I havent even been repairing gens with the toolboxes I bring in, only thing I use the toolbox for is to break hooks for the challenge lol
Unfortunately, a toolbox is a toolbox and seeing 2 or more will either result in a tryhard build or a lobby dodge. Just like seeing 2 or more keys.

Lol they do NOT like having to work at getting kills in the game. For so long it was easy 4ks every game, but then things started changing. So now instead of adapting or perfecting skills, they just lobby dodge and complain on this forum. (Winners huh?) lol
Sad thing is they’re just screwing themselves over in the long run because as game evolves, they won’t be able to keep up as they never “got gud”.
Lmao, guess I'll just adapt and change my playstyle if i see multiple toolboxes that apply passive effects that killers can not directly counter. Guess i need to play 100% perfect to have a chance against 3 braindead toolbox users. Sounds wonderfully balanced to me
-
I feel if anything he should get less slowdown from charging his dash or exiting his dash. It's really hurtful when you feel like you can use the dash in a loop but you can't, which gives the survivors wayyyy too much distance. Maybe it is too strong of a change considering oni is best when not being looped.
-
Honestly i just bring a mori if i see more than 2 toolboxes or 2 keys. Or 4 blendettes
-
At first i thought it would be the cookbook but i was so off. My most map offerings is yamaoka estate with 28 in total. It aint tooo much because this is across all my killers but it's interesting because i have 9 for one killer. Right under yamaoka is the pied piper with 8 of them on one killer and just 25 in total.
-
Honestly, oni is what legion should have been. A burst of speed that downs people. Not injures. Downs.
-
It'll only filter out the killers you play against. No more fun and easygoing builds with unique gameplay. A whole lot less variety of killers to play against. And more sweat builds, thats whats going to happen. Killers will have few and scarce opportunities to play nice now.
-
Haven't you noticed that the devs have only punished camping? If they tried to take it out it'll ######### everything up.
-
Thats like the worse "perfect" camping solution. If they camping they dont give a damn about emblems or bp. Thats like saying a kid will lose his vegetables if he doesnt clean his room. The kid doesn't care about the vegetables in the slightest, and the killer doesnt care about pipping or bp in the slightest. There is no way to get rid of camping without ######### over killers severely. This is just one of those cases of either git gud or get used to it. Camping is here to stay unless hooks somehow get reworked

Remove the HUD completely during the animation so that can take beautiful screenshots.
Add a no hud option in general. I wanna be immersed. I sometimes run no addons or perks because the game looks better with less clutter

Honestly both of Oni's ultra rare add-ons are complete trash and could be removed from the game and nobody would care in the slightest. At least we still have tOPknot lmao
Honestly I'm kinda liking his other ultra rare addon. Its really useful for information on basically any survivors location

I cant pull off an oni sadly. Or a david...

Slugging.... As oni with infectious. And being told that devs dont condone slugging lmao

I doubt it would be pure rng since the newest update came out, i just kept getting it over and over since 3.5.0 rolled out
I doubt that though, considering i had my first game on oni's map today since his release.

And they disabled badham so there are less maps in the pool rn

Just pure rng buddy

Killer mains are not happy with the game, I can tell.. Killer is hard to play, but I honestly think it's hard for only one reason. The lack of perks and having to grind for all the good ones. But that's a discussion for a whole different day!
But killers are just the worst! Like, they ask for all these nerfs to perks that survivors have, even though most "second chance perks" reward survivors for doing something that they deserve. Now this is where DS comes into the discussion. They complain and complain about DS yet they still tunnel, which is what the new DS is meant to prevent.
DS is a hot topic, but honestly stop asking for nerfs to this already nerfed perk if you're not willing to not tunnel. I use DS to not abuse this perk, but to use it.
I think I'm a pretty good survivor (heck, I better be for all the hours I have) and I can be chased for a very long time. Sometimes even the whole game, and I know that get killers frustrated. So when I finally get downed at, like, 1 gen left, I'm usually camped and tunneled. This is why I use DS. That's why everyone uses DS.
DS ins't the problem, it's honestly a solution! But killers only see it as "You get a free escape so know I'm going to tunnel you to death for that!"
So killers are the worst because they don't like one perk? Your whole point is about bad killers getting ran for 4 gens and tunneling. Good killers don't care about ds cause they apply pressure correctly. Besides nobody enjoys a 5 minute game where all gens pop and one chase happens

Pig is well only because ruin. Think of add on passes after you guys see the new stats with no ruin involved. The last range is now invalid for discussions involving new ruin

I would like it if it started off with some power at the cost of tokens being a bit less per token.
The problem with Fire Up is that it does literally nothing to start. And y'know, by the time the first chase is done, then 3 generators pop.
Even at maximum power, Fire Up is... meh, considering the fact that you need to be losing for it to work.
Make it give 6/8/10% at the start, with +2% or +3% or maybe per token (might completely outclass Brutal Strength at +3% though).
Well its supposed to be bad at the start, it's a lategame perk. If you combine it with bamboozle or brutal strength you will be breaking pallets and vaulting at breakneck speeds, allowing you to chase without worrying about gens as much. Sure its not great but it's not terrible either.

