  • Played a match against a camping, tunneling Bubba today. Hadn't seen one in awhile so I forgot just how horrible an experience that it can be. But sure enough after hooking me, he just stood there revving his unlimited chainsaw. Please BHVR, the sooner you can bring the changes the better!

  • I know it's over, but I loved those loading screens so much more than the traditional ones. I wish they could have stuck around!

  • Played with the Plague for the first time today, and I had two back-to-back matches where I did better as an m1 killer than using her spit. Her spit doesn't hit nearly as easy as you think it will. I know it's going to take more time to get better with her, but it's so hard to learn the ins-and-outs of a killer without a practice/single player mode.

  • When you read a title like that, you immediately jump to "inner strength, duh!". But in all honesty when you break everything down, is it really that much better? Self-care obviously takes longer, but when you factor in the amount of time it takes to get inner strength up and running - finding a totem, breaking it, finding a locker - it's almost preferable to just run self-care. And to add insul

  • I want a good mobility perk, and all three of these have a lot of potential. Fixated is faster than Urban Evasion, however if you're injured it's rendered useless. And with Sprint Burst being an exhaustion perk, it's pointless running anything else like Lithe or DH. So if you could only have one mobility perk, is it better to walk faster, crouch faster, or just flat-out use Sprint burst in a crut

  • I thought it was on the 14th when the anniversary event ended. I've been holding off on playing Bubba because I'm looking forward to his new mechanics.

  • Every time I try to use Devour Hope, it gets destroyed before I can even get three tokens! To be fair a lot of it has to do with placement of the totems. The last match that I played had the hex totem sitting out in the middle of the map in full view for everyone to see. πŸ˜• I know hex totems are high-risk, high-reward, but I think I'm about ready to give up on using hexes all together. They're to

  • Having a generator that regresses at 200% of the normal regression speed is a nice alternative to having to constantly kick generators. The downside is when the hex destroyed within the first few minutes of a match. It's very much high-risk, high-reward. Which do you prefer?

  • Do these perks stack with cakes? I noticed that unlike the cakes and party streamers, BBQ and WGLF doesn't mention that it stacks. Do having these perks equipped make a difference if you're in a match with multiple cakes?

  • "Grants the ability to fully recover from the dying state" Does this do exactly as it sounds? Because I'm thinking this is rather misleading.

  • ... and God knows I'm tired of saying it, but the developers need to seriously focus on getting the new MMR out the door and put any sort of new characters or reworks on the back burner. When you look at the ranks, I don't think it's hard to see why these players disconnected. Me, nor that rank 2 should ever have been matched with these newer players.

  • The extra FOV can help when survivors try to juke you, but it's weird how it feels like you're moving faster than you really are! πŸ˜„ Does anyone use the perk as part of their regular build? Do you find it worthwhile?

  • So tonight I played a match where pyramid head's rights of judgement speed was glitched into his normal movement speed. This meant that every single survivor was able to easily outrun me. Right before it happened I noticed that he was dragging his sword into the ground even though I wasn't pressing the button. I pressed the button again to turn it off, but the speed remained glitched. To add ins

  • I was getting ready to hop into my first ever match with Pyramid Head, and me and all survivors were bringing in a cake. Needless to say I was really excited, but then one of the survivors backed out as it was loading up so it never happened. But to add insult to injury I lost my cake! What the hell BHVR?!

  • I find it cool that you can give props to a player that you played a good match with, which I think is great, but how does that work exactly? Are you supposed to get a notification if someone gave you props, or is that information all retained with BHVR? Do you get a bloodpoint bonus for getting props from another player? I just find it odd that if there's no way to tell if you've ever received p

  • All right all I need some advice. I just purchased the Silent Hill chapter, and I started leveling up Pyramid Head. I would love nothing more than to tinker around with him without having to compete in an online match, but since there's no way to do that by yourself can anyone recommend a good perk combo for him? Would monitor and abuse, discordance, BBQ, and PGTW be effective?

