  • it's really funny when people try and defend them by saying stuff like "oh you need to do this and that and jump through these hoops and you can eventually down someone so he's good!" when you can just pick billy and stick a chainsaw up the survivors ass

Let me guess.. Rank 10 and above are impossible or nearly impossible for killers.. There's 1 viable killer at rank 15 or above.. All survivors are toxic.

    Amirite?

"i strawmanned you, what now HAHA!"

This post is actually really sad. Like it's totally fine if you don't like the killer. While I like the idea of a killer having abilities of survivors, I too think that this killer isn't very well designed. Things like that can happen though, let's just hope the next killer is better designed.
But calling people that defend and actually like the new killer pathetic, now that's pathetic. Never heard of the word opinion? If they like Legion, that's up to them. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion.

when people's "opinion" is born solely from wanting a free win whenever the killer is picked, is pathetic.

Sure but I'm pretty sure most people who like this killer don't just like him because they can get a free win against him.

    you overestimate this community

No, not easy wins. No one will play Legion, because they will play your beloved Nurse instead.

So if you want diversity - you should vote for fair and balanced changes for the weakest killers with Legion on the front line.

survivor always has, and always will be
    easy mode

95% sure the last time u played survivor was before the Vaulting changes and the Exhaustion nerf. Rn survivor takes wayy more skill then killer and I'm not even a survivor main (I've actually became a killer main since I'm getting Spirit on Monday and I'll be playing her a lot since hopefully she'll push me to develop my skill as killer unlike Nurse and Hag who I picked up in my first 4 games (for Nurse) and first game (for Hag and this was before she got her buffs). Yeah and Nurse and Hag are considered 'hard' the only killer that takes more skill then survivor (in general) to my knowledge is apparently Spirit. But if I pick her up quickly I'll tell you all about it.
Killer is the easier (by a tiny bit but definitely easier) gamemode.
Also I'm one of those players who love a challenge so that's why right now I do about 3 survivor games per day (somehow I'm rank 8 without even trying to rank up. My build is Sprint Burst, Self care, Iron will and Urban evasion for now but it'll be Botany once I get it to tier 3 so it shows how this rank system is worse then the 10k bloodpoints one .-.) And 2 killer games (at rank 11 but I double pip a lot since I play Nurse with no addons but Shadowborn, Nurses calling, Bitter murmur, and Deerstalker which is a ridiculously effective build since I slug people if I see 2 on a gen and get a ton of momentum from that and it's basically gg from there.)

sitting on generators and looping isn't difficult

Yeah but 3 gen strat, bloodlusting and tunneling isn't difficult either. And with looping, you have to at least know what u can make without getting hit, have a whole plan ahead of u. As killer ur just bloodlusting.

if you're bloodlusting you're playing killer wrong

Nope I'm not I dont need to my chases are quick. But most killers I face at rank 8 are. They'll take the stun on the pallet and bloodlust 3 you down.

    "rank 8"
you don't need to make any further posts

Tell me your rank. You're surely rank 15 or lower if you think that survivor is MUCH easier then killer LOL.

i've been rank 1 on both sides since release

You sure? Do you SWF or something? I find survivor much harder then killer in my experiences. Ever since the vaulting nerf the killers is more fun and easier then survivor by a BIT.

you just don't understand how to play survivor then, getting rank 1 is absolutely trivial even solo

You haven't seen the salty killers I face when they get looped with no teabagging or pointing and you DEFINITELY haven't seen the teammates I get put with.

looping ain't difficult, especially at rank 8

Let's be completely honest, everything about this killer is miserable.
His power is incredibly poor, one of the worst in the game in fact.
His perks are mediocre at best, and uninspired in design.
His design is uninspired, and his backstory incoherent, and his power doesn't match his theme.
He is not fun to play as, or against, the play experience as him is miserable, and playing against him is so trivial it's boring.
I really cannot understand how we come off of a killer like the spirit, into whatever abomination we have here.
And the people trying to defend it are even more pathetic.