Orahhhhhhhhh!!!!!! Oni-chan is backkkkk and better than ever. I hope. Didn't play him yet

I have 80+ ebony moris on LF and less than 20 ivory moris, only used one of those ebony moris, so I agree with you.
thats because LF has 2 less ultra rares in his bloodweb, which means more moris

So I just wanted to post that these lobby times are getting insane. We all know it. I got on at 6:00 pm and couldn't get a match with friends till 6:40 I'm a different color rank than them but I think it's because killers are leaving. I literally haven't played killer in a week since the ruin nerf is coming I'm just over it.
And due to dumb lobbies the game stretches ranks thin enough as to making ranks look broken.
I recommend playing killer while you can before it becomes horrible
-
Sadly my fun is winning games. Getting 4k's and double pips or just pips and having fun and interesting chases or mindgames are my fun as killer. I don't enjoy downing one guy and hearing 3 gens pop or hooking someone and seeing 3 survivors on 3 different gens. I don't enjoy leaving survivors mid chase because i know i will waste 2 minutes chasing them only to get dragged into another loop. Ruin change destroys early game for 80% of the killer playerbase, now i can't even have fun with bad killers and play in a fun way because i will get absolutely backslapped by the survivors.
I love killer, still gonna play through the ruin nerf but i just hate playing the damn game. I take 5 to 10 minute breaks in between games because of how infuriating all the little things are. And i can't just change my viewset because I'm a competitive person in nature, telling me to meme around with a meme build and have fun will end up hurting me because i want that win.
There are a bunch of small, tiny things in dbd that just ruin it and all together they make one giant hole in my heart

I already got a 4 k with him without perks and rank 8-2 when he didn't got a rework, but yeah, he is better now
Just because a killer is the "weakest" it doesnt mean they can never get a 4k.
-
You say all this with no evidence of your claim. Nothing but smack talk. The ONLY REASON WHY A SWF will ever lose is if they let themselves to. If they are optimal swf they will b optimal as #########. Therefore the swf can win against a killer.
-
Issue with this aspect system would be it forces devs to tier their own perks and and such. Obviously we know what perks are useful or not but the aspect could bring a ton of contradictions. Especially with future perks releasing. Will perks be removed because they got a new combo? Would the devs purposely make ######### perks not meant to be impossible to combo? Just adds soo much more trouble than its worth. Fixing the already present issues without bandaids and duct tape would be a better choice than that.

The problem there is theyd have to balance maps while always having the perk in mind. Its a similar situation as what happened with enduring or Tinkerer. For any stun effects, they had to always keep enduring in mind to ensure the stun isnt completely useless while for Tinkerer, they had to ensure any addons they introduce didnt become OP when combined with tinkerer. In the end, they decided to just change both of those perks to avoid dancing around having to balance around the ideas of playing with AND without them.
For balanced landing, if they design loops so it doesnt feel unfair to a killer chasing someone with BL (a nearby door next to a window drop), it just ends up feeling worse for people who DIDNT bring the perk. If essence, balancing the map around the perk just makes the perk required while hindering the people who dont have it equiped.
This. I believe this is the real reason or the main reason to its nerf. It must have hindered the development of every map since it's release. Besides haddonfield because it wasn't as good on release until it got buffed
-
Just gotta say, god damn your bug luck sucks. I haven't encountered any of these at all and I also play ps4. Making me think we got two seperate games lol.

I think the emblem system needs a change overall, but I like the idea of being rewarded based on how well you achieved the goals of the game. A perfect game is hard in and of itself unless you're planning on doing it, taking precautions and things of that sort. I could double pip and get less BP than a trashcan in my game that did nothing but Gen Jockey and unhook when he wanted. Not cool considering I got all Iridescent emblems. Like the idea but I do personally believe the entire ranking system needs an overhaul.
8 feel this way too but at least now you get some sort of reward for doing well and pipping besides just ranking up into the hell known as red ranks. This also helps out with the problem of facecamping giving survivors no bp. Now they can get a decent 4kish extra bp due to having iridescent in objective and never going down. The rest will suck but getting nearly 5k bp is a huge plus when they can't do much. That's a guaranteed 10k bp due to also escaping
-
I can confirm sounds are also funky on ps4. I don't use stridor that much so i can't say anything about it but everything else mentioned happens on console as well.

