Now you know how killers feel when they have the chasemusic blasting into their ears with 120db.
-
Don't forget perks and items that outright hard-counter certain killer powers. Urban evasion and/or flashlight making Hag obsolete. Calm Spirit makes Doc an M1 killer. Spine Chill hard counters stealth killers and Spirit.
The only equivalent killers have is exhaustion add-ons for Huntress, Clown, and Doctor. The latter of which is confirmed to get removed in the upcoming
nerfrework. -

I started to see more Nurses lately. But they either get defeated pretty easily, either get carried by NOED.
Out of curiousity, what rank, platform, and region are you? The Nurses I saw so far, are actually quite solid, and none of them had NOED so far.

What bugs are you running into? Outside long lobby times and idiots dcing, I never see bugs.
Sound is messed up. Half of the killers have bugs that near enough half of their potential. The new map is bugged as well. I don't know where to start.
-
I would remove sound occlusion, to fix 90% of the audio issues we have right now.
-
Nurse's power is mainly unfun right now, because its buggy as hell. Her post-blink lunge is extremely inconsistent in terms of range, and the game quite often takes away your ability to charge chain-blinks. Also the Yamaoka map is littered with unblinkable zones.

Is this related to the wraith and spirit lunge bug?
No, it started with the introduction of dedicated servers.

It's nowhere near as short as what it used to be. Tell me would you rather have a cooldown to her power or a short lunge (that tier 1 myers has) instead? She doesn't even need a long lunge
Her lunge got heavily shadownerfed with dedicated servers. Its near enough non-existent by now. Just a quick example:
-
My personal favourite build for Nurse is:
Hex:Ruin - For the obvious slowdown.
BBQ&Chill - For information, and bloodpoints.
Nurses Calling - For tracking. Worksthe best on Nurse, because she can travel to healers with barely any warning.
Monitor&Abuse - Allows you to see Nurses Calling procs outside your terrorradius. Also give people on generators you approach less time to react, and therefor makes maps with good stealth possiblities less painful.
For add-ons, the cooldown add-ons, and range add-ons are the superior choice. If you are new to Nurse, I would pick the cooldown add-ons first. Once you got comfortable with her, you can switch one of your add-ons to range for the extra map pressure.
Other perks that also work well with Nurse are: Pop goes the weasel (instead or alongside Ruin), Infectious Fright (synergises with M&A), Sloppy Butcher (synergises with Nurse Calliung), Whispers. Shadowborn.
Other add-ons that are good for new players are: Plaid Fannel, and add-ons that reduce fatigue, like the Wooden Horse (reduces fatigue on missed attacks).
-
Bugfixes.
The game is such a huge mess right now.
If you check out YT highlight compilations or similar, you can see that atleast half of them are just showcasing bugs, its not even funny anymore.
-
For people that legimetely need to go, because of gamebreaking bugs, or real life ermgencies.
-
A 40 seconds stun would be a gamelosinf for the killer. So much time uncontested generator progress. That would be unrecoverable, even for a Nurse or Spirit.
-
"And most killer mains can agree (especially nurses) that the hitboxes are the size of the map."
As a Nurse main, no, I don't agree. My bonesaw often quite litterally goes through the survivor, but no hit gets registered.
-
Well, the playbase is at an alltime high according to steamcharts. So somehow Behaviour is doing something right to keep new players.
-
And survivors shouldnt have a 3rd person camera. Killer should not have a terrorradius and red stain. Unhooked survivors should be in the dying state, and have no i-frames. Survivors should slow down on a hit, not speed up. Injured survivors should be slower than normal.
The list of realism changes would go on, and go. Do you want all of this implemented?

What can they screw with adding pallet breaking sounds?
Are you seriously underestimating Dbd's spaghetti code?
-
I see someone watched OhTofu's video.

My forum name is a secret.
But my in-game generally varies from day to day. I usually name myself according to my mood. Like food, colour, animals, human names, et cetera et cetera. Sometimes people commend on my names too, if it fits my playstyle. Like the other day, I named myself "gg piece of #########", and people were asking if I am an Otzdarva fan.

Have fun hiding, because I will find you.

Yep. I don't bring NOED, because its a hex, but I always bring moris when I have them, because they are fun for me. Survivors don't give a damn about the killer's fun, so why should the killer care about theirs?

