I normally don't do this but per a one time request can we get another Holly picture? 🙂
Only because BHVR game out multiple codes the other day so I can count that as multiple pics
New picture fresh off the press

Time for the old standby!

I'm pretty sure it was a breakable wall. I kicked something and it broke but since I can't see anything, maybe it's a super special breakable locker that is hiding up there :D
-
I had zero idea that there was a breakable wall up there until I accidentally ran into it and saw that I could break something
On the top floor especially where that generator spawns, it is literally pitch black. I'm honestly not sure how no one noticed that at BHVR...

Extremely broken, base speed is one of the strongest stats on the game, thats why subtle hackers are so hard to catch or loop, add to that your suggestion has no way of fighting back against the speed up since is not longer a Hex.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2995143#Comment_2995143
Because its a 5% after all gens are done, its just the "participation prize", this change would be a 4/6/8% after 2/3/4 gens for the rest of the game, which is big.
I misread it, I thought the speed boost was for after the gens completed (NOED and hooks just determining how zoomy you get to be at the end game).
Then yeah, this rework to me isn't going to work. That would be such an insanely delicate balance that I don't see how you could possibly balance it. Have it a little too slow and it's worthless. Have it just a little too fast and nobody has a chance against it. Which wouldn't be so hard if you then didn't have to do that balance 28 times at the same time (since a speed boost on Myers is going to be very different than a speed boost on Nurse which will be very different than a speed boost on Bubba)
-
I can't imagine most people run NOED because it let's them walk faster...

I have played with moronic console players who have no idea what they're doing. I have played with moronic PC players who have no idea what they're doing. I have played with Godlike console players who makes their opponent look silly. I have played with Godlike PC players who makes their opponent look silly. I have played with good console players who were competent enough at the game. I have played with good PC players who were competent enough at the game.
Really the only drawback the console has that PC doesn't is that aiming hatchets/knives is a pain in the ass but even then, once you've done it enough times and have it down, there's really no difference between the two. I suppose a few little things that are a little harder on console (like Boil Over is hell on the console and a mild inconvenience on PC based on what I've heard from PC Players) but overall in terms of skill, there are skillful players on both sides and awful players on both sides.
This whole "PC vs Console" player "debate" is stupid.

Keep in mind too that there is a new killer, which traditionally bumps the killer queues up as everybody want to play as the new spooky boi
I actually kind of like this time because it let's me play a bit more as a survivor in the evening time without having a long queue time. I traditionally play a lot more killer than survivor just because of the time I play (if I had to guess, a 65/35 split; I am not purely a killer player but I certainly play more killer than survivor) so it's kind of nice to get a bit of a killer break.

Beginning early next week

I can't prove it but I'm pretty sure BHVR specifically follows me around and messes with the map selection just to make me go crazy.
I don't know what I did to deserve it but in fairness, I probably do deserve it

I played as him when I first got him a few times in a row and now he's just kind of in my normal killer rotation (where I play whoever I fancy at the moment). Right now Dredge doesn't get picked very often because I don't have a ton of stuff unlocked for him (I've put about 3 mil BP into him but a lot of the perks like BBQ and Oppression that I like to run haven't come up yet).

I disagree with the idea that his chainsaw stopping on a downed survivor makes him a worse Hillbilly. His tradeoff in relation to Hillbilly is that he can't sprint across the map, but his chainsaw doesn't miss like it does with Hillbilly. He can pre-rev and catch up to someone rather than having to back rev them and be super precise. His current ability to get multiple downs off one chainsaw flurry is simply a bonus, and it isn't the sole thing that he does better than Hillbilly.
Like I said to the other guy who said that on Page 1, we'll have to agree to disagree on that.
The Dropoff of power that Bubba would get would be immense and I'd much rather have the Billy at that point where I can zoomy across the map whenever I want. It might be a touch harder to hit survivors with the chainsaw as Billy than it would be with Bubba but that zoomy tradeoff would be far more useful than a slightly easier chainsaw ability.
If they made Bubba's chainsaw stop on contact, I'd personally see zero reason to ever play as him again when Billy's would be so similar yet so much stronger for map traversal.

