  • Nice try, killer main.

Noed does not need any changes at all. If survivors manage to cleanse all totems, you got your value in the early game, if they dont, you get it in late game. The one or the other, it is worth a perk slot against bad players. Since 99% of the playerbase is bad, it is a good perk.

  • @Gibberish said:

Now that DC penalties have been implemented, people are just instanty killing themselves on the hook as a "legal" substitute for DCing.

If you aren't going to play the game, don't queue up.

    No thanks

I killed myself a few weeks ago, since those 3 premades had no interest in playing the game decently. Nobody was doing gens but only trolling the killer with head-on and permanent flashlight clicky. I am glad they got stomped eventually.

  • @demodude said:

Many people dont like to play against Oni. Why? What do you want changed?

I dont mind versing or playing as oni, but i think his design is not very well ballanced.

He is a lot like myers, but in early game even weaker and in late way stronger. I would give him a slight early game buff and i would nerf his power just a bit.

  • @DwightOP said:

Imo the 5 minutes penalty on 1st DC is set to high. It should be more like 1-2 minutes.

    Why?

If you loose your internet connection you wont even know that you had a penatly once you interent if up again.

If you did it on purpose, you deserve a even longer penatly.

  • Everyone beside Pennywise would be cool for me (pennywise does not fit into this game at all).

I would also love to see Pyramid Head btw.

Maps: Yep, Woodsboro would be really nice, Stu Marsh house for example. Must not be Sidney, could also be Randy or Dewey.

  • She just need some small nerf with her power recovery, really only slightly, and she is fine i think.

It sounds like it isn't something that should have changed all that much, but the speed of matches has clearly changed drastically. Like, matches where the Killer did not use old Ruin, were never over as fast as matches are now. Survivors just don't give a ######### anymore, and just get on those gens from second 1.

It is hard to understand for me, why so many killer player have these problems now somehow.. well not really tbh, but i am suprised that many of them dont realise what they are doing wrong, while it is so obvious. As a killer, I got genrushed once since ruin change (as Leatherface on lerys, and i wanted the Chainsaw so bad because i got bored), and that was totally my fault. I guess, people just want to fully tunnelvision every single survivor peacefully.

And this is not just my imagination or just a random assumption... the ammount of times where the killer is chaseing me for minutes is absurd.

How is Bhvr supposed to balance a game, when a really potent killer actually can have a almost 200 4K streak in a row when he is playing his role correctly? Some here say DbD is ballanced for potato or new players.. so why can good killers get 4Ks all the time, and not so good killers are coming to the forum and complaining nonstop that they can not get any kills at all? Makes no sense.

    • (Killer perk) Hex: Equilibrium - While active, this hex has no effect. When it is cleansed, all 7 gens explode, start regressing, and the total combined repair progress is spread evenly across all gens. Completed gens are NOT immune to this effect. For the remainder of the match, the killer can damage gens 5%/10%/15% more quickly.

Early game this can almost completely reset the survivors, as the small amount of repair progress is spread across 7 gens and then lost to regression. Late game, popped gens will need to be stabilized and re-completed, but won’t take as much time to complete since there is more overall progress to spread around. Read the discussion here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/125667/hex-equilibrium#latest

    • (Survivor perk) Enshrine - this works like a hex for survivors. In the last 5 seconds of a generator’s repair progress, receive a very difficult blue skill check. Hitting the skill check enchants the now complete generator and earns you an additional struggle phase on the hook (you now die on your 4th hook.) Every survivor touching the gen when this special skill check is hit will have their items recharged by 33%/66%/100% (but not above max). Unless exit gates are OPEN, the killer can damage the generator at any time to remove the extra hook phase (and cut power to the switch if timed right). This particular generator regresses at 1.5x normal.

    Read a more in-depth description here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/129720/survivor-hex-enshrine#latest

    • (Killer perk) Balance of Power - Open an exit gate by your own hand to cause 2 completed generators to revert to 80%/65%/50% complete. The exit remains closed. Once 5 generators are powered again, both exits and the hatch will open and EGC will commence.

There’s not another thread in this one because I just now made it up! But heck, this one sounds fun!

    I like your creative ideas!

But your perks need some adjustments, so they wont become unfair.

    Hex: Equilibrium

Add, that all the remaining gens are highlighted to the surviors (in a different color, lets say pink) for 10 seconds.

    Balance of Power

50% is WAY to powerful. 75 or 80% might be fair.

