  • Bug. Been like this since his launch.

  • Just your perception. If all you do is play survivor, you'll only notice the toxic things killers do. And vise versa for killers. Not to mention people tend to remember the negatives more than the positives so thats something to consider too

It still sucked. I didn't go full sweat in those games, unless they flashlighted and teabagged at pallets.

Neither did i but i still killed them all, i would deliberately do bad chases a couple times so i can chase more and have fun chasing but i never went easy on them because i wanted them to have fun. And what is full sweat in dbd? Bringing meta perks? Mindgaming? Being good? I can easily tell what messing around is but it's hard to pinpoint a person being sweaty in dbd to me.

  • Oh on autohaven wreckers there is a portion of the ground near the shop that is just lower. If you walk in it you will have your pov drop a bit and clip through it. And I've been fatshamed multiple times through rocks that survivors easily go through yet i cant.

  • @PigMainClaudette said:

    Nope.

It's as Peanits said. That and half the time, the killer would just go full tryhard anyway.

Mainly to end it as soon as possible. I normally just wanted the game over so i would kill everyone as soon as possible.

Or maybe you thought they were tryhard because their was one less player, maybe the killer just played like they normally would and didnt treat the lack of a survivor any different than if there was 4.

  • God no, probably the only time i actually thought of disconnecting were those boring onesided slaughter fests, and I play killer lol. It's so boring to deal with that, then had to patrol the remaining 3-4 gens because it's near impossible to do 2 gens before the hatch could spawn. Only to deal with even more DCs because survivors didnt wanna play those games either. I'm much happier waiting an extra 2-3 minutes than wasting 15 and offerings/addons

  • I can not confirm this due to being an oni main. Also plague just aint that fun to play as

  • Yes. The devs intended and confirmed this to work this way.

Then you're very lucky because it happens to everyone else. I got a brand new computer months back and it still happens. So nope definitely not my computer.

Why do you think the game doesn't start with only 3 survivors anymore? why do you think the 4th survivor wasn't loading into the game?

Have you not noticed how many games do not start as it says one player disconnected? with no offerings that would cause a salty dc? why do you think that is.

It's very skeptical that you're trying to downplay one of the most known about issues in the entire game.

They say it shouldn't result in a ban but I've seen 2 people so far say otherwise. A lot of things that shouldn't happen in the game happen....which circles back to my original point that it's a mess right now.

Woah there, you can't speak for everyone there. I also have yet to experience an infinite loading screen.

    @Johnny_XMan said:

Yep because apparently the alternative was too much.

I honestly wouldn’t see people unplugging that often to dc. Takes too much effort. That’s just me though.

Crashes in DbD happen too often to go ignored and now instead you’re punished for it.

Well it will be common because if you can unplug and not be punished, whats the difference. I'd rather have nobody be able to bypass it and sacrifice some players than have it easily bypassed at the expense of the minority.

    This.

Saw someone else mention something to that effect earlier. Sucks, but they'll probably patch it up.

Reminds me of the time when there was a visual dc sign post game. I had a survivor ask why i dc when i didnt and they showed me a screenshot of a dc sign and no bp, i then showed them a screenshot of my bp and an obvious no dc sign lol. Off topic but just wanted to mention it

  • Probably should be in bug reports tbh.

  • Honestly it really is a balanced game. Got the 2 kill quota, that rank 15 looks like swf and other ranks line up. Still not sure how ds aint picked over self care or lithe though, apparently those two perks have higher pick rates yet look at this game

  • @Aura_babyy said:

How does the new penalty system correlate to the ranking system. You DC a lot?

As for the matches you're getting unfortunately you fall into that bracket.

Good luck to you is honestly the best thing I can day for now until they push the fixes out for console

That is not the bracket... Its a 6 (or 8 i think) rank difference. He is 14, they are 4. The difference is 10 and thats too far from the requirements.

  • @aregularplayer said:

not to mention the elephant in the room: DCers will just stop DCing and start killing themselves in hook

Eh, i still get my stacks

  • Hooray, I can be punished for pressing triangle by accident. Great job, and if the survivors reallllly want to bring in 4 toolboxes or be all blendettes they can always switch before the 5 second mark. If there is an obvious trend of what is being dodged there is most likely a good or valid reason to it being dodged.

