You don't deserve gen grabs. If they're not paying attention they get grabbed. Spine Chill doesn't change that. All it does is give a consistent effect. As for the rise in people running Spine Chill. You can blame the Spirit players for that.
-
People already did this to complete dailies. Granted it does increase the number of times this will happen.
-
Everyone knew that the free track would offer less. How much less was a bit jarring though.

And people were saying the new medkit sucks…
Considering they nerfed almost every addon I'd say they due.

What do you expect them to do? I don't like camping either. But realistically there's nothing they can do about it.

Which is strange because Inner Strength isn't meta....
Out of 5 matches today 4 had Iron Maiden. Not sure what's going on but apparently killers got the memo that Inner Strength is OP.
That or everyone's afraid of Head On.
Not really OP. I actually think it's really good and fairly balanced.
-
No idea. To be fair though, it's hard to say what feed back they're getting for sure.
-
Why is the retort always about a killer being bullied? OoO was a high risk, high reward kind of perk. You took the risk of giving the killer perfect information in exchange for perfect information on them. Which is not to say that toxic people didn't use it. They absolutely did. But it wasn't like the killer was left helpless. As for the new iteration, just disable it when a killer is in stealth.

@Mochan said:
It was never removed, so what is this about it being "brought back?"
It really should have been removed everytime there is an event with special hooks.

The lie detector test determined THAT was a lie. Survivors do it regardless of how the killer played in game. If you make it to the exits, just leave. Stop holding the game hostage for extra points and grandstanding and move on.
Some do it for ignoble reasons. Others like myself wait to make sure others are safe.
-
Not really. I didn't really get them before. I definitely won't now.

They're not going to buff something they just buried.

?
The PTB worked EXACTLY as intended in this case. They made changes to Syptic / Syringe. Put them on PTB to test if they were balanced. Made changes accordingly.
In this case, there was no counterplay. If you saw someone pop a medkit in your face as a killer you'd deduce that it were with one of those 2 addons. The problem was that both of those had 2 very different and opposing counterplays.
The counter to Syptic was waiting 15 seconds for "Endurance" (Borrowed Time) to run out. The counter to Syringe was downing them quickly (within 8 seconds). There was no mindgame. It was a straight up 50/50, coin toss, guessing game. If you assumed it was one when it was the other then you just gave the survivor an extra health-state + speedboost. There was no way of knowing which it was until you swung. Now there is legitimate counterplay as opposed to being a coin toss; downing the survivor in the precise window of 8-16 seconds.
Man, this community really has an issue with at least ATTEMPTING to see things from both perspectives.
Yeah. Why would you expect to get a benefit from a very rare or ultra rare addon.

He can be very annoying to go against because of how inconsistent revealing him is sometimes.
At least that's the only thing i hate when going against GF.
Other than that he's pretty fun to go against imo.

Survivors DC against any killer they deem "unfun" can't wait to see all the NuRf GhOsTfAce threads popping up once Spirit and Freddy are nerfed (I can understand Spirit but Freddy? I mean c'mon seriously, Nerf Freddy 2: Electric Boogaloo?)
@FairP1ayer said:
I hate going against Ghostface because players tend to use him like Wraith Aka Tunnel and or camp the whole game. His reveal mechanics also make getting exposed feel cheap so he 200% needs a bigger cone for revealing him.
And he's really bad about tunneling and camping.
I don't believe people want him nerfed. They want his detection to work properly.
Pretty much why I hate him.

The purple one is now counterable by the killer and the pink one now requires at least some skill from the survivor (do not get hit for 16 seconds - which is totally doable).
I don't see a problem with that. Bonus health states should be the exception and require some skill, not be free.
You were paying 6,000 blood points for a one time use Bt. I think that was perfectly fair. There was no reason to cut the time in half. As for the needle. It's not even close to being worth 7,000 blood points. It really wasn't worth it when it was 8 seconds. But at least it was a fair compromise. No they're both trash addons. I never ran them before because they felt kind of cheap. Now I won't because they suck.
-
Tinkerer gives zero terror radius when a gen hits 85%. Not quite the same thing. But very similar. Dark sense gives you aura reading for each gen and for everyone on the last gen. Again not quite the same. But similar enough to make those two a bit redundant. I like your concept though.
-
I like the concept and his first power. Not sure about the second power. As for the perks. The first two basically already exist. The third is kind of busted.

I run self-care, because I can't always find teammates to heal me up. In fact, they sometimes run away from me when I'm trying to get healed. So, I just run self-care, so I don't have to worry about that if it happens.
I don't like to bring a med kit, because I think it makes it easier for the killer to spot you with the big red box. I could be wrong, because I don't play killer too much.
I'd recommend either Bond to find your teammates or Inner Strength. They both work better than Self Care at this point.

It's weird, 'cause I think they implemented the points for the obsession dying at the same time they changed Dying Light to no longer require tunneling the obsession. Very backwards. The only thing I can think of is it's there for when a random survivor is chosen to be obsession because someone brought DS, so there's some poor Dwight running only Deja Vu marked as the obsession who gets tunneled out because the killer still thinks in the old-school way that obsession = toxic player.
It's strange, when I screw around running only one perk like Deja Vu or Slippery Meat on a survivor, my chance to become the obsession seems to skyrocket.
Yeah I'm not sure on when that was implemented.
-
Yikes.

Seconded.

None of the obsession perks now promote tunneling at all, except MAYBE remember me. All of Myers perks makes him want the obsession to stay alive, or makes him want to ignore the obsession. Rancor gives the obsession aura reading all game, and is only actually detrimental to the obsession at the very end. Really... being the obsession is preferred.
I know. I don't know when they implemented the points for the obsession dying. That's why I thought it might be connected to dying light.