I disagree with you OoO still gives you a massive amount of info even on stealth killers yes they can see you but you know what direction there in..and you know there within 72 meters of you or 64 if your not the obsession..yes it would be considered a bad perk if you don’t know how to loop but to a competent survivor it’s a extremely strong tool

I said "Stealth killers can see you but you cant see them. That is not exactly how a strong perk should work"

The stealth killer gets more info then you, you are putting yourself in a disadvantage. There is no way you can argue or disagree with me.

And you get the "massive ammount of info" from spinechill aswell, just way way WAY better.

Also, where do i say it is a bad perk? It is simply not an S tier or anything like that but also not bad.

  • @GHOSTfaceP3 said:

It’s up there with DS,BT,adrenaline, dead hard and sprint burst especially against Freddy or people who use nemisis or low terror radius killers it’s a very strong perk..it was broken when it revealed stealth killers lol

Stealth killers can see you but you cant see them. That is not exactly how a strong perk should work.

Good for SWF, okayish for Solo.

One of the best perks for Survivors? Definitly not, way to many flaws.

Spinechill for example is infinitly better. Still the most underrated perk, even tho it is considered S or at least A tier by most who actually know anything about the game.

  • @RIPotatoes said:

Okay look if you stopped playing killer just because things have been getting "harder" for the killers (apearntly it's an actual reason for no longer playing killer multiple people said this) literally if u want to win almost every match just patrol the three closest gens, and hook survivors on your patrol route to help discourage saving. You should get at least 3/4 kills every time

Why do you think it got harder for killer? Just because they changed a perk that was cleansed within 30 seconds anyway?

  • Just because you spend a lot of money you wont quit? I dont wanna encourage you to quit, but if this is the reason, you should rethink why you play video games in the first place.

Sure . To many toxic scums squads. Flashlights,Looping,Gen rushing, tea bagging ,bodyblocking.Every game same Horror. Ps RIP ruin i miss you in 4 5 minutes game. PS4 user.

Hm, this game has its charme because of player vs playing interaction. Sure, tbaging and other bm (looping or "gen rushing" is not bm by the way) can make it a bit frustrating for the killer (and a tunneling and camping killer for the survivors) but if you can not deal with looping or that survivors are bodyblock, it might be that a multiplayer game is not the right thing for you?!

Also, you dont need ruin. Try corrupt and pop combinition, it works 10 times better then old ruin. Also, dont tunnel. When you dont get a hit, a down or at least a pallet after 15-20 seconds during a chase, you are forced to leave the chase and go for them on gens.

    GL&HF

  • I love playing killer more then anytime ever. Getting superfast lobbys all the time instead of long queues is great. Gaming experience is also amazing for me.

Honestly, I dont understand why people dont like to play killer right now. I guess most of them are still salty about ruin change lol. Probably the the same people that came to the forum in the past and complained about ruing beeing useless because it gets cleansed within 30 seconds.

The best way in my opinion to encourage people to play killer is actually to make it harder to rank up for survivors and a little bit more easy to rank up as killer, so the ranking will finally fit.

  • @amnesiac said:

Devs plz add botzzzzz pls! TY

Can you explain why you want bots?

  • Wait a second.. what?

Ranks were reset today. Some players are experiencing issues where their rank gets reset back further than it should under the new rank reset system, which is a bug that the developers are looking into.

So, devs are telling, that the rank reset (i got deranked from 1 to 10 instead of 1 to 5 or 4 to 5 for example) is actually a bug? Please, tell me that i missunderstand this. I was so happy when i turned on DbD yesterday and i deranked like before the infamous last deranking season.

The "1 color derank" is a mistake... devs.

Please, please please.. let it the "bugged" way. We dont have to be all in red ranks, its awful enough already with the ammount of really bad and unexperienced players up there.

    Thank you

  • I have and had always fun playing killer and i simply can not understand the mentality of many here. Who needs ruin when there are many other great slowdown perks? Corrupt, Pop, Thana, all anyway more consistance then ruin ever was.

On top of that, i am actually also doing better now. Ruin usually never lasted for more then 60 seconds anyway and then i had to play with 3 perks.

    Hallo Reason

  • Dont put Nurse into the same tier as Billy, Spirit or Freddy. She is about 2 tiers higher.

  • @Endstille said:

I stopped reading when you wrote requires no mechanical skill because that is where you are wrong. Hillbilly is next to nurse the only killer which do require any sort of mechanical skill in the game to begin with.

