Of course it is, the vocal minority on these forums nowhere near represents the actual userbase, just because a few players post thinking they should do better on both sides does not mean that is how it is, all it is is your opinion hence its subjective, you see good killers who can 3/4k most matches on here saying how easy it is now and again, does that mean they are wrong?

no it usually means that they are either not playing at their correct skill level or are lying

when survivors are still the stronger side, they don't deserve buffs to already extremely powerful perks

Survivors being stronger is subective to the person playing killer/survivors.

BT was a decent perk but not great and highly situational, the fact that once unhooked the player could just be followed until they dropped made it only really strong when the exit gates were powered, nothing has changed as you still need to hit them and they are down, if near the gates you were screwed anyway, if far from the gates well you have longer to get them, any other time in game it was more of a slight time waster, its pretty much like the NOED change to all tiers, it happened as the perks main reason for being wasnt that great.

    no it isn't subjective lmao

yes actually, as long as i stand a chance against winning
if both sides are trying their best to win, both sides should have a fair chance at winning
sadly for DbD this is not the case

the graphs provided by the devs are irrelevant when survivors don't need to survive to "win"

    Facts are irrelevant?

    google the word "context"

I know what context means kid. I will stick to statistics, facts and truths. You stick to name calling and bias.

if you knew what it means then you'd understand the historical and mechanical reasons for why DbD's data is skewed, instead of ignoring the context, which thankfully the devs do not do, and they actually understand how the data works

the statistics on escapes vs deaths are irrelevant when you consider that you don't need to escape to win

Doesn't remove the fact that the main complaint from killers on this forum is how unbeatable and unkillable survivors are, when these statistics directly refute that, regardless of pipping or not pipping.

survivors are only unkillable when they are willing to be, most of the time they are not
that still doesn't change the fact that the room for abuse is still there

Yep, lets balance the game around the 1% of matches that have a 4Man Swat team on them.

Lets also balance the game around the 1% of killers that run noed and face camp.

Because that sounds FUN FOR EVERYONE.

that would be fun, i enjoy competitive games.

the most competitive this game gets is tournaments, and I'm sorry to break it to you but... The teams are 4Man com squads, good luck.

most online PvP video games balance around the top players, DbD is one of the extremely rare exceptions to this
you basically admitted that you don't want a balanced game

but we already knew that, didn't we?

"A balanced game" Survivor deaths are already more common than surviving, but I guess you want survival rate at 0%, that would suit you, eh?

No game plays like this, most games have a decent ranking system with progression that means something, this is a casual game, the sooner you realise that the sooner you'll move on to something else or start playing this game for fun.

This game has insta kills, insta downs, insta heals, it's a casual game, get used to it.

again, the statistics are meaningless when you don't need to survive to win

I am happy to update the table and the graph if anybody feels like I left something out.

This of course a quantitative representation, and not a qualitative one.

Some of the nerf\buff can ofc have more weight than others on both sides but I wanted just to represent objectively the number of interventions without any subjective "rating" to each one.

So we have the raw data of what happened.

There are still some trends and consideration we can make and questions we can ask, like:

    • Are killers usually too weak when they are first released? Given the amount of improvements needed - look how many time the wraith have been buffed in 2 years - it looks like something is wrong with that.

    • Was the game generically too unbalanced towards survs 2 years ago?

    • while the surv nerf\buff is "gently" leaning downward (currently around-15) the killer nerf\buff ratio looks like growing exponentially: what does that mean?

    • Is the surv playerbase getting better faster than the killer playerbase so a constant nerf to surv capabilities is and will always be needed?

    • In this framework, it appears like it will never be possible to touch some big issues like: hitbox, lag, vacuums and so; since those are generically killer advantages they would heavily impact the game with the inevitable following need for many more survivors nerfs to balance back.

what you need to do is
1 remove the bias from your data
    2 make the graph relative
survivors are still stronger than killers, so you need to put the survivor line well above the killer line on the graph
3 every single post you make on both here and the steam forums is pure whining

Getting a hatch and getting all 3 out is rare since the killer once they see it tends to camp it's area or watch for others gathering. What makes no sense is that if no one has the key what are you complaining about since no ones getting to use it unless they're the last one left.

A killer camping a closed hatch? nice joke bro

You do realize killers do that or are you just trolling as usual, oh and read what the op said., you know where they complain about 3 ppl getting the hatch. Well now you can't because they edited it out after being called on it.

In 4.5k hours i have NEVER seen a killer camp a closed hatch.
Do you actually believe the crap you're spewing?

I've seen it in 3 instances and of course I expected nothing else from the 2 of you although you can be forgiven for not seeing the ops post where he basically admitted to doing so. The other person did in fact see the original post yet wants to keep trolling, you just joined in unknowingly.

So perhaps the only crap that's being spewed here would be the 1 person deliberately trolling and the person following int their footsteps.

So I keep hearing "rumors" about a penalty being imposed now on killers camping. I have heard that they lose a certain percentage or number of bloodpoints if they are within a certain range of the hook while a survivor is hooked. However, I have found nothing (yet) to confirm this. Anyone have anything on this or is it just survivors spouting?

    this isn't true
its emblem points which nobody except new players care about anyway
it actually rewards camping because you can derank easier

Thanks. I figured as much. I was in lobby and people kept telling the killer "you camped you lost points for that" im like ummm I have found nothing to confirm or deny this yet and I have google searched up the gazooo and all I found was "suggestions for it"

scales are still tipped in the survivors favor my guy
its just that the emblem system means that rank 1 is flooded with terrible players

it seems like they figured out it wasn't a good thing

the devs say they're gonna do a lot of things, but never do them

free kindred would also probably be something you wouldn't want either, because it would come with significant killer buffs and would most likely end up being a net loss for survivors in terms of power.

Could you explain? Also most of the things the devs haven't done are because of the normie stuff like they're too busy or whatever. Kindred is already IN the game, they would just have to make it a base component on survivors.

And? Hiding the killers perks and add-ons would be a pretty quick fix but they haven't done it for years.
Not to mention giving survivors base kindred would need A LOT of extra balancing.

You have a good point with that one, but I dont see the need for extra balancing. It's like if every survivor ran Kindred in a match already. It gives an advantage to random survivors so SWF aren't 'op'.

You're blind if you don't see how much extra power a free perk would give to the already stronger role. Additionally giving survivors kindred makes SWF AND solos both significantly stronger, you can't hurt SWF by buffing survivors, thats absurd reasoning.
If survivors want free kindred you're going to have to learn to stomach it with significant survivor nerfs across the board.
