I will divide this post into 3 sections. 1) Changes to prestige system, grind reduction and play more needed role are nice. Can’t complain about it. 2) Baseline changes Longes gens - bad direction, holding M1 at generator is the most boring and unfun part of the game. Extra 10s, 50s total are not solution to negate slowdown perks needed for killers. Regression speed is bad and need to be adr0 comments 31 views last activity

The changes are promising, but tunneling is going to be the next single greatest threat to the game now that grinding progression is being addressed. With the proliferation of alternative 4v1 asymmetric horror games (both new and coming soon), it's going to be really hard to get new people excited about playing DBD when tunneling is so widespread and common. So most of us that have been around awhile have leveled a lot of killers and survivors. Now if you're like me you have valuable offerings trapped on characters you never play. Example: My oni and Freddy have a combined 200 event cakes on them. I haven't played either in ages and dont intend to. They will rot there forever. So why not have the ability to just move offerings in between characte4 comments 61 views last activity

I might be jumping the gun a little bit, but seeing now as almost all (but notably not all) of Guardian's effects have been either made base game or placed into No One Left Behind, I'm just a little confused as why to decide running it over other perks, or vice versa might be. I get that it still has some unique effects, but it just seems like it has a lot of explicit overlap with other perks/mec2 comments 31 views last activity

Bonus bloodpoints are a bad idea for perks for a multitude of reasons. First, I'd like to point out that both of these perks (BBQ and WGLF) have two functions, a stacking bonus to BP and a secondary effect. For BBQ, it's an information perk showing auras outside 40m. For WGLF it's a bonus to healing downed survivors. I suggest decoupling the bonus BP from these perks as the bonus interferes w2 comments 131 views last activity

I have read the new changes that will soon appear in the game. There are many, in my opinion, really good solutions and of course questionable ones. The strangest solution is +10 seconds to repair the generator. Of course I understand why this was done. I like other fans of playing for killers do not like that all generators are often repaired in less than 5 minutes, BUT this is not due to the fa0 comments 41 views last activity

I will probably go over everything, some things seem really good and some kinda bad. Overhauled Progression System I talked about it in different post, it's not going to help new players at all, it will make it worse instead and they have get it without BBQ extra BP. Matchmaking Incentives This might help a little, but not really to componsate for BBQ remove. So still won't get be0 comments 21 views last activity

There's a new developer update, which means new things to complain about! I'm personally fine with most of the changes. The base kit Killer buffs are nice, and so is the Survivors' built-in Borrowed Time. Others have already made posts about the base kit changes and the nerfed meta perks, which isn't what I'm here to talk about. Instead, I'll be focusing on just one of the "buffed" perks — Dark11 comments 361 views last activity

Making NOED reveal itself to survivors over a progressive period of time is certainly one way to nerf it. But how about a little parity? Survivor boons should also reveal themselves to killers with an increasing sight radius.1 comments 31 views last activity

these numbers are wildly high. XD are you sure it's not supposed to be 6/7/8 seconds? XD this perk seems like an almost guaranteed escape if one is even moderately close to a 99ed/open exit gate. maybe drop the numbers significantly, or i'd prefer to have Exit Gates regress to the last activated bulb so 99ing is no longer a thing. that would help a number of endgame issues, i feel, and this ma2 comments 51 views last activity

The new prestige system seems cool so far, but how super incredibly lame would it be to get rewarded with perk icon charms?? Like no one uses those. What if it was unique charms personalized to that character?? Ex: Yun Jin = concert ticket or event planner or Huntress = hatchet or rodent skeleton, etc. Like put some real creative effort into it maybe?1 comments 11 views last activity

i'm not gonna act like gen speeds aren't an issue because of course they are, but this is absolutely not how to fix it. repairing generators is the only way to progress the game and frankly it's ######### boring. holding m1 for 90 seconds isn't fun, i don't get how this isn't clear by now. survivor gameplay is just too simplistic, the last thing it needed was to be even more of an absolute slog.0 comments 31 views last activity

"Next, we’ve reduced the cooldown for successful basic attacks by 10% (now 2.7 seconds, previously 3 seconds) and reduced the duration of the Survivor’s speed boost upon being hit by 10% (now 1.8 seconds, was 2 seconds). Moving forward, Survivors will gain slightly less distance upon being hit, making it more difficult for them to run long distances to a safe area. Honestly, if this is the change for iron will, then certain survivors noises need to be addressed because Survivors like Jane, Jeff, Ash, Feng, Meg, and Laurie need to have their injured noises adjusted because they are really obnoxious and too loud to listen to. Don't make them too quiet like Ace, but make them mid-level quiet like Claudette, Dwight. These changes are more so to make certain c0 comments 31 views last activity