I personally stopped dodging a while back. I remember i saw 4 toolboxes so i went in with my main and a bunch of good stuff, they used 2 hook distance addons but i chose my own map which was autohaven. I expected either insane gen rush or just a sabo squad. What happened was them being destroyed so quickly i purposely let them get back on their feet. 1 gen done and a 4k, this is why i don't care about toolboxes or items in general. If I play well i can still win.

I've had that happen to me. A game would not end because of a gamebreaking bug that prevented me from picking up the last Survivor (EGC wasn't doing anything to end the game either). I'm pretty sure that player wasn't even in the game anymore; I think my client just desynced from everyone else.

I'm not saying the game shouldn't have a penalty system because of these edge cases. I'm merely saying that there are more legitimate reasons to DC than just an IRL situation needing your attention.

And in those case, you won't be returning back to the game in one to two minutes. Which means the dc penalties will not effect you in the slightest. Leaving with the intention of hopping into another match will net you an obvious penalty. Leaving with the intention of doing irl stuff will net you a penalty but it will be gone by the time you hop back on.

  • @TAG said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1084660#Comment_1084660

That would mean that players who are stuck should stay stuck indefinitely. Which is silly.

Those cases sure dc, but in all my time playing dbd i have yet to witness one of those edge cases for myself. So I'll have to stick with the other guy. that one in a billion chance happening sucks sure go ahead and dc, wait the minute and play again. If it happens every game then your luck is honestly that horrible and I'd go play the lottery cause you got a better chance in that then a gamebreaking bug.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/128750/killers-need-massive-buffs

u can't fix killers based on 4ks and u can't base survivors on 4 escapes. there needs to be a midterm

My goal is not 4k's or making 4 escapes the norm. My idea is to make it so killers can do a chase and they don't have to worry about 3 gens being done in the first 80ish seconds of the match. If that possibility becomes impossible then I'd say killer will be in a good spot. That's really it. The devs themselves expect 1-2 gens in the first couple minutes of the match. 3 gens is in general too much to be popping no matter how good the killer is.

  • @Mikey4Hire said:

I don't think keys are a real problem, I just move on to the next match if they get out with hatch with the key. They deserved it since I didnt patrol gens too well and they got 4 or 5 done. I was losing anyway if that did happen

Even if you had an intense game, even with them three genning themselves only to be rescued by a 3 man escape with a key? Sorry but that mindset of "i was losing anyways so why not" doesnt really work

  • @a_good_player said:

You're right, they CAN do 3 gen in a minute and a half. But that's not the case with 99.9999% of survivors in dbd. So you can't balance the game around that, because if you do you're gonna destroy it for everyone else. And that's what some stupid killer main has to understand: if you win a consistent percentage of your matches, and sometimes you get destroyed is FINE. You SHOULDN'T win 100% of your matches, because a game that works like that will die, and is ridiculous that many people can't understand that.

Sorry but your argument wad flawed the moment you mentioned win. The game has no real win condition so saying the killer wins if they dont get "destroyed" is a bit arbitrary.

If your win is pips then it's completely possible to dominate, have a close game or even get destroyed and still pip or safety pip.

If its about the 4k then its still full well possible to 4k after being destroyed.

Theres no way your logic works with any type of wins

Also when did anyone mention maining anything?

  • No. Thats what i think when i hear legion. Oni is legion but better in every way.

Oni can down multiple survivors in one power go, legion cannot

Oni can go mega fast in short bursts, legion can too

Oni is fun, legion is not

  • @Jasonisanicefella said:

Most killers have a drawback, the shock therapy doesn't it doesn't make sense, it needs to be limited

IT HAS A DRAWBACK. YOU SLOW DOWN TO A SNAILS PACE WHEN YOU CHARGE AND USE IT. THEREFORE IF USED INCORRECTLY, THE SURVIVOR WILL GET ANOTHER LOOP OUT OF YOU. Ffs, it's legit the worst idea ever to spam shocks.

  • Oof, there is a drawback to using the shock. It slows the doc down and gives the survivor more distance so that means spamming shocks will hurt the doc. So no. No cooldowns.

  • @VinnyVince said:

You know I'm highly surprised alot of people havent asked this question. I hope the devs see this one. What do you guys think as a community about maybe adding another obstacle other than just pallets and windows?. Not sure what the obstacle would be but I think it's an interesting question/idea.

