It's easy to do all 5 bones in a solo queue game? Also what if you do all 5 bones and he doesn't even have noed?
It's not hard to do. If you do all 5 and no Noed you get sweet sweet blood points and light bringer. So, still a win.

You want me to cleanse all 5 dull totems for the 10% chance that the killer has noed, and also use detective's hunch for the 10% chance that the killer has noed? Your argument is so ######### it actually hurts my brain.
Not like Ruin/Undying are meta or anything right now. The perk can help you prevent three gens, find a chest if you need, and find the killers hex totems. Given all that I'd say my argument is pretty good actually. By all means run whatever you like. Just don't pretend it takes some mystical power do do something easy.
-
@Product said:
Noed is a terrible perk for four main reasons
1) There really isn't a way to counter it immediately unless you happen to already be next to the hex totem, or magically do all 5 dull totems just in the small off-chance the killer has this one perk.
2) There is no warning that it is coming. You can have an amazing chase at the end of the game whilst trying to save a teammate off of a hook, you try to take a hit for a speed boost, and then bam, your dead for literally playing the game correctly.
3) It is undeniably a crutch for terrible killers. I have been in so many games where I have looped the killer for at least 2-3 gens, and then as soon as he catches up after 2 minutes he manages to just one shot me and then camp me in the basement.
4) It punishes survivors for playing well, and rewards killers for playing badly. This is an extremely powerful perk that only activates when all generators are done. Even perks like Remember Me and Blood Warden at least take some work to get. For Noed, your literally just handed it for free when your about to lose the game.
Uh it doesn't take magic. It's called Detective's Hunch.

you don't want to get hit with Big Daddy's noodle and receive the infected status. But, if you do, you need to try and hide or get rid of it, because all of sudden, Nemesis just got a lot more scary
This is why I don't buy the weak argument. It takes him a little time to build up, but it's pretty strong once he does. Add to that the zombie pests and he's really not bad.
-
He's honestly so boring to face.

I mean, alot of them are. Of course alot of killer players are bad too.

What exactly does everyone want, aside from the ability to exploit the game in ways that the developer doesn't want and free "compensation" for the game developing undesired bugs?
I'll start. It's their fifth anniversary so I think that BHVR could have shown their effort by providing me with a free car. I'd still hate them and call them lazy, inept, greedy, stupid, worthless, evil, and every other negative thing I could think of while continuing to play the game and demanding a full cash refund, but man it would be nice to have a new car. Oh, I want my cosmetic glitch given back to me too. They owe me.
At a guess, people would like events to actually feel like events. My all time favorite is still the Summer BBQ event. Margarita gens and Grill hooks were really cool. Add in the extra bp from finishing the gens/using those hooks and it was alot of fun. In short they made events that were fun, not copy and paste.

Yeah, thats why they nerfed hillbilly. Because killer mains wanted it.
To be fair, nobody wanted it.
As for Otz, he and Tofu are the to most fair minded DbD streamers in my opinion.

That would be even better than a one time 75% use. Wire Spool and Scraps are as expensive as a brand new parts
It would be better if you got good items out of the chest. It's always a craps shoot what you'll get from a chest. I mentioned ultra due to the relative rarity, not the cost.

Wow thats like 1 brand new part
Without needing to hit the skill checks or an ultra rare addon. Your suggestion would push it to over 30 seconds saved. That's not even adding in Streetwise. I love Built to Last, but that would be broken. If anything I wish it would refill any depleted item by 50%. Meaning if I grab multiple things from chests it procs multiple times.

An engineers toolbox with wire spool and scraps can save 27 seconds using Built to Last.

I have no issues traversing the map. If you hold w and not plan routing then yeah the map is going to beat you. Also id say there are worse maps as far as traversal. Seems you're just regurgitating whats been said by others
Or, and I know this might seem crazy, I don't like it for the same reason as others.

Here we have the I make broad assumptions and don't like being called out on it guy.

if you want to talk about perks carrying people, the entirety of purple and red ranks are survivors that have a single perk slot, the other 3 being the perks that you know which perks they are.
Oh? Do tell, what perks are those? Cause I'm pretty sure you won't be even close to what I run.

Yeah im among the minority that actually loves the map. I think the mentality of hating the map comes from lazy streamers who just want to focus on their chat and not the match. Midwich requires a bit of attention to form proper game plans. Its a popular opinion because a lot of dbd player regurgitate they're favorite streamers opinion
Yes, it couldn't be that it's a shity design that takes too long to traverse.
-
Have you considered just calling it a night? Maybe just putting the game down if it's frustrating you rather than seeking some petty revenge?
-
Yes, because it can work on any map. Scratched Mirror only works on a few maps. Alot of people say it's op, but honestly if you're paying attention you'll be fine.
-
There's supposed to be a hot fix later today. No details yet. They usually don't give details till just a bit before an update.
-
Gens need to give more bp. 1250 for a single gen is pitiful. Add survival points for time in the match.

