High-level DbD is currently camping and genrushing and 4-minute trials. And it is relatively balanced. So ######### that, let's force all the sweaty players into one area like the comp scene pretends happens and the rest of us can enjoy the game.

That’s the point though: high level DBD wouldn’t be as bad as it is now if it were balanced. The game can be balanced without killing it for low level players.

You do realize it’s 6 knifes now a good person with god tier aiming will never miss so if you are throwing your blades your going to down them quick remember it’s just a update we will wait and see on Tuesday

Or that same person with god aim could choose deathslinger and get a health state instantly. Trickster brings nothing to the table.

  • @Altarf said:

For those who haven't read the dev update, the short of it is the following:

-6 knives to injure, down from 8. (Buff)

-Laceration takes 10 seconds to decay, down from 20, and decays faster when running. (Nerf)

-Main Event activates in 0.5 seconds, down from 1.5. (Buff)

-Main Event can only be used if you have at least 30 knives. (Nerf)

-Main Event holding time increased to 30 seconds, down from 20 seconds. (Buff)

Also various add-on changes which I won't go into.

What do you think? Will edit in a link later to the update, just writing this as I see it.

Trickster will still be worthless. They didn’t need to nerf anything, yet they did. I also find it funny that they said he is one of the lowest performers when most of the survivor mains on this forum would say he is “pretty good”

Brother I have seen post of people literally saying "survivors need to loop and not hold Shift+w" 🤣

This is a horror game running is a part of it, I don't know if you guys are serious at this point. You guys realize this is the most polarizing complains in this game? If you guys are actually serious?

Again, I don’t blame survivors for doing it, but it is a valid complaint. A bunch of people are saying to just change targets, but the problem is that a smart team will stay aware of your location and then hold W into strong structures when you approach anyone.

  • @Trickstaaaaa said:

The people that gripe about this sound silly, do you guys even realize? You are telling survivors you can't run, you got loop us. Like this a horror game running a major part of it. This is pitiful survivors can't run. How about stop chasing people that are clearly good loopers. Start going after the weak links. Or I know what you mean when you get a 3 gen but all 4 survivors are still alive, and if you chase one you will lose. In that case I'm sorry, when that happens to me I usually accept that I will lose. At that point just accept the loss. Anyway I'm guessing once dead hard gets nerfed, you guys are gonna go after sprint burst I'm 100% convinced.

No one is saying they can’t use what’s in the game. The point is that it’s imbalanced

  • Then the survivors you’re facing aren’t as good as you think. It isn’t easy to win with spirit against good players.

  • @Steel_Eyed said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2326062#Comment_2326062

I think I don’t have to try when playing Spirit in pubs.

Right because most survivors playing are potatos. I can 4k in most pubs with killers I’m not good with. Go against good survivors consistently and get back to me.

  • @Steel_Eyed said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2325768#Comment_2325768

Winning because players do not try is definitely, definitionally, absolutely, totally boring.

And yes, the possibility of losing is what makes my games and my gameplay more fun for me. No gen regression. Don’t mind keys. Overcome.

Knowing that a player can only win with one specific top tier killer has gotta be a bummer, too.

If you think Spirit doesn’t have to try against good players, you don’t know the game. Against these type of survivors, there is no “possibility” of losing with most killers- it is a certainty because the game is imbalanced.

  • @Steel_Eyed said:

Playing with Spirit is unfulfilling but have at it.

Unfulfilling if you enjoy losing I guess.

Against amazing survivors ? Nope. I have no problems winning vs good survivors with him though. The point I'm making is. The current changes they made did not effect him in any way.

And I agree Freddy suffers from hold W meta. I've had to adapt how I play with him to deal with it. And also why I've been using nurse and blight a lot more then Freddy lately. No matter how much I love Freddy.

Do you not see the massive contradiction in what you just said? The changes didn’t affect him in any way….but the hold w meta hurts him and you play other killers now.

  • @BrokenSouI said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2317510#Comment_2317510

That just tells me you're using him wrong at even a base level then. His snares are best used camping a pallet and placing them on either side. Meaning you're not moving anyways. And it's not noticeabke. And even more to the point. You're still 4.6 the whole way up to when your snare is charged and ready to be placed. Which takes maybe a second. So chase and place is still viable and no different. The nerf did nothing to him.

