it comes down to this, if there's a discount I feel like I could spend more and get more value out of it. If I get 30$ of stuff spending 20$ I'm more likely to spend more than if I'm getting 15$ out of spending 10$. It also creates an issue of supply and demand, if there's never a demand for my particular gaming money at any particular time other gaming companies will get my money before BHVR does around certain circumstances.
$30 for $20 is literally the same as $15 for $10...do you even math bro?
-
With a few tweaks this could work and be a really unique addition to dbd...
But you can't have a killer that moves that fast coupled with a power that encourages survivors to move slower

I have no issues with framerate on any killer on xbox and actually think the nurse works better after the "nerf"

@2Khours said:
Behavior has no idea when to stop with the nerfs, it takes them 1 month for a nerf but 2 years for a buff,
And when they buff it's something really small, but when they nerf it's massive, every single time, first it was legion, then it was nurse, and now it's spirit,
Collission removal, ok, fine!
Vault animation, PAIN IN THE ASS!!!! but fair i guess since every other killer has one, but still a pain in the ass.
Activation add-on, just being a pain in the ass, why nerf these? just why?
The Yakuyoke Amulet, freaking why? 3.5 seconds extra for loosing 15% speed? that's an overkill nerf, what the hell are you thinking? it could have been 3 commons in 1 instead of 2 uncommons, why the overkill?
The wakizashi and the tsuba , why nerf the tsuba? yea sure the wakizashi needed one i agree, but not the tsuba.
you need to stop doing overkill nerfs, look at the nurse now, for sure it doesn't affect the spirit base kit that much, but some changes are really annoying when they weren't an issue.
I really start to feel like you only want we hate you, why you do so much to make us hate you behavior? you don't seem to know how to balance your own game, you take so much and give so little, maybe play more than 5 hours a month to your game and maybe you could balance it better.
Haha seriously?

you've obviously not seen people dropping every pallet on the map in a single chase to try and complete challenges faster...
You obviously don't understand the word "forced". If some jackass tries to drop all the pallets in one match that's his fault, not the devs, not the challenges, not the archives.

You guys have over 2 weeks to complete each tome. The challenges are harder then last tome, and i like that. I would be dissapointed if every challenge was like "open 2 chests" or "kick the same generator twice". Im glad, that challenges are getting harder and harder.
I agree...just play the game and they will happen

@HatCreature said:
There are so few Killer challenges this time and they're mostly Master Challenges which is fine as they reward more but there are only 5 Killer challenges, hooray for playing Survivor and WHY does the Killer node END with a SURVIVOR CHALLENGE?!
I know the Challenges are meant to get progressively harder down the line but some of these are designed to be done through dozens of games or play like ######### to get them done. Use 6 Med-Kits, well if you play Quentin you can start with a Med-Kit and then find a Med-Kit but then you rob everyone of Altrusim points and maybe you'll die before you can use the 2nd one.
I am not excited for Grabbing 1 Survivor off a Gen, Grabs have been so bad because of the servers that I lose chases because it denied me the grab and they got away; I don't trust that I can get the grab even if I play Ghostface. That's another thing too, ''Grabbing'' can only be done by Licensed stealth Killers and all of those are paid DLC, that challenge requires you to spend money to complete, unless you're a damn GOD with Tinkerer or have a Coxbombed Clapper on Wraith.
You dont have to grab off a gen...it can be windows, pallets or lockers too

Like seriously, who thought it would be a good idea to give away all the exclusives for free?
Are current exclusive owners going to receive any bonuses? A special variation of the owned exclusive skins maybe? Because if you get nothing for grinding or spending money (talking about Pax and also buying the exclusives) and someone who just installed the game gets all the rewards for doing absolutely nothing, then it's really unfair. They simply don't deserve these skins. If current exclusives owners aren't getting anything, then add these skins to the shop for 1080 auric cells or whatever so at least they won't be used by everyone in the game and will keep some of their rarity.
Also, if they get added to your inventory by default, will these free skins be changed to "Common"? Because something like that doesn't deserve to be called "Ultra Rare" if you see it every game.
Lol

Would you like to play a game? It's called would you rather. For those of you unfamiliar you get to choose one of the two options so please refrain from posts saying we deserve both and how greedy you think BHVR is and how you think they should give us everything we want for free. That's not what this thought experiment is about.
Since many people have expressed their dislike of the archives, I'm curious. . . Would you rather have difficult tome challenges with a rift track that refunds Auric Cells OR easier tome challenges that the majority of players could complete in less time but there are no Auric Cells earned in the rift track?
Those are your two choices. Please don't reply with how much you hate BHVR and how you think they deceived all of the players and how you don't agree with them implementing something that costs money. We have PLENTY of those threads. The time has come to make your choice.
Easier challenges for sure...what's the point of coming out with new lore that most players won't even unlock?