Curving is something you will have to learn for tiles etc.. since you claim it is so easy to do and there is no requirement, i suggest you play now 50 matches in red ranks. You go 4k each game, only use the saw. Record and upload.

I agree, curving is defintily one of the hardest things to do.

Billy is a strong killer, but he needs (after nurse) the longest time to get good with. His potential is insane, but as i said, it takes a lot of practice.

  • This comes from a guy who thinks, that the killer usually has the upper hand:

I agree with pretty much everything you said there. You can not loop a decent clown for a long time.. thats true, so just drop the pallet early and he does not have a lot to work with.

He suffers the most on big maps like red forest, since his throwing and then reloading time of his bottle takes quiet a long. His mobility and map pressure is really bad.

    How to fix him?

Difficult. I would not start making a 2.0 Freddy by giving him tons of extra abilitys, but rather i would buff his ability.

    Make it that

    • If you hit a Survivor with your bottle directly, the survivor suffers from an extra hindred effect and is almost blind for a short period of time
    • If a survivor comes in contact with the gas, the clown gets one stack of bloodlust for 3 seconds. Can stack up to 3.

What do you think about that?

  • This is how long i wait on avarage.

PC (middle europe region, rank 1)

    Solo Survivor: 2 minutes

    Group: 3-4 minutes

    Killer: 30 seconds

I was referring to the idea of the Mystery Box randomly containing a teachable perk that then becomes unlocked on everyone's bloodweb, which I assume is what the other person was asking about. As long as the Mystery Box would only contain perks you already unlocked, I'd be okay.

It was ment that you get the perk instead of a random item or offering. So you have a chance to get 3 (or even more, depending on how many mystery boxes are available) instead of 2 perks out of a single bloodweb.

  • @CornMoss said:

As survivor its way too easy to escape from the killer, I don't even feel like I deserve the escape, give me a damn second objective already, make killers actually scary.

Then there is killer, it's basically impossible to have fun and be competitive at the same time. I am very competitive but I like to have fun while doing so, but if I can't pip and just get treated like ######### for giving it my all what's the point of playing. Just add a second objective for survivors and both sides will have more fun.

This is just a small thing though, I could go on for hours of all the crap things dbd gives out, some examples are god loops, gen speeds, moris, iridescent add ons (huntress hatchets) etc. A lot of these issues can be changed so so easily with simple number changes in the code but the devs don't even seem understand their own game.

Ah yes the mysterious perfect nurse which simply does not exist.

Sanctum deletes her power, nurse has lots of bugs left but I am sure the unknown perfect nurse which does not exists will also fix all of that with her sick skills which can not be shown due to reasons.

Stop acting as if nurse is as she was prenerf. A nurse main that has so many hours into the game and he isn't the perfect nurse (which is funny since that was how he was attributed by somebody who also claimed the same bs as you) and says he can not be taken as example for a normal dbd player.

Furthermore she can not be looped yeah but she can still be run around on the map.

Okay, i see your arguments make a lot of sense, no way i can match that. Thanks for discussing.

  • @Endstille said:

The only person that is clueless is you. So a nurse main with 2k hrs alone on nurse and 7.6k hrs admitting he loses rounds also as nurse when survivors do push generators. Factor in a map that literally makes her unplayable on sanctum and et voila. Freddy does not have any of these shortcomings, playable on each map.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1077689#Comment_1077689

    All good. :)

Sorry but if anybody says Freddy is stronger then Nurse, he has no idea what he is talking about period. No matter how many hours this person might have on each killer.

Sure, you might loose as the nurse aswell from time to time, but thats not the fault of Nurse, but the fault of the player. She has basicly no limits, while Freddy does. She can not be looped, therefore a perfect nurse will win every game. And thats the question here. A perfectly played freddy might still loose, since pallets and windows can hinder him.

And also... because there is a bugy map, it means now that Nurse is bad? That only mean they have to fix the map, thats all.

I would argue that their teammates suffer the most, when you say stealth I would argue only 1/10 people who play immersive play it “correctly,” avoiding the killer When he’s close is definitely a great skill but you have to do SOMETHING else to help the team. People who spend 90% of their game in a locker or crouched behind a tree even when the killer is on the other side of the map are a detriment. Unless you’re meming with friends this is just unfair to your team.

