I’ll be happy to talk about the RE chapter once we have more than a few teasers. There isn’t much to discuss at this point tbh.

If you hate SWF so much, then why not play nurse or spirit?
He plays Spirit, gets 4 outed and rage quits. Just playing a stronger killer isn’t the answer because SWF isn’t the problem, it’s that his gameplay needs work.
-
Can you also use it to shoot other survivors that farm or sandbag you? If so I’m on board.

What was buffed? On blight
His camera was lifted up so he no longer loses survivors in tall grass. They changed his controls as well so he’s now easier to play on console. Both those changes made him feel a lot more fun, and more people started to realise that he’s a strong killer with a higher skill ceiling than most, so he’s fun to try and learn without being as punishing as learning Nurse (where you’ll get relentlessly bullied until you get good - Blight is at least 115%).
-
I think the real answer is probably much more simple: they don’t intend to change them, and don’t even notice the change so never mention it. It’s probably tied to some other mechanic that breaks the timing unintentionally every once in a while.

But then you can use iron will against spirit. If you use iron will against stridor, they cancel each other out and apparently you dont have a problem with normal spirit. Or you use no mither and iron will and trade a health state for being silent.
So perk counter are not really are argument.
Stridor has a stronger effect than Iron Will, they don’t cancel each other out. You’re quieter than you would be without IW but still clearly audible, so it’s no counter to Stridor Spirit.
And No Mither is a horrible idea against a killer with an incredibly strong chase power.

It’s severely situational on survivors and It’s still can be abused on killers, both parties aren’t happy.
Perhaps make it only activatable in a chase so outside of a chase it deactivates (i.e. carelessly fixing generator as killer is approaching, entering locker, etc.) and maybe get rid of the current actions that deactivates DS, with perhaps a bit increase of timer and maybe longer stun duration if you got chased right after you got unhooked? This perk is a mix of absence and abuse at the same time, it needs a change.
How would you rework DS?
thanks for reading.
The chase mechanic isn’t solid enough for this to work IMO. Some killers (e.g. Ghostface) can easily force the chase to drop while following you, which would make it useless.
Personally I’d allow it to be used twice. If the killer tunnels you off your first hook they’ll probably do the same for your second. And I would make it deactivate if you open the exit gates so it’s not as strong in end game.

Freddy is really help, teleporting gen is pretty good power. But i have problem with other killers. Ghostface, Myers losing gens so fast, specially Myers. When i get T3, min 2 gens finishing. That is really problem.
The best thing you can do is record some matches and upload the ones where you really struggle to slow gens. People give helpful feedback and it may be that there’s some stuff you can use to improve your early game.
Throwing on more slowdowns isn’t the answer IMO. You shouldn’t need tons of slowdown in most matches.
-
You know you’re not invisible if you crouch in a bush, right? Memes about Blendettes aside, most survivors are still decently visible if they try to hide. That and they breathe super loud.
I don’t see why 90% of killers would bother risking a ban to use cheats when most survivors are so easy to find without them, lol.

@Northener1907 said:
3 survivors will work on gens. 1 survivor will loop killer with god pallets and windows. 1 minute later 3 gen done and you have 1 hook.
Yes game is not survivor side, sure
Yes, let’s imagine that all survivors spawn separate and jump on 3 different gens as soon as the match starts, the survivor you chase never leads you to one of them, and you chase the survivor for a full 80 seconds. In that scenario you would lose 3 gens sure.
But what about:
- Killers with anti-loop powers making the chase much shorter
- Killers using mindgames and zoning to make the chase shorter
- Survivors not spawning on gens and wasting time running around looking for one
- Survivors all spawning together
- Survivors doing totems
- Survivors looting chests
- Survivors farming challenges
- Survivors being interrupted on their gen by you chasing the other survivor
- Corrupt Intervention
- Ruin regressing the gen they worked on when they’re interrupted or forced to leave to save a teammate
Like, this game isn’t played in some sterile environment where all survivors are highly optimised teams who make the best and most efficient plays at all possible times. Most of the survivors you will face are predictable and greedy, they’re Megs who throw down shack pallet against a Legion in Frenzy, Davids who Dead Hard into the corner of the map, Claudettes who throw down pallets in the way of their injured teammate, and Neas who are so hungry for their flashlight save Tome challenge that they feed the killer free slugs. Most survivors are BAD. And if you’re regularly losing to those REALLY BAD survivors I have news for you: you played worse than they did.

