They're already annoying enough as is. They interrupt every gen I'm on.
-
Why do I always get the worst maps for whatever side I'm playing? Simply put, my luck is #########.
-
All four survivors are competing for unhooks. Nobody is competing with the killer for hooks.
-
And killers drive survivors to not play nice. It's just how things work.

But why do I have to use a perk to increase FOV? That's stupid.
Because it's part of the games balance.

She can be fun to play against, and so are Nurse and Spirit. A lot of the time you'll face the extremes though: Noobs who just camp, trap the hook 5 times and have NOED, OR people who want to end the game quickly and slug everyone out. But the people in the middle area are quite fun if you can ever find them.
To each their own. Personally I despise Hag and Spirit.

The amount of full Vanessa lobbies I ran into were insane..but yeah I was surprised at the representation in that game. Even Sheldon and Kenny, who imo are the most lackluster were still relatively common.
Oh yeah. Lol there were definitely the 7 Vanessa lobbies. I always felt bad for that Jason. Fortunately most of those Vanessa's were potatoes.

Really? I didn't play it myself, but I binged a lot of streams for it, and it seemed like in all the games I watched, everyone who wanted to run Jason wanted to be Vanessa or Tiffany, everyone who wanted to protect teammates and harass Jason wanted to be Buggzy, and repair players would never pick Mitch or Eric when Deborah was an option that was significantly better at hiding if her bodyguards kicked it early.
Friday the 13th also had different gameplay that kind of allowed characters to be less interchangeable, since there were more players who could die faster, much larger maps, more incentive to group up, and several simultaneous ways to escape. But I didn't see a lot of variety, and several counsellors fell into the trap of rarely being picked because they weren't good at anything significant or weren't significantly good at anything. Wouldn't be a game I'd use as an example of stats encouraging diversity.
It all depends on what you valued. Straight running power Vanessa and Tiff were best. Chad and Jenny were better for a run and fight strategy. Repair wise Deb could do it fastest, but Mitch and A.J. were great options for their high composure and better stamina. Fox and Adam were more your Jack of all trade types. Honestly they all had a role to fill depending on what you valued most.

Killers shack is too weak for survivors, needs another window and pallet on both doors.
You're trolling right? It's honestly the best design in the game. Reasonable safety with a fair chance for the killer to mind game it.
-
Agreed. Currently you're basically required to use a bag addon.

As in go to the outfit set page and click on an outfit set if you have one, not individual pieces. The button that is left to the head cosmetic slot. That's what worked for me. If you don't have any outfits for the character then I'm not sure what else could fix it short of contacting support. Sorry if I did a poor job conveying what to do the first time, hopefully you get it sorted out.
No worries. I clicked the sort by rarity button and that fixed it.

How are they playing toxic? Camping in basement as Bubba isn't toxic and however you formulated that opinion is wrong. Just because you don't like something doesn't make it "TOXIC". You are also not the one who can dictate how the killer plays to have fun. Maybe they like having chill games where they down one survivor and stay near them the entire time they are on hook.
Come on now. We all know why camping Bubbas do it. Aside from the newbies who don't actually know how to play. They do it for the express purpose of ruining others games. Let's not pretend it's because they want a chill game.
-
Aren't they like one of the absolute best survivor teams in the world? Facing a guy using Wraith and never plays comp himself? Why wouldn't he get annihilated?

You would see way less variety if this were true.
You see Neas, Megs, and Claudettes because they're survivors everyone has by default. Character stats tell everyone that to play as effectively as possible, they have to pick a certain character. It's now part of the minmaxing meta the same way perks are. Every looper now wants to play Meg because she's objectively the best at it, and maybe you can play Nea or Tapp or Leon too and still do well, but if you like Adam or Ace or Yun-Jin, you're SOL because they all have penalties to those stats. If you find an Ash and a Jane working on a gen, you as the killer should always go after the Jane because she's slower and takes less time to catch, or because Jane will complete the gen faster than Ash can. And inevitably you'd see the majority of survivors get shafted because they don't excel at anything or the thing they excel at isn't as important as the thing other survivor excels at. Maybe Jake's best stat is sabotaging and sneaking, so he sabos faster and creates shorter-lived scratch marks, but this just isn't optimal enough compared to Dwight's faster gen speeds, or Claudette's equal stealth and more widely useful healing buff instead of sabotage. And maybe Dwight isn't even viable because his gen speed repair comes with a movement speed penalty, but Felix's gen speed repair comes with a less impactful luck penalty. Maybe Kate's best stat is a shortened wiggle timer, but that's too situational to be effective on its own, and she's bad at gens which are very important, so why would you ever pick her anymore?
Even if it makes more sense and adds more flavor otherwise, I prefer everyone being the same. It lets people pick the characters they like instead of the character ends up being the best possible choice for their playstyle.
Not necessarily. F13 had alot of variety in who people played as. Granted there were always some who were more popular than others.
-
I like the idea, but it would need to be implemented extremely carefully. They'd need to be very minor, otherwise you'd end up with a single meta character. Maybe something like this;
Claudette heals others 1% faster.
Dwight boosts others bp by 1%.
Stuff like this might work.