  • Last night for a few hours me and a friend played some survivor matches. I'm a rank 4 and he's a rank 7. But for the duration of the 3 hours of DBD that we played, we didn't come across a single killer below the rank of 12. Most every killer was between the ranks of 15 through 17, and I could not have felt worse for these killers going up against survivors that weren't even in the double digits.

  • Once you start hearing the lullaby and not the heartbeat, is monitor and abuse even worth having on Freddy?

  • Both are very good perks for obvious reasons, but if you had no map pressure, which one would you go with?

  • Sometimes all I want to do is test out certain perks or killers and I'd love to be able to do that without having to compete. Custom matches are a great way to do that, but it's only possible if there are other players online and in your party. I typically don't play online only games so it would be nice to have an option for bots since I don't have a long list of friends from which to pull from.

  • I really want to play killer but I was hoping the new MMR would be up and running since the devs said last month that it should be up and running in June, but alas that doesn't look to be the case. I'm a casual player when it comes to DBD, but every time I boot up a match my level 12 killer gets matched constantly with purple and red rank survivors. And even worse if it's a swf team then I get co

  • I took a little break from DBD in the hopes that the new MMR would be up and running when I next logged in, but alas it looks like that may never happen. LOL But I keep seeing posts about the birthday cakes not working as intended. I unlocked one in my blood web but should I hang on to it? I would certainly hate to use it if I can't get the full effect.

  • Personally I would love to have bots as an option for custom games in dead by daylight. It would be a great way to test out a killer you've never used, or perks that you've never tried. Bloodpoints will continue to be obtained through public matches only. But if you just want to have fun and test things out without the need for other people to be online, then being able to load up a custom game

  • BHVR stated that the new matchmaking system would go into effect in June. Some speculated it would happen during the rank reset, while others speculated it might happen with the 4.0 release. Neither of which proved to be true. Is it possible that it went into effect with the new event? Because quite frankly as a level 13 killer I'm tired a being matched with purple and red rank survivors that are

  • I've been trying to get PGTW unlocked for Freddy, but since I have a lot of teachables unlocked I still haven't come across the perk, even at level 48. But I do have Nemesis and PWYF unlocked, and I was wondering is that a good combo for Freddy? Such a combo is great for Bubba and Meyers, but can it work for any killer, or am I sacrificing too many slots? I know Ghostface and the Pig's perks can

  • While I do agree that straight up face camping is ridiculous, hearing survivors complain about such things like tunneling, proximity camping, Moris, etc, drives me nuts. SWF acts like a passive fifth perk forcing Killers to do whatever they can to counter survivors constantly being fed information, even after their teammates have died. And hearing people complain because you weren't a nice kill

  • I'm definitely what you would call a casual player. I don't have a lot of time to play games, but it's how I like to relax at the end of the day. I usually avoid multiplayer only games because of the toxicity. And while that is certainly present in dead by daylight, there's still a lot of really good players out there that aren't jerks. That being said I love to play killer because it can be so

  • Pyramid Head's ground attack happens far too fast. There needs to be more of a build up, like what's there with the Doctor's static blast. Because right now throwing a pallet down is almost a guaranteed hit for Pyramid Head based on how fast he can unleash that attack.

  • I play DBD on PS4, and last night every single Pyramid Head we faced seemed like he was wearing jet powered shoes because he managed to catch up to us almost immediately in every single chase. Most of the Pyramid Heads too also only had level one perks exclusive to the character, so there was nothing like PWYF involved. Am I missing something here? Did anyone else notice this? It seemed like he

  • So today I'm playing a match with Freddy and doing really well (on my way to a 4K), and the next thing I know I enter a loading screen and it says I've been disconnected from The Host. Is this some kind of bug or just a glitch with the servers? Because regardless of what it is, it would be nice if the game rewarded me with a lot of blood points to make up for this frustration. *Edit* I'm playi

  • I play DBD on PS4 and I want to know your honest opinion on playing the Oni with a controller. Regardless the platform he's labeled as a hard killer to master, so just how difficult is it to pull off a dash attack with a controller? Personally I want his nemesis teachable but is he still a viable killer to play on console?