Also, mandatory cat tax. Moosh is a ragdoll and a big boi. He had a spate of vet concerns earlier this year, and let me tell you, this cat was not having this whole 'crate' idea. Luring with treats or his favorite brush didn't work - you had to pick him up while someone else held his legs in place so he couldn't kick (and splay them wider than the crate door.) That was not a fun month.
Had to bow out halfway through this post because he wanted cuddles :3c
Your reasons for bowing out are acceptable. Please give the cat the necessary pets until they are satisfied

My cat was a Mainecoon so he was a big kitty, like nearly the same size as my beagle. Here's old pic of them laying side by side snuggling.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/H6L4ZPNRGX86/20220610-144621-jpg.jpg
I didn't like the fabric carriers - way more expensive and I didn't want to deal with zippers getting stuck. I went with the plastic carriers and the ones that are generally for cats (xx-small and x-small) were WAY too small for my cat that was long and 20 lbs. I've seen people use those crates for big kitties and I just feel so bad for them. The size difference generally is pretty big between x-small and small for the crates - I used a small and it was so roomy for him and he was so comfy in there. Here's a pic of him hanging out in his crate. Can see he had pretty decent amount of space.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/7NAHD9499ZTG/20220610-145527-jpg.jpg
With older kitty will definitely take more effort and patience than it does with a kitten but it is definitely doable.
Holy Hell, that is a big crate (and a big kitty! I know Mainecoon's are one of the biggest domestic breeds you can get) :D
This is her on the way to my house with my Dad's crate. I don't have a picture her in her crate but her crate is slightly smaller (like...maybe an inch lower).
So she's snug in there but she can move and whatnot if she wants to. I also right now have a little bed in there but I might remove the bed and put one of her blankets in there instead. I think the bed is taking up too much space...

That should be a forum rule somewhere 🤔
I'm doing my part!
(Although generally I only do it in code threads. They rarely ever stay on the first page for very long and I noticed that The Internet really likes cats so I started posting pictures of Holly in them and now I sometimes get tagged in the threads creation as people now expect Holly to show up :D)

Weirdly enough, I've found that a lot of TTVs are easier to go up against
I suppose yes there are some that are just try-hard peeps doing their best to get through asap but those are boring games that no one wants to watch. Many streamers I've noticed essentially handicap themselves because they're trying to do things that look cool but waste time (like moon walking everywhere) and I've ran into some where they made baffling decisions but when I watched their stream, it was a "challenge" (like a Can't Use Pallets challenge).
To each their own I guess though

My sister lived in the same town as me when I got my old cat as a kitten so I would bring him with me there when I'd go over her place, which was pretty often. Her cats didn't like him but her ferrets loved him (they were like same size when he was a kitten) so he would have a good time going over there. I think being able to take him somewhere with me when I left the house made him think "if I go in here she won't leave me behind" 😂
He loved his crate, saw it as like his safe space. I used one that was bigger than most use for cats so he had room to stretch out. It helped when one time at my old apartment there were manholes exploding nearby due to an underground gas main fire - they were causing the building to shake and we lost power so we decided we weren't going to stick around to see if it got worse, my cat went straight in his carrier when I called him over and we were able to just take off.
That's something I also wonder about (crate size). Like...the crate she has is supposed to be her size. She can't stand in it or anything without brushing the top but it's not completely cramped where she can't move.
Some say that's exactly what you want (kind of like a box, they feel safe and secure when it's "cozy"). Holly has never been into boxes or anything like that, she's definitely more of a Jungle Cat than a Cave Cat (back to my boy JG, a Jungle Cat likes to sit up high and survey the land and see predators so they can run/react accordingly where a Cave Cat likes to burrow and be in tight spaces to stay hidden from predators).
So part of me wonders if getting a bigger crate would help. This one is big enough that it does have a little bed in it and whatnot. I figure I need to do my treats thing for a while and see how it goes. The next vet appointment is now early July so I have a month to get her good with this crate. As you stated, in a moment of emergency, I really don't want to have to worry if I can get Holly into her crate.
I don't need her to be see it as her home (I think she might be too old at this point for that particular habit, even if she did like small cramp spaces) but I really want to feel safe that if we need to go right this instant, she won't fight me. It is nice to now though that at least anecdotally, I know someone who actually did have this success (JG talked about it in his video but it just seemed...kind of unrealistic to me but if you got your kitty cat to do it, no reason to think I can't get Holly to).