A or B tier. Yes probably most fun killer to play and also fun to go against. It's not the normal chase and loop game and that is only positive.
You actually enjoy facing Hag? Are you feeling okay?

If you have any outfits for that character, like I did with Wraith, click on the outfit button and choose one and your cosmetics will be back. I was freaking out when I saw all my Wraith tops missing but when I did that trick they just magically appeared. Hope this helps!
Do you mean click on an empty space, or one of the remaining cosmetics. If you mean the remaining I've done that.

@Mandy said:
Are they actually missing from your inventory or just unequipped?
Missing, all my Dwight torsos are gone except the two base ones. My Claudette prestige torso as well as other are missing as well.

Yeah, he feels hella slow when playing him.

Correction to your title: this patch made DBD unfun.
These performance issues is for Both sides so hopefully it Will be fixed soon.
Survivor hasn't been that bad. It still has it's rough moments but nowhere near as bad as killer has been.

Maybe thats true, but dbd is more complex than other multiplayer games.
The ######### it is.
-
Wraith, at least as a killer is fun as hell. His true invisibility and speed makes him feel like he's a proper hunter stalking his prey. Add to that his addons afford a wide variety of playstyle options and he's very enjoyable to play as. From a survivor standpoint I can see why he can be frustrating though.

I should have clarified. I was referring to Counterforce. Which is basically a better version of small game.
Counterforce is okay. Honestly after trying it the speed boost is a let down. Add to that the next totem it shows is across the map and it's pretty meh.

With the addition of Small Game 2.0, I think that totem builds will likely die down a bit. The RNG of even having them in a good spot won't matter if a survivor can keep cleansing and finding out where the rest are.
How would running 2 perks that both have limited effects before being deactivated permanently become meta? You might make space for 1. But running 2 would cause half your build to be deleted after the timer runs out.
Small game sucks though.

There's absolutely no reason to nerf Bbq. Distortion could definitely use a buff though. Give it some way to regain tokens.

Yeah, now I can't even check to see if anything else is missing i keep getting told I have no network connection.
-
It went missing after I did the tutorial.

@glitchboi said:
It doesn't delete your stuff, it just resets your loadouts and cosmetics, which is really annoying. Spent 10 minutes putting my cosmetics and charms back on for each of my killers, and another 10 for my survivors.
My P3 is gone off Claudette. I'm also missing a jacket from her.
-
They're not great for getting hits. Their main use is tracking and chasing survivors off gens. I had to abandon gens so many times because of those bastards.
-
I might if every Nemesis I faced didn't proxy and tunnel.
-
Hopefully that's where they're headed.
-
I've found them to be a massive annoyance.

I bought them when they weren't linked so you know.
Then I agree it's bullshit.
-
Infection is so his tentacle downs in 2 hits. If not it takes 3.
-
I have to disagree. I want it to stay as my anti blendette addon. 3 blendys and a Jeff on Midwich last night. That game would have been absolutely miserable without it.
-
So don't buy it? Literally all you need to do is not spend money on it. Eventually they'll stop making linked sets if nobody buys them.
-
The only thing that bothers me is when they're obnoxious about it. I don't mind getting my ass handed to me. I mind when they're jerks about it.
-
I haven't crashed yet. Leary's was unplayable though.
-
Who cares? I'm far more concerned with the game actually functioning properly.
-
My first game was awful. It kept stuttering.
-
Maybe try restarting your game? I wouldn't think it would matter, but it's worth a shot.

800 usd yeah it’s only 350 pounds lol & I mean I have loads of games to play so I don’t just play dead by daylight so buying a new console was worth the price... but the PS4 pro version runs fine aswell ? If it’s the old console and to be fair they came out in 2012 -2013 we are in 2021 you can’t be expecting them to run games as smooth as they were especially now game devs are optimising for next gen & pcs.... did you see cyberpunk..... 🤣 need I say anymore
The issue is also availability. PS5's were pretty limited and still are as far as I'm aware.
-
The survivor ones are much worse for taking multiple games.
-
You're good. Any reasonable person will see it's the survivors fault you are there. Intercepting a rescue is perfectly fair.

For survivor: WGLF
For Killer: BBQ & Chill
And now i do not need put perk for bonus BPs. I really hate that use this both perks but i have to use because of BP.
I do like your list, but for the sake of something different I'll pick something else.
Killer: Whispers.
Survivor: Kindred.
-
I didn't run it pre nerf. I see no reason to run it now. If the killer tunnels so be it. I don't need to hang around.
-
Death Slinger. Ugh, I feel dirty.
-
His addons are now total garbage. Overheat while not a huge deal was just pointless to add. He became buggy after his nerf. The God awful chase music and roar. Insta saw was op and needed a nerf. The rest of what the did was unnecessary. They took the most fun killer for both sides and gutted him.
-
Dwight plus Kindred. Plague plus Whispers.