...and it's not like the devs weren't told this by the majority of people who participated, they had every opportunity to not release it to the live game UNTIL it was ready - they were full aware of that the legion were in need of an overhaul, even did the opposite of what was suggested to fix him.

So yeah, the devs have ZERO excuses this time, they were fully aware of the issues!

they tell us they want to "make killers that are fun for both sides"
legion fails to be fun for anyone

I like the more human approach to his design, but I wish the fact that he's in a gang was worked into his power. As for his place strength-wise, it's too soon for me to say for certain, but I could see how a few buffs here and there might improve things. As for his power's connection to the lore, I don't see any connection either, but that's nothing new. I mean, what connection does the Trapper's power have to his lore, or the Wraith's, or the Nurse's? Literally nothing.

    their powers fit their theme
trapper is cunning and brutal, hence the bear traps, for example
legion's power doesn't fit the theme of a multiple personality killer

I view this as another millennial post without much substance.

Basically... because the OP doesn't "like" the new killer... therefore it is "weak" and "bad". Typical millennial thinking.

    Be objective.

I personally think the killer is in a good place. I think some of the add ons could get checked on, but overall I like the very humanistic look, the perks are fantastic on both sides, and it really forces people to chance the meta.

I'll be seeing a lot less SC, DS, Adren, BT builds now.

I think he's mid tier maybe? I don't know. It's hard to say right now. He just came out.

when you need to use generational buzzwords in order to attempt to invalidate my arguments, you've already shown that you have none of your own

    Nice try.

You've already made a fool out of yourself.

Using definitive opinions on something that just got released isn't wise. It is foolish. You are using personal thoughts to define something so new.

You're not even trying to be objective. I mean I personally would love 4.6ms movement speed, but that would be too strong I think for sure.

Think for yourself. Not what you hear.

If you think this new killer is the worst killer ever... or very weak, then you must not be looking at it objectively.

Then again, everyone has their own shortsighted opinions

most people agree that he is very weak, outside of the usual suspects

You cant call people pathetic just because they dont share the same idea as you. THAT is pathetic.

And not everything about this killer is miserable:

The power is strong in the point you can ignore pallets. If a killer ignore those, its amazing.
The power is weak when you have injured survivors. Why should you hit an injured survivor?
The second thing i really dont understand: Why does he get an ability that isnt used by him? The Perk with the locker is useless on him, since you dont use the exposed effect.
The Third thing i also dont understand: Why give him the ability to see other survivors when you cant reach them? All the time i try to chase the other the ability does not have enough time. And another thing is, it has no use to chase another survivor since you can easily heal the deep wound.

His Perks are pretty strong. The locker thing can be extremely powerful on low ranks. High ranks dont use lockers. So its a early game perk.
DIscordance is an amazing perk on all killers. You instantly know where more than one survivor are.
Aura reading is amazing for killers. So its a decent perk and i would use it on Freddy.

Mad grit is also a perk that is more for the beginners. Mad grit "can" be useful when you have a SWF team.

His design is inspired by the nurse and the spirit. You ignore pallets - you have a sprint.
Also i like his design of being a batlefield killer and also the idea having more than one person behind a character is amazing. Never thought about that and... Well its really cool. I like it.

For me he is fun to play. So dont call "he is unfun to play" as a point, lol.

Give him some time. Maybe they will buff him.