Interesting but it's impossible in the game's current state. I feel everyone just wants the game to be polished before content like that is added.

  • @PigNRun said:

I didnt watch the video, so basing it solely on your summary (Tanks veddy much, btw), I agree with most of these changes.

The only ones that I would like to comment on:

    Plague:

    • She should definitely be able to see sickness level of Survivors.
    • They should give her slightly higher infection rate with Vile Purge and adjust her add-ons accordingly.
    • Most of her add-ons are fine, I feel. They arent that interesting like Freddy's, but I wouldnt call them situational.

    Freddy:

    • I think he is perfect.

    Demodoggo:

    • Cant stress those points enough. Bad add-ons and gives way too many tells to Survivors.
    • The portal teleportation sound, I dont have much problem with it. I would however make it so that ALL add-ons that increase the duration of the Undetectable effect also removed it, at the very least.

    Clown:

    • Add-ons are fine (except for maybe Tattooed Middle Finger). His basekit is what lacks. They logically would have to be adjusted if they were to rework him.

As a freddy main his add ons are not fine. Sure he doesn't need them but the add-ons dont change jack ######### about gameplay. They all just increase or decrease a number. No interesting ways to change him up unless you wanna use the trash pallets. I find myself running the blind blocks and whatever i click on because there is no really good add-on. His paintbrush is good though.

I understand that I'm a new player and that I have to learn lots of things yet. But I really thinks It's not only me, 14 matches of 30 was against the Doctor. Math says that the killer is really strong and people know that, It's almost like 50% of matches are against him.

Besides that, every survivor dies just like me. I would like to know the winrate.

I'm not trying to get people mad! I just want to know if you consider that he is ok at the moment or not, and if the Devs has to do something with him.

Doctor got reworked recently, there are scream required challenges and he has his own tome challenges.

I think adding gen was necessary since now the tokens effect the obsession. Also the perk is no longer dead post obsession death.

Doesnt matter. Early game the perk will ######### you over so fast you won't be able to get enough hooks to counter it. You would need 7 hooks on 3 guys to take away that buff. You will lose almost every game in this situation if you leave the obsession alone.

  • #########. No. 35% to repair speed is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much. The perk would be 1000% worse from that change alone. Dying light is fine right now as is. No need to change what ain't broke

  • @Peanits said:

I've had this happen to me as well, although the time it happened to me, a survivor had dropped their firecracker while they were standing next to an object. Since it was high enough, it still managed to blind me.

If you notice anything out of the ordinary, please be sure to create a thread in the bug reports section. Any clips you might have of it would help a lot as well.

I remember hitting a survivor and they dropped a firecracker. I got blinded and the survivor i was carrying was dropped. Just thought it was dedicated tbh. Rip my evidence

  • As a killer

1- survivors that just stay at a pallet every time and dont even try to loop. Just sit there for the stun. Every. Damn. Time.

2- immersed survivors who urban evade everywhere and not doing #########

3- being accused of tunneling, camping and such when i 2 hook everyone lmao

4- playing the damn game lmao. Jk but honestly I feel a brain aneurysm every other game

  • Maybe its a design choice of some sort. I can't say for certain but it's probably just a coincidence. No real need to dig too deep on it. Unless it brings up a real issue which it doesnt

  • @Zixology said:

In my experience, No Mither seems to make you a tunnel magnet for most killers for some reason. I have no idea why they're so scared that they have to make sure that the No Mither guy is first dead every time.

Less being afraid and more of being more efficient. An injured survivor can only do gens and heal but if they can't heal then they only can do gens. If they get downed they cant be slugged because no mither gets em back up so the killer must pick them up. If they get left alone the killer loses pressure because they will hop right on a gen since they can't heal. Honestly no mither is such an annoyance to go against if the survivor is good.

I honestly don't know who would say BNP is a bad addon, when it cuts the gen to 60 secs alone.

And add on the fact you have a toolbox helping you shave off more time

  • Then how would perks work with this? Infectious will be absolutely broken if survivors are forced to be that close to the killer at all times and snowball killers like oni will be insane too. Not to mention corrupt intervention will be needing a rework if this idea goes through too. And how they gonna do the first 2 gens if killers have pop or other slowdown perks. Sorry but this idea ain't too well thought out, sounds like the game will end in the first 2 minutes by the killer slugging and hooking everyone

No. Not stupid. You got the right idea.

