Dead hard couldn't be faked if the survivor knew how to play and where each pallet/vault was.
DS wasn't fine because someone could get hooked in the end game and then b-line straight to the open gate and even if you weren't tunnelling there's nothing you could do with it.
I've escaped 5/10 games as a solo survivor I think that's balanced.
-
I'm a killer main and honestly, I think it's fine, most of the places survivors get downed there's a hook available it's only around the left side where it becomes an issue.
Give them a map where they can actually sabo.
-
I noticed only a few of my killers have his perks and some don't have it at all.
Wanted to try a surge doctor/trapper and they don't have it whereas my Nurse has it. :(
-
I tunneled someone out of the game with Trapper, nerf trapper.

Behavior will adjust its ... behavior. If I'm cautious and play proper hide and seek, things are fine except against the usual busted killers. When I try to showboat and be obnoxious, I get hammered.
I get it, it was fun to bully killers. It was fun to do outlandish dumb things. Now you kinda have to respect them for a change.
What are the criteria for being good? I used to see awful survivors bullying killers and when they finally messed up they had dead hard to fall back onto to get another pallet.
Now it's like they can't do that anymore.
-
Because it's BHVR.
-
But if you down someone on the other side of the map with honing stone they'll be picked up and healed before you even get over there.
-
Why would you listen to him of all people anyway
-
Pretty much, they had a once-in-a-lifetime chance and they blew it on the killer skins, if A-Titan had no weapon on his back he would have been bought instantly and WH-Titan was ruined by them keeping spirits skeleton instead of changing it.
Seems like they rushed the killer skins at the last moment and focused on the survivorskins.
-
I'm enjoying the forever legion build, started doing it.

-
I got tunnelled out of a game in the solo queue for using off the record and lucky break, killer literally said it in the end game.
-
Heh Zarina Hange set is wrong compared to anime/manga.
-
Such an original thread.
-
The Titan skins look awful, Armoured Titan uses a basic weapon on his back in this skin and the War Hammer titans skin looks too much like Spirit.
Why couldn't they get some better sounds for them which actually sounds like the anime?
Feels a bit rushed, also why Armin for Felix instead of Erwin Smith?
Only Ace as Kenny and Yui as Mikasa look remotely good.
-
Killer should take number 1 priority in this situation, if a survivor is healing it should cancel the heal and pick up the survivor or at the least force a grab.
-
It's not fun losing 3 gens in one chase on a huge map as a weak killer too if they have resilience, dead hard, if that happens I'll happily camp to force some survivor - killer interaction.
-
Because the perk was designed for new players in mind and not competitive-minded players who want every advantage in one perk as possible.
Literally gave a warning killer is coming, faster actions, etc.
-
They can't do it on the new engine as it will mess with the already potato performance of consoles.
-
If you haven't done anything wrong to annoy the killer why get mad? Just go next game.
Playing killer is super stressful.

The bigger issue is the fact that it's being compounded with base generator increases.
Whilst all killer gen regression perks got nerfed? Seems fair to me.

I thought I've gone crazy! I have that issue also
Glad to know because I used to be able to pin point it super easy and now if I'm scanning around fast I can't hear it anymore unless I move slowly and don't look around as much with my mouse.
I can hear it from a mile away as survivor still which is why I made the post.
-
I'd rather they bring back exclusives for playing the game, Huntress has an old mask which only old players could get from doing a certain amount of hooks and now they gave it to everyone.

@Remedicist said:
Could be a headset thing. I tend to hear the sound and direction of the hatch before survivors that are near me do.
It's not a headset thing I've done it with air pods pro and also a gaming head set, if I'm not looking in it's direction I cant hear it.
Like an heat-seeking missiles seeker trying to find a heat source when it's outside of it's FOV it can't "see" it.
-
And another thing I've noticed as the killer the hatch sound only appears to sound when I'm looking in it's direction and not surround sound anymore.
-
They heal in less than 20 seconds for sure now.