I had this random idea and I wanted to just hear the communities opinion and to be open minded to each others points of view on it.
What if we limited SWF to 2 players per group and left SWFs with 4 players to a kill your friends. It seems to me that a lot of balance problems with the game revolve around 4 top tier survivors going against a single killer because survivors have such a high skill cap, aswell as the amount of communication survivors have with one another.
For example, if in a 4 man survive with friends one person is using object of obsession and communicates where the killer is at all times then its 4 people constantly knowing where they are while the killer can only see one of them. This level of communication gives a big edge.
In my own personal experience as queueing in a SWF with just me and one of my friends who are decent players at the game I've felt like the games were more fun and balanced. (We also don't communicate with mics). We are both red ranks. I could tell the killers had more fun playing against a balanced team and we all got an equal amount of points.
To conclude I also think if this change were made it would make sense to balance other aspects aswell to adapt to this dynamic, considering it essentially puts a skill cap on a survivor team.
I dont feel insanely biased about this being implemented I was just curious how other people feel and wanted to put my personal experience out there.
Yes!!! This would work perfectly

We should repeat this to the heavens:
You can double pip, even if you die. (Give or take depending on rank) While the end objective is to survive, the pipping system dictates you do other things.
That's why 20 second gen games end with EVERYONE losing a pip. Nobody gains enough points to do anything.
But most people dont care about pipping so...

Did you bring a mori?
Are you an optimal spirit/ killer?
Did their team have aids?
Did you down them when they were being toxic?
Were they unfairly downed? ( hit them 4 seconds after they vaulted the window you hit them through).
If so then you must be dealing with survivors that are salty about something your running.
If you brought a mori and they disconnect I don’t blame them.

Have to agree, I wish it wasn't but I had my bar at the same point.
Toxicity runs rampant in this game, DBD is far from having a happy supportive community. Even IDV being so similar there's a huge difference in the communities. You can camp someone to death and they'll still give a GG, It's crazy.
Could you imagine how much more fun the game would be if everyone was a good sport instead of sending hate after every single game.
Personally I think it's one of the games biggest downfalls.
Its true that the community is the worst part of the game but thats kind of a reflection of the state of people on the internet these days

I was all excited to purchase the battle pass when they first announced it. I thought it would be great, but then people started talking about how hard it may be to actually complete. So I decided to wait and level up the free track and only get the pass once I knew I could finish it.
Well after playing for four days straight I pretty much give up. The grind is just way too much. I have other things in life I need to do besides sit on this game for hours each day.
My opinion is you need to reduce the grind and maybe get rid of the auric cells if that is the factor that is making it so grindy and unfun. I'd rather pay $10 each time than rip my hair out trying to complete this pass.
Also you need to do a better job of showing what people get when they level up the pass. Show all the outfits in an advertisement or something. It's so strange to try to sort through and see 1 piece of a whole set at a time.
Anyone else give up on the rift?
Just 4 days? Lol

