Without going too far into what you think of it’s balance, describing pop goes the weasel as “easy to activate” is an absurd statement. Getting a hook is not easy, regardless of which killer you are playing. You have to outplay the survivor to get the down, and then make sure that no one is nearby for the save. Now obviously noob survivors will sometimes throw themselves at you, but that’s not wh48 comments 962 views last activity

If it weren’t already clear, the 700th round of gen defense nerfs makes it pretty clear: people don’t understand why killers run gen defense. The base speed of the game is nearly impossible for killer to win against good survivor groups. Nerfing these perks only further incentivizes camping and tunneling, which I guarantee will get worse after this update.61 comments 1,844 views last activity

With the recent Huntress changes, it got me thinking about how she is better than deathslinger in almost every way. DS has received very little attention since he was nuked a couple of years ago. addons. DS has three addons worth running (reload time, cigar) and needs help. The reduced terror radius addons are useless because they don’t reduce it enough to matter, especially since he moves so22 comments 671 views last activity

I’m not sure if they were trolling or just don’t know in regards to the pig “buffs.” She is, objectively, right now a better character than she will be after the patch. The slowdown/threat of a headpop is the best thing pig has, and it’s being severely nerfed Meanwhile they are buffing the worst part of her kit, which is still counterable by predropping and running away from the loop. I’ve been playing this game since 2018 and have close to 5000 hours total. I recently returned after break, and man has the fun been sucked out. It doesn’t matter if your chases are short. Unless you pick a section of the map to defend right at the beginning, you are going to lose if they decide to do the gens. Then there’s the killers. I tried xeno for the first time and it was an awful experie174 comments 6,237 views last activity

A common talking point I have heard in this game for years is that killers who can guarantee a hit or have answers at strong loops are “uninteractive.” Yet no one ever seems to point out that god loops are completely uninteractive for many killers. This seems like a major double standard. Imo, tiles that allow mindgames for both sides should be standard.47 comments 1,221 views last activity

Since we finally got a “practice” mode, I decided to test how fast Nurse can actually traverse the map. I tested how long it took for Nurse to blink from one end of midwich to another, and then tried this with Trapper to compare. It takes them both the exact same amount of time. Next time anyone says “but Nurse has a teleport”, remember this. Now obviously Nurse will save time on multi-level map47 comments 1,322 views last activity

Before anyone assumes, I am NOT complaining about new dead hard. I think it takes much more skill than before. After running sprint burst and dead hard between rounds, I feel like dead hard is easily the best exhaustion perk in the game. It gives you far more control than any other exhaustion perk TLDR DH is the best still, use it.9 comments 141 views last activity

Survivors now get less of a speed boost and killers spend less time wiping their weapon after a hit. This is probably the most significant change that has been made since I started playing 4 years ago. I think these changes will go a long way to killing the unbearable hold W meta that has developed. Survivors will be forced to play tiles as opposed to just holding forward. I am excited for the PT0 comments 41 views last activity

We hear over and over again how imbalanced DBD is. Most people would agree that the game is indeed imbalanced and in need of adjustments. As we have seen with some of the recent "experiments", it is possible for killer to do well at high MMR. The problem is, and what killers are not saying, is that the tactics required to do well at high MMR are not fun. Against good survivors, the killer essenti5 comments 191 views last activity

I took this from the scrub quotes twitter (follow for good laughs). TLDR: many people in gaming communities are mad that people who put in more time and are more skilled win. I feel that this mentality is toxic and infects most gaming communities, including DBD. If you can pick up the game and instantly win/dom9 comments 151 views last activity

I have seen countless threads and twitch chats talking about this killer and that killer being S or A tier. Here is the reality, based on high level play: Viable: Nurse and Spirit Non-viable: the rest of the cast Too many people base their opinions on a low level of play. The problem is that tier discussion based on people who don’t play the game at a high level is pointless. Against unoptima22 comments 241 views last activity

I suppose I could have had some bad rng, but I have played the map 4 times now since it’s rework and it seems worse than before. There seem to be more tiles for survivors to run, the main building is still a problem and, worst of all, the gen spread is impossible to defend. Does anyone else have this experience?12 comments 291 views last activity

