Yes, popular response, but doesn't actually make any damn sense.
What, you think we meet up at our Killers Convention and say, "Alright, what time you all wanna queue up every day?"
"Jimmy suggests nighttime? Sounds great. For all of you on the other side of the planet, try to remember when our nighttime is."
Or, it's because kids are out of school and playing in the evenings. Most of who are going to play survivor with their friends. As for players on the other side of the world, unless a VPN is in use you would never play against them. So it has no effect on que times.

Its true that there are some killer which dont like dcs bc it makes the match boring. But there are also many who dont care and some like it when survivor dc.
I meant if the entire team did it. Over, and over again. Sure, some killers would be happy. The majority would get bored fast though.

Are you really using a video from a streamer who thinks blood lust needs removed to defend blood lust?

well its probably the mains i play i main billy oni and blight which suck to play haddonfield on, and its the devs fault imo no map should have infinites
So basically you're mad because the speed bros are bad on Haddonfield. Because there aren't any infinite loops in the game.

No, she's broken. She does NOT take that much learning or skill. A mouse and keyboard definitely helps. Sure, a bad Nurse will perform way worse than a bad Spirit, but a good Nurse outperforms a good Spirit by miles. You're talking about a killer whose power is moving fast, vs a killer whose power is noclipping, and saying "moving fast is stronger". Like... what?
No. I'm talking about a killer I can see and learn to anticipate vs. one where I hope they aren't just standing still.
-
Because Nurse actually feels like she earns her wins?

Spirit's recovery is 15. Legion's is 20 (24 if you include the fatigue)
I must have mixed up her addons. Still, his cooldown is excessive.

His whole power forces Survivors to split up and do separate gens.
That's a fundamental design flaw.
Smart survivors will do this anyway.
-
I actually don't think Legion is that bad. Reduce the fatigue by 1 second. Remove basic attacks draining the power bar. Cut the FF recharge on half. Spirit has an 8 second recharge for a much stronger power. Meanwhile Legion's is 20 seconds for some reason. Doing these things won't make them S tier, but they'd definitely help.

Actually, it would punish bad survivors the most. Not that I necessarily think it's the best solution, predropping and holding W needs addressing in a proper manner.
With killers like Doctor what else can you do really? Doc, PH, and Slinger can't be looped. All that's left is to run.

People who bodyblock you in a corner so you're forced to heal them, instant DC, if you wanted a heal, you shouldn't have been a prick about it.
Item stealers, thanks to them i don't trust my teammates anymore, find your own chest.
People who dont to let me heal them when i have WMI (exception is when there's a good reason)
that one prick who gloats in endgame after being so useless he probably would have gotten a safety pip in brown ranks
To be fair, I never notice the WMI icon. So they might not have noticed.
I'd say when I can see you constantly crouching in terror. The curse of running Bond is the elevated blood pressure. Also when I have Kindred. You saw where the killer went, you can see each other, stop hiding and save my ass already.

yeah, i think the game aint have enough killer players so the daily rituals are a way bhvr can get more people and speed up queue times, survivor dailies are defiantly more rare
From my experience, obviously that's a drop in the ocean, I've noticed my dailies seem to go based on which side I've been playing. If I've play mostly survivor, I get killer dailies. If I've played mostly killer, I get survivor dailies.
@topic I disagree that if you play one side you're entitled. You will probably have a bias towards that side, but we all have a bias. It's impossible to see things perfectly evenly. Our experiences will always color our opinions.

Once again those are updates and most of those don't benefit the killer any at all or only that one killer
Yeah, that's how most QoL changes work. Bit by bit, making things better.
@Bonquiqui414 said:
For real though. I see so many survivor complaints about pallets and windows but nobody cares when killers say grabs has been bugged for almost a year by now, or gen regression sucks, weapon attack cooldown, FOV, just minor stuff that killers have to go through.
Who said nobody cares about grabs being wonky? Personally I think the regression rate is fine, but there should be automatic 10% regression from a kick. There's nothing wrong with weapon attack cooldown. The FoV is fine.