Freddy was never a threat against good survivors. It has been especially noticeable with the hold W meta, but it often feels like Freddy has no power since you don’t have to loop. The changes were horrendous.

So you want me to just use up all the nearby resources instead? Want me to also walk into your mouth?

No reasonable person is upset at survivors for using their tools. It’s an issue that BHVR needs to look at and balance accordingly.

True some killer are great in an area but lack in the other that why i said the only killer who can beat all thosr style is Nurse.

I know if i play Clown im mostly going to win if the survivor try to loop but if they decide to hold W and go into a corner i will lose i dont have the mobility to cover the distance they gain and the time i lost for that now all survivor do that i lose. That why i said the only killer who beat all those strat us Nurse

Nurse still struggles with holding W, especially without range addons. The further away the survivor, the harder it is to see and predict movement.

But then again, we are at the point of Killers complaining. I have read here that even unsafe Pallets are bad for Killers, because they are still Pallets. Like, people actually get run around those Pallets on new Ormond (those between benches).

And there is some hypocrisy to complain about Survivors holding W while many Killers want to keep Bloodlust in the game, which is, at the end of the day, holding W.

I have never heard killers complain about unsafe pallets. There might be a few who do, but by and large killers complain about large god loops that have no counters. Those absolutely need to be taken out of the game.

  • @elpoh said:

well.... they could reduce every maps size and then nerf high mobility killers:

    Nurse 1 blink only

Hag to can't teleport outside the TR

    Freddy can't teleport to gens

Demogorgon portals reduced to 2 and breaks after use

Spirit phase walk speed reduced to 115%

Wraith invisible speed reduced to 130%

Blight lethal rush speed reduced to 150%

Oni demon dash speed reduced to 150%

Hillbilly chainsaw sprint speed reduced to 150%

Nurse’s map mobility isn’t good. M1 killers actually move across the map faster due to her recharge.

Sure, but I think there is more validity to killer complaints

    Yeah, definitely, 100%...

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/D2KIG08JRAVB/image.png

There truly is nothing killer can do to squash holding forward

Depends entirely on the killer you're playing. Nurse, Blight, Spirit, Billy, Hag to an extent, Wraith- they all manage it amazingly. Killers like PH, Nemesis, Clown, meanwhile, suffer.

meanwhile survivors are complaining about bad killers like Wraith and Nemesis.

    1) Wraith is not a bad killer

    2) Survivor complaints around Nemesis involve the serious RNG (Zombies), fact that his best counter is boring as hell (hold w + hold m1 on gens quickly, since his power creates damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don't scenarios, limited vaccines make solo absolute hell vs him, and the fact that facing a nemesis kills their game). I haven't seen someone say that Nemesis is too OP, but the counters are uninteractive and there's little skill involved.

Players want to be able to show off their skill, Nemesis doesn't really let them.

Wraith I kinda see why they complain but at the same time the Wraith complaints are kinda... no.

    3) You say this like there aren't also a vocal minority of killer players who complain about the hold w meta, but also the looping meta, and also stealth being boring. There aren't a vocal minority who dodge items but complain when they get no value from Franklin's, who complain about tbagging but will spend the next game tunneling, facecamping, and kebabing a rank 20 on hook.

Both sides have extremes and they're usually the vocal minority, because people don't remember the calm majority.

"But there are more complains like this with survivors-" yes because there are more survivor players, full stop. So of course the vocal minority would be larger when there are more of them overall.

Obviously there are extremes on both sides. The complaints about not being “able to show skill” does nothing for me. Survivor gameplay is based overwhelmingly on knowing tiles and loops: there is little skill involved. That’s why any time survivors are forced to think against nurse and spirit, they complain.

you say that like there aren't killers who say that holding w/genrushing is "boring" and "unfun" too.

there are entitled people on both sides who just wanna complain it is in no way survivor exclusive

Sure, but I think there is more validity to killer complaints. There truly is nothing killer can do to squash holding forward, meanwhile survivors are complaining about bad killers like Wraith and Nemesis.

A good killer will always win a chase. Only bad players enjoy anti chase powers tbh

It doesn’t matter how good the killer is if there are 15 strong pallets in the area. There’s literally no gameplay. And I would argue that going against spirit and nurse is more fun because it actually makes the survivor have to think. Base survivor gameplay is boring because you do whatever you want.