The biggest thing i dont understand: Why are all of his addons so freaking weak?
Played some games and you can also play without ANY Addons at this rate somehow.
Oh, and dont forget to get some perks that reduces terror radius, since you cant hit others you see.

what is the point of ignoring pallets when you cannot down survivors in any reasonable amount of time?
you also forget that to win in dead by daylight, the killer actually needs to HIT and DOWN survivors, doing this with what basically amounts to a 110% MS? complete garbage.
Discordance is only viable against low rank survivors, you should rarely need to work multiple people on a single generator
mad grit is a bandaid against a poor mechanic.
    this killer is garbage

The point of ignoring pallets? IGNORING PALLETS Yeah, its weak. Understand that. ironie off
I know that. I got that also with legion. I win most of the matches.
The movement speed is a little bit slow, yes. But he shouldnt be as fast as normal killers. They should add a new tier of movement speed, agree with that. But garbage, no, not really.
Discordance is good in all ranks. As i saw today (im still playing)
Mad grit is only strong on low ranks, again. And poor mechanic? What about struggle is poor?Cant you see hooks as a killer?
This killer is not garbage. Garbage is raging against a new released killer.

again, what is the point of ignoring those pallets if you cant do anything after the fact?
legion is very bad at downing survivors, that's all you need to know when making an assessment of his power
because ultimately downing a survivor is something that needs to happen to win games
discordance is only good against clueless survivors
i was referring to bodyblocking, not struggling
yes, this killer is not only garbage, but a giant steaming pile of garbage

You can hit him with your Feral Frenzy? It isnt that hard to hit someone after jumping over a pallet...
    Do you even played him??
He is not VERY bad at downing, he is bad at it, but not VERY.
You should check his power more. Its more than a "i hit someone and downs him" ability. Think of using it right... (moonwalk the survvior you just hit...?)

It’s certainly not powerful enough to contend with D-strike or Sprint Burst. I know I would always choose one of the latter two when given the chance.

I question your use of “need”, however. Neither DS nor Exhaustion “need” a nerf currently. Killers seem to be doing fine as it is, but it sure would be nice if they were changed to be less powerful and more useful. My proposal follows the same idea. Sure, We’ll Make It doesn’t “need” these changes, but it would be nice if it was implemented. I see no fault in my argument, and you have brought none up. Subsequently, I take it that you have some personal investment against changing We’ll Make It? I would love to hear your story.

For the rest of us who live in reality, there is a finite amount of progress one can accomplish with insufficient help. It's literally the intention of the game design.

How is it a free escape? Borrowed time has a bleed out timer, how is that a free escape? And if you honestly believe " if you truly are a better player than the killer it should be achievable, no?" then I have to question if you've ever even played survivor. That comment in and of itself is one of the most disjointed things I've ever read on here. I don't even know why I keep responding.

why do you think you deserve a free BT just for winning some RNG? there was no skill input from you, the killer already outplayed you by hooking you. I likely have many more hours on survivor than you do.
Lets be 100% real, all you want is another undeserved second chance, in a situation where you already lost, because in your own bias you think that the survivor should always have the advantage, and always needs to have things granted to increase their chance of escape.
you are not getting another second chance, deal with it

The skill input was surviving through 3 teammates to be the last man standing, or not giving up when some of them ragequit, or even just having a really good game that comes down to the wire. You're not being "100% real" because you're projecting absurdly on what was a recommendation for a mechanic that is beneficial for the killers just as much as survivors, (arguibly even moreso.) Your insistence on this being nothing more than a second chance demand just screams you have zero interest in the scenario, so why do you keep repeating yourself like a child throwing a tantrum?

"The skill input was surviving through 3 teammates to be the last man standing" you can easily do that by crouching around the edge of the map doing nothing, a totally meaningless statement
in what universe is giving a survivor BT for no reason other than existing beneficial to the killer?
i think the only one having a tantrum here is you, moaning and whining that you don't get more second chances.

its like poetry. This is why the devs have such a hard time balancing the game when they actually try: The feedback loop here is absurdly childish.

i don't know if you've noticed captain genius, but the advantage is already the survivors

The game overall is balanced in a way that benefits survivors more than the killer, especially with SWF. I'm actually a pretty strong advocate for killer buffs, especially outside of the core 2 viable king and queen. I'm actually able to get past bias though.

It's like that because you are not going to get away anyway. Even if you did theoretically get the 4% or you deliveranced off the hook, the killer could just as easily stand right there and down you again. There is no way to get endurance by unhooking yourself so you're basically as good as dead.

