I had to melee because the survivors would just hold onto victor and I couldn't do anything...

Nah, it's fun and there should be more unique mechanics like this, actually.
Just rush gens and deny stalk if this is the case, most Tombstone and Judith's users can be looped for a long time because all they do is stalk.
And they are slow as hell.

Nurse has the lowest kill rate in the game...
And they still cry about her.

The topics about the nurse always come down to the same thing.
1) someone comes crying "The ugly nurse is too strong, you have to nerf her!"
2) someone (often me) responds "Ok, you say she's too strong, can you show us on video how you play against her?"
3)....The end.
Alternative:
4) someone comes up and says that some streamers think she is OP.
Except that well, just because X or Y says she's OP doesn't mean she is.

I confirm!
About a week ago, I was in part, I had just hit a survivor, I start loading my tp to go back on it, and then another survivor lit up my back.
Not the face, not even from the side, the back.
After 1s or 2, my tp was stopped, and I went into fatigue 🤣
So yes, people, think about the light, nurses fear it very much 😜
I see clickers all the time but they rather click at me than actually use their flashlight to be effective vs a nurse.
Guess they rather try to piss people off instead of winning and then making a forum post.

She wouldn't be called the snake it would be "The Gorgon".

Because the addons are flavour.
Have survivors run out of things to cry about?

The new one looks...off. I don't know what about it feels off, maybe it's because the body is just the fog and a few hands crawling out with a lazy looking appearing and dissappearing animation, but I don't like it.
The left arm however looks amazing. Dredge is (imo) unplayable without Shadowborn. It's too big and covers too much if the screen (especially the doll one), but this one looks good (in the Shop, I still haven't bought it because of the body)
It's designed to be in the game inside a map when it's in the shop all of the fog isn't hidden so it doesn't look as good.
When you see the skin in game it looks completely different.

Always the same survivor mains complaining about Nurse whilst I get the good survivor mains in-game who know how to fight a Nurse and know areas on maps where the blink bugs out and forces a short 0.5-meter blink whilst they run around the obstacle knowing I can't blink through it.
I don't see them crying after a game, props to them for being good survivors and not forum criers.
You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.

You could try playing a killer with a funny build that’s enjoyable.
Ive been playing Smolface which is a ghost face that can’t ever stand up unless you attack, perform action etc.
Most fun I’ve had in DBD.
This is entertaining, if I lose with this build I know it’s not my fault but I can have fun confusing the survivors.

Don’t forget how they program some perks that are stronger at lower ranks than they are at their highest.
(Make your choice I’m looking at you.)

Technically all stealth killers are rather good at injuring people I think.
Yeah but they don’t get enough time to injure people enough to make it effective.
-
From my experience as killer and survivor there’s usually around four hooks done when there’s three gens left so either four hooks spread across survivors or one survivor is tunnelled out of the game.
Before the update you could lose three gens well before you’ve managed two hooks.
Gen speed is still fast as hell but survivors are going down quicker because they don’t have dead hard to save every mistake.
-
It’s better on killers who can injure people more rapidly I do it on my trapper build which has the bloody coil addon so every time they disarm a trap it injures them so lots of passive cool-down without even attacking.

If honing stone was basekit, survivors would have no reason to free themselves.
The interesting cunundrum with Honing Stone is that it takes longer to recover a dying survivor than free them from a trap. So the only survivor who would want to free themself would be one running a slug build.
I like the idea at first read, but the more I think about it, I'm afraid of how oppressive it would be.
A survivor who gets caught in a trap while running to unhook is effectively to blame for losing the game. If it is a 3v1, trapper just wins. If it is a 4v1, survivors immediately lose all of their map pressure.
Try going against a SWF squad without them, he literally can't do a thing if they disarm traps across the map you have to manually reset them whilst they slam gens on the side you just left whilst one trap every 30 second resets.
Then if they escape the traps they can just run to the boon on the other side.

I went against one yesterday who was constantly in their power, this would explain it.
he gains a quarter of his power when he gets a hit and doesn’t need blood to gain it.
if survivors keep body blocking he can keep chaining his ability.
-
Because it’s easier to complain about a killer than to actually git gud.
-
Honing Stone needs to become base kit (downs survivors if no one helps them escape) and also the addon which resets traps every thirty seconds.
With them addons as base kit he will be competitive.
-
If you haven’t escaped through the gate or the hatch you haven’t won or survived it’s a loss and you died.
You still lost even if you bled out.

I don't know why people care about streamers opinions on this stuff. Chances are he's in the top what, 1% 3%? Do you think his experience in any way represents much of the community? That's like when politicians worth 100 million usd talk about their economic woes.
Pretty much and then people take it as gospel.
-
Wish people would stop referencing that guy, people need their own brains.
-
Imagine how good survivors would get if they had a training room vs a bot killer and could literally spam against Nurse 24/7, they wouldn't have an issue with her.
-
Are people still ignoring the fact that he lowers his MMR to go against potatoes in order to keep his win rate?
The guy does AFK wraith, I've seen him.

@Tactrix said:
There's only 1 perk you need to master to completely defeat stealth. Whispers. You're welcome.
That's why it was meta years ago.
-
Stealth has always been king, it's been that way from the beginning.
Especially on a coordinated SWF as they can avoid confrontation with the killer for at least 50% of the game.
-
Unfortunately moving the game to consoles ruined all of this, they can't handle fog/light effects so they had to remove it all.
If it was a PC exclusive I think it would all still be here + the new map reworks but with the old aesthetic as before.
-
This is the streamer that has said he lowers his MMR before he plays with AFK wraith.
-
Hopefully not.
-
Stealth has always been the meta since the beginning of the game where a Billy could zoom across the map and mori you instantly without a single hook.
It's annoying but I think it's a great tactic than the typical in your face survivors clicking, etc.