My Nea's are always darting for the saves even when the killer is only feet away from me. I swear, there was a lobby of 3 at one point and it was like the Finding Nemo seagulls at one point to who could get me off the hook first
Why I run DS, and Unbreakable. Not to BM the killer, but to save myself from farming Neas and Claudettes.
-
@Mikeasaurus said:
Now, not to be judgy, but was the follower a Claudette? Because I swear EVERY single game I always have that 1 Claudette that likes to either hide in a bush, follow the killer with a flashlight, or sit on a hatch waiting for you to die. No offense to Claudettes out there, but most I meet are just ughhh!
For me that's always Neas.
-
Removing the terrorradius would throw off the entire balance of the game. However I personally would be behind making the terrorradius always having the same intensity. Because right now survivors always just mindlessly repair generators with no fear, because the terrorradius is far away, and they can tell exactly when the killer is actually approaching. Making it like Freddy where the intensity is the same over the entire radius would increase the immersion, and make repairing generators within it actually scary, and a strategic risk.
-
Depending on the killer I am playing, killer is way more frustrating.
I could never ever be a Clown main, Legion main, or Doctor main (used to be one). I near enough only play Nurse by now, because even after her hefty basekit nerf (which I disagree with), she is still the most rewarding killer. However what makes her frustrating now, is the multitude of bugs regarding her.
Sound issues in general making tracking a giant guessing game right now. Blinks being robbed of you, turing into 1 or even 0 blink Nurse for unspecified time during the trial. The length of the lunge sometimes being longer, sometimes shorter (though, that was also pre-nerf, so I am pretty sure thats dedicated servers), and dedzones on Yamaoka making her borderline unplayable.
If the game was actually polished on a technical standpoint, and everything was working as inteded, I would find solo survivors more frustrating.
-
Wreckers' Yard
Small map, with a garunteed basement in the middle. It also features no god loops, so its a fairly balanced map, a rare occurence in Dbd indeed.
-
Yep, this is a absolutely devastating bug. It keeps returning every engine update, and takes weeks, often months to fix. Even though its quite litterally on a gamebreaking level.
-
I mainly dislike it for the scratchmarks being hard to see. Coupled with the sound issues (unrelated to Ormond though), its insanely easy to lose the killer on that map.
-
If you want sound to be broken even more, sure add new pallet sounds.

Lol that's why her kill rate was the lowest always..be cause there were never counters to her correct?
While I don't support her basekit changes, thats not an argument against it. She is the hardest killer to play, so naturally she has the lowest AVERAGE kilrate.
-
Her basekit changes were made, because survivors couldn't tell the difference between a boosted Nurse with Omegablink/additonnal blinks, and an actual good Nurse with no add-ons. So they just complained that the killer itself was the problem. Since the developers dont actually play their own game at a good level, they just took them by their word, and did a blanket nerf.

Oh for sure. I end up playing 3 and 4 gen with her because of her lack of map pressure, and starting a chase from too far away means you might not ever catch up to a survivor. And yeah, she's completely riddled with unique bugs right now. I managed to blink inside the tractor on Thompson House this afternoon. Not on top of it, like actually inside of it. The only thing that keeps me coming back to her are the games where gens fly, I don't get screwed by random pretty-good-job-so-fars, and I end chases in 15 seconds and keep pace with the optimal survivors.
Yeah, she is in a pretty horrible state right now. The Yamaoka map riddled with deadzones, the game sometimes robbing you off blink (turning you into a 1-blink, seldom into a no-blink Nurse),m and the post-blink-lunge sometimes being laughable short.
All this crap nerfed her more than the actual nerf.
-
Will not be done, because devs will be like "You can recognise their names and lobby dodge them next time."
-
What I am doing right now. I have my Nurse unprestiged, with all perks, and shitton of add-ons, offerings. I am using her with BBQ to prestige everyone else. Once I am done with that, Sally-bae gets her bloody cosmetics as well <3
-
As Nurse, its blinking more often or less often than expected. Or in general mixing up the blink pattern.
Sometimes survivors at close proximity start to wiggle around while looking behind expecting a short blink. Especially in corn, reeds, or around small objects. Just walking forward actually allows to catch up.
Or not always waiting for the 2nd blink to come back, but instantly use the 1st blink available. This throws off more survivors than I initially expected. Though its risky.
Charging up the second blink in a chase, but not using it. Quite alot of survivors do a huge double back in the last possible moment, because they know otherwise I underblink, allowing an easy M1.
I could go on, but I don't want to revela all my my tricks ;)
-
I was playing some killer matches today, and I was pleasently surprised to get a good amount of actual meme-teams. People that genuily ######### around with their friends even on red ranks. I am happy to even give hatch versus those survivors.