If they're the obsession, they get points for dying... Dumbest thing ever.
My guess is it was to compensate for when you got tunneled down because of dying light. Though yeah, still a bit weird.

Currently Spine Chill.

I suicide on the hook, i admit it.
But usually it has nothing to do with the killer or his perks.
Instead, it has to do with my fellow survivors (note that i play solo most of the time).
Its not uncommon in sologames to have other survivors lose the killer not by juking, but bringing him to you (and i mean by purpose, not by accident), unhooking you without bt the moment after you were hooked (the killer is standing there and not even hitting them, he is waiting for you to be unhooked), bodyblocking you so the killer gets you instead of them, making noise intentionally while you do whatever to notify the killer, and such.
A lot of surivors a very toxic, and i dont want to play with such people. DC is forbidden, suicide is not.
Solution: Be a decent survivor, dont only think about yourself, and dont mess up your fellow survivors.
That's been my point. Hook suicide happens alot due to teammates.
-
Or just play the game and do your best.
-
Wasn't the only play testing done on dedicated servers? Servers that are #########. Maybe calm down and see how it plays not on dedicated servers before having the pity party.
-
I slug the person that was unhooked and chase down the farmer. I will not just rehook the one who got farmed. The only exception would be if they were toxic to me.

Bond I find is a HUGE timesaver. I see if my teammate is working on a gen, cleansing a totem, going for the unhook, ect. I now know, a gen is over there, If my teammate gets chased off, I can break that totem and the guy on the hook doesnt need me, help is already on the way.
It is great.

I tried inner strength, but eventually figured... with ironwill, I dont feel like healing is an EMERGENCY that needs to be handled right away. With bond, it helps cover any healing needs (as well as many other uses) if I dont have a medkit in my hands

Bond is a better healing perk than Inner Strength!
Bond makes my rotation. I like Inner Strength for the time it saves. Adrenaline also makes it in if I keep having games where I'm hooked on last gen.

Been using Spinechill, Bond, ironwill and fixated lately. I suck at chases, expecially against Spirit, so... being able to completely avoid them is nice. They just waste so much time looking for the guy who keeps working on this gen. Kick the gen, look around the general area, go to leave and realize...the gen isnt even sparking anymore...#########, lol.
Spine Chill, Iron Will, Inner Strength, and the forth varies for me.

Had a game last night with an afk nurse. My teammates all found the nurse, started a chase by running in front of her and vaulted a thrown down pallet to get points.
In all seriousness though, I wish more points were given for SAFE unhooks. I dont think you should get ANY points if the guy is downed 0.5 seconds after his feet hit the ground. Get the full amount as a safe rescue, and it may encourage people to be smarter, or even take a hit if need be.
I always try for a safe unhook. Unfortunately at end game you have to be less picky. You either let them die, or try to take the hit. My altruism emblem got wrecked in a match early because of that. It's to the point that I'm going to have to level up Bill for Borrowed Time.

No, I'm just going to leave. It's not a big spectale or anything but I can't play this game anymore if the only killer who's got an answer is not going to have it anymore.
If I want to play frustration sim I'll boot up DbD again but I play games to have FUN not stress sweat for 4 minutes while survivors be toxic and abuse the game.
Every survivor that's ever complained about a killer is told to git gud and adapt. I do feel for you. But Nurse was broken.

The survivor point gains are just funny imo.
-throws down every pallet on the map- MASSIVE POINT GAIN!!!
-insures the unhook you just did was actually SAFE-... heres 500
They really don't make sense. Repair 3 full gens by yourself. Here's 3,700 points.

@GrootDude said:
The question you should be asking is: Do survivors get enough bp? If the answer is no then suggesting ways to increase the bp survivors get would be a good thing to do.
Exactly.
Killers tend to get more points because their scoring categories all work together. Survivors on the other hand are competing for points in two out of the four categories. Add in the ridiculously low amount of points some things give you and naturally survivors get much less.

I never said it wan't possible to get to rank 1 without add-ons as a killer, in fact you can do the same with survivor.
My point is you have "free" options to get items and add-ons as a survivor but you do not have those options as killer, hence more BP for killers.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/793798#Comment_793798
I'm with you on the fact that the DBD grind only gets worse with each new character release (the new Bloodweb sort of helps...sort of) and I am not against either side gaining more BP. I was simply explaining why it is that killer currently gets more (as a means to balance item/add-on economy). If they decided that every match they wanted to give both sides more BP I'm all for it but if survivors started making the exact same as killer each match then I would question their plans to balance the discrepency with add-ons/items.
As for my argument about items/add-ons "not applying" I have to say that simply because YOU do not use items does not make the fact that there is a add-on/item economy difference any less true.
I rarely use items as a survivor (unless I have a daily) but I often run Plunders 3 and Ace in the hole. I have gotten so many skeleton keys and various other green/purple items (for free) simply thanks to these perks. Do I think this is a bad thing? No. However I can easily say I have amased a few houdred thousand BP worth of items from these perks that I never spent a single BP on. As a killer I cannot do this. If I want add-ons I have NO other choice but to spend BP and for this reason I am forced to spend these points and hope to RNG that I get what I want.
Edit: I just wanted to say that in no way do I want anything written here to seem like I'm being "negative/yelling" at either of you. Sometimes (especially when in dissagreement) people can read a wall of text as though the person writting it was specifically being mad or upset with the reader. I am simply saying my peace and you may take or refuse whatever you will. Just figured I'd write this in as sometimes a seemingly normal conversation can come off as "toxic" to some. ^.^
Which only reinforces more blood points for survivors being a good thing.