The way it currently it just speeds up the process. You don't have to wait for the survivor to attempt an escape, get immediately downed and then rehooked. It just ends the game so everyone can move on to the next one.

A change of approach that may or may not be a hot take: If a survivor is the last one and pulls off a self unhook, they get borrowed time and or adrenaline following the unhook? Maybe the kobe gets both, and deliverance only gets the borrowed time? Would make it a more impactful and less hopeless scenario, while still being fair to the "unbroken" last survivors.

If nothing that extreme, then at least some kind of bloodpoint bonus, similar to how killers get one for ragequitting survivors

    no
    more
    second
    chances
you were downed and hooked with noone else to save you, you lost, you don't need a free BT/adren because you feel entitled to an escape

You seem to have completely missed the context of the discussion, so let me repeat it for you: the issue is with the last survivor not getting any chance at either Deliverance or a 4% self unhook. If you get to that point and your first hook is the last hook in the match, chances are you were not the worst player on the team. And if you were? This suggestion would mean literally nothing except more free BP for the killer. The suggestion offered is one that would hardly guarantee a free escape, but would add a bit more to the match. The survivor gets a chance to stuggle a bit more, the killer gets even more bloodpoint chances (which should be super easy, at this point, tb) so its really a win/win.

    And what would it change?
    It would only waste time.
Because the killer has nothing to do but stand there and wait for your try to unhook and hit you as soon as you hit the ground.
Let's just skip this nonsense and just give them a bloodpoitn scoreevent, like +500BP for "last man standing".

Which is why the borrowed time and or adrenaline were mentioned: it would give the survivor a running start, which could lead to a chance to defend themselves. The only way this wouldn't be a BP buff for the killer is if they were afraid of actually having to play the game a little bit more. If this is the first time the person was hooked, you've already lost out on a good amount of sacrifice points as it is.

BT does not trigger if you unhook yourself.
Adrenaline is a very small situational chance that it could trigger.
And you already got extra handholding from the Devs: Invulnerability until you landed, free exhaustion relief, new perks to buff self unhooks.
What more are you asking for??
At some point this becomes insane.

Did you read my suggestion, or just the killer complaining about it? let me repeat it real quick:

"If a survivor is the last one and pulls off a self unhook, they get borrowed time and or adrenaline following the unhook? Maybe the kobe gets both, and deliverance only gets the borrowed time?"

And in case you also purposely ignored the rest of the scenario, this is specifically about last man standing situations where either the player never got to activate a selected perk (Deliverance,) or never got to even attempt to unhook themselves after going the entire match literally Unbroken. It also gives the killer a chance to get more BP in multiple categories, and would be an incredibly uphill battle for a survivor to even be able to do anything with.

It also gives the killer a chance to get more BP in multiple categories, and would be an incredibly uphill battle for a survivor to even be able to do anything with.

    you
    do
    not
    deserve
    a
    free
    borrowed
    time
    just
    for
    existing

Do you have videos of you 1v2ing a nurse or hillbilly? I'd love to see them. Survivors are playing a team game, which means they will be as strong or weak as their weakest player. This particular situation isn't about second chances, its about first chances.

i have many, many hours in this game
i have solo outplayed killers many times
your first chance was lost when you got spotted in the first place
you. do. not. deserve. more. second. chances.

Oh, you have? Please, provide some evidence. If you can get 2,3,4,even 5 gens done solo vs killers "many times," it shouldn't be hard to record a match of it real quick. For the rest of us who live in reality, there is a finite amount of progress one can accomplish with insufficient help. It's literally the intention of the game design.

if you truly are a better player than the killer it should be achievable, no?
just admit you want a free escape when you absolutely do not deserve one
you got hooked with no one to save you
    you lost
    end of

I can't tell if you're misinterpreting the scenario on purpose, or just projecting absurdly right now. Did I ask for the entity to throw the survivor off the hook and into an open hatch?
