It's been awhile since I've played DBD, and I figured it would be fun hopping into chaos shuffle. It's my first time playing this event, and while I like the idea of it, I've just been getting my ass handed to me over and over. While I'm not best at the game, I'm no beginner either, but for over an hour I've just been losing match after match. Granted I don't know how to play with half of the pe3 comments 91 views last activity

My god is DBD a hot mess right now. I haven't played the game for months, but now that I'm looking to pick it back up again, I'm hearing about all of these game breaking bugs. Animation bugs are one thing, but the fact that generators are completing themselves for every survivor that dies should someone leave the match is ridiculous. I can only imagine how incredibly frustrating it must be to p0 comments 31 views last activity

Vecna can choose between four different powers that each bring with it four complete separate abilities. These abilities can see him traversing the map quickly, anti-loop to completely block pallets, attack over long distances, and last but not least activate an ability that highlights where survivors are. If you were to compare this to any other killer in DBD, especially any M1 killer, the las4 comments 252 views last activity

Michael Myers is the oldest licensed killer in the game without receiving any significant changes to his power, and people have complained for years over just how weak it is to play Freddy. The fact that neither of these killers will be touched in the upcoming patch is really disappointing. It's funny, but I never thought that I would be complaining about bots! LOL I just purchased Chucky and I've been trying to practice with him, but it's proving to be really difficult because the bots always know where I'm at whenever hidey-ho mode is activated. I was playing on the red forest and I had hidey-ho mode turned on. Thanks to his perk friends till the end, I was able to see the bot/o8 comments 281 views last activity

Imagine if the Alien was the first ever killer that doesn't have a terror radius, and instead of a heartbeat survivors pick up motion trackers to keep a bead on where the Alien is at? To counter this the Alien would have to be faster than any other killer, but I would love to see the devs testing radical ideas like this. If we can't get new game modes, then let's get killers and survivors that s26 comments 541 views last activity

Seriously, I don't know what it is with survivors as of late, but solo queue has been absolutely miserable. Survivors are either killing themselves on the first hook, or disconnecting. If switching to killer and farming is the only way to guarantee that I don't waste a blood point add-on, then I'll do it. You want to farm? You want me to play in a fun way? Let's go. I'll do it, because survivor h4 comments 191 views last activity

After the recent event that saw powers being able to be used by both survivors and killers, not to mention fun perks coming with survivors like Nicholas Cage, it has definitely incentivized me to go against the grain and focus on fun instead of sweat. When a survivor gets sacrificed to the entity, the hook disappears unless it's a basement hook, and sadly this sometimes creates dead zones in the map that can prevent killers from being able to hook a survivor should they not have a perk to help aid in that situation. Without hooks a killer cannot complete their objective. While this isn't prevalent in every match, it still proves to happen far21 comments 441 views last activity

Is it at all possible to get a legitimate PvE mode with the bots? It could come with blood points and XP, but to incentivize players to play PvP, PvE would only come with half of the blood points and XP. I know that it wouldn't be the new mode that most would probably be hoping for, but it technically would be a new mode, and give us another way to tackle the rift.3 comments 102 views last activity

I know it's so much easier to earn masks playing killer, but it shouldn't be. It should be just as easy to earn with survivor as it is with killer. First three matches of the night have been absolutely abysmal. First match I get downed by Trapper at the meat plant and put in the basement. He then puts traps by both entrances to the basement and camps. I leave the match with less than 2,000 bloo8 comments 222 views last activity

Every time I get enticed into playing DBD again, the supposed "SBMM" always does a good job at reminding me just how poor of a job it does matchmaking gamers together. Now it goes without saying that as the night goes on the sweat gets more intense, but after 10 matches in a row of dying on hook (and not getting a single pip) from a killer way outside my team's league (I'm playing solo, so that8 comments 201 views last activity

I want to be clear when I say that I love the fact that there are bots in the game. Being able to test killers in a stress-free environment is something that was long overdue. Having said that, the sixth sense that bots seem to have is kind of nuts. Apologies everyone if this has been talked about ad nauseam, but I stopped playing for quite a long stretch of time, and only recently picked the game back up again during the anniversary event. I went to play my first killer game in months, which was Freddy as I like the character (which BTW I'm excited to hear that he's getting reworked), and not only is every survivor running Made for this,10 comments 281 views last activity

Why is it that in every single event, survivors have to escape in order to achieve a cosmetic? There's nothing more frustrating than playing a good match only to be sacrificed at the end with nothing to show for it. I'm not exactly a stellar survivor, but no joke I've played 10 matches in a row and have only escaped once. So I'm curious, after 7 years why is it that hooks continue to disappear upon the death of a survivor? Without hooks killers can't do their objective, and without hooks it creates dead zones that allow survivors to escape over and over again. Killers have only a matter of seconds to get a survivor to a hook too, so you can't really tell them to be more strategic about what hook they use. Ser57 comments 1,322 views last activity