She's soooo cute. Keep her carrier out even when you're not taking her places and put treats in her carrier so she gets more comfortable with it. If she only sees it when she goes to vet she's going to bolt moment she sees it. If it's just normally out and gives her tasty treats she'll be like "it's my treat box that sometimes brings me to bad place" 😂
That's kind of what I do but I think I need to up my efforts. It is currently under the table where her heated bed is (so like...it's out but it's not really "out" because there's no reason she'd go there. She doesn't bolt when she immediately sees it though) so I think I'm going to move it out to maybe just the middle of the damn living room so she really gets used to it.
I had been giving her her "Jackpot Treats" as Jackson Galaxy calls them (these GoGurt lookin tubes of meat) in the carrier but I haven't done that in months. I didn't really have any rhyme or reason for giving her those treats so I just kind of stopped giving them to her so I might need to get a pattern of some kind to get her more treats AND put them in the carrier to get her comfortable with going in without me having to force her.
It was actually a different JG video I saw that makes me really want to make sure she sees the crate as not only a good place but a place to actively go to if she's scared or whatever. Today, if we were leaving because everything was on fire and not to bring her to the vet, she'd have been toast. And while I am currently irked at kitty, I do not want a toasted kitty :(

I'm currently mad at Holly because she was SUPPOSED to go to the vet this morning so I could get her shots and finally ask a vet the questions I really want to ask (since Holly is my first time kitty, I have questions about diet and what weight she should be at and what is best to feed her, etc etc etc). She wouldn't go into her crate, bolted, and hid under my bed and I had to cancel the appointment because even her super treat didn't coax her out again.
But I am contractually obligated to provide a Holly pic when codes are posted so here's a picture of her but the least adorable I could make her look
Yeah, I'm talking about you! You lil #########...

When the devs did their new animation, they specifically stated that they made adjustments because they wanted to make sure the T-Bag animation looked and felt good
They've made their thoughts on their players being jerks to each other perfectly clear. Basically if it's not slurs or death threats, it's not toxic and just "part of smack talk"

Fair. Was the best idea i had. Seems good in practice for actual facecamping, but like you said if the bubbas any distance away the BT could just tank the saw. Was just throwing the idea out there.
Which is fine, I'd honestly love for someone to come up with an idea that I can't poke a hole through because it is something that would be wonderful for BHVR to fix :)

It would bring him closer to Billy. But that would be fine. The reason to use him over Billy is just easier to use. I can sweep around a tile/loop just fine. Curving with Billy is harder
I guess that's an "agree to disagree" thing.
While you're not wrong, they would still be a little different, to me the incredible amount that you would nerf Bubba would make him just a considerably worse version of Billy. You're not wrong that there is still a slight difference in power and Bubba is easier to use even in this situation, the drop in ability would be so great that I would see no real reason to ever use Bubba over Billy if you had it so that the chainsaw would only hit one survivor and stop dead.

Hmm. If the bubba is really facecamping though wouldn't the saw always down the unhooker first because of unhook invincibility on the survivor being unhooked? So the only way the BT user could block the saw fast enough is if bubba misstimed it? You did read it correct though!
It's hard to say for sure. In theory, I believe you are correct in that if you are face camping (actual face camping), you'd always hit the unhooker first but DBD does weird things sometimes when it comes to who gets hit first.
I suppose I've never facecamped with Bubba (well that's not true, I facecamped one person, a subtle cheater and I was making sure they weren't getting away to keep doing their subtle cheating crap but no one tried to save them so I never had to chainsaw them) so I'm more concerned with when I watch a unhooker run to the hooked and save them in my face when I haven't been allowed to take three steps from the hooked person. So I guess with your idea, I'm less concerned with people who are actually face camping and more concerned with the "side effects" of punishing innocent Bubbas who are just coming back to the hook to chainsaw someone farming a fellow survivor.