  • ... is it possible the new matchmaking system has been put into effect? Since everything is happening behind the scenes I can't see there being a downloadable patch for it. Besides it would be weird for them to reset the ranks today only for everything to reset again sometime this month for the new matchmaking system. I love this game, but being a level 13 killer makes this game incredibly hard

  • For me it's sloppy butcher and bloodhound. You can hide scratch marks all you like, but there's no hiding that blood! And sloppy butcher ensures that there's a nice long bright trail leading the killer to your hiding spot!

  • Being a new player I'm trying to farm as many blood points as possible, but lately barbecue and chili has been pretty ineffective since I find myself getting matched with more and more red rank survivors. Is it a bit easier to get bloodpoints with WGLF, or should I just stick it out with BBQ and count my lucky stars if I can get more than 1 hook with these red rank swf?

  • I've been playing this game for a couple of months now and I've managed to work my way to level 13 killer (not bad considering I only have a few hours a day to play this game😊). But it's gotten to the point to where I keep facing red rank swf and...it's not fun anymore. Nothing worse than approaching the exit door and seeing all four survivors lined up in a row teabagging you as they walk out (tr

  • This is the scoreboard of Ohmwrecker's latest upload of the public test build that bhvr is currently running right now for the new survivor and killer. I know matchmaking is bad, but unless matchmaking doesn't exist in these public tests, then it must suck to be on these test servers.😧 *Edit* He was playing on his own too

  • I'm sitting on a million bloodpoints and I would really like to level up Freddy because I think he's fun to play. That being said, I really want the perk nurses calling but I don't like playing as the nurse. I know nurses calling is a great perk for any killer to have, so is it worth dumping all these blood points to get that teachable perk, or should I just focus on Freddy? I don't have a whole

  • Regardless if it's a SWF group or not, this is just unacceptable. Yes the rank 16 may be closer to my level, but once the matchmaking system detected that the other three survivors weren't, it should have saw to it that I did not get matched against them. The moment I became a rank 13 killer, all I've gotten is matched up against red rank survivors. This

  • I generally avoid multiplayer only games because of the toxicity that can be present online. However I had a group of friends that recommended dead by daylight and I got to admit that it's a lot of fun! However being a new killer I face a lot of apprehension going into every match because the odds of me facing very experienced players is very high considering the game doesn't match people based o

  • I've been playing this game for a few months now, and so far I've only been able to unlock teachable perks with Leatherface and The Wraith. I heard that the doctor is a great killer from which to farm bloodpoints from, so I would like to use him as a means to unlock more teachable perks. I do have barbecue and chili unlocked, and I heard that having distressing, whispers, and overcharge are good

  • Ok, I have had my fill of camping Ghostface killers. Now I've never played as Ghostface before, so am I missing something? Is this killer that big of a pain to play as? I know we've all experienced facecamping to some degree, but it seems to happen with Ghostface more than any other killer. Is there a reason why?

  • It's hard enough being a new player, but explain to me the reasoning behind this kind of a matchmaking setup. I consider myself okay as a level 15 killer using a level 10 Freddy, but the game must think I'm a pro since it decided to pit me against survivors that weren't even double digits and had max perks with ultra-rare add-ons. Almost every killer match is like this for me. No wonder a maj

  • The other night I played five straight survivor matches where the killer never left our side (and when you're having to wait 10 minutes inbetween matches that can be aggravating to say the least). In my opinion that's almost as bad as disconnecting. Some killers like Leatherface can see to it that multiple survivors can be downed at once which ruins a team's ability to save you should more than o