You play Nurse with range, you have no room to talk.
Nurse requires you to guess where the survivors are, spirit can just injure and stridor and you can't escape because iron will does nothing now.
Literally the definition of easy and you can then just tunnel someone down because they can't mind game because of the grunts?

Imagine playing Nurse with range add-ons and calling Spirit boring.
More fun than a killer that goes invisible you can't mind game.
Nurse you can mind game because she can't go invisible.
-
oh, yawn one of the most boring killers in the game is back.
Just equip Stridor and you literally can't do anything to avoid her.
Think I'll start spamming my game/macmillians offerings.

I always wondered why repairing a gen didn't require you to search for components across the map and then actually have to fit them in the gen accordingly, connect wires etc. instead of staring at a progression bar and hitting skill-checks from time to time.
Add the snake game from the indestructible Nokia 😂
That's how it worked in Friday 13th, gather parts and then someone with guts had to try and install them whilst stopping Jason.

I've come to the conclusion over the years that map tweaking/reworks will always be a project they got going on in the background and will never be perfect.
Best we can hope for is improvement over time - and too their credit they get it mostly right.
When it comes to maps, we have to keep in mind that maps themselves have to keep both low skill and high skill players in mind. Which means every map does need a few easier loops for the low-skill survivors to have a fighting chance on.
Not unless they decide to start creating map configurations based on MMR rating.... and I don't see that going over well with the playerbase.
They can't add map configs for different MMR because that way players would know 100% what their MMR is.
Like if low MMR had tonnes of pallets and high MMR had none you'd know instantly.
And the devs don't really wanna give the MMR rating away.

Huh I didn't know that...then why don't they just do that if they are worried about snipers
It kinda ruins the interaction if you've got people typing because of the delay.

I have never in my life seen that. Not saying you're lying, but claiming that is anything that makes "streamers" as in the plural form of streamer accurate and not something certain individuals might do is kinda weird.
Only times I see streamers block their screen is in the lobby and they also try to block out names a lot of the time, which is nice all around. Both helps a little against streamsniping and makes sure no absolute gremlin watching the stream decides it's a heckin epic idea to harass someone that did something "bad" in the match.
I would send a link to a VOD I saw from when I mori'ed someone but they have mental issues so I don't want hate to go to their channel.

Just remember this, Pvp, not a cutscene. That's all you need to know.
And in PVP stuff gets balanced IE so maps don't favour one side more.
Killer AND survivor.
-
Even as a double blink nurse this is a terrible map, the picture doesn't do the distance to the exit gates any justice (they were both in opposite corners of the map but this was the only angle I could get both of them in it with the FOV) it would take at least 40 seconds to walk there as an M1 killer and probably 20 blinks if I wasn't using any range addons.
And people think the map design is okay, take note there was also two boons on this map so I couldn't even contest the last two gens because if I injured someone they just ran straight to the boon while the other survivor did the last gen.
Maps of this size need to be at least halved for M1 and non-teleporting killers to even stand a chance.
They'd literally have zero map pressure.
-
Killers have realised the gens are still just as fast as before and survivors are realising it as well so there's no reason not to run slowdown.
I know I haven't stopped using them else 3 gens pop super fast still and I tried to not use slowdowns on patch day and got gen rushed when I didn't.

I'm gonna actually throw my hat in the ring against the Doctor. Dr. Carter has a rich history of going rogue and generally acting in an insubordinate manner on a nonstop ego trip. His headgear is more-than-likely affixed to him as a punishment from the Entity for some past malfeasance. He may be giggly, but I think at this point he's barely aware of himself anymore.
Ghost Face seems to rank highly among the killers who are more in control of their faculties and actively enthusiastic about participating in the trials. For many killers, the Fog is just as much hell as it is for the survivors - killers like Ghost Face are more the exception to the rule, and I'm sure those sick thrills make for good eatin' by the Entity.
Pinhead and Myers are definitely aware of what is going on, for Myers it's endless killing to sate his need and Pinhead somehow arrived here willingly and I assume can leave when he wishes.

I take it you're not that good at nurse if you think she needs add-ons. -shrug-
She does need addons if you play a map which is big and has multi floors, your knowledge clearly isn't that big.

I watch a number of streamers who play DBD and never seen this myself. How many are you seeing do this?
Just a few, I went to watch back a VOD just to see how the game went from their POV to see if my blinks were accurate guesses and I mori'ed someone and they pulled it up before I hooked them.
-
If I'm losing as a weak killer like Nemesis I'll just tunnel someone out of the game and call it quits, gates will be open at that point.
If I'm Nurse I just chill and go after different people.
-
The killer ones are very lacklustre.
I think the only skin they did well was Ace as Kenny.
-
As a Mikaela enjoyer I’m happy she gets another set.
Not happy that she looks like the grinch now though.
-
It is still survivor sided unless you play a strong killer which isn't screwed over by survivors holding W and pre-dropping pallets at every pallet they run to aka Nurse which is why they want her nerfed so badly.
Every time I play crappy weak killers the survivors just pre-drop and you still can't catch them with bloodlust because it takes too long to kick in and in that time they can just leave the loop and go to another pallet.
Couldn't do anything as Sadako on coal tower due to this.
-
If survivors don't want to learn to play they don't have to.
Just need to start increasing the DC penalty.
