why would someone watch that? or did he change finally?
I feel like he whines more than he used to, actually. I still watch him because it's kind of a morning ritual for me before work, but I find myself rolling my eyes more often than not. I used to be subbed but I ended up canceling a few months ago because I couldn't justify giving my money to someone who talks a big game about entitlement but has quite a lot of it himself.
Don't get me wrong, everyone is entitled to their opinions. But Tru3 will actively belittle you in front of his whole chat if your opinion is different from his. Because he is using "observational fact" and is "good at being analytical," and everyone else is "arguing from emotion" and "creating a false narrative." I even heard him call someone a moron the other day for commenting on his build. Don't even get me started on the fact that he accepts builds for $10 donations and then talks ######### about every build a viewer gives him. You're getting cash money to play it, dude. Play it and don't complain about it the entire time, or stop doing dono builds.
This is also just a personal pet peeve, but I hate the fact that any Fog Whisperer talks a bunch of crap about the devs. You were selected to be an ambassador. Don't bite the hand that feeds you. Not that you can't disagree with the devs, but he often calls them stupid and more-or-less insinuates that he'd do a better job than them. He acts like he's the smartest person in the room and that arrogance is so off-putting.
-
I’m sorry you’re bummed, but here’s a word of advice, if I may:
Don’t ever take release dates, event dates, etc too seriously unless you see a dev say it. Most events and releases will be announced with ample notice.
The people who run the wiki do find some great information from time to time, but just because it’s in the game files doesn’t mean it’s 100% confirmed. Dates change, plans change, and sometimes files are mined before the devs have finalized things.
And what others are saying is right, as well. Having the event during the ptb would have been a disastrous decision. So always keep that kind of logic in mind when speculating about events in the future.
-
Tru3 kept bringing this up today, that people are saying the pounce is OP.
But I’ve watched about 6 or 7 content creators playing the ptb, and I have not heard a single one say anything about the killer being OP.

The release dates are tentative anyways so the people who data mine the info that goes up on the wiki is true its just that those dates/info are subject to change......
Past events like chinese new year, the halloween cosmetics and invitations and crap all ended up on the wiki after being data mind well before the events hit live and ended up being real/true.... just because these dates haven't been confirmed yet or if they end up not being accurate doesnt mean the person didnt get the info from a good source.
Yes. Like I said, I never thought anybody was lying or maliciously trying to misdirect. But they don’t always specify that things are subject to change, and then if something doesn’t happen, everyone blames the devs. The contributor I was talking about never accepted responsibility for it either, he just kind of jumped on the “blame the devs” bandwagon and got angry at anyone who said he was wrong.
He has a radar for these things, too. I’m waiting for him to come yell at me again. I honestly am not trying to be rude. I know they work very hard to keep that page current. Just stating facts and sharing my experience with issues in the past.

Yes, thank you, that was one of the specific times I had in mind. People were pissed.
I remember vividly! I do recall saying something about it not being official around that time, to try to put out some fires, and one of the contributors got very angry with me here. Like, I wasn’t trying to be rude. You’re not official. I’m stating a fact, not insulting you.
-
@Exerlin said:
Yeah, I'd like to see some specific instances where there is misinformation. Just saying that 'there are lies somewhere' isn't gonna cut it.
They posted the Spirit launch date as September 11th last year, a couple weeks beforehand. The 11th came and went and people threw a fit when the chapter didn’t come out. It was pretty chaotic.
Not a malicious attempt to spread misinformation, but a little careless about advertising dates that don’t always pan out.
-
The other way you can think of it is
Number of generators remaining is equal to number of survivors dead
(0 gens remaining and 0 dead, 1 gen remaining and 1 survivor dead, 2 gens remaining and 2 dead)
Or—automatically when 1 survivor remains. This addition is still relatively new to the game...it used to adhere to the same rules and if you were the last one left, 2 gens had to be done before hatch spawned (3 gens remaining and 3 dead), so if your team didn’t get any gens done, you’d basically be SOL.

But you agree that gens popping to fast when optimal survivors play? I would love to have fun second objective for survivors cuz that's what I want as survivor aswell. But we all know the devs. It's gonna happen. To much work for them.
It’s...wow. Facepalm.
I know people meme about the devs a lot, but they work their butts off. If you think otherwise, go play a Triple A game 3 years after its launch and tell me if the devs still give a crap about it.
-
You’re missing out! And I honestly say that as someone who put off watching the show until a couple months ago because I assumed it was overhyped. It really is great though.
-
I’m on console and it does kill the hype a bit to see ptb content (I mod for some streamers, so I can’t really avoid spoilers.) But I understand the importance of the ptb and wouldn’t necessarily want it to go anywhere.
-
I’m pretty sure the most common theory was that the “dust” currency was related to the archives.

I like Poised, but that’s beside the point anyway. I have all the teachables in the game. I want bloodpoints.

I am not finding a single one on any characters who are maxed out. Is this a bug, or is 10 levels of crap rng normal?

That's not a bad idea actually .
Thank you. It has been on my mind for some time. Something needs to change, and I understand the grind is a huge part of the game. And don't get me wrong, I'm actually the sort of person who enjoys a good grind. But it's getting to be too much too fast now.

It is just Ghost Face. There is no survivor or map this time around.
Seems like a missed opportunity to only have a partial chapter releasing for the 3-year anniversary 😥
-
I love the idea of it. I have yet to get a chance to see it in action while playing, though. A lot of camping/tunneling/insta-mori killers in the few games I've played since the patch, and I never got to make it to the endgame. Red Rank feelsbad.
-
Did you have to post this 5 times?
-
Double bloodpoints is a big deal. But I think they could afford to do a 1.5x event one weekend per month to lessen the grind a smidge.
-
BBQ because bloodpoints. But to spice things up and break the meta, I actually really love Bloodhound.
Then Iron Will or Adrenaline (I don’t bring Self Care ever). Loving Poised too.

@Condorloco_26 said:
It's not about being DiFfErEnT tEaMs, it's about management and direction.
What kind of decisions are being made? prioritizing cosmetics over fixing game breaking bugs means allocating personnel and resources into making a pretty game, but one that crashes a couple of times daily, where you have year-old bugs and a truckload of issues.
But that still begs the question: what would the cosmetics team be doing otherwise?
I understand that there are some bugs that need to be addressed. And perhaps it's just a matter of one team doing their job more thoroughly than the other. But that shouldn't mean that, say, the cosmetics team gets their work downsized or eliminated to hire more people to work on bug and balance issues.
Imagine a car dealership. There are sales people, finance people, mechanics, etc. If one department isn't pulling their weight while another is absolutely going above and beyond, it doesn't mean one should do less work to make resources available. To compare to the BHVR situation, it would be like saying, "Hey, Mechanics. You should probably stop working on cars as much until the sales people get their crap together." It doesn't make sense from a logical standpoint. They operate in tandem but at the end of the day, they are independent of each other.
As others have said, cosmetics and DLC help the company make money. If it is a matter of allocating resources, maybe they should consider hiring some new/other people to work on bugs. But regardless, the cosmetics folks would be unaffected by any changes to a different team. So you wouldn't likely see a change there.
And to be honest, a lot of us do still enjoy the cosmetics. There are certainly in-game issues that need to be fixed. I'm not saying the cosmetics erase that fact. But I enjoy the skins as a separate entity, independent from the bugs. And a lot of people feel the same way.