I've seen people using macros which allows them to flash their flashlight at an extreme speed. It appeared to be many hundreds of flashes per second. If anyone has issues with photosensitivity triggered seizures I advise against playing right now.0 comments 21 views last activity

very excited for the upcoming Perk Rework! please consider a small change to Coup. it would be great if the long lunge was activated with the Secondary Action button, instead of just a regular lunge, so we can more easily decide when to use it or not. would be nice if it was based on hooks also instead of gens, but the first change is much more vital imo. thanks!1 comments 11 views last activity

My laptop is a bit laggy sometimes, and hitting DS skill checks can be very, very hard. Some people like me have laggy hardware. Some other people are simply not able to hit those skill checks naturally. I know some people who don't use DS because they just can't hit the skill check, it's too hard for them. People also like to drink while playing DBD, you can imagine how hard it is to hit the ski42 comments 1,302 views last activity

First of all, I would like to make it clear that I play survivor and killer equally, so I won't (and don't want to) give biased opinions. Second, I would like to thank BHVR for this powerful and controversial patch that's coming. I was feeling like this game was fated to be stressful and poorly handled. I changed my mind. I can see Behaviour is willing to take it seriously now. BASE GAME CHANG0 comments 31 views last activity

Good afternoon, I hope you're all doing well and I just wanted to suggest that interacting with the Lament Configuration should be considered a Conspicuous Action. With the current definition of Conspicuous Actions as seen in the dev notes, someone could get unhooked, then while using Off the Record and Decisive Strike, go collect the box and complete it. Then, if the Cenobite teleports to the b6 comments 81 views last activity

I just want another thread about it so maybe they realize ;) But on a real though... Dear BHVR, You said you wanted to address the unfun situations, I can't see how being stuck on the hook is in any way fun. You titled the chapter about the anti-tunneling changes as "Camping & Tunneling" - nothing in there addresses camping. You even ended that chapter with "without fear that camping4 comments 51 views last activity

This is such a huge problem for DbD. Killers are pushovers. As a surv i have a million extra chances and running out the clock. As a killer only noobs are afraid. There's just no threat,15 comments 191 views last activity

Why are you buffing Knock Out even more to encourage slugging/bleed outs? While it may be ok in SWF because they are able to communicate where they are, in solo it adds another layer of misery and guarantees the survivors will die. I get you want to increase killers kills but why do it by buffing something that is completely unfun/uninteractive game mechanic? Holy cow, but I don't think there's a single change here that I disagree with. Well...maybe a few. Actually, quite a few. Assume that anything I don't mention, I either like or am not concerned about. The biggie, right off the bat, is that the changes aren't going to do much against camping Bubbas and Tricksters, as they can drill through Endurance pretty reliably while also instadowning/rapi13 comments 171 views last activity

As a veteran player (5k hrs, I play both sides) I will give you my first thoughts about the new perk changes. BBQ: fine Ruin: fine. After one person is killed before your ruin is gone you have a lot of pressure anyway, so it deactivating is ok. reduced numbers should be fine too. Can an effect like Bite the Bullet be added to Iron Will, except that it only prevents the perk user from screaming (loud noise notification) when others fail healing skill checks on them? ---- My friend started playing Dead by Daylight and wanted to play Claudette for her Self Care perk. They found that they preferred the longer heal time over risking other new players at their skill level fai0 comments 21 views last activity

Fantastic work, devs! I'm loving what I'm seeing so far and can't wait to play. I'm glad you removed the BP bonuses from these perks. However! I think that the stacking mechanics of both should be basekit. They don't even have to grant BP. It's more about rewarding the behaviour. Each perk encourages healthy play for the game by rewarding it. For survs it rewards altruistic play in safe hook0 comments 12 views last activity

Can we finally get an option to trash unwanted items, add-ons, and offerings? I usually save Prestige levels for events so that I don't get unusable event offerings once the events are over. I also just like having an empty inventory in general so if I could avoid having to play hundreds of games to use up my offerings on Billy (my only P3-50 Killer) that'd be wonderful.2 comments 151 views last activity