You just didn't realize that's what people usually do already.

But, there's always someone that didn't think of it. They might see this post and realize their mistake

Its probably due to me maining killer lol. Besides bnp don't get used that often and when it does i see the first 2 gens pop realllllyy fast so i was under the impression it was due to bnp. Here i am thinking i had a meta changing idea lmao, guess the post is a PSA now lol

  • @mouse0270 said:

I mean, I only ever used my BNP on the last 2 gens... I never used it on the early gens.

EDIT: I don't usually bring in a BNP, but if I did I always waited til the end of the match or if I was on death hook

Oh okay, i was under the impression that survivors used it on the first gen in the match lol. Maybe this whole post is me being stupid lmao.

  • @YaiPa said:

Too weak in early game. A decent amount of survivors can easily loop a pure M1 killer, denying you any hit.

Which is why perks like M&A help him out a bit. His true charm is mid and late game where everyone is grouping up and injured trying to get gens done. Even the devs say that 1 to 2 gens should be done early on. Once he gets his foot in the door the oni can and will be deadly. 2-3 downs per power means you have caused sooo much damage it just snowballs from there. If an oni is looped for more than 2 gens without a hit it is just the killers skill that sucks there tbh.

    @Stitch7833 said:

He is good, the change made was good. but i dont feel he is top 3, he`s very loud and loopable, sure his ability is strong but he needs to get it, and against good loopers he will struggle to get that power. he is also very loud to hear and see from across the map. he is good but once again he prays more on those weaker survivors, luckily alot of red ranks are weak now but i dont think hes top 3. of course its your opinion and its nice to see other killers get love but this was my opinion

he is sorta loud but his TR music ain't, which means with M&A he can catch a survivor off guard pretty easily ensuring his first hit. Yes he is loopable but that is only if he is being looped. The oni can down the survivor before they even get to a loop 9/10 times and even when he is being looped he can always leave and grab a slug or something. Oni does not have to loop like other killers due to him getting to the survivor before they reach a loop.

  • It would greatly hinder head on though

  • Imagine making the game easier when people die. Seems fair

What I usually do is 99 the chests for the BP, I found it, 99% of the BP are mine now, hehehehe. He can open it to get a better item though

Sadly nobody else does that lol. You sir are a god for being nice enough to let me get items

  • Dont loot chests if someone brought a coin. Someone obviously has plunderers and you just ######### them over. Especially if they waving and tbagging near you while you loot it

  • I'd say I'm pretty exceptional even tho i have maybe around 500 ish hours. Can't check because ps4 but i know this due to the end of the year saying dbd was my most played game. So hours really aint everything. Like you can have someone with the same amount of hours as me and have better game sense than people like tru3.

thanks boiiiiz thats a lot help but i have to figure out hov to get tana

Ahh, until you get thana you could try the ruin and surveillance combo. Just run bbq, ruin, surveillance, m&a.

  • Oni against 3 toolboxes... His early game probably went to ######### considering he has like the worse m1 early game ever so personally i dont blame the dude.

But yeah, DCs suck in general. I thought the penalties went live already though

  • @Deadeye said:

    What do you have? :P

Your "build" is not that bad, just Franklins doesn't work anymore with Frenzy hits (NOED neither, but it is still a good perk). Legion has a good possibility to make use and protect the Ruin/Surveillance combo. You got that?

Sloppy doesnt work either lol. 3 of his perks dont work in feral frenzy lol

  • Bbq, thana, corrupt, m&a

    Bbq is obvious.

Thana will make survivors think they must heal, when they really don't have to

Corrupt will group survivors up more which means you will get more stabs

M&a helps you get that early hit on survivors and kinda helps out in feral frenzy

Addons would be duration, because m&a will make you see longer distance so you wanna know you can make it. And you can run pins because they will be grouped up from corrupt

Hope that helped out a bit, i even tried explaining why i picked what. And actually you could probably sub in new ruin + surveillance instead of bbq and m&a. Legion keeps survivors off gens which makes ruin pretty good on him so yeah.

  • I use it on oni to ease my early game a bit more. My goal is 1 or 2 hooks before corrupt ends. If i get that then it did its job perfectly.

1 2 3 4 5 … 12