Just read the patch notes. They said all the new changes are so survivors are less "frustrated." It doesn't get more biased than that.
Yeah I've read them. And I've read more posts that they've made. The comments and posts I've read made me see more causes to the ruin change. One being gens and how it is difficult to monitor them. Ruin made a lot of stats fuzzy and hard to see so don't just read one post and take the wording at face value. Sure doc was annoying to play against and we all know how obvious they made that. But they also buffed him by taking away his stance change, on command madness tier ups, a hell of a lot easier to get his shocks and wack people, and he got chase music.
I am 100% certain we don't have all the pieces to fill the puzzle of this update but if you stop looking at the middle and start seeing the background you will ne able to see there was more thought than "he aint fun tio play as"

Mettle of Man, Decisive Strike, Balanced Landing, Autodidact, Self-Care nerfs.
Sabotage no longer making hooks permanently broken, removing majority Infinite Loops, Less Pallets, killer perks are more reliable.
Well the other half of your comment is just stuff that obviously should not have been part of the game.
MoM was a mistake, ds isn't really a nerf its more of a change in activation, bl was justified so the devs can have more map freedom, don't know why you mentioned autodidact, self care is iffy because at launch it was insane then got nurfed a bit and it sucks now but there really ain't no middle ground for it. As long as sloppy exists self care will be bad

they have literally said they are survivor biased multiple times, including in the post where they explained their reasoning for the ruin and Doc nerfs.
So they've stated that they want to only balance around survivor fun and will screw over killer every chance they get? If not then you are just one of the many people who inflated this to the extremes.
Sure all of stuff recently been sucking for killers but by no means does it mean the devs are only in favor for survivors. Unless you got a quote or link to where i can find this definitive proof, i'mma think this way.

It means the devs have no idea about their own game and they just keep "balancing" the game with terrible decisions like hidding rank in next patch 'cause they can't fix matchmaking, a terrible doc rework and the ruin nerf.
The hiding rank thing was not pushed onto live. It was found on a leaked patch note list so honestly I'd just not bring that into an argument. I say give doc a week or two on live servers to see how he fairs against rank ones.
Ruin nerf sucks but it was needed. It wasn't done to nerf killers or cater to new players. It was done, from the way i see it, for game health. With ruin in the equation the devs couldn't make any changes at all to gens. Doesnt matter if it was a good one or not but they couldn't touch them because of the unpredictable variable called ruin. Ruin needed to be gone so the devs can see the bigger problems in a better sense. Of course gens go fast but how fast and why? Ruin clogged the gen data and now that it's gone we can easily see what needs fixing and how. Maybe toolboxes will be looked at now that ruin is gone because the devs can see just how efficient or inefficient they preform.
Thats just my take on ruin changes.

yes but they stated people are using ruin to up their gatekeeper emblem which is a load of BS.
Which is why they made gatekeeper easier to maintain.
-
@Eleghost said:
What i see is the "change" to ruin isn't the reason people are mad, it's the reason they have given to nerf it without addressing the reasons for it being overused. It's the only slow down perk in the game and even if it last 30 seconds or less it still gives valuable information or time to find a person. The failure to address the main reason for why it was being used really puts a lot of doubt in my mind that they know what's best for their game.
Side note: Since when do people actually care about their gatekeeper emblem?
Well unconsciously getting a pip does help people out with satisfaction. I be like "ayeee i pipped, ayyee i got a lot of bp, ayeee i 4k"
-
@Aneurysm said:
I only have 5, the ones where you have to massively deviate from the sensible way to play them are worse from what I hear though. Related: If anyone wants adept hag you should do it before the patch or you'll have to charge to the other end of the map and start slapping people around instead of setting traps
Actually it will be easier to get an adept on setup killers after the update because gatekeeper got changed to not be as punishing on losing the first 2 gens early on

Console killer is so instant i dont even have to wait the one minute start up because i join a lobby with 4 survivors in it all ready up lol.

Wish granted
Hillbilly's chainsaw now requires gas to function, so much like with the Trapper. You have to go around the map picking up gas cans and refueling the chainsaw after you use a percentage of it. Much like Clown's bottles
And there are only 10 gas cans on the map. Since he has map pressure he becomes 110% as well.

People use it as an EXCUSE... well of course I lost my ruin got found right away.
Tru is a good example, I mean he is a good player and generally wins anyways but if a Ruin gets destroyed he says immediately “this is gonna be a tough one, quick ruin.”
he is giving himself an out if he loses.
Well in tru3's defense, ruin was needed for a better chance of pipping. He cares about his pips so ruin being gone is going to make maintaining a high gatekeeper score just that much stressful.