    Read: https://steamcommunity.com/app/381210/discussions/0/1607148447812100915/

In this experiment I played Wraith before all his buffs - the weakest killer that was available at that time and I had killrate of 2.9k. And I'm bad at killer, I still stomp 80% of survivors. Later I tried leveling up further, it does get harder in red ranks with Wraith, but I switched to several different killers and it became easy again. With Spirint I was stomping almost any survivor group.

But this thread is not about killer-survivor balance, it's about solo vs Swf vs Killer balance. Solo sucks not because solo survivors are bad, but because the balance is broken for solo. When I play solo my escape rate is 25%, when I play 2-man SWF without comms, it rises to 40-50%. If I play killer,I win in 70-80% of all games. Do I suddenly get better as survivor when playing SWF? I rarely play killer and I'm bad at mindgames, am I just a god-like killer? Of course not, it's just a matter of broken game balance.

Nah, it’s mostly because solo survivors are bad. As survivor, I escape very often at red ranks. While it’s true that nothing matches a coordinated SWF, 4 good solos still stomp killer. Obviously many killers are bad too, but when both sides are bad the killer typically wins.

I've never seen any complaints about slinger that say he takes no skill.

People saying “good slingers don’t miss” implies that they don’t think he takes much skill. It is actually really difficult to hit shots against good survivors.

  • @ALostPuppy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2303618#Comment_2303618

The more you try and make your movement 'unpredictable', the more distance he's covering quicker due to how his ranged attack works. This is the problem people have with him. You have no idea, nor any chance of gaining an idea, when he's gonna shoot because it's so quick. If you think he's gonna shoot (he wasn't going to but you have 0 way of knowing that), you start juking but you also very quickly start losing distance and the closer you are, the easier the shot. You don't juke and he hits you before you have time to react and with how the chain works now, you can't even fight back. I seriously don't know why they changed it to where you now can't influence the chain at all instead of having at least some influence over it. It gave him at least some idea of meaningful counterplay because you could actually get behind objects to break the chain somewhat, and the Deathslinger would have to backpedal to move you away from objects.

That is only true if you are somewhat close to him, in which case most killers will get a hit. If you have distance on him and reach a corner, he has to guess if you will juke. You can juke then run to the corner or just run to the corner.

  • @akanadi said:

death slinger is kinda like clown, meta game not so good but strong in chases and people complain about him because their skill doesn't matter the only counterplay is the death slinger missing

Or making him miss. Do you really believe that DS players are bots? If you are unpredictable with your movement, he will miss.

  • @van9684 said:

I see a lot of complaining on here about how awful and difficult it is to play killer, how unfair the game is, yet most of you are killer mains. So why is that?

I played killer only for a long time and it was just too easy. After that initial learning of the game, I never had to get better or develop new skill so I switched to survivor. I also like the teamwork aspect. So, why do you continue to play killer if it’s so bad and makes you angry?

Simple: survivor is insanely braindead and easy, so I get bored of playing it.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

This again? Something which will never happen in an actual game?

Like, tru3 does not want to do a 1v1 against Spirit because he knows that she is busted. But he wants to show something that proofs his opinion, so he plays Wraith (who is a decent Killer) against a highly skilled tournament team (again - people you will never see in public games) and he knew the result already, he is not stupid.

This has definitely happened to me in an actual game. Just because it’s rare does not mean we should ignore it. Tru also is going to face them with spirit, so idk where that conspiracy comes from.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/260253/dear-devs-stop-listening-to-otz

I agree. You won’t find honest discussion on here sadly. This is killer main central and they’ll gang up on you to say it’s your fault, your bad at the game, and statistics aren’t real. It’s every post but you’re right. Basing a game on the skill of a red rank dude who plays 8 hours a day is not healthy for the regular play base and it shows. Survivor sucks to play. It’s basically a kill simulator for killers now to get easy 4K games each round.

Using your example, why shouldn’t you be losing to someone who puts in more hours? If you were able to go toe to toe with someone who has put in more time and win, that would tell me something is very wrong with the game. You aren’t entitled to win because you own the game. People who play more than you will be better. It’s common sense.

  • @danielmaster87 said:

His dream pallets needed to be untouched when he got nerfed. They were SO WEAK and now they're even worse because you have less of them. Because according to a dev "pallets are stronger than snares". It's a joke. It's Hillbilly all over again. Any add-on that makes the killer's power different is either removed or nerfed to be unplayably bad.