This is a great point. Killers have been buffed constantly and survivors have been nerfed constantly.
If there is a shortage of killers it is because the role is too ez and not challenging. When the game was more fair killer queues were abysmal.
But it really is exaggerated because most of the time survivor queues are very instant and killers have to wait. It only changes at certain times of the day. It is a false rumor that killers are not wanting to play because it is too hard. Killers should stop saying that.
Killer is hardly too easy. It is however the easiest it has ever been.
@leafninja said:

Easy. A mode where the killer can have a friend to play with them while showing them the ropes and killing survivors. Simple
I wish there was a sandbox mode. Something where you load a map and just experiment with the killers power.

QoL changes would go a long way (such as reintroducing the ability to hear footsteps in chases/nerfing IW so that it does what it says it does), as would a harsher restriction on matchmaking.
Given the Wraith, Demo, and Clown buffs i think the QoL changes are already being implemented. I can speak to the footsteps part, my hearing isn't the best. As for Iron Will, has it be doing more than masking the sounds of pain again?
-
@MadLordJack said:
Yeah, the lack of killers at higher ranks is going to be the death of this game if the Devs don't do something. It's making the whole matchmaking system go insane and forcing new players against veterans even more than normal.
What do you want them to do? They've slowly but steadily been nerfing survivors and buffing killers for years now. Yes, you could point to the small nerfs killers like Freddy have gotten, but the overall trend has very much been a buff. Mind you most of those changes were needed in my opinion, but honestly how much more do killers want?

They're wasting 4 other players time. ######### them. 3 survivors get an instant loss and a killer gets a very boring game.
And most of the time it's because of the other 3 survivors, so I personally don't care about their game at that point.

Then I don't think we're disagreeing on anything. Teammates that aren't even trying to do anything and are just waiting in the corner of the map for everyone to die are a totally valid reason to bail a game. Odds are you're going to die on hook anyway. I just didn't quite know what you meant by useless - in the past, I've seen people use the excuse that their teammates went down too quickly in a chase for the game to be winnable, or suicide because somebody (likely accidentally) brought the killer to their gen and they went down for that.
I certainly would not slug a player asking me to kill them in a game where I can't find anyone doing gens.
As long as they're trying I will hang in there, even if I know we've lost. If not then there's no point in staying.
-
@Laluzi said:

It depends on the timing. If somebody runs up to me at the start of the game and points at a hook, they're just trying to get out of the game. I'll oblige them in case something RL came up, but take it easy on everyone else for the rest of the game. If it happens in the middle of the game, then there's a greater chance for them to have a gameplay reason to exit the game beyond "I don't like this killer" - and that's if I haven't observed strange/facepalm-worthy behavior from their teammates, since I've already scoped out the match a bit by this point. And if it's at the end, it's usually a surrender or a pity/thank-you kill. No, I don't know, but I can make decent inferences.
That said, there are a lot of people who will rage-suicide if one bad thing happens at the start of the match (like a teammate cleanses HG and they get instadowned for it, or Myers traps someone in a corner and 99s EW3), and I don't support that either. Suiciding because your teammates are all urban evading potatoes is just saving yourself an agonizing few minutes, but you've gotta confirm that they are in fact useless and didn't just get caught off guard/out of position, or you're just as bad of a teammate as they are.
I'm not referring to if they go down fast or mess up. Well all do that plenty. I'm talking about when I'm running Bond and Kindred and can watch them doing nothing.
I have plenty of tolerance for teammates being bad. We all have bad games. I might be frustrated, but I'm not going to hang them out to dry for that. What I won't tolerate anymore is when they won't do anything useful.