I have reached that point where I have everything I want on every character I want to play and reaching 1.000.000 BP is actually a nuisance because then I have to *ever so slowly* spend it all on a character I don't really care about while listening to the overly loud bloodweb sounds. I really don't understand why people go out of their way to farm BP.
Because they don’t have everything they want unlocked and will have to grind millions of BP before they do...? Not sure what’s hard to understand about it, it’s a grindy game.
-
Yeah, I’ve definitely noticed this. I get frame drops and lag spikes more frequently as killer, but I haven’t noticed anything in particular causing it so haven’t put in a report because it’s kind of vague.
One thing I HAVE noticed for sure is that there are certain spots outside of the shack where I nearly always get rubber banded back while running around it.

Twins are up there. Terrible, oddball addons all throughout the set. Barely any stackable addons.
Toy Sword - Amazing addon. But it's....a brown? A 25% charge time addon is a brown? Nice.
Tiny Fingernail - Pretty useful. One of their better addons. Dropping Victor faster is neat.
Soured Milk - BARELY useful. You don't need Victor sitting around with a larger shriek radius.
Cat Figurine - Useless
Madeline's Glove - Like soured milk, BARELY useful. Simply just not worth using.
Ceremonial Candelabrum - 0.15 seconds onto the kick time. Are you kidding me?
Cat's Eye - Who the ######### thought of this addon? Worthless. You move at an extremely slow speed with your pounce charged.
Bloody Black Hood - Very meh (0.5 seconds), and the only addon that gives the effect of faster charlotte transition. Why?
Baby Teeth- Blindness for 15 seconds...after taking off Victor. Are you ######### kidding me?
Weighty Rattle - 20 seconds of broken. Meh. Just not worth using, but could've been decent with a longer timer. Pretty trash.
Stale Biscuit - Actually nice, takes off 0.5 seconds off of your cooldown. However, only one of these, once again.
Sewer Sludge - Worthless. You want people to take Victor off. This addon is terrible and has a negative effect.
Rusted Needle - Haemmorrhage. Nice for tracking, but overall, not worth an addon slot. If it added Mangled too, that would've been great.
Madeline's Scarf - More Victor speed, great addon.
Victor's Soldier - Aura reading after they kick a dormant Victor. #########? Worthless.
Spinning Top - Meh. If they have some items, sure. But overall, using an addon slot to counter their items isn't worth it. Trash.
Forest Stew - Amazing addon. More speed, always useful.
Drop of Perfume - Oblivious in Victor's shriek radius. Really? Pointless, and not worth the addon slot. You're far better off using the Ultra Rare.
Silencing Cloth - Actually good. 20 seconds of undetectable for free, always nice. Not their best, but decent.
Iridescent Pendant - Used to be 12 seconds of exposed after kicking victor, which was laughable. Now it's just slightly less trash. Could've had a far more imaginative UR addon. You don't want Victor being kicked, you want Victor around the map pressuring survivors.
The cat figurine isn’t just useless, it actually hinders you in some situations. I only used it once and will never use it again because if you aim a pounce at a survivor who’s near you, you get blinded by the bead of light on them. God help you if they spin near you.
-
Training mode.
More in-game customisation options.
Hopefully some fun events.
-
They probably had a string of bad games and want to play the next one on easy mode. It’s like killers who used to run ebony moris. Venting frustration after some unfun/toxic rounds with no care for how much it sucks on the other side.
-
When I’ve just got my third hook of the game. I’ve walked away and begun chasing someone else. They’re leading me around a bit, thinking they’re buying time for their team mate to get the save, and then I hear the unhook behind me. The survivor I’m chasing is losing distance and I can tell they’re thinking, “I’ll just take the hit and speed boost to safety over there” - but then I hit them with the Devour Hope stacks. It just feels so satisfying.
-
Not my experience at all. Most survivors either say nothing or gg. Some will say dumb stuff but I haven’t noticed any issues with SWF in particular.
-
I have absolutely no problem with slugging in most situations. It’s a good tactic and there are counters to it. The only time I hate sluggers is people who do it to grief, or people in matches like one I had earlier, where a Spirit tunnelled one guy out of the match as fast as possible and then proceeded to slug the other three survivors in rotation.
She would slug one guy and chase another, catch them and slug them and then go back and chase one of the other two, and on and on and on like that. It’s just incredibly boring and frustrating because you get locked in this never ending cycle of picking up slugs without the game actually progressing. Against most killers it would be fine but there are some (like Spirit and Twins) who have quick chases and can very easily slug, and it just feels so annoying because they COULD progress the match by hooking but refuse to for whatever reason.
-
Interesting that the use rate pre-nerf was only 27%. If you listened to the forums you’d have thought it was run by every survivor in every single match.
Also interesting to see the use rate drop so sharply. I wonder if that was before the change to have an Obsession in every match, or after.

I didn’t see requests for nerfs anywhere in the OP, they were just complaining that they find him unfun. You don’t have to defend the honour of your chosen killer, it’s okay if people don’t like them. They just have different taste than you.
-
Predator had its own game that seems to have flopped, so once they lose the rights I don’t see why not? They’re obviously open to using the license in games.
I think the Alien license was used in Fortnite as well so again, they’re open to licensing agreements, so I don’t see any reason why not.