So i’ve been thinking more about PP man lately because of his upcoming nerf. What does the cage actually give you? Unless the group is swarming you, you have no way of knowing the location of other survivors. More often then not, the survivors instasave from the cage and he gets nothing from it. Not a good look considering he is getting nerfed even further soon.12 comments 121 views last activity

I hear a lot of people saying Blight is broke, but I can't say that I see it. The map mobility is nice, but it is far too easy to counter him in the chase. A good survivor knows how position him/herself to not be able to get hit at structures/loops, which then means you are going to waste time recovering, while they get distance. Also a heads up, i'm not saying that all killers need to play l3 comments 31 views last activity

In a 4 V 1, the killer should be at a heavy advantage vs survivors in a chase. This is for the obvious reason that there are 3 other people to worry about and only so much time to catch the survivors People hate Spirit and Nurse because these are the few killers who actually have an advantage in the chase, so survivor mains don't like the feeling of having to guess. As most of the people on here know, there several perks on both sides (Pop, borrowed, DS, DH, BBQ etc...) that are really popular. The reason that these perks are good is simple:they are good in every situation. There are a ton of interesting perks such as deliverance, soul guard, red herring, and many others that are actually pretty solid, but are really situational and thus not worth bring1 comments 41 views last activity

So before anyone writes this off as a shitpost, I play both sides extensively. M1 killers have a skill cap that makes them feel unsatisfying. There is plenty to learn as a killer in DBD, but m1 killers can only do so much. The game boils down to knowing tiles, routing and red glow mind games. Once you have those, there isn’t much more to do. You straight up can’t catch survivors at some tile9 comments 141 views last activity

Pyramid used to have decent counters to the stale DS and BT meta. Now his power is essentially a worse version of Pig because survivors get more information than the killer, and could even have the cage pop up next to them. So my question is, what is the point? You save maybe 5 seconds by not hooking and that's about it. PH now pretty much has nothing except an overly difficult antiloop power. R20 comments 351 views last activity

I have been hearing a LOT of talk lately from people saying that Nurse is trash now. While I think the people who are saying she "has no counterplay" are wrong, she is clearly still strong. +Best chases in the game +High skill ceiling +Great perk synergies to get back in chases and keep pressure -Glitches that NEED to be fixed -Limited map control due to the blink recharge There are some34 comments 371 views last activity

Over the past few days, I have been playing huntress, both for rift challenges and to get adept. Post game, more than one survivor has said that Huntress is top 3 and broken (this is while i was running adept...LOL). I also see a lot of people on here talking about her being top. There is no chance she is top IMO. -no mobility: the best killers (nurse, spirit, billy) all have map control, while10 comments 281 views last activity

I have been playing survivor quite a bit lately (killer is my preferred role), which of course means that I have run into a variety of killers, many of them with NOED. Not even ONCE has NOED let the killer wipe the team out. I have been playing this game for two years and I can count on one hand the number of times NOED has given myself or other killers a sweep. The most common scenario is that t10 comments 151 views last activity

clickbait title aside, playing survivor, even after the nerfs, is incredibly chill. I play more killer than survivor, but I still reach rank 1 every month. Because of the rift, I am actually playing more survivor atm and man, why are survivor mains complaining? True, you can’t always escape due to potato teammates, but you can almost always pip or safety pip. If you are struggling/complaining on3 comments 61 views last activity

Summary: Nurse can’t blink, hooked survivor isn’t in the trial, and the game doesn’t ever end. steps to reproduce: hook survivor, and immediately try to blink. Nurse now won’t be able to blink unless she pulls someone off a gen. FPS dips. trigger the endgame collapse by closing the hatch. The game will never end after the timer stops. platform: pc (steam) frequency: whenever you try. Lag0 comments 11 views last activity

First off, this is NOT a balance discussion thread. From my experience as a red rank survivor and killer, survivors have been unbelievably bad lately. My killer games are almost always a slaughter since survivors are doing stupid things like being downed in 15 seconds or trying to gen rush while injured. When I am a survivor, I am often the only survivor in the group that can stay on their feet f15 comments 832 views last activity