I mean, yea you are right, its not effective, and i am the last person in DbD that would ever play stealthy (i find it boring and uneffective aswell). But many do it, and this would be a very hard nerf for their playstyle.

On top of that, this is maybe just a "relative" small nerf for the best survivors, but a hardcore nerf for beginners or unexperienced players. Its hard for them already to get into the game, they can not make it even harder.

  • @ApeOfMazor said:

Ruin is gone now, there is no reason that DS and other meta perks should exist anymore. If killers have to suffer through gen rush then survivors should have to deal with tunneling and camping. Suck it up survivor you got caught. Enough with the 2nd chance perks. Make this game actually fun again instead of a survivor playground.

Okay.. i dont want to start another discussion about killer vs survivor and gentime... all i say is, that i dont have any problems with gentime and i get my 4ks most of the time. Just please stop complaining about this, and try to get better at the game. No offense :(

First of all, no! Survivor Meta perks dont have to go, some might need some adjustments, but thats it.

Second, and this is the most important part for you: simply run this perk constellation and you wont have any stress winning most of your games on red ranks:

    • Corrupt Intervention
    • Pop goes the weasle
    • Safe the best for last
    • Any tracking perk like BBQ, Discordance, Thrilling Tremors.

My thoughts exactly, but apparently Otz got very sensitive during this game.

Well, i guess he was awake for a long time (24 hours stream?) so that probably caused his bad mood. He is normally a chill guy.

    @Aven_Fallen said:

Would be nice if you would a) use Clips for Twitch Content and b) use Timestamps for Youtube. Makes it way easier to get to the important parts of the game.

Also, what needs to be considered: Otz was live for almost 24 hours already. This includes, being awake for at least 24 hours, of course his mood is different from someone who had a good rest and is recording a video (when I made a Night Shift for university, I was mostly fine, but not in the most enjoyable mood either).

And well, I dont see any problem with Head On. There is also a risk in using it, you can get grabbed out without performing Head On.

I agree. Head on is definitly not overpowered. I honestly love seeing people running this perk. A guy in a locker preparing the Head on stun = one guy less on a generator. A guy running this perk = no 99% Sprintburst, no Dead hard. I take this any time.

Unfortunately for people who do enjoy stealth, the game does not really function with stealth as a good idea. Its high risk medium reward, while looping is low risk high reward.

For example, even if you are on a gen and you try to hide the millisecond you hear a terror radius begin, you have like 6 seconds to get where you're trying to go before the killer is at the spot you were. Because you're being stealthy, you didn't run, so you're not moving very far in that 6 seconds at all. Any good killer is going to know the areas to check, knowing someone was just on this generator.

Then, if you're caught, you're dead, as opposed to a looper who is always trying to make distance from the killer. Sometimes stealthy players do evade me. Most of the time, I catch them in a complete dead area because they chose to hide there instead of using the other defensive mechanics of the game.

There's nothing wrong with that playstyle, but it is definitely objectively weaker than looping against good killers.

Also, in the scenario, if you're fleeing every time you hear the faintest heart beat, the 15 times the killer isn't actually coming to you you're spending time not doing generators and generally being useless.

I agree with this 100% this would help killers out so much it would also let devs continue making bigger maps I see no downsides to this -also to make it to where it can’t be cheesed by wraith- just put a 120 timer on it thus giving the killer time to find someone without being gen rushed right off the bat

I like that idea in general, since i would love to experience longer games but the problem i see here is that this is just a straight buff with no downside for killers, especially for Trapper, Myers, Plague and Hag. None of these killers really need that strong of a buff.

If survivors get something in return, i would give this idea a +1, other then that, it is not a serious idea that can be considered.

On top of that, stealth people will suffer the most. And these kind of guys already suffer enough.

    Is this good?

For a survivor, For a killer,

Let me know what you think.

    Hello

Here is my honest answer. The games are going to fast most of the time.

It is either one side that the killer is mowing my team down way to fast, or the survivors are able to do the gens very fast.

But to accomplish great gaming experience in terms of longer and more interesting matches, they have to do some major changes.

    • Survivors have to have more possibilitys to defend themself and stall out the game longer (in any way)
    • There has to be more objectives or different objectives that would take longer to do.

Longer possibilitys of chases, longer objectives.