This isn't even true, achievements can be removed. They have before.
On PC or console? Console achievements are the issue.

Survivor: Dwight, Claudette, and Feng. Recently having added Ace to the group. For some reason I feel the most comfortable playing them. Not really sure why. Also they all have cool cosmetics.
Killer: Wraith, Doc and Mikey. Wraith because the speed combined with the invisibility makes me feel like a proper hunter. Doc because sometimes I suck at tracking. Lastly Mikey because his ability to snowball is fun.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
Because most Blight players can't play him very well so instead of taking losses and getting better they slap on that build and go to town.
To be fair, you need the match to last long enough for you to be able to practice.
-
The best idea I've seen is hatch doesn't spawn till all gens are complete or last survivor standing. That way they're nice, but not game breaking. As for the broken key, I like the idea of it opening the exit gate, but faster not entirely.
-
It all depends on the perk in question.
Take Lightweight. Scratch marks last 1/2/3 seconds less. I'd increase it to 2/3/4 seconds and reduce or even eliminate noises from footfalls.
Predator is pretty bad. Currently just makes scratch marks spawn tighter together. I'd change it to make them easier to see, kinda like Bloodhound, but for scratch marks. Then I'd have it make foot step sounds louder.

Their explanation isn't good enough. It's just a convenient excuse to get them out of fixing the game's biggest balance issues.
Hatch is only a big deal when keys are involved. The best suggestion I've seen has been hatch only spawns if all gens are done. Or there's only one survivor left. This is by far the easiest solution and I believe the best one.

I don't think this is a good idea.
With the nerf to Franklin's, there isn't much of a counter to Keys. Making them invisible during the lobby would prevent lobby dodging and encourage the Killer to tunnel the Key-user out.
Additionally, Survivors are not supposed to know who the Killer is prior to the match, nor what add-ons they bring. That would be unfair. The Killer doesn't know what add-ons the Survivors have, nor their perks.
Let's not pretend the killer isn't going to tunnel the key no matter what. I really hope they redesign them soon. I'd like to use the aura reading.

Blind them, lead them to a pallet, work on a different gen, etc.
Don't have a flashlight, not going to waste a pallet, I do move and get interrupted at the new gen by the other zombie.

I know it's bait, but solo has been pretty damn awful lately.
-
Most survivors are terrible. Add to that most, at least in my experience, killers employ at least some tunneling. Throw in maps with massive dead zones and it's easy to see why kill rates are high.
-
Split up is the counter to Legion. Legion's entire power is injuring multiple survivors in one go. If you can negate that you've left them as an m1 killer.

I disagree. Objectives are typically to funnel players towards each other. A killer guarding the gens is guarding the objective. It's also the only objective a killer can reasonably be expected to know the location of because of the auras. Survivors have inherited the game mechanics from when this game was intended to be a stealth game in the form of the terror radius. If survivors don't want to be found, especially on the oh so well designed big maps that somehow have not been significantly reworked during the updates, they simply will not be found for an insanely long time. Killers are intended to defend generators. They're the defensive party. Survivors are the offensive party. If the survivors are actively deciding to not do the objective, they're the ones holding the game hostage and just being petty because they played poorly. And yes, this happens a lot. Often times survivors do just hide out of spite the instant they're loosing with only 2 people remaining with no intention of completing the generators regardless if you're defending them or not. Honestly, this game needs a timer and a forfeit option.
My point is neither side were willing to take a risk. By no means am I saying the survivors weren't in the wrong, they most certainly were. I just feel the OP is incorrect to feel they have no obligation to actually look for the survivors.

Its been confirmed numerous times if the survivors are just hiding and refusing to advance the gamestate (nomatter the situation) they are holding the game hostage. The killers employing a strategy which is allowed. Waiting for a hour in a corner isnt a strategy just delaying the gamestate for so long. The survivors job is to do gens to advance the game and they are refusing to do it. Ive even had games where i left my 3gen for a minute to search and came back and no progress was done.
Neither side is advancing the game state. That was my point. I'm not saying the survivors were in the right, they clearly weren't. All I'm saying is I disagree with the OP thinking he shouldn't actually need to look for survivors.

I think from Nemesis' perspective it's easy to miss just how often zombies push people off gens. For Survivors it's annoying af. There's nothing like killing one zombie and having the other one roll up seconds later. Not to mention when they spawn or respawn right by a generator. If their routing bugs out then the zombies might not accomplish much, but otherwise they do their job well.
I already dislike Nemesis due to nearly every one I encounter loves to proxy and tunnel off the hook. The zombies just add to the annoying nature of facing him.
-
Your argument really doesn't work. Yeah, they're obligated to attempt to do the gens. You are obligated to actually find them. If you just run in a circle around your three gen you're just as guilty of delaying the game as them.
