May as well just removed spine chill from the game.

This iconic perk is now being made useless. What once gave you cat like instincts- should now be replaced with a picture of a floppy fish.

  • uh yeah I think they Nerfed it the wrong way

  • It's pretty bad, but I think it was supposed to be bad. Look at its "competitor" in Premonition

  • Stealth killers rejoice.

  • The devs never intended forcing killers to crab walk sideways to gens in order to play a match.

Having 3 spin chills in every game gets real old real fast they dont even want to get chased, they just run away as soon as spine chill procs. Also why they removed the vault speed, you dont wanna be chased, why get faster vaulting when you do? thanks BHVR

Glad the devs mentioned killers walking sideways

  • Both sides are going to have to accept that their meta may not be meta anymore. This means looking at perk choices and trying out/picking new things. Spine Chill's vault speed was QUITE strong.

  • I don't see how. It now has a speciality; it's an anti-stealth perk.

Additionally, the LoS restriction means you'll know if the killer is actually looking at you instead of just approaching or in the general vicinity.

It was a perk that did too much already, I may not love the direction they went in but it clearly still has a use.

  • Finally you can use a stealth killer/stealth build without being screwed over constantly.

what do you mean? so the perk only activates when the killer sees you, and vice versa you see the killer.. which makes the perk totally useless?

  • Sure let's leave it as is and give killers the equiv, if a survivor doesn't crab walk to a gen the killer gets a notification and if the survivor is facing away from them in chase the killer gets 1% haste, no cooldown.

Sure, except now it lets you know to actively start looking since you know the killer can see you. Additionally, if it's a stealth killer, you're gonna have fewer cues to start looking without Spine Chill.

It's obviously weaker now. It was always going to be because it always needed to be. But it still has a use.

    Oh we are.

It's still going to hard counter Ghosty and Myers.

The problem is that it's now useless against anyone else.

sounds more like a noob perk now. who doesnt look around while doing gens.

Is that a bad thing? It's a generic perk, it should be useful for new players instead of giving them very inconsistent information and a wildly strong chase effect they won't know how to use properly.

At least premonition will see more use I guess

  • I mainly used it for vault speed- helps counter the suspicious hits after a fast vault on these old decrepit servers tbh.

Just fyi cats don't have sixth sence and can know your coming towards them if they can't see you. Maybe you should recommend the perk Spider Sence if you want the old spine chill as that is what your referencing in your description.

  • I'm glad it got a rightful nerf but I feel like it's now just not worth bringing at all. I'd rather they just make it not work on undetectable killers.