Hey guys, it's been a while since I've played the game. I've been watching videos of the new chapter, and needless to say I have some questions. Probably the biggest one has to do with the EMPs. How is it that in order to obtain any other item in the game: flashbangs, infection spray, health spray, etc, you have to put down the item you're currently carrying, but with EMPs you don't? I know the devs play their own game, it's ridiculous to think that they don't, but what kind of feedback do they rely on to make changes within the game? This PTB has so many questionable changes that it literally makes no sense. After this upcoming update, killers will have all but lost any substantial generator defense perks. COB, Overcharge, and PR have now all received major nerfs. Having a nerf to med kits is nice when it comes to chases, but four generators can still be completed within less than 3 minutes should a coordinated team have the right perks and items. How does anyone play skull merchant with that abysmal 2 second loop of chase music? People rightfully gave the reworked chase music for Ghostface crap because it was grating to the ears. How could they not? After all it sounded like a washing machine, and yet the skull merchant is somehow even worse. Seriously, gameplay discussions aside I can't stand the music. I haven't been able to play a whole lot, and with only a few days left of the event I wanted to have some fun, chill matches. What a surprise that it was anything but. Just a thought, but with survivors getting borrowed time implemented within their base kit, and the reveal of notification icons coming soon, not to mention BHVR teasing unbreakable possibly getting the same treatment, would it be too much to ask for killers to get a form of corrupt intervention implemented at the start of a match? Wow. Just...wow. In the match I just played, the bots displayed just how useless Legion's power really is. The bots all separated so far from Legion that I could never get more than two hits in before the power ended. Now granted I was able to zone them out fairly well and get them down, but as far as getting five consecutive hits was concerned? Forget about it. I'm having a lot of fun with the bots. It allows me a chance to practice with killers I've never played with, not to mention it's a great way to blow off steam after having a rough match. The last time I played a killer that I had never played before - Ghostface - it was against a 4 man SWF that could clearly tell that I had never played him before (or really killer in general), and they all proceeded to take advantage of that. Say what you will about bots, but the crap you can encounter in this game sometimes makes me look forward to never having to play with people again. For the last two matches the strategic alliance challenge in the haunted by daylight tome needs for you to perform a cooperative action for 90 seconds. Over the last two matches I have finished four generators with another survivor, and it hasn't budged pass 70, which is where it was at when I started the first of the two matches. I am absolutely ecstatic that we are finally getting bots into DBD! It's sad that it's taken roughly 7 years to get it, but they are definitely a welcome sight to see! Currently I'm sitting on a handful of killers I've never played because I don't like to sweat when I practice, and sweating while practicing makes for an abysmal learning tool. This isn't a reflection on the event itself, I just know that for me personally I'm burnt out on the game. I'm tired of working on generators as a survivor (which I find boring), but I'm also tired of sweating sometimes just to earn a single kill as Killer. I enjoy the chase so I don't like having to rely on 4 slowdown perks, but if I don't then it seems as though the matches are over within minu39 comments 831 views last activity

First match of the day, all four survivors encountered a sweaty tryhard Wesker who made it his goal in getting everyone into the dying state. The match was so unbelievably boring that everyone left with barely 5,000 blood points because no one could get anything done, but never fear for that 100% incentive doubled that. ๐ Second match had two teammates going around destroying hooks because clear1 comments 121 views last activity

Not to say that every killer is playing super sweaty, but lately when I load up the game it always has blood point incentives for survivor. We're talking 100% blood point incentive. With that kind of incentive and BBQ being nerfed, I definitely don't want to be playing killer. But maybe I should because every single match is just tunnel after tunnel after tunnel. Ever since BBQ was gutted, it makes accruing blood points as killer a lot harder than it used to be. If you had a bad match, at least with old BBQ you could take comfort in knowing that the more hooks you've got, the more blood points you walked away with. But these days it's not uncommon to see survivors to get more blood points than the killer, especially if you go up against a well coordinated10 comments 161 views last activity

I missed logging in on August 11th, but August 12th was supposed to bring with it 50,000 blood points, but I didn't get anything. In the developer update it was revealed that they won't be coming back for a while, so why not revert BBQ and WGLF in the meantime? Or better yet, why not revert those perks anyway? These days I usually hold off on purchasing new killers. Simply put, I don't want to sweat my ass off when I'm simply practicing, which is why I can't wait for bots to finally be implemented. Because of this I usually wait until their perks are available for purchase in the store, however recently I purchased both Sadako and The Artist. Playing with BBQ/WGLF was almost a necessity for me because I love accruing a lot of blood points. Now that the perks have been nerfed, the game definitely feels like more of a grind without it. It can take two or three matches to achieve what you used to be able to do in just one. I love chase builds. It makes you feel like an unstoppable force, but it was nearly impossible to run prior to the update since all generators could be completed within minutes. BHVR, thank you for listening to the community. These upcoming changes from the ptb for the mid chapter is most welcome news. Honestly, I have no complaints. Tonight I played with a friend who had never played Dead by Daylight, and not having been a new player myself for some time, he raised an interesting point that I hadn't thought about before. Apologies as I know I've said this before, but I decided to give the Dredge another go, and in my second only match with him I secured just four hooks and 0 kills. While the increased blood points is nice, playing this game as a solo survivor or as a killer versus a SWF rocking the strongest survivor meta perks (and vice versa for killer), makes this game a real chore to play sometimes. The change to the meta has definitely made me more eager to play DBD, but knowing that it's still a month out is rough. Solo survivor has always been pretty rough. While I'm looking forward to all of the perk changes, there are some perks like Spine Chill that really helped benefit being on your own. Killer used to be a sweat fest, especially for me. There's nothing worse than tackling a killer you've never played before against a well experienced SWF.