I did have one. Doesn't really stop it but might help if bt does get a basekit version. "The chainsaw animation stops on hit if it does not down the survivor" so to all normal cases this wouldnt change anything. But if bubba tries to chase through BT. (Which he currently can hit with the saw and catch back up especially using the speed addon) then the chainsaw will just act like a normal hit and the survivor can boost tf away. Forcing a trade at least at hook where bubba cant just hit the unhooker and the BT and just chase the survivor whos deep wounded with his chainsaw sweep and down them again.
Damn, I actually just thought of that one and I was just about to edit my response. I still will edit it but I feel dumb for forgetting one :D
If the chainsaw stops when you hit just one survivor, you now have a Billy except a far worse version. Why would you ever play a killer like Bubba where he has the exact same power as Billy except he can't zoom across the map like a rowdy toddler on a sugar rush in a candy store?
For your particular thing (assuming I understand it right), that goes into my "Don't let him chainsaw people off the hook thing". BT blocking is annoying enough as it is and if you make it so that the chainsaw stops when you hit a BT person (because it would stop when you hit a survivor that it doesn't down if I understand you correctly, right?), that's going to make BT Blocking even more annoying than it currently is.
-
While I haven't seen every single post ever, I have yet to hear a suggestion to nerf it that wouldn't absolutely cripple him and/or be pointless
"Don't let him rev when he's next to the hook!" Then he either stands just outside that range camping (like how Pyramid Head's camping the cages will stand 6 meters away when 5 meters is the distance to teleport survivors away; also note I don't know the exact number so that meters is my guess, not the actual number) or you make the distance so far away that you essentially take away his power (Bubba moves at 5.2 m/s when chainsawing per charge so at the very least, his powers have to be disabled for 10+ meters if you wanted to make it so he can't use his power next to the hook and that's one charge).
"Don't let his chainsaw down people when they get off the hook!". Great, like bodyblocking with BT isn't a big enough pain in the butt in normal play, now you want people to be able to just bodyblock Bubba when they get taken off the hook for however long you decide to make this (since it would have to be a time limit, not getting hit like BT since if you play your cards right with Bubba, you can chainsaw your way through BT).
"Make it so he can't use his chainsaw period when within X meters of the hooked survivor!" See the devs making the timer pause when camping with any killer when they did that big test. Shocker, it was abused to hell by SWFs who would purposefully loop their own teammates.
EDIT: Forgot a common one. Silly Tippy!
"Make it so that the chainsaw can't chain hits (so once you down someone with the chainsaw, the chainsaw stops, preventing Bubba from being able to mow through the unhooked and the unhooker)". If the chainsaw stops when you hit just one survivor, you now have a Billy except a far worse version. Why would you ever play a killer like Bubba where he has the exact same power as Billy except he can't zoom across the map like a rowdy toddler on a sugar rush in a candy store? You'd cripple the only thing that makes Bubba different from Billy (chaining chainsaw hits) and turn him into Billy except worse.
It is something that probably needs looking at but I have yet to hear a way to make it so that it doesn't either completely cripple the character, is super abusable, or both.

I can't say I've noticed it more as a survivor but I know as killer I've put it on more and more basic m1 killers. Just tired of cocky survivors taunting me for the five minutes it takes them to genrush through the game as fast as they can.
It turns into a nice insurance plan. If they fly through, I can usually get at least one kill out of it. If they don't, I can choose to let them all go if it's been a good match and I feel like it.

I have a squirrel feeder back there (you can see it next to the squirrel) because like everything else in my life, it now revolves around making Holly a happy kitty and happy kitties love backyard animals. I also setup a bunch of bird feeder stuff in the front yard for the same reason (though the stupid squirrels keep going after that too! I tried cayenne pepper but after macing myself for a second time, I'm going to buy squirrel hot sauce instead. Birds can't taste heat so it's supposed to be too hot for squirrels).