The notion that the game isn’t balanced around comms is a myth. The devs intended swfs to be part of the game from the beginning and they often use comms themselves when they play. Comms are even a built in feature on consoles. Playing on comms isn’t “cheating” or abusive like some people claim, it’s something the devs are totally fine with. There are balance issues in the game where solo survivors are at a disadvantage compared to survivors on comms, but that’s an indication solo survivors need buffs, not that swfs need nerfs.
No, it wasn't balanced around SWF, it was designed for solo players.
SWF wasn't originally in the game you had to keep entering the queue at the same time to try and find your friends.
SWF definitely needs a nerf because what's the point of 30% of the survivor perks then that is to give information which SWF gives instantly.
Or the nerfing of specific killer perks or killers which SWF negates.
-
And then resilience, no mither, overzealous and prove thyself as well and you reach some ridiculous generator speeds, especially if you cleanse a hex totem and get the 16% extra speed.
-
Games would finish too fast before the killer even had enough tokens in this system.
That's why survivors must die.
-
Because he's a classic example of DBD devs pandering to survivor mains on Twitter.
He's worthless as a killer, the chainsaw is only useful to travel across the map once until it overheats then he's just an M1 killer again.
Bubba does basically exactly what Hillbilly used to do but 100% better except the mobility.
-
It’s better to just brute force pallet drops now.
-
Lmao okay Mr private profile, keep writing that you're a nurse main all you want, no she doesn't.
If a survivor knows what they are doing they can force nurse to get stuck at windows with her auto aim, same with pallets.
-
@Pulsar said:
What is the point of this post.
Either you're able to see both sides clearly and you understand that Nurse no longer fits in the game with her current power level or you believe that ignoring basic game mechanics is just a skill issue.
Doesn't ignore mechanics at all.
-
@Onyx said:
Nah, it's not just about maps. If you fix maps Nurse would still be broken just because she ignores everything.
No she doesn't.
Wish survivors would stop using this excuse now.

Take your own advice. And think about it before next time pls.
If the maps were designed better killers wouldn't feel the need to tunnel and camp.
Midwich is a nicely sized map and it flows and there isn't really a need to camp.
-
@Tiufal said:
Who cares for maps as long as something like camping and tunnel is an issue? Gameflaws need to be adressed first, everything else comes afterwards.
Good job you read the thread, oh wait.
-
Pretty much, if you play Hag she's only good on Midwich.
9/10 maps are awful.
-
@Dwight_Fairfield said:
Imagine trying to get out of the basement safely in 5 seconds, especially if the killer blocks the stairs and slows you down.
That's the entire point of the basement, if you end up there you are meant to have little hope of escaping.
-
Solo survivors should be allowed to use map offerings as that's all I play but anything involving a group shouldn't.
-
@DyingWish92 said:
I think map offerings should go to but I have a conflict with it, it would destroy Scatch Mirror Myers. That addon will never get used again, you need an indoor map.
Killers should be the only ones.
-
lmao, now the game decides to take me to meat factory as Hag, without an offering.
This is why killers should be able to keep offerings.

Thats why you put one on the stairs.... So they can't use the the top ones...
Top ones aren't the issue it's the bottom floor one which has two pallets around it

Uh, not nearly lol, only problem is the god awful windows in the house. That hag should be able to counter more then most killers.
Not really, her traps are just a lightshow they don't hurt survivors.
They've already vaulted by the time you can teleport to it and she's too slow.
-
@Mazoobi said:
Map offerings should just go entirely.
No sometimes they break up the monotony, getting huge maps constantly in a row isn't fun so sometimes you can force a map change.
SWF however don't need that.
Edit: Tried to play Hag, survivors popped Dredges map now... fun.
AFK corner time this place has almost the same pallet count as meat factory.
-
It was added because years ago survivors would complain that Billy could zoom across the map and create pressure so they added the overheat so he couldn't do that anymore.

This. DbD is not all about trying to win or be better than others.
I must have forgotten that when you get survivors tea bagging at open exit gates then.

Can't agree there. Blight is super easy, straight forward, and brute force. Once you learn how to use his power at certain tiles and to zone
That's not including all of his techs.
That stuff is straight forward.
-
The number of times I get killed on the first hook because some console player is playing immersion simulator and walking around looking at the maps objects.
The quality of matchmaking definitely went down when they added crossplay a few years ago.
I had a game earlier with 3 console players on Lerys against a not so good blight, got his first hook at 3 gens, second at four gens and then snowballed from there, 2 console players got downed next to each other (god knows how that happens) and then I got downed trying to open the gate and the last console survivor then runs up to me on the ground, starts self-caring herself then gets downed on top of me and then we all die.
Thanks.
-
ofc mr survivor main says that, wheres your proof? lets see some games of you playing her.

Everyone needs a break from DBD once in a while, so dont worry. Otherwise, just try to improve your skills. If you feel you opponents are too strong, just use them as training.

I guess u mean "Shelter Woods", it is actually a "MacMillian Estate" map. And yes, RNG on this map can be very killer sided.
No the small red forest that has one main building and like three pallets surrounding it.
It's "plagues" map.