Seriously, I agree with majority of changes. I like that you are shaking up the meta, buffing useless perks and nerfing the top tier ones. The only thing I strongly disagree is Spine Chill. It was broken (I always run SC), but taking away BOTH early alert and vault speed makes this perk literally useless. Deah Hard and Monstrous Shrine changes are the most exciting for me! The perk is meant to reward killers and yet with the change it feels like it's gonna do none of that. It would be fine if it was JUST a 5% nerf but it's not, it's now 20% of what the survivors have progressed and not just a flat 20% no matter the progress on it. Shaking up the meta is cool, but overly nerfing perks when all you had to do was really just buff the weaker perks solves nothing. Cause13 comments 291 views last activity

The perk will make the killer's aura visible. I know undetectable will prevent the aura reveal, but won't the perk still light up and let the survivors know you're coming? They can just camp a pallet for a while.23 comments 501 views last activity

I get removing the bloodpoint bonus, but unlike BBQ that still provides useful information, the only other thing the perk does is increase healing speed in the dying state by 100%. Why would people bring that with the Botany change going live as well since that works on all health states? Just my thoughts. Can't see the perk being used anymore11 comments 601 views last activity

Hey, I'm writing here in hopes that a dev or someone who cares will see this and at least consider what I'm about to say. By now everyone's seen the recent suggested changes to a lot of the perks in the game, many of them being questionable to down right bad in all honesty, but one sticks out among the rest for a particular reason. At all. I look forward to seeing how the unhook endurance affects work in PTB but healthy survivors can still be grabbed at the hook and Cannibal’s chainsaw still takes less time to activate then it takes for survivors to unhook.2 comments 81 views last activity

A little while ago, I had an idea for how to address Bubba's facecamping: what if his saw stopped (not put him in tantrum, just stopped and went on cooldown) if he sawed into somebody with the Endurance status effect applied to them? That way, I theorised, at least Borrowed Time would do something (via guaranteeing a trade instead of a double-down) against a facecamping Bubba, provided you do a0 comments 21 views last activity

Why is it necessary to increase a wide variety of chase stats ON TOP of increasing generator speeds? It seems completely unnecessary. The survivor basekit changes are laughable. 5 seconds of Endurance off of the hook really won't make a difference at all, and camping and tunneling have been buffed due to the longer generator times, and the fact that DS only has a 3 second stun now. The recent patch note is a great one at the exeption of the nerf to WGLF and BQQ. BHVR dosen't want bloodpoint to dictate how you play but there is 2 issue : 1 . What about the new matchmaking incentive ? Isn't this also dictate waht I should play with bloodpoint ? If Barbeque and Chili, and We're Gonna Live forever are both having their blood point effects removed, please consider increasing their relative effects to say 6 seconds for BBQ and +140% for WGLF. Otherwise these perks will fall by the waist side quickly. Here are the stats me and a friend came up with You become obsessed with 1 survivor At the start of the match the osession can see all gens, hooks, chest and totems. You get to see auras of other survivors in a 20m radius from the survivor inflicted with it Whenever u hit a survivor it removes the all seeing effect from the previous survivor and puts it on the newly hit survivor (kinda lik4 comments 71 views last activity

Just read the patchnotes and the first thing I thought of was: "this will make DH completely useless against Deathslinger now". So the prestige system is going tobe infinite and is more worth to prestige your characters now, so could you add a button that skips 9 levels with bloodpoints in the bloodweb? You don't lose any addons because the black thing that eats the addons begins past level 9 this makes less of a pain in the ass to each time going through the small bloodweb this would makes the process a little bit fast0 comments 21 views last activity

Instead of it requiring your teammates to be 16m by a hook during second stage, Have it so you yourself can only activate it ONCE in the first hook stage, by pressing the action button to pause the timer for 30 seconds. I feel the changes that coming is going to make camping stronger especially with 90 seconds to do a gen, plus thana on top of it, there isn't really a way to punish camping kill0 comments 21 views last activity

So a lot of people seem to like the idea of a killer that can disguise itself to ambush survivors, but BHVR discarded this idea - the primary reason being that this would be useless against SWF. But...what about a 'mimic' killer - able to disguise itself as a chest, a generator or part of the scenery? It would likely be difficult to design, but the image of a group of survivors sitting down to7 comments 61 views last activity

I was saying I didn't want it to just be bloodpoints, but I take it back. At least bloodpoints are helpful, I don't need a little icon being like "yay u prestige 3'd on this character" I was hoping for bloodpoint compensation for lost items and some shards.... but we get an icon..... I'm very disappointed to say the least, I've been using my bloodpoints to prestige characters for nothing. Ver6 comments 62 views last activity
