Because it is fun.
Fun for who? Every game I've had has sucked. Events are pretty much always miserable.

I kind of despise this mentality? You're more interested in punishing a potential bad opponent than rewarding your 3 teammates, or yourself, or a farming killer that might come along. It's pure spite and it's actively detrimental to yourself to go 'I'm not going to bring an item that benefits me if it also benefits another player.'
Anyway. Killers generally have plenty of cake to spare. Survivors don't because they have three other items they'll find in place of a cake. I'd bring a cake every game if I could.
It's not simply due to my not wanting to reward them. They way they've been playing I get ######### points. Why would I waste cakes when I know I'll likely get maybe 15k?

You're a fool. It was a joke, if you knew anything about the game, youd know I cant see which survivor isnt the one who didnt bring a cake.
You said if you knew if being the key word. I'm well aware you can't know. It's the mentality I disagreed with. You say it was a joke? Fair enough. Doesn't change why I'm not going to burn a single cake.

Yet you get to benefit off of the others who do, dont you. I am giving the group 105% more bp how am I being scummy
Every single game I've had has been a tunneling camping killer. I have no intention of rewarding them with extra bp.
As for how you're being scummy, threatening to tunnel the person who didn't burn a cake is ######### behavior.

Anyone else annoyed when you are loading in
Cake
Cake
Cake
yesssss
Cake
YESSSSSSS
Personal stack item. If I knew who it was, I would tunnel the hell out of them
And that right there is why I don't bring them. I don't have many anyway, but I'm not wasting the few I have when killers are being scummy.
-
All it did was break the game for console. Totally worth it.

No, the post was about how much easier it is for killers to get. Have you tried all adept killers in red ranks, it's a lot more difficult than surviving a trial.
The time limit is long enough to get them on all survivors. I am sure people can survive two or three times per day even if only by hatch camping.
Yes, I'm saying since one has a time limit and one doesn't they're not comparable. Not that it matters, but I have all but two of the killer adepts. One of which is a killer I don't own.
-
@Purgatorian said:
Explain why survivors can get adept achievements by just escaping when the killer has to 2 pip. Let killers at least get the crowns easier lol.
Limited time cosmetic verse an achievement with no time limit. Yup, totally comparable. For the record, I don't agree with the double pip requirement, but these two things are completely different.

I just got home and I was looking forward to hopping into the event, but I couldn't help but notice the plethora of issues that gamers have been reporting on. I just cannot wrap my head around how inept BHVR is by continuing to pretend like the game is perfectly functional to launch the event when the chapter is still buggy as hell.
I can deal with the bugs. Killers playing like ######### has killed any ambition I had to play.
-
Not really. At least I haven't. I've given up on it.
-
@TheClownIsKing said:
Because most of them are unable to play properly on PS4 or XBONE. The performance issues are making chases extremely difficult for them. So yeah, once they miraculously achieve a hook, they’re gonna camp. They want other survivors to come to THEM. Once they can chase properly again, things like this should be reduced.
Yeah, we both know that is a load of bullshit. The exact same thing happened last year.

So either you're tunneling and camping everyone as the killer, or you're not playing killer and so don't have an accurate view on the general survivor behaviour.
Personally, I'm in the latter catagory, because every event so far has been filled with just the worst survivors. It's like playing in the evenings, but all day long.
How would my view be inaccurate? Every killer I've had so far has camped and tunneled. Every single one. Nobody was rushing gens. Nobody had done anything toxic. They've just been ######### for no reason.
-
They are. They're an even bigger pain in the ass.
-
@MadLordJack said:
These events usually consist of back-to-back bully squads that punish killers for trying to play nice, so it's understandable. It's just casual's getting caught in the middle, I suppose. Which is stupid because this is literally a casual, unbalanced game but what can you do?
Yet every game if been in has been a tunneling camping killer. Not a single bully squad.
-
Basically every game has been a ######### show. Last game I had was Insidious camping Bubba with a Mori.

good headphones = she knows exactly where you are and the survivors dont know anything.
she can hear footsteps, and grunts of pain
good spirits dont swing immediately but regain vision to know where the survivor is if they dont know already.
She maintains her insane speed for a hot second after coming out of phase.
completely invisible with no audio or visual cues for the survivor, whereas the spirit can hear survivors and see blood/scratch-marks
The stand still at a pallet mind game.
Any form of counter play just involves the survivor flailing around and hoping for the best.
Add to this most Spirits play super sweaty, at least in my experience.
-
Happens every event. More people want to play killer because of the ludicrous difference between the bp they get compared to survivor.
-
I could careless about the crowns, but I'd of killed the #########.
-
Go after the person fresh off the hook or don't. Stop blaming the survivors for your choices though.
-
Welcome to every event ever.
-
No. There are killers I despise. I never have an enjoyable game against them.
-
None, I never care about events.
-
I rarely see her. Never seeing her would be better.
-
Don't worry about ranking up. Just focus on getting better. It's a ######### situation, but the only way out is through.
-
God no. They're annoying enough as is.
-
How would that help? Knowing where gens are won't stop them.
-
Hopefully never again.