I'm gonna be honest, while I'm against griefing/acting in ways specifically to annoy other players in nearly every other circumstance, suiciding on hook is a cheap attempt to bypass the DC penalty for quitting a game. I see no problem in punishing players for doing it, because they're already screwing over everyone else on their team; it's not an unprovoked action. If the community wants to discourage selfish plays, great. It's not that different in my eyes than when a killer is chasing two people, the person in front drops a pallet that traps the person behind, and the killer chooses to ignore the closer player to get the sandbagger. It's vigilante justice aiming to discourage the behavior.
If the player wants to die because they have to get off the computer and do something, it doesn't matter whether they're slugged or killed ASAP. If the player wants to die so they can fish out a match against a killer they like better, they get a pseudo MM penalty to replace the one they're trying to evade.
The vast majority of people who suicide on hook do so because their teammates are useless. When they refuse to touch gens and just cower around the map why do I care about screwing them over?
-
Okay, no more complaints about killers if we can have no more complaints about survivors.
-

Half the time people give up because their teammates are bots and make baffling, game-ending decisions. Fix matchmaking/ranking/MMR/whatever so that people actually go in the ranks they belong in, and this phenomenon would reduce.
Exactly.
@gibblywibblywoo said:
If I get a player that clearly gives up as killer I go out of my way to slug them. If you want to screw your teammates over you're either waiting those 4 minutes or enjoying a nice matchmaking cooldown. :)
So you decide to waste their time just to be petty. How brave of you.

Key spawn rates are bugged to be the same at base as when you're running Plunderers.

Midwich & Hawkins are excellent maps. Some survivors just can't deal with the lack of loops in Midwich and need to understand stealth & awareness should be your priority so pallets aren't all gone early game
Those maps are utter trash.

Spine Chill is literally one of the strongest perks in the game. It counters already weak killers completely and makes vaulting even easier + more efficient.
Try fighting a survivor team who are all using spine chill and you will see what I mean. The distance needs to be lowered to 16m because right now it's just too overpowered.
Could you imagine a killer perk that let you know if survivors were in a conal 36m direction of where you're looking? It would be absolutely busted and nerfed on Day 1.
You are way over estimating SC value. It's not nearly that strong and it can be countered. If the range was 16m it would be completely useless.

The majority of perks don't give such a huge advantage for no effort.
Look at the other Exhaustion perks. They all have some stipulation before they can be activated that reduces their usefulness, making them all viable alternatives to each other.
Sprint Burst can't be saved unless you waste time walking all over the place.
Lithe needs a window or pallet vault.
Balanced Landing needs a high enough drop (and some maps such as Shelter Woods have none at all, except the basement stairs).
Smash Hit requires a successful pallet stun.
Dead Hard can be activated on will to save yourself after making a mistake. That's pure second chance in a nutshell, and can be used multiple times per game. At least DS and Unbreakable are single use only.
It has a condition, it's called being injured.

keys are supposed to be a rare item yet they are almost as abundant as a brown medkit is if not more so. I've seen TWO purple keys found in a match where no extra chests were added, and the person serching did not have ANYTHING that allowed more chance (pluderer's etc) to find something good OR even a second search. just straight up two searches in two chests got purple keys. there is something that changed since the perk Hoarder was added and then changed that made keys more prevalent. the abuse is not that they are used but there is no counter to them and nothing has been done in 6-7 months since it was announced they would make changes! this is the problem people have and why it is seen as abuse.
I never get keys unless I run Plunders. Which is not to say they might not be spawning more than usual, but it could also be people's bias reinforcing their opinions.
-
I wouldn't.
-
Neither really. There's so many variables that neither can really be said to have the edge.
-
They're free helps alot. Lots of cosmetics is another point on their favor. Lastly Jane and Jeff are ungodly loud.
-
You can't abuse keys. You not liking something doesn't mean it's being abused.
-
If it's end game they can suck it up and deal with it.
-
Practice is the only way. Ohtofu has a good Nurse guide that might help with the basics. Rayoxium plays alot of Nurse so you could probably pickup so stuff from her as well. In the end you just have to accept you'll lose alot and not let it get to you.