On top of that, killers have to be changed aswell. Some killers are breaking the game if we want longer gaming experience (Nurse and Spirit definitly, probably even Billy, Huntress and Freddy) with their great chase potential (i am not talking about you who reads this, i am talking about a godtier killer, that actually knows how to chase survivors, you know, a nurse that gets 2 downs within 40 seconds of the game)

So gens are 80seconds each plus 20 for the gate so each survivor is responsible for 105 seconds of an objective or 7 minutes for the group. AT BASE

    Killer-12 obj (each hook)

So it all comes down to this 35 seconds for find, a chase, a down and a hook is expected for a killer each time. 12 times with no mistakes to get a 4k win. Dispite how the last guy gets free hatch

    Point 2

Survivors have a better field of vision. Killers are locked into a small first person window

    Point 3

Survivors have 12 perk slots as team to counter the killers meager 4 slots.

    Point 4

Survivors can each bring tools with ultra rare add ons while the killer can at most bring 2 if that killer has that many.

Survivors keep tools and addons at escape while the killer has to grind for his each and every match. Survivors can also gain tools within the match and leave with them.

    Point 5

Skill checks have visual and audio cues so after the first few hours of this game you shouldn't miss another one, making them irrelevant because they are so easy.

Terror radius and red stain help survivors locate the killer while the killer only has sounds of repair and crows but he triggers crows himself so they dont often help and take a while to respawn.

    Point 6

Teamwork like rotating chases, com communication, hook rush and body blocking are only some of the huge advantages that killers cant compete with.

    Rambles.

2k-2E is not how the game is made otherwise we would see the score screen at 2 kills.

Most arguments are modeled upon ranks, time played, or who mains what. I have played since launch and hit every rank on all characters each year I play both sides but 2019 que times have forced me to be killer more often rather then wait 20minutes a survivor match. So so so many stats are missing that players just dont have access too...

but 50% kill rate could mean 3 players get 4-k and 3 players get 0-K.

If you camp or tunnel with mori you can get a 1 kill almost every match. If you bring key or ask friends to dc you can get hatch every match. These do nothing for the quality of the game nor should we discuss balance on that or how top streamers play.

All killer perks have counters but maybe 1 and survivors don't have any perks that can be disabled by common killer action like hexes can.

If I'm missing something or I'm not understanding something please explain it the best you can.

    Hello.

Okay lets talk about this @emptyCups

Idk if it makes sense to discuss any of these points you listed, since it is an asymmetrical game.

But i think it comes down to some factors:

    1. Are Survivors solo or in comp? 3 or 4 man squads are usually stronger then killer, but if survivors are solo, the killer has usually the upper hand. Since in most games there are solo survivors, the killer has more easy rounds then hard ones.
    2. Which Killer is it? The Nurse? LOL she wins almost all the time if she knows how to actually play her. Legion? Bubba? Survivor will win more often then not.
    3. Maps! There are some maps that are survivor sided and some are killer sided. Look at lerys or Lab.. both very killersided. Or Haddonfield, definitly favours survivors.
    4. Tools! Is the killer bringing a red or green mori? Then he wins. Since you get them frequently, you can basicly get your freewin very often. Survivors bringing best toolboxes and key to a game? Then the Killer will have at least a very hard time to deal with them.

It is definitly not Survivor sided in my opinion, as you can see, there are many factors that have to be considered. But it is also not 100% killersided, even tho i think the killer should have the upper hand considered that a lot speaks for him.

I know that some killers here tend to say, that these statistics dont mean anything, but they actually do. The killrate is so absurdly high, that there is no real excuse tbh.

Last but not least, i play killer myself and i can honestly say from my perspctive, that in almost all of my games, i get 2-4 kills and tons of hooks. The 5 or 6 games i played today for example were nothing but stomps with Clown, Legion, Doctor (x2) and Wraith. No mori, no camping, no tunneling. In non of these games they finished more then 3 gens. RAnk 1 of course.

Killer can be really stressfull, but difficult? Absolutly not. I dont wanna step on anyones shoes, but if you think killer is hard... you better should not play a really hard game then..

    Kind regards

This perk activates any time survivors start working on a gen. If they stop interacting with it (as in zero survivors are actively interacting) then it becomes blocked by the Entity for 20/40/60 seconds. There is no cooldown or limit to how many gens can be blocked at once. Killers can still kick blocked gens, but regression doesn’t begin until the block expires.

Ahm... that would be absurdly overpowered. Instead of 60 seconds ( sry but.. #########? ) maybe 5 or 10 seconds, and i am not sure if that is not already to strong (imagine Hillbilly running this)