Oh, okay, lol.
Let's pretend the amount of complaints hasn't been high.
🙄
Complains are just empty promises, if people keep throwing money at Behaviour. Not any different from the developers' empty promises.

It's not bannable, no. You're fine to use a VPN to improve your connection (I assume that's why you want to use one).
VPNs only change your IP address, it doesn't do anything else that would catch BHVRs attention like that.
VPNs worsen your connection, not improve it. They put a third party between you and the host, and therefor increase latency.

Pretty much this.
They prioritize new content and cosmetics over anything else, but the community backlash in 2019 has been big enough to warrant them to do actual useful things. Issue is, even those useful things, they can't manage to prioritize correctly.
"Let's introduce a DC penalty!...but let's not fix issues like infinite loading screens, soft locks and other game breaking things happen to people on a daily basis forcing them to DC and now get penalized"
Not to mention numerous things they should be able to do, but haven't...
- Return legacy cosmetics to legacy players who lost them (yet, they find time to ban people for hacking it back in really quickly, even though you can see by their achievement dates they earned it)
- Fix hitboxes
- Get rid of ridiculous safe loops
- Rework Haddonfield
- Fix the speed gens get done (may or may not be directly related to gen speed, but more objective variety/map balance).
- Balance all the maps.
There's more, this is just the tip of the ice berg.
Bottom line is, that road map was just empty promises to lure people in. Sure they've done some, but expecting BHVR to get things done is like expecting a blind person to read a road sign.
There is no such a thing as a "community backlash in 2019". People buy cosmetics and chapters, and battlepasses like crazy. The playerbase is at an alltime high according to Steamcharts. Comercially, Dbd is a success, so thats why Behaviour will not change their habits, because it works. Money speaks louder than words.
-
The roadmap fundamentally went wrong. Dedicated servers are STILL not live on all platforms. Its just the devs promising things they cant keep.
-
Isn't it funny how survivors can always hear the Demogorgon from far away exiting the portal, but killers sometimes can't hear an injured survivor right infront of them with no Iron WIll?

Killers aren't simultaneously at odds with gen speed while refusing to use the strongest killer in the game.
If you're a competent Nurse and you get Autohaven, then yeah, chances are you'll be in good shape. Lery's, Hawkins, the Game? Oof. A corn map? Separates good Nurses from average Nurses, but she can still rock it. Red Forest or Ormond? Really hope you brought range add ons. My point is, while she still technically can be strong, she's very map dependent. That alone puts her more in line with Huntress in terms of power level at this point. A god tier Huntress will absolutely dominate on a favorable map, same as Nurse. And even a god tier Huntress will have severe limitations on an unfavorable map. Spirit will do 90% of what Nurse can do at peak Nurse capability, but Spirit will also outperform Nurse on many maps such as Lery's.
Yes, Nurse at her peak is better than any other killer. But she's the only killer that gets judged by her ceiling with a simultaneous disregard for her floor. And certain maps put a hard cap on her ceiling, regardless of how skilled the Nurse player is.
The Game is Nurse's best map. It has a superior sound, is really small horizontally, and is mechanically easier to blink than Lery's.
-
She is still the strongest. She bypasses the entire looping meta. Its just that you need to even more focused as mistakes get punished ridiculiously hard, which can be mentally draining very quickly when you do multiple matches in quick succession. And for new players she completely came out of favour, since Spirit offers near enough the same amount of domination, but with way less time invested to learn.
-
I always had problems with jumpy skillchecks. But then again, I have a bad PC, so maybe its just input delay.
-
Depends on map and rank. At high ranks it tends to get more survivor-sided unless the killer is Spirit or Nurse.

Luckily they also have perks to help them. A variety of slowdown perks and detection perks.
No amount of slowdown perks can stop survivors on maps like Blood Lodge, Thompsons House, Rotten FIelds, Haddonsfield, Disturbed Ward, Mothers Dwelling, Ormond, and many more.