Good luck learning him! I’m still practising my Blight skills and it’s a ton of fun, even when you lose the matches themselves are usually enjoyable since you get to zoom around and even the big maps don’t feel so frustrating.
If you have any friends that play, ask them if you can both jump into a custom match and practise chasing them around. Good practice for you to learn his power and also for them to learn how to avoid it.

Got hyped as many new killer perks (by some streamers etc.) before it came out, only to get abandoned by everyone after 3 tries because it's actually very niche and not overly strong. Same as with Stargazing, Oppression, Dragon's Grip.... the only killer perk from the last 4 chapters i still see despite being nerfed is Undying.
Yeah, people really over-hype perks sometimes. I remember when Power Struggle was apparently gonna be the new meta and seen in every match. Few months later and I never see it.
Just goes to show that actually testing and using the perks and seeing how they work in real match conditions is much more important than most people give it credit for. It’s nice to see people excited to try something new but the calls for nerfs on niche perks is always frustrating.

The thing is, we can't just "ignore it" because the GAME DEVELOPERS will listen to this, side with it (partly because of its sheer numbers), and then patch the game accordingly.
Well, no, the evidence we have doesn’t really support this. You know what survivors have been complaining about for years? Camping, tunnelling, slugging and NOED. And yet these things remain in the game, mostly unchanged - the devs have even defended them and said they’re fine as they are. The devs obviously don’t just nerf everything survivors complain about or Spirit would be gone, as would Hag, as would half the killer perks in the game.

Just ignore it and stop taking it so seriously.

Strode house is only broken when you have multiple balanced landings , Also Honestly he was playing the strode house really bad, the survivor was dropping off before the huntress even vaulted the window he literally could've just doubled back down the stairs and the guy would've ran right into him or been forced to leave the loop and find safety which would've resulted in a down for the killer fairly quick , also trapper and hag can deal with strode pretty well
If it was just that one house you’d have a point, but almost all the gens spawn in houses with incredibly strong windows, there are several safe pallets, the high fences can spawn some insane loops, and the gens are all spread out and very safe. It’s a gross map because almost the entire thing is safe, anywhere you run as survivor you can find safety. The issue isn’t one particular building or one perk.

Hey everyone,

Sometimes they're so long that I think the match will end because someone DC'd during load in.
Yes, I’ve noticed the same. They used to be pretty fast, then a bit slower with console crossplay, but they’re really slow now. It definitely takes longer to load than it used to and I’ve done the same as you, assumed someone dced and the match was gonna cancel but then we all load in.

hey guys, i just wanted to vent about some game mechanics & see if y’all had any advice on how to better deal with them. so, typically i play as both survivor & killer, with a slight bias towards survivor, but recently i’ve lost pretty much all interest in playing killer due to the frequency in which i get paired with SWF. now, i should preface that i don’t actually have a problem with SWF, and i’m not one of those killers who thinks all SWF are bully squads lmao. however, it’s the matchmaking when it comes to SWF that has made the killer experience absolutely exhausting. yesterday i had five games in a row that were all SWF, where at least two of the survivors were red rank. i’m a rank 15 (and pretty much staying there for the time being since i can barely get any hooks, let alone kills, with these groups), so at my current experience level, these teams are pretty much un-counter-able. i don’t wanna start camping & tunneling people, but it’s getting to the point where that’s the only way i can secure kills. any more experienced killers have any tips on how to deal with these groups? i’ve unlocked the teachable hag & bubba perks so far, & am currently working on getting myers’. also if it helps, i favor the doctor & ghostface right now.
Honestly, the best advice I can give you is to watch some gameplay guides on YouTube. Learn how to most effectively play the killers you enjoy (there are guides for every killer), and also watch some more generic looping guides.
You’re still a really new player so your issue isn’t so much that they’re SWF as it is that they’re much more experienced than you and you don’t know how to counterplay most common survivor tactics yet (and also matchmaking, but there’s nothing you can really do about that). Learning how to counter loop, how to deal with flashlights, how to apply pressure, and which perks will help you best will do a lot to help you.

No, not really... I’ve played on both kb+m and controller and the buttons aren’t the difference, the precision of mouse is what gives PC players an advantage. Pressing a button really isn’t any different than pressing a key.