A dev actually said that? It so, they are more clueless than I thought lol.

  • @Dweet_Unfairfield said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/259967/so-do-survivors-want-to-be-stronger-in-the-4v1-or-in-the-1v1

I want fun chases with the better player winning through skill and knowledge. Not one side guaranteed an advantage with 0 counterplay or skill input.

Oni, Billy, Bubba, All powerful but fun to vs.

Spirit, Slinger, Pphead = coin toss at every loop. Get zoned, die.

Fun > balance. Sweaty dbd is dbd at its worst

The problem is that there is very little skill for the survivor to show- playing survivor is all about memorizing tiles. Large and stacked loops have no counterplay for most killers, especially if the survivor plays safe. We need more killers like Nurse and Spirit because there is actual gameplay from both sides. Running from strong loop to strong loop is no fun for the killer and takes little to no survivor skill.

  • @lemonsway said:

Chase time is irrelevant in a 4v1. You can't down multiple survivors at the same time, except if you're Oni, someone will always be free and safe to do gens. With 3 hooks to kill someone it's really hard to get 12 hooks and keep gens, unless Survivors are complete potatoes.

I had a match last night as Ghostface on Hawkins where i got 9 hooks, 7 Marked Downs and 2 quick downs thanks to I'm All Ears, all short chases. I lost all the gens anyway because there was always someone free to do gens. Granted i was trying Adept so i only had Thrilling Tremors for Gen defense but i was getting Marks and downs fast and it didn't matter. Meaning Chase time doesn't matter at all, against good players even short chases are punished, against bad players even long chases are fine. Survivor efficiency trumps everything a killer can do.

This pretty much. That’s why I think even Nurse and Spirit can’t totally defeat a good team. No matter how fast you down, gens still get done.

Strength has nothing to do with whether or not a killer is fun to play against though? Take Clown for example, he's one of the weakest killers in the game and it's still a horrible time vsing him.

strength and “fun” are closely related for most people. Most of the survivors complaining about killers do so because they lose to them. Rather than thinking “how can I improve “ most hop on here and complain. Unfortunately, the devs cater to these type of people.

  • The classic “let’s nerf a bad killer” thread.

  • @ad19970 said:

Adding comms would be just bad, because at that point you'll pretty much be pushed to constantly play over comms with strangers, or you will be one of the first reasons to blame that your team lost when it loses. And I sure won't play this game via comms with complete strangers. I don't need some mentally ill person screaming into my ear every second match. I'd rather get anal bleaching.

I do think people overvalue the power gap between swf and solo survivors, because matchmaking screws over solo survivors a lot.

But the best way to close the gap is to try and buff solo survivors with aura reading abilties and other information, such as base kit kindred or base kit totem counter, so they at least get close to the level of information that swf have. But even that has it's downsides.

I don’t get how this is a talking point. Friday the 13th used voice chat and it was fine. Just mute people who annoy you.

Everyone already knows that 4 GOOD survivors on a team together is op. Finding a swf group like Oracle is extremely unlikely and is thus not a problem.

Also, I am sure truetalent is a pretty neat guy but he is hardly a top tier killer player.

This isn't true at all. I get that True can rub some people the wrong way, but to say that he is bad shows that you are either insanely biased or don't know the game. I watch all of the major streamers: True, Umbra, Otz, Scott, Bronx, and so on. They are pretty much all on the same level, which is partly a reflection of DBD's limitations. You can only be so good at the game because the game limits what you can do. The only real difference between any of them is that some slug more than others. Killer gameplay is pretty consistent among all the top streamers.

Kinda funny how you just refused to acknowledge the part where I explained that those competitive games aren't asymmetrical huh? Go ahead, show me one competitive ASYMMETRICAL game that hasn't died out and is in fact bustling with players. I've already explained why it won't work but your not listening.

I am listening just fine. Neither you nor anyone else in the community has provided evidence that asymmetrical would be different. It's just a talking point that people think justifies itself, and so it gets spammed.

  • @FrostySeal said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2286426#Comment_2286426

Because those game aren't asymmetrical are they? Look at any example of an asymmetrical game trying to be competitive and you'll see a pattern real damn quick. Look at deathgarden, BHVR's attempt at making a competitive asymmetrical game. Explain to me how that game is doing right now. Like I sad earlier, most players in this game are casual players and as such forcing the game into a competitive scene will put those players off the game which will kill most of the playerbase. Then the remaining few players will be put off by the extremely long queue times and the fact that in order to win a game of DBD now you'll have to play extremely competitively.