"It's a casual game" is not an argument. And this isn't a casual game, regardless of how you feel about it. It's a team based asymmetrical competitive game with ranked matchmaking. Not Stardew Valley.
It's a casual game is an argument. It's not hard to understand. A competitive game is taken seriously. The majority of the player base doesn't take this game seriously. There are people who want to treat this game like it's an esport, but it's not and never will be.
-
I'm kind of mixed on it. I like the idea, but F13 the game was so much fun. I'd really miss having the Jason with multiple abilities.

i have 2000 hrs playing (80% killer and 20% survivor) i always thought that killers are in disvantage, so i decided to play survivor only until rank 1. Then i really confirmed that, it was such crazy that someone like me could loop rank 1 killers with infinites in some maps. this is a bit shocking lol
i don´t know how they can balance the game but this was a crazy experience
What do u think about this guys?
Why wouldn't you be able to loop killers with 2,000 hours? Some of the best survivors are killer mains. They know how to exploit a particular killers weakness because they're more familiar with that killer.
-
Because it's a casual game where most people are just screwing around.

Nope, it affected everyone, dont tell me that you hit 100% of all the great skill checks, nobody is buying that bs, old ruin was an amazing perk and the only thing that prevented genrushing, + every great skill check didnt give you bonus progression it would just allow the generator to progress normally. It was an insane stalling perk and in the second they nerfed it gens started to pop like crazy everywhere. I play everyday this game at rank 1-2 both survivor and killer, i know both perspectives, currently most of the survivors spawn together (without a shroud) and most of the times in the immediate proximity of a generator (if you dont trust me use the perk "Lethal Pursuer" and you are gonna see the patherns). As a killer when the old ruin was out you had a pretty good amount of time to get things done, nowadays you finish a chase and 2-3 gens are rammed into your head depending on your luck with pallet spawns (exception being Nurse and Spirit again). That nerf had a butterfly effect attached to it, gens get done faster, killers start to get frustrated because they cant apply pressure, survivors acting cocky (latern clickers and t-baggers), and we land at the final spot, more killers started to proxy camp and tunnel to be able to win a game (just today i had a game against a Freddy in which i ran the poor guy for 5 gens because of the pallet setups).
So yeah this is the analysis of the butterfly effect caused by the nerf of the perk called "Ruin". It didnt affect only noobs, it affected everyone and brought a relative balance to the gameplay and the amount of players that camped and tunnel back when ruin was good was way smaller than it is right now. I saw a lot of people complaining about this, but currently in the current meta, it's the only thing left for them to do to get the wins. I dont like it, but honestly i understand it.
100% of course not. It did train me to hit them extremely consistently though. That's assuming it lasted more than a minute.

No, just let the killer be aware that it's there.
That would make the perk completely useless.
-
BT is honestly mandatory anymore. Tunneling has gotten so bad you just kinda have to run it.
-
@Chagi said:
Blame it on the devs guys, since the ruin nerf the amount of camping and tunneling has increased, they didnt balance the game in the slightest since that change.
Uhh old Ruin only effected noobs.
-
As shown above, there are alot of reasons people don't heal. Ultimately finishing a gen at the risk of losing a hookstate is a good gamble.

In my opinion Nemesis feels balanced.
Takes three m2 attacks and has 115% speed. Dodging his tentacle feels the same as huntress, except the hitboxes are smaller. If anything I'm on the side of buffing Nemesis on the basis of giving him more zombies.
God no. I hate those damn zombies.

Flashlights are bad? Uhh okay...
They're too situational for my taste.
-
Detective's Hunch by far. It gives you so much information. Combo with a map and those totems don't stand a chance.
-
That argument would hold weight if the consoles in question couldn't handle far more demanding games with no problem. Since they can we can say it's a DbD issue not a hardware one.
-
Ultimately what did anyone expect? Most maps have massive dead zones and we have a bunch of killers that you can't really loop since their power is designed to counter that. In the end the most viable strategy is to run.

I'd love to see you upload survivor gameplay of you doing all 5 totems every round, losing the game because the generators weren't complete, and then finding out he didn't even have noed.
And something tells me that you're lying about doing all 5 dull totems every match in solo queue
I said nearly. The times I don't is because my teammates can't last in a chase longer than 20 seconds.
-
@Product said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2310238#Comment_2310238
Not a single team does all 5 dull totems.
Yet I, a solo survivor manage it nearly every game. A job made easier if my team actually deals with the totems they see. Also I reread your post. I see nothing that changes my point.
-
I swear the number of times I get one hooked is ridiculous anymore. I get a teammate off the hook, get chased, and get left on the hook afterwards.

Because they don't want the killer to have any options in how they play. Honestly with the amount of healing speed perks why would you not want to be slugged? Oh...i know why, they don't want to depend on teammates to help them in dire situations, even though the 4 survivors are a team and that team should be = to the killer.
Find me a team i can depend on and I won't mind anything.

Double standards survivors can play and do whatever they want. But killers get yelled at for everything.
Yeah, cause killers don't endlessly ######### about hatch, items and survivor Perks.