Using Victor to camp is a waste of his chase potential. Unless you're guarding one of your slugged survivors to do some chasing with Charlotte.
Also, slugging has plenty of counters. The anti-slug perks in this game are quite strong.
Plus, there's this thing called "staying split up", which works really well too.
I’m not really talking about counterplay here, every killer has their counters. It just made me laugh that you said playing against Hag was boring but that you play the Twins. The Twins are honestly the definition of boring to play against.
-
He can only Shred in a straight line. Think of it kind of like Huntress hatchets: it has a noisy tell and range, but can be dodged because of its trajectory.
If he catches you in the open you’ll either get hit with Shred or zoned into losing distance, but that’s because you were in the open. If you’re at a tile, just try not to be too predictable with your pathing.
It also helps to play the killer in question and learn their timings and which loops they can and can’t hit you at.
-

Unlike Hag, the Twins can go on the offensive. Victor has some of the highest chase potential in the game.
Actually chasing survivors is much more fun than hoping your traps get triggered.
Yeah being slugged for 4 minutes every Twins game before being camped by Victor is definitely not boring or the sign of a poorly designed killer at all. LOL
-
Like others have said, Borrowed Time and Decisive Strike are the best.
In my experience Iron Will is also a good perk for slipping away undetected after being unhooked.

For starters, I don't play Nurse anymore. I still use her profile picture to pay homage. My favorite killer right now is Twins.
Secondly, Nurse is not as poorly designed as people think. You can indirectly nerf her just by making stealth stronger on certain maps (i.e. adding LOS breakers). The other killers are harder to balance because they have to play around tiles and pallets.
As for Hag, yes she is a bore to play against. The only thing you have to learn about Hag is trap placement and corralling survivors towards your traps. You don't chase survivors in the traditional sense. Once you have an area on lockdown, you just camp it. Nothing about that is fun whatsoever.
Twins? I’d pick 100 Hags over playing against one Twins any day of the week. 🤢
-
I’ve played him a few times since the change since I’m trying to use offerings on him before I prestige him, and I really can’t tell any difference. He’d still be the killer I pick if I want to get kills without really thinking about it, him or Spirit.
I only use pallets though so it might be different for snares.
Overall I think the changes were fine, especially nerfing his ability to ignore BT was a healthy change. I can’t think of many other changes they could make to make him more well-liked without weakening him a lot. They removed the cheesiest aspects of his power which I think was enough.
-
The time I spectated my team mate Claudette after dying only to see her running both Sprint Burst and Balanced Landing. Explained a lot about the match.

- How is 99ing gates different from slugging to prevent DS, for example?
Uhh because the survivor can get picked up or use unbreakable meanwhile the killer can't use perks or do anything against a 99% gate?
How do you compare a stun for the killer that can ruin his entire match and punishes him for killing to an exploit?
And no, people don't play around NOED. As I said, they don't care about NOED. The killer has to assume the survivor has all 4 meta perks, even if they don't. Not picking up someone who doesn't have DS but the killer thinks he has DS can ruin the killer's match. Meanwhile Survivors don't go around doing dull totems to prevent NOED because survivors have the luxury of not having to worry about perks the killer doesn't have.
- Playing around your opponent’s perks is part of the game for both sides.
Right, when you have survivors not rely on windows because of fear of bamboozle like how killers can't afford to slug 2 people over fear of unbreakable, or when you have people not rely on lockers because the killer might have Iron Maiden like how you have killers have to wait before hitting someone over fear of dead hard, etc you tell me how survivors play around the killer's perks.
The killer can open the gate.
Why did you ignore all of my examples to talk about Iron Maiden? Iron Maiden is a meme perk so the only time anyone is gonna play around it is against a Huntress. Do you regularly worry about survivors having meme perks like Technician? No, I didn’t think so.
It sounds to me like you don’t play survivor very often (if at all) if you think they don’t take perks like Bamboozle into consideration when playing, lol.

It's funny how killers have to always assume survivors are running meta perks so we have to bait dead hards, not hit unhooked people, not pick up someone who was hooked within a minute and not slug.
But survivors don't have to give a ######### about killer perks. They don't do bones to counter NOED since they will just abandon whoever gets hit by it, they 99% the gate so blood warden is useless, they don't give a ######### about BBQ because by the time the killer gets to them they can finish 5 gens and run to a safe loop, etc etc.
How is 99ing gates different from slugging to prevent DS, for example? You contradicted yourself in your response, clearly survivors do play around killer perks. Leaving early is a way of playing around NOED even if you don’t like it.
I can only speak for myself but when I play survivor I’m mindful not to heal in killer terror radius, not to open the gates too early, to hide my aura to avoid BBQ (unless I want to be spotted), to run and work on that gen that just went yellow, to do totems, not to tap a regressing gen when the killer just hooked someone, and so on. Playing around your opponent’s perks is part of the game for both sides.

But she clearly wasn’t a bad Nurse if she slugged everyone at 4 gens. Just let them wiggle and down them again if the hatch is already shut, it’s more fun than waiting 4 minutes for them to bleed out, surely.