Scott has made a video's explaining how balancing around the top percent of DBD will kill the game fast. Watch it.

Most of the playerbase in competitive games is casual. Again, they don’t leave. This idea that balancing for top level will kill the game is baseless.

  • @FrostySeal said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2284170#Comment_2284170

Yes, I know he would've lost either way but with a more competitively viable build he could've done much better. The game should be balanced for good players, but there is a MASSIVE difference between balancing between good players and a 4 man comp SWF team that have been playing the game for years trying their hardest to win. Balancing for the 1 percent of the game would destroy the game, it would require so many changes that it would just change the game into something unrecognizable. Watch ScottJund's video on why you can't balance around the 1 percent in DBD.

I watched it. I have also been a competitive gamer for years. Balancing around top players doesn’t affect the playerbase in any other game.

  • @ScottJund said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2286157#Comment_2286157

You are proposing such drastic changes to the fundamental mechanics of DBD that its almost pointless to entertain them, unfortunately.

I think the point is that BHVR can do SOMETHING, even if it's not a redesign. Right now they are making changes that actively hurt the game and make it worse.

  • @bobateo said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2285618#Comment_2285618

The window for breaking LOS with nurse on just fatigue was pretty small. And with scratch marks, etc, it's not like survs were that hard to track post fatigue from what I've been watching. But it does seem like the only defense was breaking LOS and hoping you guessed right. I think it's understandable that players don't like 'and hope I guess right' anymore than 'and hope the cooldown isn't too punishing'. I mean, her blink was far enough to eat up distance gained by most exhaustion perks, she can go around pallets without much, if any penalty with her blink, go through windows without any slow down with her blink and take the shortest route to up or down stairs. Even at loops with high walls, there's generally two ways for survs to go, making even strong loops just 50/50s.

Don't get me wrong, I like playing against Nurse even if I hardly ever win. She can be a much more dynamic Killer to play against in a chase. However, I honestly cannot imagine what that would be like without having the window the cool down provides.

Do you think if they fixed some of the bugs that seem to be plaguing nurse that it'd make her CD less a problem?

My problem with the cooldown is that it forces her to play lame. Her map control was most impacted by the cooldown, not her chase. Now she struggles to go from place to place, which means that in most situations it is better for her to stay near the hook. I feel like the devs have absolutely no idea what they did with the change. It promotes less fun gameplay.

  • @bobateo said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2285496#Comment_2285496

So, I didn't play against or as pre-nerf nurse. I have watched some gameplay of her though from that time because I was curious. I'm not exactly sure how people are supposed to 'learn to play differently' against a Killer who can negate pretty much all survivor defenses (exhaustion perks, except maybe dead hard on occassion, pallets & windows) with that power/ability being almost on demand for the Killer & significantly enhanced by add-ons. And it seems like Omega Blink Nurse could pretty much cross the entire map with very little penalty at all. Especially with stealth getting so many nerfs for survs. I'm guess Omega Blink build had a lot to do with the prevalence of 5gen/4 slugs game outcomes with Nurse.

I completely get why people did not like/hate the cool down. I don't know if there was a better solution or if that was just the easiest one to implement.

Omega blink Nurse was definitely broken, but nothing else should have been changed. Nurse does not “negate all survivor defenses”. You can break her line of sight and force her to guess if you are going to run back or not. There is gameplay on both sides. If you watched true’s video, you’d see that killer gets absolutely no gameplay. They just instantly slam pallets and body block. The game needs to be more like Nurse and Spirit and less like holding forward/pallet sim.

  • @bobateo said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2285398#Comment_2285398

You do realize that the exact same thing can be said for people who want game play 'balanced' around the absolute best survivors, right? "Killers only want easy, thoughtless 4Ks every match and want the game catered to them because some day they might face the best of the best and not win."

I don't think it's exactly beneficial to go through the 'who got what nerfs game' except to say that no, it's not only killers getting nerfs by any stretch of the imagination.

Nurse was nerfed hard but it is still one of the supposed 2 Killers that can take on a highly skilled comp team? Wouldn't that mean she was near unbeatable before?