I am familiar with playing against all of the killers and have strategies to counter them...except Ghostface.
I don't know how to play against him. I'm not a beginner either - I'm a purple rank survivor. I could do with a few Kill Your Friends sessions for practice, but that's not possible at the moment. He just gets me into the exposed status too quickly.
Typically, I'll be on a gen at the start of the match then, BOOM, seemingly without warning - I'll be in the exposed status and he just downs me after a brief chase. I think the sound of the gen is likely masking the sound of his rippling robes and the warning sound during the marking process. I'm using a headset as well. Is it just me or does this happen to others?
I played a game yesterday against a Ghostface with ruin and some nasty add-ons:
Ghostface Caught on Tape (Ultra Rare)
- Tremendously increases the Stalking rate when leaning from cover.
- Tremendously decreases the Stalking rate when not leaning from cover.
Driver's License (Very Rare)
- Considerably decreases the detection range to reveal The Killer while Night Shroud is active.
It was not a fun match! Oh, and did I mention he had an Ebony Momento Mori? So he just moried everyone. This brings me to another point: killer add-ons need to be revised. I think anything that tremenously or considerably affects gameplay should be taken out of the game, as it's unfair. Ghostface already gets people exposed fast enough - does this really need to be tremendously speeded-up?
To be fair, I did get used to looking around for him during that match and listening for his rippling robes. I managed to be the last survivor to get killed. But I also think he partially marks me, then I escape, but when he finds me again, he seems to get me exposed in a split second. Is there any cooldown from marking progress?
I find Spine Chill effective against Ghostface and I used that perk a lot - but not always.
I was with you until you started talking crazy about addons...

What kind of changes do.you expect they can or will possibly make.for people playing with their friends? Its the dumbest thing as a killer to complain about. They've already changed it to give the group a match against a killer that closest matches the highest ranked survivor in the group. I get that them communication is a disadvantage to you but it's always going to be a thing and let's say they hear you and they decide to nerf gen speeds for swf groups. They'll just start all running prove thyself and tool boxes while aggressively grouping on gens. Then you'll be forced to run ruin and discordance then it'll still be an issue. No amount of complaining about swf is going to do anything they've already tried helping. If anything solo players will get something to give them more info like a swf. Unless they stop allowing discord to work on the game it's not happening and even then people will just use skype or something else till they stop allowing voice comms all together and then people will just stop playing and queue times will be longer and more people will stop playing.
They need to get rid of swf entirely... The game isnt intended to be like that

This is truly starting to frustrate me. I cannot complete this challenge today, because in every match, somebody will dc. This particular case just made me salty. The purple rank was a teabagger. Thought he was better than he was (even his name was meant to be toxic), teabagged every loop or outside vaults. Downed him the second time, he quits. His swf partner, at least I assume due to similar actions, dropped just as fast. The third person killed himself on first hook, giving the forth the hatch.
Can we DO something about this dcing epidemic? I'm sick of having to play only certain killers in only certain ways that align with the survivor rulebook to at least get a decent match. At the very least, can we have dcing count as a kill, so I can get beyond this challenge already?
Same here and it seems like always the only purple rank in the game dcs

If the last generator gets finished whilst they still have a reverse bear trap on they cannot leave until they take it off.
Literally the only thing that has changed is that traps placed after the last generator has been completed will not activate so you can leave with them still on.
Hmm must be a glitch cuz i chased a survivor right out the gate with her fancy hat...
-
@JFF said:
and yet there are still people who claim survivor is chill and easy compared to killer. Yeah 4 man coordinated swf is a lot stronger, but solo survivor experience is just awful. You have to deal with campers, tunnelers and dumb teammates, which is super frustrating. I’m rank 1 on both sides and imo it’s much more relaxing playing killer than solo survivor.
Thats just crazy talk

They can't leave it the Trap is active the only way to activate a trap is to to have a generator be completed whilst it's on the survivor.
This means that if all the generators are complete and you put a trap on somebody it's literally nothing more than a fancy party hat they could go whenever they want
Well if they have a rbt on and the last gen gets done, they can still leave which didnt use to work that way

I play on console so its actually much faster to que up as killer. While the matches may sometimes last longer sometimes. it beats waiting for a lobby upwards of 5 mins.
If i wasnt still unlocking teachables for my killers i might play survivor more for the rift xp gain but I get much better BP gains as killer on top of the full cap for a match more times than not. And finding a lobby on console often takes like15 seconds at most.
What ######### console takes 15 seconds for killer match?!

Thank you for the tips.
Ive pretty much have assumed that the purple coin would make this easier for me to achieve. Ive had no luck with my bloodweb though and have yet to see one on the survivor ive dumped BPs into all the way to lv 37.
I dont think empathic will be as difficult to achieve so im not worried about that one.
This is Happening is probably another one i might struggle a bit with. As a fairly new survivor i have struggled to hit great skillchecks and it often seems that when i do its by mere luck.
Try pairing it with stake out if you gave trouble with hitting great skill checks