First of all let me say that this thread is not trying to cry or complain. It’s just making my case as to why Dstrike is the best perk in the game and is in fact better than it used to be. The first layer: The most obvious benefit to the perk is that it stuns the killer and allows you to create enormous distance. If you have been unhooked lately, you can pretty much do whatever you want with im5 comments 212 views last activity

I’ll start Killer: Overrated- save the best for last Even on killers who can hit the obsession without m1, this perk rarely helps. Survivors still get enough speed to make a loop or pallet. Underrated- Monitor and Abuse This perk is just always good. It allows you to get a hit before the survivor can run and is especially good on one shot killers. It’s also effective for high mobility killer18 comments 352 views last activity

Lately, I have been seeing many posters and streamers talking about various aspects of DBD (spirit, NOED) as not being fun. This usually leads to people asking for nerfs. The problem is that fun is way too subjective. I, as killer, do not have “fun” getting looped and genrushed etc... but I’m not going to ask for nerfs based on that. Rarely do people have fun when they lose, which means salt sh134 comments 3,235 views last activity

Dear friends and loved ones We are gathered here today to remember a killer who could keep survivors in check. No longer will anything be able to beat good survivors (bad survivors will still lose to her, god rest their souls) crying to the devs works, so we as the assembled killer mains should use this strategy until more survivor crutches are nerfed. I’m a dedicated Nurse main who has had the chance to play quite a bit on the PTB today. Here are my thoughts: Chases: Although the nerfs certainly don’t help, her chase potential is still very strong. People like myself who didn’t use many addons will be fine because Nurse is still able to end chases fast. Addons: Terrible. Her iridescent addons are literally worthless and do nothing to help4 comments 91 views last activity

So i’ve played a few games on PC today and have had a terrible experience. First game i am spirit on the new map and literally everyone dcs. I depip. So I’ve seen alot of discussion on Jason being in DBD- i’d like to chime in. Jason and friday the 13th aren’t the same thing. If you need proof, look at this pic: I have heard that, originally the dead camper was going to have a camp crystal lake shirt, but it was removed due to licensing. what this means: F13 the game is dead because it uses camp cry7 comments 113 views last activity

First let me say, I do think that survivors are a little OP and some balancing needs to happen. I am a killer main and can play most killers at a high level. Having said that, I don’t understand why Legion is considered bad. His power slows the game down, and he has the normal killer speed for regular chases. In fact, I would say that he is definitely better than before. Pre patch legion was able26 comments 1,841 views last activity

The consensus around here seems to be that nurse is broken and unbeatable. It’s somewhat understandable, but I think people feel this way because she is different than other killers and most aren't used to dealing with her. While she can’t be looped like other killers, there are still mind games to be played, such as running back at her and most importantly, breaking her line of sight. Recently I have had a huge problem against dcs. If i am going to win, most survivors seem to know that dcing screws me over and pretty much guarantees that i will depip or neutral pip. This is super frustrating and should be addressed immediately; i’m tired of getting no reward for my play.1 comments 32 views last activity

Hello all, I’ll start by saying that I am a red rank killer main, but I also play a lot of survivor. As killer, the matcmaking feels unfair to the group that I am playing against. There are usually 1-3 rank 15-20 survivors and I absolutely destroy them. I can’t imagine that the low ranks enjoy this, and I know how unfair it feels as a high rank survivor to have your team tank and destroy any cha4 comments 122 views last activity

Hey guys so I am new to the nurse and am having fun. I hit most of my blinks out in the open, but i struggle when they are looping me around structures (tires in gas heaven, hay bales on barn) , so my question is this: do you try to blink through or around the objects to get a hit? Any strats or answers are appreciated. Thanks!2 comments 62 views last activity

Hello, all. Let me start by saying that I am by no means a pro huntress; however, I play her somewhat and I do not see why she is considered to be a great killer. On most maps, it is very difficult to even attempt a shot due to the map layout (walls, tires, etc...). Even with loops, I feel as if the time used playing mind games with the hatchet and pallets could easily be substituted for a higher11 comments 212 views last activity