The reason she was nerfed before is the same reason people still want her nerfed: she plays differently and people don’t want to learn. There was no reason for her to get a recharge mechanic.

I'm not say they're exact. But the sentiment remains the same. How many survs in this game are going to reach Oracle level skills? Not very many. How many are going to not only reach that level of skill, but also have a highly coordinated group to play with? Even less. By that same token, should all Killers be balanced around the potential of Spirit & Nurse? Around the absolute best of the best Killer players? I hear a lot about how the game should be balanced around the absolute best SWF survs, and nearly nothing about Killer side. Facing an extremely good Killer is a bloodbath for average survs.

Should either roll be balanced around maps like Lery's? Should they be balanced around the worst RNG maps for surv or Killer? The best?

Let's see the flip side of a highly skilled Wraith against a decent but not the best SWF. How different is that outcome. Trying to base balance off a select few instances is not the way to go.

Except that the game is balanced around skilled killers…. Nurse was nerfed hard, as was Pyramid. The burden of being skillful and perfect is all on the killer. Survivor gets things catered to them.

I don't understand this mentality that strong players shouldn't be the point that a game is balanced around. Pro players are a very small portion of many PvP, and yet those games still usually try to balance around that very small portion of players. DBD is exempt from this because...what? Asymmetrical? More than 2 players?

Because survivors want the game to be even easier for them.

Yes but Asyms are a special case, especially one as RNG and perk heavy as DBD. Where 2 teams can get the same map and one has an even spread of pallets all over the map and the other side gets half of that only on one side.

Also, yeah, Guilty Gear Strive and Street Fighter 5 are REALLY balancing for top level players, what with the removal of one frame links from SF4 and such.

The best players still place consistently. A win in dbd is subjective, but MMR showed us that at high level, equally skilled survivors vs killers will favor survivors every time. Something can be done to help balance it, even if it’s not a redesign.

You do realize that if they balance the game around comp casual players will have no chance, right? Everyone would leave this game instantly and you will have a more killer sided game than it already is.

Fighting games are balanced for top level play and people leaving isn’t an issue. Games like MK11 and Injustice have been out half the time and have probably far outsold DBD.

if you're talking about his zoning slowdown, that was justified (and it doesn't even do much depending on your positioning to whatever you're zoning out). otherwise his cooldown on attacks is less punishing than it used to be and it rewards people who actually try to use it to hit people.

so...maybe it's you who doesn't want to learn.

His cooldown “buff” isn’t noticeable. I main Nurse. Why would i invest time into a killer who isn’t as rewarding but is instead super capped to appeal to baby survivors? I know DBD in and out. PH is a worthless killer.

Yeah I'm not sure what anyone expected. Even if he played perfectly the game just fundamentally does not work at that level. I still don't understand why people want matches balanced for these types of matches. I don't think they realize that means literally reworking the game from the ground up which will never happen.

I agree that the game probably would need to be reworked, but BHVR could still do some things to help. God tiles shouldn’t exist: there is no gameplay for killer, the survivor just imposes his/her will. Then you have nerfs to killers like pyramid head that make absolutely no sense other than catering to people who don’t want to learn.

Thing is these guys weren't just any SWF, they're a competitive 4 man SWF playing to win the game. They are extremely rare and shouldn't at all be getting judged on DBD balance. Plus, it doesn't help that Tru is using Wraith, a Killer that heavily relies on a hit and run playstyle which is extremely bad to use against people of this caliber. His build wasn't doing him any favors either, if he used a more competitive build like Rundying + Noed + haunted/retribution on a Killer that doesn't rely on that playstyle then he would've done better.

The build is irrelevant: he would have lost either way. The game needs to be balanced to prevent games like that from happening. By not balancing for good players, BHVR is pretty much saying they don’t care about people who have really put alot of time and money into their game. Why should a killer wanna play in matches that they have no chance in? There is a reason survivor que sucks.

    I mean it's nothing new.

Everyone knows at the skill ceiling survivors are the ones in charge unless you are very good with spirit or nurse, and that's only because those killers bypass a lot of chase and loop mechanics.

This game was not meant to be that competitive which is probably why they balance for brown ranks.

I don't think everyone does know this though. Just browse the forums and peep the "Nemesis is OP" and killer nerf threads. Most of this community is clueless on the game.
